The quintessential kiwi bach, simple and functional, set in complete privacy within our farm on a stunning site high above all else. Originally hunting huts, this unique holiday home is actually four separate buildings that are linked by a large outdoor deck. We replaced roofing, renewed the decking and renovated the insides to create a unique holiday home that has a special character all its own. The front two pods are the living spaces: kitchen/dining and lounge each with stacker doors which open up onto the central deck. The two rear pods are identical in configuration, each split into a double room and a bunk room with internal access to each other, perfect for one family per pod. The bathroom adjoins the lounge and has a shower over a bath, a toilet and a double vanity. The utility room has washer, dryer and laundry tub and a second toilet. The outdoor shower on the northern deck is a completely open showering experience! Both double bedrooms enjoy the unequalled lake views and you'll wake to see the sun rising over Mount Tarawera. A genuine Stoked Hot Tub sits under a pohutukawa on the edge of the front lawn and is a perfect way to relax and enjoy the vista by day and the famous starfilled lake Tarawera sky by night. The lake bach is ideally suited for... We are within walking distance to the beautiful Nga Tapuwai o Toi walking track, 5 mins drive to Ohope beach and Whakatane town. Listen to the call of native birds, including Kiwi. Sit on the deck and watch the sun go down. This is a great place to unwind and relax.

Tokomaru Beach

Our place is built behind an historic building, only metres from the beautiful Tokomaru Bay Beach and 100 metres walk to Pakirikiri Marae.The facilities are all modern, with heat pump/air conditioning, acomodating 4 people with style, comfort and ease. One queen bed is in the lounge as a pull down/retractable and the second in a separate bedroom. Shower and toilet is an ensuite shared by all guests but accessed through the bedroom.
