Holiday rentals with lake access in Osa

We stayed here for one week during our two week honeymoon. Drake bay appealed to us because of Corcovado and unspoiled natural surroundings of the Drake Bay Area. The Airbnb is in a fantastic location, situated just outside of Drake Bay. It felt very private, right on the beach. The property is beautiful, we loved being visited by scarlet macaws and white face monkeys. Our host, Alexis, was absolutely phenomenal. She helped with all our tour bookings, local recommendations and checking in each day to see if we needed anything. Alexis went above and beyond, and was the best host we’ve ever encountered. I would highly recommend staying at La Joyita, it’s a little piece of paradise that we will remember forever.

Absolutely stunning remote and peaceful hideaway. We loved sitting up on the deck listening to birds. The place is super comfortable and Claudia and Eric made sure we had everything we needed and were helpful to organise an excursion with a local tour guide for us. You definitely need a 4x4 and it's good to know it's a hot 25 min walk into town - there's a great selection of places to eat, La Jungla did delivery service which was so appreciated. Highly recommend the local water fall visit We absolutely loved Drakes bay and will be back! Thank you Claudia and Eric 🙏

Our family had a very peaceful stay. We enjoyed the pool in the early morning and evening. Very clean home. We appreciated the laundry option and dishwasher. The road up is very steep and would not recommend it at night. We saw toucans, parakeets and the howler monkeys (6) were in the big tree next to the house in the early evening. Bring insect repellant as you are in nature. Shower pressure and heat excellent. Very comfy beds. View of the ocean and mountains incredible as well as bedroom views. The kids swam at dominicolita beach which had huge waves- the Dominica beach was red flag and lifeguard only recommended going in to your knees.

La habitación es muy cómoda y está equipada con cocina y todo lo necesario para pasarla bien. La piscina es increíble y está justo al lado del río. Emmanuel y Fabricio son muy amables y siempre dispuestos a ayudar. Nos encantó la experiencia! Lodge is beautiful, even more beautiful than the pictures. The place is very peaceful surrounded by nature. The cabin was very comfortable and totally equipped with a kitchenette and everything you need to have a great time. The pool is amazing, right by the river. Emmanuel and Fabricio are very nice and always willing to help. We loved the experience!

Sabrina & Edu couldn’t have been better hosts! Their “end of the world” paradise is quiet & peaceful. Their home cooked meals were delicious & plentiful. The bungalows had thick netting so we could feel the cool night air as we slept. It was fabulous to wake up to all of the birdsongs every morning, They made a special effort to show us birds & animals. We really enjoyed the use of their boat to explore the River where their diverse ecosystem shines in the jungle. We also liked taking the boat on the lagoon to the beach. If you want a quiet and peaceful getaway, this is the place. However, Sabrina is happy to help you with any tours (and there are quite a few to choose from). We will always treasure our time here. :)

A very lovely place Everything was truly perfect

Cecile and Carla are the most welcoming hosts who made our stay very enjoyable. The property is stunning - we especially loved the pickleball court and infinity pool. This place is perfect if you’re looking for a relaxing retreat away. There’s a lot to do in the neighboring towns but also a lot to do should you want more of a staycation experience given how expansive and beautiful her place is. While it can be difficult to learn the way up the mountain initially, Cecile was incredibly helpful and the roads held up well despite the rain. She anticipated our every need such as ensuring we had spare lamps in case of power outages with storms that are typical in Costa Rica. Please follow her instructions and get that 4x4! Also know that it is at least a 4hr drive from SJO. I highly recommend booking at least a week long stay here - it’s truly a jungle oasis with the best hosts who make you feel right at home and go above and beyond. Thanks for an incredible stay! 10/10 would book again.

Excellent place very comfortable Esmeralda was so kind and attentive to us The place is wonderful, beautiful nature, lots of greenery The kitchen is very well equipped much more than basics We also enjoyed the campfire they have lit it for us It is located in a strategic place from there we could do several tours in Bahía Ballena Manuel Antonio playa linda y Nauyaca waterfalls We highly recommend this place and will definitely go back And it is pet friendly
