My holiday home in Wendland

This old barn has been transformed into an architectural experience through modern expansion. Over 250 square meters, two living areas, three enclosed bedrooms and two bathrooms, one with a bathtub. There is also a sauna. Suitable for up to two families or three couples. The location: village edge overlooking the fields, the circular village of Trabuhn in beautiful Wendland. In the village there is a riding stable with flexible riding opportunities for guests, including children. Swimming opportunities in Arendsee and Gartow.

Vacation home

Welcome to our stylish holiday apartment – ideal for families, groups and friends. Completed in 2022, the accommodation offers modern living comfort over approx. 170 m². You can expect a spacious, open-plan living and dining area with a fully equipped kitchen, four separate bedrooms, two bathrooms and a sofa bed for two more guests. Space for up to 10 people. The highlight is the bright living area with high ceilings, open timber-framed walls and glazed Tennentor overlooking the village square.

Time out in the forest with an oven and sauna!

In the middle of the forest, on a clearing, 3 km from the beautiful town of Gartow, lies our special retreat. If you are looking for peace and quiet in nature and value simplicity and goodness, this is the place. The old half-timbered building, a former stable, was renovated with high quality and sustainably with natural materials. Clay plaster on the walls and the wood-burning stove guarantee an excellent indoor climate, and the walk to the wood-fired sauna promises absolute relaxation!

Kastanien Cottage

Our four one-room apartments Kastanie, Ahorn, Linde and Birke combine the charm of the historic Herbsthausen with modern ease. All apartments are absolutely different and lovingly modernized by us. The chestnut tree can accommodate two to four people. The apartments are part of "Herbsthausen", a cultural project in beautiful Gartow. We are renovating a historic sawmill into a future location for art, industrial culture, living, working, international exchange and recreation.

Vacation home in Blütlingen

The spacious farmhouse, renovated in 2024, is in a quiet location and can accommodate up to 6 people. All rooms are located on the ground floor and are barrier-free. From the kitchen you have direct access to the south-facing terrace, which offers sufficient privacy. The large property is shared with the hostess. The large garden with seating areas and the pool (depending on the weather) are available. The place offers variety for a relaxing vacation.

Unfortunately, our farm is not suitable for excessive parties. Our house was built around 1850. The house & barn of the listed 3-sided courtyard are built in oak half-timbering. There are 10 wedding linden trees around the house. In November, when the lime trees are pruned, the house can be seen in all its splendor. From May onwards, it slowly disappears behind shady foliage, and so remains wonderfully cool throughout the summer... 

Stylish and bright apartment in the Wendland

The vacation rental is located on the upper floor of a beautiful listed half-timbered house from 1840 in a small village. It is spacious and bright and offers beautiful views of the large surrounding garden. We have lovingly furnished the apartment with partly antique furniture and contemporary art on the walls. In the garden, there is a private area for our guests on a meadow under apple trees to sit and relax.

The 200 sqm, newly renovated, listed "Fohlenstall" invites you with its idyllic location - in the middle of the Wendland near the Elbe Valley biosphere reserve. Lovingly furnished with a mix of modern design and antiques, the light-flooded house with its 10,000 m² garden with old trees is THE retreat for families, groups of friends, "workations," yoga retreats and all those who love wide-open nature.

Relax on the small pony farm

Enjoy a great time on our private farm with our horses/ponies. There are two bedrooms, a large living room with dining table, a small but well-equipped kitchen and a bathroom with bathtub. From the terrace you have a beautiful view over the horse pasture and enjoy the sunset. I'm happy to give you tips on things to do in our beautiful Wendland. I look forward to welcoming you!

Bungalow on the edge of the field with sauna in Wendland

Martin Papke Impro Comedy Relax in this peaceful accommodation located right on the edge of the field. In this lovingly, individually furnished bungalow, 2-4 people can enjoy quiet days in the middle of the Wendland, in the middle of nature. The building is located on a dirt road and invites you to take bike rides and walks.

Friendly apartment in quiet location

Located in a small village in the Elbtalaue Biosphere Reserve, not far from the Elbe bike hiking trail near Dömitz with cafes, restaurants and shopping. A pretty lake is about 1km. The area is rural and quiet. This also means romantically mowing cows and some insects (mosquito net above the bed is available).
