Sarah responded quickly & hosts a beautiful cabin on corner lot with Tonto National forest & trail head across the street. Peaceful back yard facing the forest while rocking on porch, relaxing in jacuzzi, drinking coffee or glass of wine, fire pit with s'mores provided or listening to the wind blow through the trees & elk walking all around! Pet friendly & safe. Great time & highly recommend

We had an amazing stay at this adorable cabin! It was super clean, well-stocked with everything we needed to cook, and the hot tub was such a relaxing bonus. The host was incredibly friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. Would absolutely stay here again!

The cabin was beautiful and well equipped with everything! When we went up it was snowing which was a bonus. Deer would come out on the mornings and was so beautiful. They are pet friendly and that's another bonus! Lovely place and would stay again

The carefree cabin was awesome to stay in! I agree with all the comments that if you are going to walk around barefooted, you will be cold because of the floors, so wear socks or something but the many heaters that were available warmed the cabin up pretty well. The hot tub was perfect and private which was neat. Heber offers some pretty good local eats; the red onion and ponderosa café was delicious! There’s also a circle K right down the street that’s 24 hours, which is nice to have available. It is an awesome place to stay in!

This is such a fantastic property! It is spotless and well appointed, communication was simple, and there were many small touches that really made the stay feel special. Loved the attention to detail! The large deck is just as special as house. We used the property as a base for a hiking weekend in the area. Also loved watching the elk move through the property each day, whether from the deck or the huge inside window.

This place was great! Perfect for 2 but definitely could accommodate a small family. We loved all the activities including games inside and out. The hot tub worked well and having the towels ready for guests out there was perfect! We stargazed in one of the many seating areas. The kitchen had everything you needed and home a homestead feeling with all the mason jars and wood. The openness of the kitchen was perfect and the couch was so comfy for relaxing. There was plenty of bedding, towels, and extra toiletries. Having Q-tips was a nice added bonus. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. We are considering a return trip with our kids and fur babies. The only consideration I'd recommend is if you have infant or young toddlers there are a few steps, and there is a lot that is accessible within 2 feet of the ground. Lastly, read the book! Great recommendations which I really appreciate.

We stayed one night at The Lazy Bear Cabin and absolutely loved it. The place is quaint and cozy— exactly what we needed for a quick and relaxing getaway. The bed was super comfortable, and the cabin had everything we needed. It's clear the hosts put thought into the little touches. We'd definitely come back for a longer stay next time!

Catherine’s place was wonderful. Clean cozy and quiet. She responded within 5 minutes when we had a question. We look forward to staying there again. We didnt go out to eat but plenty of places to eat out. Catherine is a great hostess.

We enjoyed everything about this place. We looked outside at one point and were watching deer in the yard. We are looking forward to going again!

A few of my siblings and I wanted to get away for a couple of days and came upon this cabin. It was beautiful, the cabin was just as advertised. Clean, peaceful, and had everything we needed. We didn't have to go into town for anything. Caroline was super helpful and even made sure the fire nearby that was going on before our stay wasn't going to affect us. We definitely want to come back and make this cabin an annual siblings trip spot.

Me and my fiancé only stayed one night at this cabin, it had all the essentials and was a great place to crash, would visit again so I can enjoy it more!

We had a great time here. Being able to walk the forest with our dog and kids was amazing. The vintage kitchen was fun, and the beds were comfy. It was exactly what we needed for a fun getaway!

The price was perfect for an AMAZING weekend getaway!!! Had never been to Happy Jack, but highly recommend this place for family trips!!! It was WAY more than we expected and definitely one of our favorite houses we have ever stayed in!

I stayed here for a family trip with my husband, my parents, my brother and his girlfriend (and three dogs total!) it was a great excuse to get the family together. Host’s communication was excellent and we appreciated the flexibility of having our dogs with us for the weekend by doing an extra deposit through air bnb and refunding which was no issue at all. The neighborhood is certainly away from the main town but we came prepped with all our food for the weekend which I’d recommend due to the distance. The neighborhood was private and quiet, we took the dogs on a walk around the homes and waved to all the neighbors. The main room is where we spent the most time and we all really enjoyed the real wood burning fireplace. The kitchen was very well stocked and the bedrooms were comfortable and cozy! Thank you, loved staying here.

The cabin was perfect for my boyfriend and I and our pup! Annie was always very responsive to all my questions. The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed. Its located in a very cute neighborhood that's quiet and peaceful. We felt very at home. There is a food market close by in case you need/forget anything. We went on several hiking trails (water wheel falls trail and tonto national bridge are a must see), plus went to the strawberry schoolhouse which is Arizona's oldest schoolhouse built in 1884. We also visited the honey stand and lavender farm which are only a mile away. We would definitely stay there again!

This was our trial run for staying there a few weeks over the summer. Christian was super accommodating and responsive. House was comfortable and clean and we can’t wait to come back when we have more time (and warmer weather).

The beds were incredibly comfortable—we slept like babies every night. Everything about the cabin made us feel right at home. It was the perfect escape, and we can’t wait to come back!
