  • This is a very quiet and comfortable place to stay. Everything you need is there and it is very relaxing and nice, Margaret and her husband are very friendly and kind hosts.

  • Margaret is very welcoming. Her home was charming and welcoming. Lots of space & we would come again!

  • This was a really lovely BnB in an OLD house in a beautiful small town Ontario setting. Margaret, the host, was easy to contact and very responsive. The booking and exchange of information were perfect. We traveled in December in Ontario, on a cold, damp day and the house was well lit, easy to find and toasty warm when we arrived late in the evening. We had everything that we needed and more. The host has thought of everything! Hope to have the chance to stay with you again.

  • First time ever using air b&b, didn’t know what to expect. Things were easy, the hosts were welcoming and the stay was perfect. I’d recommend and stay again if the opportunity presents.

  • Folks, this location is the finest in the area. If you require a quiet respectful nights rest, then please contact Margaret.

  • Lovely big clean house and tasty cake for breakfast. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was sparkling clean. The pub down the street also had a great beer selection and food menu. Highly recommend!

Escape the city and come enjoy our entire home! This country escape is located in Eastern Lambton County, which is roughly 35 minutes away from Lambton Shores (Grand Bend, Ipperwash and Kettle Point), 35 minutes from Sarnia, and 45 minutes from London
Alvinston is a quaint and quiet town with a few restaurants within walking distance. Need groceries or forgot to pack something? There is a No Frills in the next town over which is about 13 minutes away! Do you have a boat? It can come, as there is tons of space for your trailer on our property and different launching sites in Lambton Shores. Do you have more than 3 cars? That's not a problem either there is ample space for everyone! Are you an animal lover like us? Don't leave your beloved pets behind, bring them along with you! Our backyard is fully fenced in with plenty of room for them [and you or the kids] to run around! Please visit the town's website to see any upcoming events you may like to be a part of! https://brookealvinston.com/ The Space: This is our cozy 2 story country home, where 7 people can sleep comfortably. A little more than 7 of you? Our basement is unfinished, therefore, if you need to bring air mattresses there is room for them down there as well. Sleeping arrangements: The master bedroom is located on the 2nd floor has a comfy queen size and a single bed. The second bedroom also on the 2nd floor is a little more intimate as it has one queen size bed. The third bedroom is located on the main floor and has one queen size bed in there as well. Bathroom Breaks: There is one full-size bathroom with a tub and shower. Laundry is not included. There is a laundry Matt located down the street. The family room has two couches that seat 5 people adequately. We offer wifi, and have a TV equipped with an HDMI cord if you feel like hanging inside for a movie night, please keep in mind there is no cable here, so please bring a laptop, or some sort of device to connect to the tv, there is unlimited wifi! The Kitchen table sits 4 and our kitchen has everything our guests would need to prepare delicious meals for friends and family, however, if you love to spice up your food, our spices are limited. The great outdoors: As mentioned earlier we have a lot of space, so as soon as you walk out of the kitchen to the back of the house you will step out onto a beautiful deck; where you will then find the BBQ. Explore a little deeper into the backyard and you will find our firepit with a few chairs, however, if there are more than 6 guests, we suggest bringing camping chairs! We hope you enjoy yourselves here as much as we do! Amanda and Luca

