In the nearby area you can take mountain hikes, visit the great swimming beach as well as sand volleyball- and tennis court at Hjellvik, 2 km away. A 14 foot plastic boat from 2021 with new 6 hp located in the jetty 400 meters from the house is included in the rent. There are also 2 bikes that are located in the basement. Osterøy is a great starting point for nice mountain hikes. Tirevollfjellet at 303 meters above sea level, is a 1 hour walk from the door.

From the apartment you have a sea view of the beautiful Osterfjorden, and can enjoy the sunset from a cozy garden right outside the entrance. Parts of the apartment are brand new (June 25) and appear both practical and homey. It is a short walking distance to mountain walks, swimming beach and sports facilities. In front of the house is Galleri Solbakkestova with its associated sculpture garden which is always open to the public. Around the house graze goats, and you have a view of some free-range chickens, and some alpacas on the other side of the road. The house has terraces on both sides, where it is lovely to sit and take in the surroundings and feel the tranquility. There are also great hiking trails close by.
