Away from the tourist crowds but also within easy access to hotspots and amenities. There are attractions in the local area for all ages and interests.

Farrier's House near Ullswater

Farrier's house is a renovated barn conversion that was previously a farm shop. The house is located in the village of Stainton which is located 5 mins from the edge of the Lake District. It is only 5 minutes from Penrith, 10 minutes from Ullswater and 20 minutes from Keswick. Dogs are more than welcome! Garden Flat, Ullswater: Fabulous views and reviews

Stunning views of Ullswater... Very special... Perfect... Well equipped... Spotless and clean... Fantastic host... No picture of our panoramic view can really do justice to The Garden Flat. But we hope those words from our most recent reviews do. The flat is in an elevated 19th century former hunting lodge. The Ullswater Way walking route is at the end of the drive. Down the hill is the Brackenrigg Inn, with its own microbrewery, and Another Place, with lake swimming and spa facilities.

It is a totally private annex next to our main farmhouse in the picturesque village of Bampton Grange in the Lake District. It is perfect for couples and single travellers looking to explore the Lake District - being only 3 miles from Lake Ullswater you'll find plenty of things to see and do.