Tiny, cozy, rustic treehouse at the end of a rugged one-kilometre footpath: sleeping platform and woodstove inside; porch and hammock outside. Campfire pit with tripod grill on the riverbank. Appeals to leave-no-trace hikers/canoeists who look for time off the grid, who understand how to function sustainably and respectfully there, and enjoy being self-sufficient. Pricing: Weekend and holiday rates are higher than weekday.
Very quiet, very basic and private treehouse for 1 or 2 guests with suspension bridge and porch on the banks of the Sydenham River in Southwestern Ontario. Stargazing, birdwatching, a secluded getaway. More like camping than anything - no plumbing or electricity or wifi. We're talking backcountry camping, not car camping. You will need to walk (and carry in whatever you are bringing) approx 1 km from the road to the treehouse on a pretty but rough trail. Sturdy footwear is a must! The two-person sleeping platform (4 ft x 6 ft - you have to like each other a lot!) is cushioned with a mattress of 15 cm (6") gel memory foam, and made up with sheets, pillows, and extra blankets. There is a tiny woodstove (see photo) for winter. Wood is provided. We can lend you a camp stove (let us know when you book) to make your morning coffee and/or meals on the porch, or you can build a fire on the riverbank. Wood is provided for that, too, as well as a basic over-the-fire metal grill. There are camping bowls, plates, mugs, spoons, and a tea kettle in the treehouse for your use, and a couple of fire-blackened pans outside. Breakfast, if you choose and if we are home, is at the stone farmhouse on the property (1 km from the treehouse). It is usually homemade waffles. If we are not home, we will leave something basic, like instant oatmeal, for you in the treehouse. A shower (indoor or outdoor - outdoor is May to Oct) is available to you at the farmhouse, too. Towels are provided in the farmhouse bathroom. (See "guest access" below.) Your private bathroom, however, is a dry-composting outhouse (see photos) 200 metres from the treehouse. Dinner is cook-your-own at the treehouse, or can be had at the popular restaurant in the nearby (a walkable 2 km away) village any day but Monday or Tuesday. Plan to explore the riverbank on foot, or bring your bicycle for the country roads. Bring a canoe or kayak if you have one. Bring your fishing rod if you have an Ontario Fishing Licence. One note: In prolonged rainy weather the river can rise to the point where getting to and from the treehouse is difficult or even unsafe. We will let you know as soon as possible so that you can make the decision to cancel, reschedule, or stay based on your canoeing skills and tolerance for extremes. Rest assured we won't let you stay if it looks at all unsafe. You will get a refund, a reschedule, or a credit for a future stay. To see a winter video of the place by guests, search for "adventureconwards awesome treehouse for only".
Most of our guests just want some downtime away from the grid to nature-watch, canoe, read, stare primally into the campfire, that sort of thing. But for more: 3D's is a very popular restaurant in the village. It is closed Mondays and Tuesdays. Florence Mill Inc. is the well-stocked hardware store. Nearest canoe/kayak rental place is The Crappie Store in Dresden. Nearest gasoline stations are in Moraviantown, Thamesville and Dresden. Nearest grocery stores are in Bothwell and Dresden. Nearby Alvinston (25 minutes away by car) has Armor's Alehouse, which is a craft beer pub and restaurant with music most weekends. It is closed Mondays and Tuesdays. We have listed the restaurants, museums, a provincial park, etc., in the online guidebook. There is a hardcopy version in the treehouse. This is a quiet, pretty and friendly area. Biking is easy.
  • Our fourth visit and as lovely and charming as it was the first time we visited four years ago. Communication, cleanliness and hospitality are A+ We always enjoy our time at the treehouse and Harry & Lawrene's company over breakfast the next morning. Until next time!

    Amanda2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Lawrene and Harry are wonderful hosts, great to communicate with, extremely accomodating, and both lovely individuals. They made our stay pleasant and easy! This location is stunning. A treehouse, suspended over a river, surrounded by forests and fields. Walking up to the house feels like you are passing through 4 different fairy tale locations. While it does get quite muddy down there, the walk is pleasant and the scenery is great. Lawrene and Harry have left so many nice touches at the cabin, it feels very homey despite its small size. This is the perfect place for those who love to be surrounded by nature. I hope to visit again soon.

    Matthew2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Very cozy little cabin! Everything you would need was provided! Lots of board games to play! The place was simply perfect, the wood stove kept us very warm, we had a great night sleep. We’ll definitely be back to this perfect spot in the summer months

    Kevin2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place to stay! One of a kind experience!

    Brandy2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Lawrene’s treehouse was a one of a kind experience. The treehouse is very cozy, even in -20, the wood stove heats it up in no time. Lawrene was very quick to respond to our request for extra wood on our second day. The site is picturesque and entirely secluded. The outhouse was very clean. Highly recommend this experience.

