Pewsey is situated between Stonehenge and Avebury and we are only 7 minutes walk from the railway station amid a wealth of outstanding countryside. Shops and restaurants all within walking distance in fact a car is not at all essential to your stay. Our little artists hideaway is a unique space full of quirky artworks in a garden of sculptures. It is very comfortable, warm and private and has easy access to all the amenities of the village.
“I loved this quirky studio which is very quiet and private. It was warm and cosy; the bed was comfy and the bed linen top quality; the en suite was sparkling clean, the shower was hot and easy to control; the eggs for breakfast were top of the range, just wonderful! I was there for a short break and found the location ideal. I didn’t want to eat out in the evenings (though there are plenty of recommendations) so was pleased to find that the supermarket was not far away. Pewsey is an interesting place and the countryside around is great for walking. I don’t have a car but the station was just a short walk from the property. So all in all perfect location. Lucy is a lovely host, very friendly and welcoming.”
The Byre is the perfect place to relax and explore the beautiful county of Wiltshire. On one level, it is a newly renovated, self-contained wing of an 18th century thatched cottage. The Byre is convenient for Marlborough, Bath, Salisbury, the K & A Canal, Stonehenge and Avebury. As Pewsey station is only a few minutes walk away, day trips to London (1 hr) and Bath are easy.
“Barbara and her friends have a delightful cottage in Pewsey, 30min from Stonehenge. The furnishings are of a very high standard (the bed linen especially was delightfully comfortable!) and the space is very well decorated. The listing is accurate in all respects; there is parking on site for one car, with many free car parks available within a few minutes walk. The kitchen is small, but perfectly functional, with a little oven and dishwasher. We stayed as three adults over a weekend and had no issues with the shared bathroom. In summary, a lovely little place with lots to see and do nearby. Recommended!”
Large, rambling boutique style country house with everything you need for a fantastic gathering with friends or family. 1hr from London by train. The house offers excellent entertaining facilities centred around the huge kitchen family dining area. The dining table comfortably seats 16 and the separate formal sitting room is the perfect place to cosy up in front of a log fire. The terraced garden is also perfect for summer BBQ's and any little guests will love the sunken trampoline.
“This house was a fantastic venue for myself and 15 friends to celebrate my 40th. It’s so spacious and comfortable, a great escape from London but plenty of local amenities too. The house was superbly equipped with everything you can imagine in the kitchen and numerous hairdryers, linens etc. Sean was helpful and communicative every step of the way, he answered any queries promptly prior to booking and throughout. We used a local caterer Hannah from HMS catering also based in Pewsey. Hannah helped me form a dinner menu and her delicious food was talked about non stop the following day! Would highly recommend.”
