“This is a wonderfull cosy and very authententic Norwegian, old house. The view out of the kitchen en living windows is amazing (the fjord), there were reindeer walking in the garden, and we saw the Northern lights, this was very spectacular despite the full moon and the street lights nearby.”
Have you ever stayed in a turf house before or an Arctic Dome? Now you have the opportunity. This house is built on an old sea-Sami tradition. Inside you will find modern comfort and a quiet atmosphere. The Arctic Dome is placed on top of the hill about 150 meters from the turf house. You can use the dome as northern lights observatory or sleep there. The dome has floor heating, a king-size bed, woodstove and a gas toilet room right outside. The Arctic Dome is included in your stay.
“Lovely place, well maintained and clean. Unique places to stay with an Artic dome from where you are able to see the northern lights from your bed. Cosy turf houses with comfortable beds. As soon as you enter I felt like I was at home. Our host Frank made sure we where comfortable and prepared the stove and Sauna for us. When there was heavy snow fall Frank ensured the house was accessable and arranged that the driveway was cleared from snow. I would love to come back one day to enjoy the beautiful fjords of Norway.”
“Nice and clean place, close to the airport in Lakselv. Did not meet the host himself, but got good descriptions on how to find and get in. Very good bed to sleep in. Should the trip go to Lakselv, I would love to stay there again.”