    Sarah2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderful getaway. Everything was as described. Sleeping bag was a great suggestion for winter guests. Lawrene was fantastic in responding to us and making us feel welcomed. She was super accommodating to reschedule our trip last minute when the initial date showed a forecast of heavy rain and flooding. She even ensured that we weren’t charged for the new rate. Now that we have experienced the winter wonderland, we are very much looking forward to a summer time experience! Things we would do differently when we return: make sure our dog has conquered his fear for bridge and steep stairs lol would pack lighter so less trips carrying things back/forth to the car (about 1km per description) - and more time to enjoy the beautiful scenery! Love the riverbank right next to the treehouse. The treehouse was small but nice and cozy for two. Bandaids, books, games, tea/instant coffee and extra tap water for emergency was a thoughtful touch. You will be completely off grid and not see a single soul during the stay - it’s fantastic. Thank you, Lawrene and Harry. - Rebecca and David

    David2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • All the reviews for this place are very accurate! Much better then expected, has everything you need to enjoy a peaceful off grid stay. I had something come up and Lawrene was very accommodating with me showing up a day later. I will definitely be back in the summer. Thanks again

    Brandy2020-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • A memorable and unique experience. Had such an amazing time in the treehouse and enjoyed the warm breakfast at the farmhouse in the morning. A great place to stay and get away for a bit. A childhood dream come true!

  • We had a great experience with my husband in the beautiful and cozy log cabin. Mike is very friendly host who cooks good breakfasts for us. Having fireplace was awesome! A lot of vintage things are filled the cabin. It is like a museum! Lovely furniture and all details. Very nice location - in the middle of nowhere what we needed - to have a rest from city life. Not far from - around 40 min to drive from lake Erie ad lake Huron, it was very good for us - we could walk and enjoy nature. Highly recommended if you want to have a retreat!

    Yulia2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • The space itself is full of antiques and fun decoration. Very cosy and warm around the gas fireplace. Mike is full of tips on local things to do and seems genuinely interested in hosting guests. Overall, a great stay!

  • We booked this cabin to stay at for a photography trip and the setting could not have been more perfect! It was so relaxing and in the middle of nowhere, with lots of old school things inside that we absolutely loved! Mike and his family were very welcoming and let us know of a few places to check out for our photography which was an extra bonus. Highly recommend!

Large, newly remodeled room in the historic village of Napier with a beautiful view of the Sydenham River. Located in a quiet area with a treed in property & lots of wildlife. We have a cot that can fit in the room and there is a private bathroom with laundry available. Relax on the patio and listen to the river in the valley. We are 15 minutes from Strathroy, 20 minutes from 401 access and 10 minutes from 402 access. We are close to Alvinston, Glencoe, Watford, Mt Brydges & Petrolia.
The room is a private guest suite in back half of our home. There is AC during the summer and heat in the winter, with an additional space heater if desired. The room has a 32" HDTV with Netflix. The bathroom features a large marble stand up shower, toilet, large vanity, and also has a washer and dryer. The Sydenham River wraps around the 4-acre property and it has a stunning view of the Napier bridge. Be sure to bring running shoes or boots as you are welcome to take a nature walk through our wooded area in the valley.

Our bunkie is ready to welcome guests to our alpaca farm. It is winterized and you can stay year round. The property is 10 acres - 8 acres belong to the alpacas. Our house is on 2 acres with a big back yard, where the bunkie is located, which we are happy to share with visitors and guests. We offer alpaca walks as part of our farm business. The sunset walks are set aside for Airbnb guests and you are more than welcome to book these at a discounted rate.
There are big shade trees and several sitting areas. If you enjoy gardening, please feel free to help to look after my flower beds. There are fruit trees and berry bushes and you are welcome to help yourself to a snack or dessert. If you would like to help taking care of the alpacas (feeding, watering) and are willing to be ready to go out at 7:30 during the week and 8:30 on the weekend, you can always join me doing these chores. There is a big fire pit for bonfires and lots of space to sit around it. There are several cats around who will enjoy some extra attention as well as a big friendly Saint Bernard. Unfortunately, the alpacas are afraid of dogs they do not know. If possible, we ask that you find other accommodations for your dog.
There is another country property across the road, otherwise, there are just farm fields with corn, wheat, beans, etc. Strathroy is the next town about 12 km away and has all amenities available, Superstore, Walmart, Hospital, Restaurants, community pool, etc. The Pinery Provincial Park with beautiful trails and beaches is by car about 30 minutes away. Grand Bend, a very popular summer destination is next to the Pinery Provincial Park
  • The bunkie was super clean and cozy, bigger than I thought it would be. It was a great experience walking and spending time with the alpacas. It was unfortunate we couldn’t have a bon fire at night as the lighter/torch wasn’t working but we just played cards in the bunkie instead. We woke up early to feed the alpacas.

