Hotel holiday rentals in Placer County

The breakfast delivered to our door was delicious and unexpected. Kathleen always quickly responded to our emails. The grounds and view are beautiful. If you want to use the hot tub remember to let Kathleen know well ahead of time. Will be returning for sure.

Kana’s place was great! Clean, quiet, and peaceful. We really enjoyed the location, walkable to town. I just didn’t realize it was going to be on the third floor- so I was a little sore walking up after skiing. Comfy bed! I would only suggest including 2 bottles of water for guests when they get there 👍 Thanks Kana!

Ideal location for skiing!! Short walk within Northstar Village to the gondola. Can ski home via the green Village run. Balcony is lovely and more spacious than I imagined. Kitchen is well equipped for basic use. Shower is hot and great water flow. Comfortable beds. Walkable to many restaurants and shops/ great breakfast spot across the street. We would definitely stay here again!!! Perfectly met our needs for a ski weekend for our family of 4.

Was quite happy with this choice to stay. We were able to swim off the dock that is attached to the hotel. Couldn't beat the views and hospitality.

The hotel was close to multiple restaurants and shops. The kitchen was a wonderful amenity and we were able to use the gym at their neighboring hotel.

My husband and I stayed at the Foothills Motel in Auburn for 3 nights. We arrived in the middle of a windstorm. It was easy to get the key and get into the room. It was comfortable. The beds were a little more squishy than I like personally, but everything was clean, functional and cute. They were also great about letting our cat stay with us. The cleaning fee was affordable. She travels everywhere we go and not everybody is so accommodating. Because the floors are solid surface throughout the entire room, it is easy to have an pet and not worry about their behavior. If, you have an older dog or a dog who has a nervous bladder, you will be able to clean up after them easily. There was a nice size balcony with the table and chairs that we did not get to use because of the rain and wind. It looked like a very comfortable spot to have a glass of wine. They called us when someone called the hotel looking for their keys. They had them. This kindness was appreciated.

It was a nice hotel with a breakfast that was amazing. The breakfast buffet alone was worth $20-30 per person at any other restaurant buffet. They checked us into a one queen bed room when our reservation was meant for two queen beds, but that was the only issue that they fixed immediately.

Great location, great communication Can’t wait to stay again!

Thanks so much for your quick response to a last minute request. My husband and his friend were happy to have a nice place to stay after a longer than expected motorcycle adventure.

Very quiet, calm and private location surrounded by nature; Just an 8 minute drive from downtown. Josh was attentive and responsive from the moment our booking was accepted and made sure our stay was what was expected. He was friendly and helpful. Great value for staying in the area; we will sure come back next time we visit.

Carey’s place was perfect. Easy access to chair lift, free board storage, beautiful hotel. Couldn’t ask for anything more. Thank you!

My sister and I stayed here after visiting Apple Hill. The room was perfect, and the bed and pillows were so comfortable. We loved the German restaurant across the street and had a great dinner there. The sun porch on the second floor was a fun place to hang out. We didn’t play pool, but heard some other guests enjoying it later in the evening. We never saw another guest, but everyone seemed respectful and it was quiet at night. The only negative was that the Keurig in our room wouldn’t turn on, but we were able to make coffee in the communal kitchen downstairs. I would absolutely stay here again. Love the quirky decor and the homey feel.

Robert’s place was cozy, clean, and ideally located at the base of Palisades. Had a great time and the size of the place exceeded expectations.
