Hale 'Olu

GraceRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Lovely home! I was expecting just a room in a house like the description but the space has its own entryway, bathroom, and dining area so it feels like a separate studio apartment. It was beautiful and clean. Would recommend to those wanting to stay close to Volcano National Park!

Ocean View Farm Cabin at Kulaniapia Falls

NicoleRating, 5 stars10 months ago
Our stay at Kulaniapia Farm exceeded expectations, the cabin especially. I was expecting a pretty bare bones cabin thanks to both the pictures and description, but the cabins are beautifully made, with comfortable linens and a stunning view of the farm, down to the ocean. We spent an entire day exploring the farm and sharing the space with the community members during a monsoon-like rainy day. We didn’t get to enjoy the waterfall due to the weather, but our experience getting to immerse ourselves in the community was even better. I will say the Airbnb listing doesn’t do a great job of explaining the property—you’ll be staying on a working farm where there are several employees doing a work to live program. The shared living space is quite literally their home, which may feel awkward for some (the majority of those we met were lovely humans). There are also cats living in the shared barn space, which may be an issue for those with allergies.

Pillows in Paradise, "Lanikai" Private Studio

KatieRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We loved staying here, and would definitely stay again. For 2 adults it was the perfect size and had everything we needed. Barbara and Lionel were welcoming, and had fresh pineapple and flowers ready for us when we arrived. Check-in and check-out was straightforward and easy, and the location was great. Would definitely recommend!

The Megan Love in Hawaii House

LauraRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Probably our favorite AirBNB ever. It felt like we were visiting friends. The house is beautiful and spotless, very comfortable. All the beach gear available to borrow and great local recommendations. Location is beautiful, quiet, private, but close to everything. We loved Megan and her family so much and will stay here on our next trip to Kona!

Enjoyed our stay with Maïre & Jean. A big thank you to Maïre for sharing the love of the ocean, nature and Polynesian cultural and artistic activities. We will keep very good memories of his breakfasts based on fruit from the garden and homemade cookies. Thank you so much for your availability, kindness and beautiful moments of sharing. We can only recommend a stay at Maïre & Jean's and wish them happiness and success in their future projects.

Banana Patch Cottage : A Tiny Rainforest Gem!

AmyRating, 5 stars1 month ago
I have been profoundly moved by Akiko, her land and home, and her community in beautiful Wailea. Akiko herself is precious beyond measure, a true treasure that I’m grateful to have met in this lifetime. Come ready to receive remarkable warmth, joy, connection, loving presence, solitude, peace, and deep inspiration. Not only from Akiko, but from all of the wonderful locals and guests who come through. The Banana Cottage itself is lovely, surrounded by trees, a stunning refuge from which to work and sleep, and take peaceful walks down Old Mamalahoa Highway, through the rainforest and to the sea. And the land is so alive, has been so lovingly tended to — coqui frogs, birds, geckos, kitties, chickens all around, the orchard, the sun, the rain, and, and, and. I leave with a heart brimming full of wonder, hope, and light. If I would be so lucky to return to the Big Island one day, without question, Akiko’s place is where I will go, not just as a place to stay, but as my reason to return.

Faith Accommodation at Misiletifatu Complex

SaupoRating, 5 stars12 months ago
It was really helpful and lovely family. Always ask if we need help etc with anything. Aircorn and rooms was great. Only thing that needs to update is the showers, the water is not running fast enough, and couldn't figure it out if there's any hot water. I hate the stairs 🙆‍♀️but every thing else was fine.

Hilo Bay Oceanfront B&B (Suite #1) Premier King

CoreyRating, 5 stars33 months ago
This wonderful B&B has it all - great location, great ocean view, great food, and great amenities! Just a two minute drive from the center of Hilo, you could walk there but there’s also a convenient and free public parking lot that’s a straight shot from the B&B. Hilo makes such a great base location for exploring Volcanoes National Park and the Hamakua Coast. We’re so glad we chose to spend multiple nights at this B&B. The ocean is literally a yard from the edge of the B&B. With open windows you can enjoy their relaxing sounds all night long. We had the unique opportunity to stay in two different rooms. Both were comfortable, with great mattresses, plenty of pillows, and a day bed in a sitting area. The bathroom is separated from the bedroom by a sliding barn door. Cheryl’s breakfasts are almost worth the price of the stay alone. We loved her signature fruit arrangement, and were able to try all three menu choices. My favorite was the rainbow French toast; Cheryl also provides a wide variety of syrups and sides to make sure you never leave hungry. She’s also very flexible with what time you eat in the morning - we saw her serving other couples as early as 6:30 and as late as 9. What really differentiates the experience at her B&B are the small touches she lets you borrow for free - ice packs for your cooler, umbrellas (a must have on this rainy side of the island), beach equipment, binoculars, even flashlights. Plus free snacks and drinks galore, which were perfect for a day of hiking or drive touring. With just a few rooms, Cheryl maintains a quiet atmosphere. If you’re looking for a peaceful place to come back to after tropical adventures, look no further. This is a tremendous place to stay in Hilo.

Mulifanua Ferry & Faleolo Airport- Salty Lodge B&B

SteryRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Amazing cute little stay, nice and close to the airport ..although the roads can be bumpy getting to and from skip the big hotels and get a nice view and clean stay, amazing aircon and clean space to move around with balcony for the ocean front. Ladies at reception are friendly casual confusion with convos but safe space, the security is awesome too you feel safe to come and go as you please quietly. Some recommendations to have extra sheets as blankets in the rooms as I tend to sleep without aircon and it does get hot the duvet and bed covers (black) very thick and hot for the warm weather. Clean bathroom and kitchen space! Would recommend again to family and friends and would stay again. I did get washing done which took a little longer, slightly overpriced and was not dry however that does not change my mind about the place. The little lady bringing breakfast and cleaning did amazing around aswell. Oh and if you can deffs take a dip on the water..amazing careful of the rocks

Ka'u Sea View Studio

Ninah & AnnabelRating, 5 stars1 week ago
This is one of the nicest Airbnb apartments we've ever stayed in and was exactly what was described and what we wanted. Lou and Kami were respectful to our privacy but available and friendly if we wanted to engage with them or had questions. They provided everything in the listing plus much more, including beach chairs, towels, and bags, games, local guides, laundry supplies, and the listed items, all of which we took advantage of, i.e., BBQ, Bluetooth speaker, gas fireplace on patio, smart TV, and good parking. The covered, well-appointed lanai was a special treat where we spent most of our time when not touring about, including during a big rainstorm. Their home and rental studio are in a very nice, walkable golf course neighborhood and easy driving distance to many of the Big Island's south end attractions, such as, South Point, Green Sands Beach, the Black Sands Beach, and the Volcanoes National Park, both the main one and the closer Kahuku Unit. We highly recommend!

Truly a magical place. I’m so grateful to have found this radiant gem amongst the beauty of Hawaii. The sunrise on the porch was worth a hundred pictures. Words can’t describe the joy and peace of this view. Thank you did being the hostest with the mostest!