    Meghan2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Yvonne and Steve go out of their ways to provide such a unique experience so close to London. We had the opportunity to take a walk with the alpacas before sunset where Yvonne told us many interesting things about the animals. The cabin was very clean, cozy, and comfortable. The wifi was also very good, further enhancing our experience. In the morning, Yvonne and Steve provided coffee and tea, and told us many interesting stories about how they became owners of an alpaca farm. All in all, if you're looking for a relaxing night and are interested in learning more about alpacas, llamas, or dogs, this is the place to go!

    Gabriel2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • From an evening bonfire to morning coffee to alpaca feeding and walking, we had a really wonderful stay at Sammy’s Alpaca Farm! Yvonne and her husband were lovely hosts, as were all of their charming alpacas.

    Renee2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Such a happy little place to unplug from the hustle and bustle of the city, absolute quietness, super friendly hosts and the cutest Alpacas, and if you still need Timmies, it’s only 10 min away.

    Yinyin2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Yvonne’s bunkie is cozy and warm (even on a particularly cold winter weekend), and it matches her hospitality. The farm is great place to admire her peaceful alpacas. Check-in and communication was smooth and helpful. Much appreciated and recommended!

    Jai2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • The trip exceeded our expectations. Yvonne and her husband are the nicest people we have encountered on Airbnb. The bunky was warm and comfortable and the alpacas were super friendly. My girlfriend and I are very grateful. We would recommend anyone to stay at their lovely farm.

The apartment is attached to my house. It is fully self contained, with its own kitchen and bathroom. It is located a few minutes outside of Glencoe, Ontario, Canada. It is on a 5 acre lot, with barns and pastures. The apartment is quiet and in the beautiful countryside, and has the best sunsets. It is a place of peace and relaxation.
Peaceful setting, for relaxation and a getaway to a country setting.
Getting around and Restaurant Guide for Glencoe. From Country Suite, go left out of driveway, to first stop sign. Turn left again, then right a country mile down. Or go straight over tracks turning left. Glencoe has several restaurants to choose from. The Red Rooster which is on the Main street, it is very popular for its lunch menu, the Wicked Wok is the local Chinese food restaurant. If you are looking for Pizza, Pizza Picasso and Godfather Pizza are the options. If your looking for a small town home cooking, there is the Embassy Restaurant at the corner of Main street and Glendon Drive, which, by the way is beside the Subway Restaurant. Then further down the street is the Palace Restaurant. There is a LCBO off Main Street, on McKellar Street, going west, first stop sign. Two Grocery stores, Foodland, and No Frills.
  • Very nice and quiet place to stay. I would recommend to anyone needing to stay in the area.

  • Needed a place to stay on last minute to see family. Rhonda is hands down one of the nicest hosts I have come across, she physically goes out to meet and greet and then truly made me feel at home. She has a set of friendly dogs as well. Overall the apartment was big and super clean and she even had a stock of DVDs to select from as well. I could easily come back and stay many more nights.

  • Gary's place is absolutely awesome. We were greeted right outside the gate, given a wonderful tour of the cabin and the surrounding woods. Gary is very intelligent and taught us many things while on our tour. He loves nature and it truly shows. The cabin is very cute and cozy, we were provided with everything we needed. Gary went out of his way to check on us and communicate when needed. This was definitely a weekend well spent away from the city. The cabin and surrounding acres are so quiet and peaceful. Highly recommended!!

  • My wife and I recently stayed at Mulberry Meadows and very much enjoyed our visit. Gary was away when we arrived so he had good friends greeted us on arrival. They gave us a very enjoyable and thorough orientation to the cabin and facilities. The cabin is clean, simple, and equipped with everything you need for spending time off the grid. the adjacent shed contains a neat solar panel/battery setup which provides lighting as well as the shower, which is supplied from a tank on the roof heated by the sun. The outhouse is a few minutes’ walk from the cabin. We spent time on the deck reading, talking, listening to the wind rustle the London Plane Tree and the tallgrass prairie grasses, watching the goldfinches swoop and the clouds float by. When the mood struck us we strolled the paths cut through the prairie, checking out the wildlife and the plants. Having planted some of our small property we have a lot of interest in native/naturalized landscapes so this was a real treat. We highly recommend 3-D Restaurant’s deluxe pizza. We ordered the large; be advised that it fed us more than once! Mulberry Meadows is a quiet and wonderful retreat from the world of cars, internet, constant electronic stimulation. We definitely plan to return.

