“Just the kindest people, a perfect Irish welcome. Rósín is there when you need her, but also gives you the space and privacy you need as well. The cabin is very cute, and cozy even when it rains and blusters outside. There is an especially beautiful walk just out the door and I was allowed to borrow the dog for company which made it even better. Westport is of course a lovely town with anything you might need.”

“Mary was very welcoming and accommodating on arrival. Great place to stay with dogs. The property is surrounded by woods and walkways with a river walk and wooden footbridge. Location is great right in between West Port and Croagh Patrick. Stove with plenty of fuel for the fire, electric heaters, kitchen equipped with everything for self catering and a comfortable place to relax in the evening after a long day hiking and walking. Would definitely recommend.”
We are only 12 minutes from Westport on the N59 towards Leenane. This peaceful retreat makes it an ideal location to venture into the mountains just minutes away. This is our smallest pod of the two pods available with two single beds and are very comfortable and warm. You will love it. The showers and compost toilets are beside pod -(green unit). There are two showers and two compost toilets. There are no flush toilets as this is eco friendly.
“Small hut with 2 single beds, with radiator, kettle, tea, coffee, cups. 1st and smaller of the series of cabins, 2nd + large with 3 single beds, and 3rd with sink + mirror + 2 cabins with each shower and dry toilets. Michael is building a much larger 4th cabin to house a kitchen. He kindly gave us access to his very large wooden house to cook and share our dinner with him, very pleasant host. Airbnb atypical and charming, ideal for visiting the beautiful Connemara and the city of Westport. Thank you Michael!”
