Holiday rentals with a fire pit in River Nairn

Derrywood is a must stay when in Braemar! It is great for access to the village, hill walking and very close to the golf course and tennis courts! Miep is so helpful and welcoming and we felt right at home when we checked in! Incredibly quiet location with stunning views. Cannot wait to go back soon and enjoy all that Braemar and Derrywood have to offer!

Everything about this property is perfect. It strikes the fine balance of feeling lived in, amazingly well equipped and yet perfectly set up for hosting families throughout the year. We all felt instantly ‘at home’ the kids included which meant we could make the most of some frankly unusual scottish weather of 4 days of no rain or clouds. The kitchen and lounge and deck were my personal favourites - amazing space to cook, socialise, relax and read. The backdrop of the trees and river right at the garden edge was mesmerising. Everything in the house was clean and well maintained, its clear its a family home rather than a stock airbnb business which meant many of the kitchen goods, decor and general fittings and fixtures were all premium quality further adding to the sense of luxury and value for money. Lara was a lovely host, really responsive and we loved the welcome pack. We’d saved up for this joint family trip and because of all of the above its been epic. Thank you 🙏❤️

We go away every year for a group getaway and this is by far the best stay we’ve had! Jonquil and Simon have created a peaceful and homely atmosphere surrounded by nature. From the sourdough when we arrived, to the collecting of the chicken eggs with the kids, we loved every minute of our time there and will definitely be back in the future!

Fantastic stay with the kids. The Mole Catchers Cottage was absolutely stunning and felt lovely and cosy. Location was great with loads of amenities within driving and walking distance. we will definitely be back. Thank you Norton Family. x

David and Ashley are by far the best host I have ever had. Their home was very clean and as described. Just a couple of 6 minute wall to the center of town. They made sure to give us all kinds of recommendations to local attractions and restaurants. if I ever get to come back, I would book their home again.

The property was great, really well-equipped and very comfortable, and communication with Scott was very easy, before and during our stay. The location was excellent, with several trails that could be walked from the front door and easy access to places further afield, and the great Nethy House cafe 10 minutes walk away. We would love to come back one day to explore some more!

A wonderful stay in this beautiful house. A great location, The sunsets even in Feb were beautiful. The house is fully equipped with everything we needed as a family of four. The kids loved the extra touches like yummy tablet (Scottish fudge) and to use the binoculars to help spot sealife and birds. We used the house as a base to visit family further down the coast but Buckie was lovely and we enjoy shopping, breakfast and lunch at pozzi and ice creams at the ice cream cabin and over in Portsoy. We wouldn’t hesitate to book again.

This place is quite special: the Apartment is in the oldest Part of the converted Abbey. It is very large, nicely furnished with extremely comfortable sofas and beds and has a very nice kitchen and bathroom. But this isn‘t all, there is the swimmingpool, gameroom etc. that you can use - even though the place was pretty full we hardly saw other people and did not hear anything from them in the flat. The absolut greatest thing about the place is it’s location right on the Loch Ness, tranquill and beautiful.

Angela's place in Findhorn is simply beautiful and we had everything we needed from the amazing location, to the accommodation itself being exactly as advertised to the way the apartment is decorated and furnished. Angela made everything very easy for us; it is true, she does reply within 1 hour and we felt so welcome when we arrived. The fire was lit, there was prosecco chilling and the lamps we already on. The bay in Findhorn is stunning and the apartment is right on the sea front. It's a short walk to the sandy part of the bay to see the seals and there is a lovely pub, The Kimberley, no more than 100 metres up the road. Everything was wonderful. I would highly recommend Angela's place and we will definitely stay there again when we return to Findhorn. Thank you again.

A really warm welcome from Liz, enjoyed the wine, scones, bread and beer! Tanar View was clean, well equipped and great touches all round, the log burner gave a really cosy feel. Fantastic walks all around will be back for another visit.

Practical and affordable place for myself and colleague to stay for 3 nights while working in Inverness.

Perfect location. Accommodation was very comfortable. Had everything we needed for our 4 night stay. Access to the secure garden was ideal with the kids. The house was spotless. Just back from our family Easter weekend stay. The lodge couldn’t have been better, absolutely gorgeous, clean and had absolutely everything in it you can think of for a weekend away! Lorna was so helpful too. We will be back to stay again it was perfect

Wir waren nach einer anstrengenden Anreise eine Nacht zur Entspannung hier und es war so wunderbar. Einchecken, genießen, schlafen, essen, Fernsehen, schlafen... Perfekt! Action gäbe es genug, die haben wir nur nicht gesucht!!! Alles wunderbar! Danke

Hosts were extremely helpful and attentive. The lodge was exactly how it was described. The stay was a truly unique experience wakening up on a farm every morning with beautiful scenery and one I would highly recommend to anyone that has young children.

My partner and I stayed here for 3 days and it was absolutely magical! Would absolutely recommend!

Die Lage ist sehr schön, abgelegen, mit Schaf- und Kuhweiden. Die Tomatin Destillerie ist sehr nahe und sehr zu empfehlen! Auch Inverness ist sehr nahe und für den Einkauf ist Aviemore sehr zu empfehlen, hat dort einen Lidl und mehr. (waren mit dem Mietauto unterwegs) Einziger Punkt: die Küche ist recht einfach ausgestattet, wir hatten daher in Aviemore noch ein-zwei Küchenutensilien dazugekauft. Bei Fragen und Themen standen James und Kitty immer zur Verfügung und eine Antwort kam schnell zurück. Zur Information: es befinden sich zwei Lodges nebeneinander, die jeweils auch an Familien mit kleinen Kinder vermietet werden. Wer mit seinem Partner alleine Zweisamkeit sucht, muss daher berücksichtigen, dass auch Kinderlärm vorhanden sein kann.

A beautiful Bothy with even better views. The facilities were over and above what I expected. Loved the cosy log fire and the outside fire pit. Alexander was a great host. I would definitely stay again.

A very beautiful and peaceful home from home, this is the perfect location for anyone to explore Scotland, we had a wonderful experience here witnessing all that the highlands and the east coast has to offer. Lots of driving at times but you can easily spend a day relaxing and taking in the surroundings at Kimberley’s stay ! Thanks for a lovely stay 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