  • I can only echo the other reviews-its beautiful!!! But here are a few tips. Make sure you take Gary up on his offer of a tour. Fascinating. Take the time to sit very quietly at the pond around dusk. The muskrats will come quite close. If you sit quietly on the porch you will see a large variety of birds, butterflies and insects. We had a hummingbird visit several times. The pizza at the local restaurant is awesome. Ruby's in Dresden (sp? ) is outstanding for breakfast. There really is everything you need at the cottage - paper products, cooking utensils etc. The cooler is small. If you are planning on cooking I would recommend bringing an additional cooler. The sleeping loft fits a double air mattress. It's quite comfy. But if you are really tall It might pose a problem since it's under an A style roof. Had a great time. Would definitely go back.

  • An awe inspiring experience! If you have the pleasure and opportunity to stay at Mulberry Meadows say YES! if Gary offers to take you on a walk! We are so impressed with the wonderful, natural paradise that has been cultivated at Mulberry Meadows! We especially enjoying the concert put on by the frogs and fireflies as soon as the sun went down.

    Renata2019-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful. Idyllic. Secluded. Quaint. Mulberry Meadows is exactly what you need to disconnect from day-to-day life and recharge your spirit in the beautiful wild flower meadow, listening to bullfrogs, and enjoy the unencumbered view of the stars.

    Lorraine2019-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • If you are looking for a real nature retreat in the country, this is it! Woods, ravine, meadows with tall grass prairie, diversity of trees and plants, birdlife, pond complete with bullfrog chorus and muskrats and a friendly little village down the road within walking distance. Unique cabin well outfitted to meet your needs. Warning..Loft bed is up a ladder but if these two seniors can do it, you can too! Gary met us, gave us a tour and history of the property and answered all our questions. Thanks so much for a great get away!

    Susan2019-07-17T00:00:00Z
  • Mulberry Meadows is the perfect place if you want to spend some time in nature. The grounds are beautiful and the cabin was better than I expected. Gary has obviously put his heart and soul into the place. He has taken the effort to include all the little things you could possibly need. I highly recommend staying at Mulberry Meadows.

    Nicole2019-07-12T00:00:00Z
  • Spent an unforgettable Canada day weekend at Gary’s cabin. If you’re craving for nature, this is a must go. Every touch at this place is very well designed. Gary is a wonderful and thoughtful host. Strongly recommend.

This is a basic but comfortable spare bedroom in a stone farmhouse on a quiet SW Ontario gravel road. Activities are few, wifi is seriously limited, and the shared (not in your room) TV is antenna-only. We have no air conditioning. The house has only one bathroom. **We have closed until July, but will consider bookings by essential workers who need to be in the area and need a place to stay. Use the Contact Host link to get in touch. Thanks for understanding!**
This is really a just-in-case listing. We have a treehouse that has become quite popular, but then had requests for space in the farmhouse when a bed for the night is more important than a camping experience. This is not a tourist destination. You will want to book only because you need to be in the area for some reason. Everything is shared, except your bedroom of course. That's all yours.
This is not a tourist area at all, but there are a few things the locals like: 3D's is a very popular restaurant in the village. It is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. It is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. We have listed the restaurants, museums, a provincial park, etc., in the online guidebook. This is a quiet, pretty and friendly area. Biking is easy, if you bring your own bicycle.
  • Outstanding hospitality and very stylish country home. We had an amazing experience and very enjoyable breakfast. Thanks for having us. Also check out 3D’s down the street for yummy chicken wings and pizzas !

  • Lawrene's place is perfect for those who are driving through and need a place to stay. Everything was clean and beautifully decorated. It was nice to sit on the patio in the evening to read and watch the sunset. She was very accomodating and even made us a nice breakfast for the following morning. We also got to see her airbnb treehouse which looks like a fun place to stay too if you are looking for a camping adventure!

