“My wife and I were looking for a comfortable place to hide from the virus before heading home after a family reunion and we found it. It included everything needed to cook for four days (except food😋) and located in an area that we could enjoy with minimal people contact. The host provided detailed information on use of the facility and things to do in the area.”
Cozy two bedroom cottage located in a quiet neighborhood with views and access to Lake Onalaska. Walk across the street to hike/bike. Near Great River State Bike Trail. The Lake Onalaska canoe/kayak trail goes past our shoreline. Two sit on top kayaks and two easy ride bicycles are included with the rental. There are fishing boat rentals nearby or use our dock to enjoy Lake Onalaska's famous sunsets while fishing for abundant panfish etc.
“Quiet, low key location with beautiful flowers (late June)! Cute, very clean cabin. Nice size for just my husband and I -- we used the spare room as a large closet for our clothes and biking/kayaking stuff. Would probably be a little cramped for 4 people unless it's parents with 2 little children - perfect for us though! We brought our own kayaks and bikes so did not use the ones provided. The parking spot right by the cabin was long enough to fit our kayak trailer and Dakota truck and was very convenient in addition to allowing us to store our kayaks out of view. Deck with table/chairs/umbrella was nice to relax and surrounding plants offered some feeling of privacy. All in all a very enjoyable stay for 6 nights!”
Two bedroom cabin on the edge of the Upper Mississippi Wildlife Refuge. Surrounded on one side by beautiful Lake Onalaska with prairie walking trails on the other. You will have access to hiking, biking, kayaking, canoeing, and fishing steps from your door. There are two public boat landings less than a mile away. This cabin has a full kitchen but if you prefer there are several restaurants nearby. Stay and experience all that "God's Country" has to offer. NEW: Wi-Fi Blu-ray/DVD player
“My husband and I loved staying here! We were very comfortable in the cabin which has all of your basic necessities (plus WiFi and Netflix for those rainy nights). It's literally steps away from Lake Onalaska and is perfect for kayaking. It's also a very short drive (or ride) to the Great River State Trail. This is awesome value for a great time up north.”
