“Our 6 day stay at the Lake House was the crowning glory to our three week trip around Kerala. We visited the area in 2018 and almost booked it then but ended up at Malobar Escapes Purity Resort two miles down the lake. We loved it there but price rises at the resort made the Lake House a better choice this time round. Our booking and communications were excellently handled by AirBnB and Sangeetha. The final stages were dealt with by Prakash, the house manager, on whatsapp. I can't add to the previous excellent comments about the house. It is stylish and comfortable. The only things missing for us were sunbeds or comfy rattan chairs on the terrace where most of the visual action occured overlooking the lake. A swimming pool would have been the icing on the cake but the house was amazing enough without me redesigning it! Our room was very comfortable with air con that enabled us to retreat during the hottest part of the day - which was up to 96 Fahrenheit. Prakash and Kavitha took great care of us and the food was excellent. Prakash sorted out beer and wine along with the usual lake excursions. We can only mark the house and experience as 10/10 and would definitely revisit if we come again. Thank you Sangeetha, Prakash and Kavitha for a wonderful stay.”

“We really loved to stay in this beautiful place! The house itself is really cute and the family was super kind to us! Also, Anju made us dinner every night and it was very delicious! We liked to stay in the small village, where all the people were very friendly. If there would'nt have been other guests coming we would have liked to stay longer :) Thanks you Pappachan, Anju, Teena and the rest of the family for your hospitality and kindness!”

“Wow! What a fantastic experience we had for our 3 days at Praveens family house which is set on the waterfront of a smaller canal just off the main canal with a shop close by. Our driver spoke to Praveen to find the location of the bus stop (by the water) where were were met by Pathan, Praveens father in a boat to take us for the 10 minute journey to their house. We met Sakunthala, his mother, in the evenings as she works as a teacher. She dressed me in a sari which was fun. Pathan fed us 3 home cooked meals a day with snacks and provided bottled water. We are vegetarian and really enjoyed all the different dishes he prepared. We were even allowed to watch a meal being cooked. Pathan was a chef on a house boat for 13 years so he is certainly experienced! He used bottled water for preparation and filtered water for cooking. The rooms are air-conditioned and there are fans for the balcony to help cool. The balcony is large with seating and dining table and you can see the boats passing by. Pathan took us on a walk to the paddy fields. A boat was arranged for a 4 hour tour of the canals which included an island village walk where we were able to see a church service. One bedroom has duel aspect of paddy fields with evening sunset. We were looked after well and Praveen was keen to make sure we were happy with everything. We enjoyed our stay very much.”
