Holiday rentals in Rangárþing eystra

We loved staying at the lodge, it had great views and was very peaceful. The lodge itself was very clean and had everything you needed for a week. We got stuck on the driveway from heavy snow on the day we were supposed to fly home, the host came straight out and helped us get our car free. We couldn't have asked for more. We'll definitely be visiting again!

Gorgeous cabin! The living space is separated from the sleeping space by the foyer--we fit 7 people here, and it was nice to be able to all hang out in the living area together, and then some of us to be able to stay up later without bothering the others. The two bathrooms were great as well, and laundry mid week on our trip was a treat we didn't expect!

The cottage is definitely “little”, and the bedroom is possibly the smallest I’ve ever slept in. However, the use of space is very smart and efficient, and personal touches and care are evident everywhere. The agricultural setting is lovely, and several times we were amused to find our departure slowed by a herd of cattle being driven down our access road to another pasture. The host, Heidar, was extremely responsive and attentive, particularly tipping us that the Northern Lights might be seen the last night…and we stayed up to see a spectacular display!

The place was clean and quiet. Not having light surrounding so is a perfect place to see aurora if it isn’t too cloudy. Kitchen is not huge but have everything u need.

What a wonderful place to stay and an even more wonderful host. Whe went outside to look for northern lights a couple times without luck and when we were getting ready for bed I received a message from our host saying if we were still awake the aurora was active. And sure enough it was! Made our day!

We spent 7 amazing days at this lovely cottage in a completely remote area next to a horse farm. Everything was perfect and felt like home from the very beginning. The views from the cottage are so beautiful and we were greeted by very cute horses every morning. The cottage is not very far from some really beautiful waterfalls. Out of 7 nights we were blessed to see some beautiful northern lights right from the porch of the house on 4 nights. I loved how minimalistic yet spacious the house was. All beds were very comfortable and everything was clean. Kitchen is also very well equipped and made cooking very easy. Sigurborg is a very friendly and responsive host. I will remember the stay in this house for as long as I live. A really unique experience, can only recommend🩷

Amazing location and view, highly recommended!

Stina's cabin was perfect for what we were looking for. It was a great base for exploring the south coast of Iceland. Sveinn communicated well and was very accommodating. It was warm and cozy in winter, and we were able to see the auroras on our last night.
