Cabin holiday rentals in Portugal

We stayed for eight weeks over winter. The photos had accurately depicted the bungalow but hadn't expressed it's homely feel once inside. This was a home not a ' holiday let'. The owner had even put up a Christmas tree because we arrived on Dec 22nd. It was comfortable and well insulated for winter evenings. For warmer nights though the garden will be beautiful. There is plenty of outside seating and lovely garden lightening. The kitchen was well equipped and it would be possible to cook any style of cooking. There was always hot water from roof panels and the shower was modern and efficient. Perhaps, as with any home appliances, one or two may need replacing later this year but everything required was there. This property is in the countryside. The neighbouring properties have guard dogs which unfortunately do bark at the wild animals. We live in the countryside but this noise took us a while to get used to. A car is essential but the property is surrounded by beautiful country walks.

It was a super quiet stay. It is a perfect place to disconnect. Everything was perfect and very neat. The house is beautiful and is decorated just like the environment. Nature surrounds us. The materials of the house are pure and in symbiosis with nature. Host Cheila is a sweetheart. We love everything: the house, the jacuzzi, the horses, the birds. Cheila was super friendly and proactive with our Booking. I recommend it without hesitation. Thank you ❤️

A nosa estancia foi excelente. O aloxamento era moi cómodo, limpo e completamente equipado, polo que nos sentimos como na casa dende o primeiro momento. A cama era moi confortable e descansamos moi ben todas as noites. A ubicación era ideal, nunha zona tranquila perfecta para desconectar. Sen dúbida, un dos grandes atractivos foi a piscina: ampla, limpa e perfecta para refrescarse e relaxarse ao sol. A anfitriona foi moi atenta e amable, sempre dispoñible para calquera dúbida. Sen ningunha dúbida, repetiríamos!

Great location and very private and peaceful. Slightly hard to find with the map. No issues once I found the place. Would recommend for future stays.

The beautiful and pure place in the forest, for those who like to contemplate nature. We also love the pool. The hostess was very attentive. Thanks Manuela for seeing us again!

We were unable to access the house due to the blackout but Dora had us at all times informed. Airbnb told us other accommodations but the phone line is gone and we had to search in a traditional way. Both the hostess and Airbnb behaved very well and kindly attended to us. Airbnb returned the money and a compensation, no problem.

We stayed in the wooden house, which was very well equipped. The space is ideal for two people. The surroundings are super relaxing and very green. Brenda is a very kind host and has given us lots of tips for places to visit. The only thing less good was that we would go with little time and not enjoy the space and the environment anymore:) We would definitely like to come!!! We wish Brenda and her family every success.

A true gem. The casita, perched atop a small mountain, offers 360-degree views, including a stunning ocean vista. Immersed in nature and fresh air, the peace is profound. Well-maintained walking trails wind through the property with frog ponds and bird-filled trees. The casita was spotless, thoughtfully appointed, and the bed was comfy with soft, quality linens. Every detail made it feel like a home away from home. One of the true joys was spending time with the donkeys each morning and evening—gentle, sweet companions that added to the charm. The hosts are simply wonderful. Warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, they made me feel like family. Their care and hospitality elevated my stay beyond just a getaway—it was an experience of connection, relaxation, and renewal. If you are looking for beauty, tranquility, and heartfelt hospitality, this is the perfect retreat. I am looking forward to my return!

This place is a delight! I loved how homey it felt. The design was wonderful, and with all the windows it really let nature in. I came without a car, which was a mistake! Definitely have your own wheels to get around as it's not really walkable. Everything was comfortable and clean. Wonderful stay!

An absolute treasure of a place. The chalet is amazing in a gorgeous setting and has absolutely everything that you need. It is exactly as described- even more beautiful when you see it with your own eyes. The outdoor area was perfect for our children to roam about! Jose and Ana are the kindest and most attentive hosts. On the first day we had an issue with the cold and Jose and Ana came all the way out to us with new heaters (and it was Jose’s BIRTHDAY). They are such lovely people. I can only wholeheartedly recommend a stay at the chalet!

Very good experience with the couple Hans and Sunamita. We were my friends, my little dog and I and they welcomed us very well. Very attentive to everything and above all very attentive to messages, they responded instantly. We were provided with all the information we needed as well as more sheets and also a hairdryer. As for the cabin it is very clean and above all very quiet in the middle of nature. If you need to go to a quiet place to relax, don't hesitate :) On the other hand, we also had access to the pool that is 50meters away from the cabin. In short, I would repeat without fail. What a blissful place. Away from the crowds and close to a beautiful coast. And if you want to meet some more people, Lisbon, Ericeira or Mafra is not far away. We felt very welcome at Filipe's place. Recommended.

We spent some great days in the chalet, the place is beautiful and Vitor is a very attentive host, who responds very nimbly to any eventuality. I highly recommend it.

We had a great time at Celsio’s. This place is very special: a beautiful location on the beach, clean and superbly equipped. We felt right at home! We'll definitely be back!

Great stay near Castêlo Branco in one of the most quiet spaces I ever was in! If you love to just relax and hear the nature, it’s the perfect spot!

A magical place, a breathtaking view, we loved our stay. A unique experience!!! The cabin is very well-equipped and comfortable. Sophie was kind enough to provide us with baby equipment that contributed to the quality of our stay. We had a breakdown with our rental car,Sophie was very helpful, very responsive, a huge thank you to her. We highly recommend!!!!!!!

Rafael's cabin was perfect as a little retreat while I explored the area and did a bit of remote work. internet was fast, and the supermarkets are a very quick drive away. It was clean and nicely appointed, though the stairs to the bed are steep - I wouldn't recommend it for older visitors. For me on my own, or for a young couple however, it was perfect.

Beautiful, welcoming and caring space. Great for a few days of quiet. Pena that time has not allowed to take advantage of the pool, but the space is quite inviting. In addition to the horses, we left in love with the little neighboring gatito that often appeared for us to greet 🥰

This atypical place is very well designed and functional. Maria is welcoming, caring, patient and adapts very well to foreigners like us who only know how to speak French:)). This experience was successful even in the rain...

Absolutely lovely stay at David’s property. The cabin feels tucked away and private, with its own entrance and driveway. The stream next to the house was lovely as well. David was communicative and flexible. Would absolutely stay here again!

I would highly recommend staying at Mika’s place. It was exactly as described. Peaceful and away from crowds, nice and private, beautifully decorated. Perfect setting to relax in. Mika was friendly and always responded to messages quickly and provided a great recommendation for breakfast before we left.

It exceeded my expectations. The cottage is exactly as described and the outside area is much better in person. Mariana and Daniel are super attentive and proactive. They quickly helped me close some gaps in the fence that my smaller dog could get through. They recommend great restaurants and what to explore in the vicinity. I really felt at home. I hope to return more often. Thank you:)

We chose this place for a little escape by the end of our busy season and to celebrate a birthday. We wanted a hut, peace and nature. We got it here. The hut served our purposes for the short stay with all the amenities you need, including heating. The views were breathtaking and the location is out of this world. During the day (a week day) one could only hear birds and the nighttime is one of the most peaceful you can get. Of the sky is clear, it's perfect to watch shooting stars. Would be back at anytime for a longer term.
