“The Hayloft is a lovely flat - warm, comfortable, and well equipped. The shower is fast and can be set pretty hot, and the sofas are very comfortable, both of which factors are very welcome after a day's hiking. There's a key-safe for the door key so, when I turned up late, I could let myself in without having to bother anybody. Julie and her partner are excelent hosts: friendly, helpful, and quick on communications. Definitely a good place to stay!”

“Great value and amazing location for exploring the Lake District. We were so impressed with the camping pod, and the facilities around it. The bird sanctuary was an excellent highlight along with the very clean and well heated toilet / shower block. One of the be at showers I’ve ever had, very hot with great pressure. Will be coming back again!”
The cottage is over 150 years old with walls 2 foot thick but has a very modern walk-in shower room and up to date kitchen. It is spacious, warm and homely - a veritable home away from home. All the basics that you may need are provided, including kitchen equipment, bedding, towels, soap, heating, lighting and power. There is a patio garden area to the rear of the cottage and off-street parking is available to the front.
“Sue’s place is definitely the definition of home away from home! It was comfortable, spacious, great for relaxation and also conveniently located for day trips all over the Lake District. I notice how many of her guests have returned many times. I can certainly understand why.”
