The chalet has three generous bedrooms, functional kitchen with dishwasher, dining table for 8 people and comfortable lounge with large windows to soak up the all day sun. Great for families. High quality linen, towels and WIFI provided. Bedrooms are as follows - Queen sized bed (downstairs - Bedroom 1) - Double bed & King single bed (upstairs - Bedroom 2) - Queen sized bed + two singles (upstairs - Bedroom 3) The large deck is great for entertaining and enjoying views of Mt Ruapehu.

Cosy in the Centre of Ohakune

This one bedroom apartment is on the ground floor of our family home (we live on the 2nd and 3rd floors). It is in the middle of Ohakune, halfway between Turoa Junction and Ohakune centre. There a walks close by, Turoa is 20 minutes drive away and we have a list of walks that are nearby and suit a range of people. We are also close to the Ohakune Disc Golf Course and can put you in touch with the crew at TCB to hire discs. Our house manual also has a list of the best spots in Ohakune to hit up.

Our place is close to the great Tongariro National Park. It includes Mt Ruapehu for skiing or snow boarding and tramping. Walk the world famous Tongariro Crossing and discover the cycle ways, kayak the Whanganui River and explore the 'Bridge to No Where'. Try trout fishing, a game of golf or visit the Waiouru Army Museum. Enjoy our cosy home with a wood fire whilst taking in the amazing mountain and rural views. Misty Mountain Hut-Ruapehu is located in the sleepy little village of Rangataua, 5 minutes distance to Mountain road going up to the Turoa skifield and Ohakune. The 1 bedroom colonial villa has a beautiful view of the mountain. Unlimited wifi and a new firebox with plenty of firewood to ensure you are warm in winter. My favourite time here is summer for amazing walks/cycling up mountains to enjoy majestic views. Misty Mountain Hut supports local staff by paying $40/hr for cleaning.
