Come and relax in our beautiful kingsize bedroom with own bathroom in a self contained Annex to our Somerset home near the Shapwick Moor Nature Reserve. Enjoy a delicious breakfast of warm croissants, muesli, yoghurt, fresh fruit, Orange Juice & toast (at a time if your choice between 8 - 1030 am), along with a Nespresso coffee machine, kettle, toaster, fridge and microwave. Catcott has 2 friendly local pubs (although King William is currently shut) who do great food within walking distance.

Approximately 10 mins from M5 junction 23 a perfect stop to spend a night or more exploring nearby surroundings, or attending a wedding nearby, or to break up a long journey. Quantock Hills are a 10min drive. Bridgwater train station 20 to 30 mins walk. Walking distance to the town centre, supermarkets and public transport. Adults only. Walks from the doorstep, just 10 minutes from junction 23 M5, ideal for, stop overs on way down south, business stays, Hinkley park and ride, Gravity, Glastonbury, Street, Clarke’s village, Shapwick, Ham Wall nature reserves. Bristol and Bath an hour. Lovely 3 acre field up the track to relax in, and collect an egg for breakfast! Pub in village, lots of places within 1 hour, an ideal base, or simply a place to get away and enjoy!

Relax in Myrtle Cottage at The Old Thatch, Pitney

Myrtle cottage is a modern, dedicated living space annexed to our 17th century thatched cottage. Pitney itself is a delightful small village situated above The Levels. There is a traditional pub serving real ales, local ciders and great home cooked food and the superb Pitney Farm shop offering organic meat and veg from the mixed farm & market garden. The area offers lovely walks directly from our garden up into the hills at High Ham or down on to The Levels and the river Carey.

The annexe is situated in the heart of the Somerset Levels , well above any flood land and easily accessed from the M5 and A303. Completely self contained, it is the ideal base for exploring the region. Located in the village of Curry Rivel, you are in walking distance of convenience stores, garage, post office, and pub - serving coffee, meals, ales and cider. The ancient town of Langport is under 2 miles away and Glastonbury, Wells and Taunton within easy reach.
