Boat access property on beautiful Lake of the Woods (must have own boat). A short 10-15 minute boat ride from marinas, restaurants, and downtown Kenora. Relax on the deck, have a swim off the dock, explore the lake, or take in the restaurants, shops and activities in town.
“Marlene was a wonderful hostess. We loved her cozy island cottage. It was easy to get to by boat with her ample direction. She was waiting at the boathouse when we arrived. She was quick to answer any questions we had. We loved the cozy, spaciousness of the place. The kitchen was well stocked and we enjoyed baking and made lots of wonderful meals. The beds were very comfortable, a brand new bed was just put in. It was lovely. My husband and I really loved the privacy of the cabin and the quiet. It made Loon and Eagle watching so much more spectacular! Thanks Marlene. We’d love to come back.”
Inspired by the space-saving design of tiny homes Aster cabin is by far our cutest offering. Built with dovetail pine, and on a cliff overlooking the lake this cosy unit contains all you need to make it your tiny home away from home. Includes access to a shared dock, hiking trails, sauna, cedar shower and use of canoes, kayaks and SUPs. Part of a small eco-resort that has the feel of a wilderness getaway yet is less than 15 minutes from the restaurants and shops of downtown Kenora.
“You will enjoy your stay at Peter and Kristine’s if you like camping, and not plugging along all the pots, pans, stove, etc. to do so. Everything is provided, down to wiener sticks and tongs for the fire, even dish soap. The compost toilets smelled not one little bit, and we appreciated that! Showers were about 8 minutes for a loonie, very reasonable. The canoes, kayaks, and paddle boards were VERY fun to have, and the docks and swimming area great. It seemed like you had your own private lake. We ventured through the tunnel over to the Winnipeg river and had a great afternoon of paddling. With one compromised knee, I wasn’t able to make it back through the tunnel, as it required some maneuvering around slippery rocks, but the Portage is not long. Would definitely go back.”
Bright, spacious room on second level with queen bed. It has two very large windows, closet, and a high ceiling with a sky-light window. The house is furnished with a deck to relax and watch the sunset. House is in town, on a quiet dead end road. Close to grocery stores, gas station, hiking trails, beaches, boat launches and Laurenson creek for LOTW access. There's space at the back for a camping trailer, ice shack, boat or towing trailer. Great for hunting or outdoor activities.
“Don't take the bypass at Kenora! Get out and stay a night at Danielles place. It's worth it. There is everything you need, it's neat and calm. There is a very friedly dog that will never bark.”
