Townfoot Byre, Troutbeck is a beautiful bedroom suite in our 330 year old traditional Lakeland farmhouse. The house was built in 1691 and what is now Townfoot Byre would have originally housed animals. However, it has now been converted it into a charming and cosy bedroom suite with its own small kitchenette and bathroom. The swimming pool, hot tub, sauna and steam room will be closed for refurbishment from Monday 2nd March until Thursday 2nd April 2026. Luxury studio apartment in a peaceful setting in Whitbarrow Village with hot tub, pool, sauna, steam room and gym. Balcony with views. Changeover days are Friday (for a 3 night stay) and Monday (for a 4 night stay) or 7 nights from either day, but please contact me if you have any queries with your dates as we can sometimes be flexible.

Dorothy’s place Bowness on Windermere

Dorothy’s place is part of an 18th Century Villa. Adults only no children allowed. Everything you need for that perfect romantic break. Guests get full use of the large garden and woodland to take in the stunning view. If travelling by train our advice would be get a taxi from the station as can be difficult to find on foot . Guests are welcome to park up as early as you want before check in or drop luggage off in a safe place,but please let us know in advance.
