Bronwyn met us and walked us to our accommodation which was bright , clean & welcoming. As Bronwyn stated it’s rural but has a beautiful setting. Thank you. 10/10

We had a lovely stay - the kitchen and common room were really nice. Loved seeing the animals, and the beds were super comfy.

We loved staying at Carly’s place. Communication was excellent and very helpful with the unexpected road closure. Very cosy house with everything you need. Excellent location to explore the Tongariro park. Will definitely come back!

Sharon’s place was very cosy, spacious, comfortable and clean. The view and surroundings were beautiful! I will not hesitate to stay here again.

Wonderful wee railway cottage. Kids cracked up/crapped their pants when the trains roared past in the night but it became part of their norm in no time. Great wee cottage with everything we needed and close to town. Perfect for going up the mountain and super helpful host! Thank you.

Second time staying here and was as good as we remembered. Love the fireplace! Great spot as about 45 minutes from the snow.

Ross looked after us so well, made it easy for us to check in and even put the heat pump on to warm the house for us - it was a super chilly day! The location is perfect and the cost very reasonable. Looking forward to coming back again Anne definitely recommended 👌

We had such a great stay at Rawhiti Cottage! The place is super cosy and full of character. The setup was perfect for our group of 4. The surroundings were stunning, especially with the deer right outside. Farm walks and river access made it feel extra special. Highly recommend if you’re after a peaceful, unique spot to relax. Would definitely come back!

One of the highlights was the beautiful walk nearby, which offered breathtaking views that made every morning feel magical. Whether enjoying a cup of coffee outside or taking in the scenery during a stroll, the surroundings were absolutely stunning. The home itself was spotless, comfortable, and well-equipped, making my stay truly enjoyable. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing and scenic getaway!

Dawn is a super star host. The space was beautiful, and every detail was thoughful. My daughter was very eager to look around and Dawn was so sweet and took her on a tour. Not one complaint could be made, although my daughter would say there was, she only wished we were staying longer! Thanks again!

My family & I really enjoyed our time in Hunterville. A beautiful & secluded spot for some R&R. Great space for our boys to explore & ride their bikes. If you want slightly off the grid & a farm life experience then I highly recommend it.

We couldn’t have been made more welcome. Steve and Annette are delightful, having lived in the area for most of their lives they were knowledgeable and able to answer all of our questions covering the location, history and politics of the area. The home was exactly as pictured and described. It was around twelve minutes drive from town, which should be considered for dinner options but the kitchen was well set up for self catering, and breakfast provided with a range of cereals, breads and refreshments. The attention to detail was remarkable, and the home was spotless, we could not recommend them highly enough. And their little dog Ruby was a perfectly behaved and wonderful welcoming committee.

We had an amazing stay at this cozy cabin. The location is perfect – right next to a beautiful stream that made the whole place feel so peaceful. Waking up to the sound of the water was just incredible. The cabin had everything we needed and was super comfortable. It was the perfect spot to unwind and relax. The host was great and made sure everything was sorted. I’d definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for a peaceful getaway. Can’t wait to come back!

We had a lovely stay at this property. We had 4 adults and 2 kids staying and the house was a great size for us all. The kids room was great and had a large selection of dvds and games. The spa pool was a nice addition as well as the fireplace for those cold days/nights. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking too. We would definitely stay again, we enjoyed our time there ☺️

Meet the Indiana Jones of Ashley Clinton! Such a lovely weekend spent over Easter. Greeted by wonderful hosts and their pet dog Xena. Welcomed with hot cross buns and Easter eggs. Freshly baked loafs in the morning were a delight. Museum and the korero by Lex was an amazing experience, and a highlight to the stay. It’s truly more than what one can bargain for. We were really impressed with their collection of taxidermy and weaponry over different centuries. I’m sure if we had more time with the hosts, we would be thrilled to just sit down next to a fire and listen to all their adventures.

Stunning view of Mount Ruapehu as you drive to Ohakune! Great region to explore or rest for the night! Kate has a guestbook with everything you need to know about her place, recommendations of where to eat, and what to explore in the area. We needed a night’s rest before driving to Auckland all the way from Wellington, and I’m glad we chose her place. 5 stars!

My husband and I and our visitors from Japan loved the beautiful, peaceful setting with the animals grazing around, as well as the character of the period Cottage, very comfortable, well furnished and stocked. Andrew could not have been a more responsive, helpful host! We walked to and from town in the evening, and on the River Trail in the morning - beautiful old, tall trees, a well-formed track, all quite flat. Altogether very highly recommended!

It was such a pleasure to spend time with Jac and his family and also all the animal. That stay was definitely the best experience of our Trip. We would have liked to stay for longer, but we would love to come back next time we travel through New Zealand. Thank you so much for welcoming us that warmly. We enjoyed to feed and pet the animals and next time we’ll be more prepared for another round of table tennis :)
