“This is the BEST Airbnb I've ever booked. Not only was the place exceptional, Nicole - the host - went above and beyond to ensure that my stay in Senegal was memorable. She succeeded. So much so that I plan to return soon. I've never had this much interaction and care taken of me, so it was extremely refreshing to experience. I highly recommend Nicole's place for anyone who loves the ocean as much as me. It's pearched right on the Water's edge, giving a wonderful southing sound for sleep at night. There are also many comfy spots to enjoy the natural breeze and view on the outside. Nicole is also well travelled and has lived in Senegal for numerous years, so she is able to share unique insights that add great value to the overall experience. Thank you very much for taken such good care of me Nicole...you are a gem!!”
Located 200 m from the pink lake and 2 km from the ocean, you will be in a unique setting in the middle of an orchard in the shadow of a beautiful baobab estimated at 800 years of age. The apartment has a bathroom with hot water and walk-in shower, a kitchen equipped with crockery, fridge, gas stove. The room is equipped with a fan, a bed 160 x 200, air conditioned with supplement.
“EXCEPTIONAL STAY! Intuitively I chose Franck's place, based entirely on the fact that he speaks English and has given a poetic name to his property. In real life the baobab tree looks a thousand times better than on the photos. All the birds, the cockerel and the henhouse, the trees and the plants and especially the dogs from the first morning spent on the property created in our minds the PERFECT OASIS in the hustle and bustle of the Pink Lake and Niague village. What can I say that other reviewers haven't already mentioned? Everything true and more. It seems no one mentioned excellent mattress :) The local tips, all the help and positivity, a walk with Cathy and the dogs to the beach... To sum up - this was an example of an outstanding hospitality. A wholehearted thank you to Franck and Cathy, Yam, Serigne (our driver and guide), a gardener and a special hug for a baby dog Zen :)”
The k'pitaine is a large semi open carbet over the ocean. Very cozy, it makes you want to spend time, sleep or take a nap as you see fit, to have a drink while contemplating the sea. It is a large room in an improved style of American Indian homes. South America, with mixed furniture (beds, tables, but also hammocks).
“Franck and Abibatou's place is a wonder in Senegal. The room is fantastic, with a beautiful view. It was natural living in its finest. The only hiccup was having the first night in a different room due to double booking. The second room was very hot and one of our team had many mosquito bites that night too However, this room was fantastic, and was one of our best ever experiences. The village is calm with a lot of restaurants and shops, the beach is clean and the people lovely. Moreover, Franck and Abi were very helpful whenever we needed something despite having a lot of things to do”
