The apartment is in the top row and has a clear view of the mountains (and of course the northern lights) on Kvaløya. The direct bus to the city center stops right behind the apartment. The Lysløypa with a well-established trail network for cross-country skiing, trail biking and hiking is a stone's throw away. Here you can find tranquility after an active day - whether you have been on one of the great mountain peaks or explored Tromsø's cultural offerings.

Recharge your batteries at this unique and quiet accommodation. 25 minutes drive from Tromsø, a small village called Skulsfjord you will find this cozy little house right by the sea. Great views and a quiet area where you can enjoy idyllic mountains and natural surroundings. The Northern Lights season is from September to April. If the weather is clear, it will dance in the sky directly from the living room window. Many unique destinations on foot and by boat that the host can inform about if needed and have maps available in the house.

Spot reindeer, otters, moose, or even whales, and watch the Northern Lights from the porch. Steps away, enjoy a panoramic sauna by the water. A traditional BBQ hut is available as an optional rental. This is our beloved home, and many guests tell us they fall in love with it too. Few places blend comfort and wilderness like this. We never tire of it—and hope you will, too.

Lad batteriene på dette rolige og varme overnattingsstedet. Senk skuldrene rundt bålplassen mens du observerer nordlyset som danser på himmelen eller ta på deg skiene og gå på tur rett ifra stedet. Hytten ligger nært flotte fiskemuligheter som Hella, kort kjøretur til vakre Sommarøy og det er bare ca 20 minutter å kjøre ifra Tromsø flyplass. Til dette stedet må du ha bil/leiebil. parkering for opptil 2 biler utenfor hytten. hytten er enkel,med moderne tv,vann,dusj,wifi etc. Alt du trenger😊

Rustic ocean lodge with sea-side sauna

Beautiful and rustic house by the sea in the countryside 1 hrs drive from the city of Tromsø. The area is great for hiking, skiing, fishing with the midnight sun in the summer and aurora borealis during winter. Included in your stay there is a woodfired sauna placed by the sea with a fireplace and a cosy indoor chill-zone with a charge of NOK 250,- per sac of firewood used to heat these facilities . To prepare and fill the hot tub for you to use during your stay, we charge a fee at NOK 2000,-

Do you want to stay in a beautiful remote place, while still connected to the city? Grøtfjord is located just a 40 min. drive from Tromsø.
