We do not discriminate based on age, gender, race, citizenship, religion, political beliefs, or sexual orientation.
⭐⭐There is a TWO NIGHT MINIMUM stay. ⭐⭐
⭐⭐If you do not see desired dates available, check out our other property listed under my profile, The Tin Can at Case Rock titled "❤️ SANITARY & REMOTE 105 Acres | Hiking | ✓Pets" It is adjacent to the eco-retreat, but you can have access to the trails, your car, as well as modern amenities. ⭐⭐
⭐⭐ Our new insurance company has guidelines to which we must adhere about certain dog breeds that are not allowed. We welcome all dog breeds except Rottweilers, Dobermans, pit bulls and pit mixes. Again, this is not our rule, but our insurance company's. We apologize for having to make this change. ⭐⭐
Case Rock Cabin comes fully stocked with everything you need to have an extremely comfortable camping experience. Our goal is to think of everything so you don't have to. Most people say that so many things were provided, they realized they had over-packed.
▪️Two Queen size Memory Foam beds, twin futon, and twin mattress on the floor
▪️Fully stocked kitchen with one-burner propane stove, gas grill (with optional pizza stone), or Instant Pot (requires cranking the generator).
▪️Essential oil diffuser
▪️Electric lights, USB ports in the walls to charge your phone that work without cranking the generator, attic fans, and rechargeable fans. AC wall plugs will work if you crank the generator.
▪️ Towels, sheets, soap, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, paper products, and some emergency toiletries in case you forget something
▪️ Follow us on IG @caserockcabin to see additional pictures and read about our building process.
▪️Dogs are welcome with NO pet fee. We provide some supplies such as a dog runner, old towels, a food and water dish, and bags to scoop poop (just bring your dog’s crate, leash, food, toys, and a bed).
▪️Not only are you enjoying the tiny house experience, you also have 105 acres of trails at your back door. You will enjoy solitude and the quietness of being half a mile from your nearest neighbor. In order to reach the tiny house, we will pick you up and drop you off in a Ranger. All other trips back and forth are up to you.
▪️We recently acquired goats and two Anatolian Shepherd livestock guardian dogs which are kept behind a fence at base camp where you park your car. You may pet the goats if they will let you as they are still getting used to people. We have five baby goats. We ask that you keep your dogs in your car until check-in process is complete so that it doesn't freak our animals out.
▪️Cabin overlooks the river. Access to the river itself is about 200 yards away and is an easy walk.
▪️It is advised you bring food and a cooler with you with ice. When you check in, you should not plan on dropping your things at the cabin and then going out to dinner. Logistically this is difficult due to the length and challenge of the hike out to your car. We strongly advise you eat dinner before you come, bring take-out, or bring ingredients with you to cook.
Case Rock is OFF-GRID. The cabin features:
▪️a composting toilet (a high-end sanitary toilet with no smell. You will need to empty the urine container when it gets full but we will handle the solid waste.)
▪️solar panels and an on-site generator
▪️non-potable water from the water tanks (except in below freezing temperatures when the water system must be winterized)
▪️drinking water from water dispenser
▪️propane instant hot water heater (except when water system has been winterized)
▪️solar bag shower for use in winter when water system is unavailable
▪️wood heater with firewood
▪️push button start generator
▪️one burner propane stove, two burner propane grill with pizza stone and peel, and an Instant Pot if you wish to crank the generator.
▪️THERE IS NO AC. A battery powered fan would be a good idea in summer. We provide two but you can always use more.
▪️THERE IS NO REFRIGERATOR. You should bring a cooler with ice. We also sell ice for $4 a bag.
Water system in winter--it is possible while you are staying Nov-April that you may have no running water. Water is only used for washing up and showering, so you can still function without it. We always provide bottled drinking water, hand sanitizer, and a solar bag shower should you require it.
Cell phone reception— Cell phone reception can be spotty. We have radio communication at the cabin in case of dire emergency. There is no Wifi at the cabin. You may use the Wifi at the main house in a pinch. If you are hiking alone, we give you a radio.
NOTE : should you wish to go cellphone free for your time with us, but perhaps don't trust yourself not to look at it, we can lock your phone up in a box at the main house for the duration of your stay. Just ask! Simply give your loved ones our phone number and we will notify you in case of emergency.
Refrigeration—There is no refrigerator, but we can help carry your cooler with ice to the cabin for you, and we sell ice at the main house for $4 a bag.
Kitchen supplies—Breakfast supplies (oatmeal and the fixings), spices, vinegar, and oil are provided for your stay. We try to maintain a stocked kitchen for basic cooking. There is no oven.
Breakfast beverages include:
Dark roast coffee beans
A variety of other coffees
Ground coffee and chicory
English breakfast tea
Splenda/sweet and low
Half and half
--Float in an inner tube or kayak down river to the bridge, a 1-5 hour long trip depending on the current. This trip should only be attempted when the river is at safe levels. Sudden heavy rains can make the river unnavigable. In fall/winter/spring the river is often high.
--Fish in the Locust Fork River. We have a couple of old rod and reels but they get used a lot and we can't guarantee their functionality. If you want to make sure to have good equipment, you should bring your own.

You are located 30 minutes north of Birmingham, Alabama, a thriving city with a rich food and music scene. Its award-winning restaurants, killer music venues, museums, and shopping can keep you busy for days should you venture from Case Rock Compound. The main entrance to Case Rock Cabin is two miles off I-65, and two miles from the nearest grocery store, restaurants, pharmacy, and gas stations in the nearby town of Warrior. The real draw here is the Locust Fork River, which is an unregulated, scenic river good for fishing and floating downstream when the water levels are lower. The cabin sits high above the river, safely out of the flood zone, so it can be enjoyed year-round. You can enjoy the sound and view of the river, as well as the surrounding 105 acres and all its natural features. Nearby you will find Rickwood Caverns State Park which conducts tours in its enormous underground caverns. Further north, you can rent kayaks and canoes and enjoy the whitewater sections of the Locust Fork River. Whether natural attractions or man-made, this area offers many reasons to visit.
