1 hour from Tromsø is beautiful Rekvik. Here you are a neighbor to majestic Skamtinden, Storstolpan and a short trip to Brosmortinden. In front is Sessøya. The northern lights are beautiful here - there are many natural pearls! Rekvik is a small village with only 2 permanent residents. Must have a car. No mobile coverage but in the house there is Wi-Fi so it is perfectly possible to be able to call as long as you are inside. Rekvik also has a beautiful older school, over 100 years old. No grocery stores here, the nearest is Eide Handel about 45 min drive. No smoking indoors

Spot reindeer, otters, moose, or even whales, and watch the Northern Lights from the porch. Steps away, enjoy a panoramic sauna by the water. A traditional BBQ hut is available as an optional rental. This is our beloved home, and many guests tell us they fall in love with it too. Few places blend comfort and wilderness like this. We never tire of it—and hope you will, too.

Situated between the sea and the forest and with the northern light as only light in the dark season this might be the perfect place to enjoy North of Norway. It is renovated to a modern standard in 2018, with focus on maintaining the heart and soul of the old building.

There is a fold out sleeping couch in the living room. All facilites, towels to firewood are included! A car is needed to get to grøtfjord. The hosts live in a different section of the house.
