The area is dominated by open lands with grazing cows and horses so it is close to both forest and many lakes. At Oppmannasjön, about 300 meters from the house, there is a swimming area. Shop, pizzeria can be found in Arkelstorp, it is 5 km to get there. The shopping town of Kristianstad is located 25 km from the village and to the small charming town of Sölvesborg it is 23 km.
