We enjoyed our stay very well

It is a 160-year-old Japanese traditional architecture. Like a thatched house in Korea, the roof is made of bark and straw, so you can feel the unique architecture and residence of Japan. The interior is also very spacious, and the earthy kitchen gives the unique feel of the indoor and outdoor class. Amenities such as the bathroom are also tidy and nice enough. It was the best place to feel Japanese.

The perfect place to stay near Mt. Aso! So peaceful and quiet, we loved it!

Nice central location. Easy to find, no issue with parking a Nissan Serena in the parking lot. Place is old, a bit dirty, but overall cozy. Bathroom shower water is a bit weak too.

This is a fabulous luxury stay. The space has been outfitted with the highest attention to detail. The experience is marvellous - Victoria can take you on a tour of the temple and give a bit of her husband’s family history. It was a little tricky to find initially (buy putting the temple in as the destination put us on the right track) and Victoria was in constant communication. It is within very close proximity to the Takachiho Gorge and a wealth of natural beauty. If you just want to chill the area is rural and very peaceful. We had the first night to ourselves and then shared with a very respectful group from Taiwan. Can thoroughly recommend.

Beautiful interior design, great amenities and outstanding private onsen, shower and bathtub. Very short walk to train, grocery store and attractions. Highly recommended, professional and friendly host.

Shiki Villa is amazing! Everything you can imagine has been thought of, with such special extra little touches like a handwritten welcome note, face masks, water etc. the projector is awesome to have a movie night in! All the furniture and decorations are of the highest standard. One of the nicest Airbnb places we have ever stayed in. We had the best time exploring beautiful Beppu.
