Our Yurt - Your Getaway. Rustic Luxury!

Reconnect with nature and each other all year round. Perfect for a romantic holiday /proposal. Nestled in the woods, directly across the road from the lake, it is private but not secluded. Your stay includes outdoor leisure equipment for fun on the lake every season. Just relax, I do the dishes! There's no running water in the yurts well-appointed kitchenette but everything else you need is there! The toilet is in an outbuilding by the yurt and a gorgeous guest shower room is up at the house.

We are located four hours north of Toronto in one of the most beautiful areas of Ontario, Almaguin Highlands between Killarney Provincial Park, Grundy Provincial Park, Restoule Provincial Park and Algonquin Provincial Park. Fish's Yurt is located on Seagull Lake, a short 10 minute stroll down a private trail to the lake.

Relax by the toasty wood stove, chop firewood, and hike or snowshoe through the rolling landscape of forests, granite, and river. Centrally located between Toronto, Ottawa, and Montreal, and near Puzzle Lake Provincial Park. NOTE: For winter camping, depending on weather and road conditions, you may have to hike or snowshoe up to 1 km to reach the yurt. This is a real backwoods experience!

Short drive to Madoc (groceries, beer/ LCBO, parks, beach, library, bakery, restaurants, etc). Perfect area for star gazing, long walks & bike rides. This yurt is in a camping setting, with indoor compost toilet, no shower or wifi but there is electricity, dishes, indoor hot plate, BBQ, mini fridge, all pots & pans and bedding and clean drinking water.
