Captain's residence at Mjøsa (Totenvika)

Modern holiday home in maritime style. The captain of Skibladner lived here for many years, and the house is full of shipping history. Here you will find 4 bedrooms with a total of 9 beds, a large bathroom with shower, washing machine and dryer, well-equipped kitchen, dining room and living room with a cozy wood-burning stove. The house also has a heat pump to keep a comfortable temperature all year round. If you want breakfast, we will buy it and put it in the fridge (NOK 850 fixed price for the whole house - paid separately).

Toten water park is 15 min away by car. You can pick up eggs from happy hens on the farm. Many nice hiking trails in the summer and ski slopes ( Karidalen) in the immediate vicinity in the winter. The stabbur belongs to the small farm Kollbekk. Large green areas and dog yard with house will be available to the guests. The location is in the vicinity of Mjøsa about a 1 hour drive from Gardermoen, the airport bus stops 200 meters from us. Within 15 minutes there is Totenåsen with abundant hiking opportunities winter such as summer, Norsk Hestesenter Starum, Gjøvik and Toten golf club Sillong, Gjøvik city with mountain hall and wheel steamer Skibladner. An hour's drive to the Mjøsbyene Lillehammer and Hamar.

From July 2025, we can finally welcome you to Hanshagan – an authentic farmhouse, closely restored in 1920s style, but with modern comfort. The house has recently been carefully restored: original materials have been preserved, old craft traditions continued, and all with respect for the history of the place. Here you can experience life as it was – without sacrificing warmth, hygiene or convenience. Hanshagan is beautifully situated in Stange Vestbygd and offers views of fields, forests and Mjøsa.

The cabin has running water, electricity, and internet. 1,5 hrs from Oslo.

The house is charming and cozy and located right next to Mjøsa. Here you can wake up listening to the waves from the lake and see beautiful sunsets at the evening. Mjøsa is Norway's larges lake with great fishing. The house have a 120 meter private shore with a beach in the end. Perfect for kids (see picture for equipment).
