This quaint historic little cottage is situated in the grounds of a country house near to the cycling and walking paradise of the River Wye &, Elan Valley and it is right next door to the famous Red Kites. It is all on one floor with a comfy double bedroom, shower room and fully fitted kitchen/diner with a lounge area. There is a TV, DVD and free WiFi. The town is just a short walk away with shops, pubs and leisure centre and there is plenty of private free parking.
“Janes place was perfect for what we needed. A quiet getaway for just the two of us. Fantastic for taking in the majestic sight of all the Red Kites, and within close driving range of the Elan Valley. Jane was easy to communicate with and the cottage was lovely and tidy. Would highly recommend it to anyone. We want to come back and explore more.”
Nestled along the Wye Valley and Cambrian mountain Gwardolau cottage is an 1850's extension to the main Gwardolau house, formerly the servants quarters, it is set down a quiet country lane, in a beautiful rural location along the upper Wye Valley, 1.5 miles from the centre of Rhayader and overlooking the surrounding countryside.
“Just what we hoped for for our 'early' Christmas weekend. The welcome by owner Karl was very informative and useful and most appreciated. The property was great and the open fireplace with log burner made it special with the Christmas tree beside it. Just a short drive from the Elan dams or town too. Highly recommend a stay here.”
Delfryn cottage in Church Street is a lovely quiet street close to the town centre with access to the parks and river Wye around the corner. You’ll love my place because although it is an old cottage it has been newly refurbished, offering modern amenities whilst keeping its original cosiness and charm. Delfryn Cottage would suit couples, families (with kids), and furry friends (pets) and of course outbound groups.
“Paul’s place is perfect for a break in the Welsh country side. A great balance of being in an ideal place for local amenities (good pubs, shops, bakeries all a very short walk away), but far enough away from the crowds to enjoy a peaceful retreat. There are tons of great walks nearby. The place itself is deceptively spacious. Our party was 4 adults, a toddler and a dog and there was ample space for us all. The garden is enclosed and perfectly safe for pets. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need too. All in all a great stay... no complaints whatsoever!”