    Jessie2019-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • Expect a wonderful setting in a quiet area. And in great company.

    Dave2019-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • Lawrence’s home was truly a hidden gem. What an eclectic quaint spot in a rural town. She was extremely hospitable from the moment we arrived and fed us an unlimited amount of delicious home cooked waffles with local strawberries. We then went canoeing on the river in a nearby area about 15 mins away. So glad we stopped in. This home is one in a million such a well thought out very unique home. Love it

    Bailey2019-06-23T00:00:00Z
  • Lawrene's place was super relaxing and surrounded by nature. I loved the beautiful hand-made decorative touches in the room. Lawrene and her husband are wonderful and helpful people, and we had some interesting conversations. I had an awesome stay!

    Julia2019-04-18T00:00:00Z
  • Lawrene and Harry are very warm and welcoming. The room and home in general we're impeccably clean. The room had cool decor with some ancient looking cross country skis and old snow shows on the wall, and a cool incandescent bulb hanging from the ceiling which was great for reading in bed. The place felt like a high class log cabin/cottage. 10/10 would recommend. Great breakfast too 👍

    Phillip2018-12-07T00:00:00Z
  • She makes great waffles :D very cute cottage tucked away. we might try out her tree house next time we're passing through.

    Christy2018-11-21T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay very much. The house was in a quiet countryside location. Lawrene waited for us even though we had a late arrival. The house was quaint and clean. We loved the waffle and coffee breakfast. The location was easy to find even with limited service at night. We would definitely stay again, and recommended it to anybody in that area!

Welcome to our home - a large Victorian house at the north end of Strathroy - shared with our guests. Only 20 minutes from London & 40 minutes from Sarnia - conveniently situated for travellers, just a mile south of the 402. You'll love the large trees in our yard & the relaxing, friendly small town atmosphere - with walking trails & parks close by & a great little Farmer's Market on Saturday mornings. Take a step back in time - come sit on the porch & enjoy some time away from the everyday.
This bedroom has a comfy queen size bed. There is one bathroom (shower only) that guests will share. We offer an ample continental style breakfast for our guests. If you have special dietary requirements, please let me know ahead of time & I will do my best to accommodate. There are many restaurants (diners, fast food choices, Swiss Chalet, Amy's, Tang's Chinese, Crabby Joe's, The Duke, & the Clock Tower Inn Bistro for fine dining) for meals throughout the day - & three Tim Horton's located in this town as well. We do love our coffee in this town!
Strathroy was named by founder, John Buchanan, who came to the region in 1832. The Gaelic meaning is literally, Red Valley, because the area reminded him so much of his boyhood home in County Tyrone, Ireland. There are many parks, recreational areas, & trails throughout Strathroy & area. The Sydenham River runs through the center of town, with Pincombe's Mill Pond located on the east side of the main bridge. It's named for the original owner, Richard Pincombe. His family donated the dam & mill pond to the St. Clair Region Conservation Authority in 1963, opening it up to everyone to enjoy paddling on the pond, walking the trails, or feeding the many ducks & geese. We are close to so many attractions! If beach country is for you, there is Lake Huron to the north (Grand Bend, Huron Country Playhouse, Pinery Provincial Park, Pinery Flea Market, Ipperwash Beach, Bayfield, Goderich) & Lake Erie to the south (quaint fishing village of Port Stanley, Duttona Beach, historic town of Sparta). Another option for live theatre is the Victorian Playhouse Petrolia - a 40 minute drive, but well worth it! If you enjoy horses (and all things with a western vibe) give Fred & Gail a call at the Texas Longhorn Ranch (an actual working cattle ranch), just 15 minutes away! They offer horseback trail rides through spring, summer, & fall - & horse drawn sleigh rides during the winter - all delivered with a good dose of country hospitality. When in season, you can pick organic blueberries at Arrowwood Farm, as well as purchase very tasty homemade jams & jellies (try the blueberry with lime!). On occasion you can enjoy a delicious dinner (often created with local, organic fare), catch some local music acts, play a little trivia, or attend a wedding at the Harvest Table. These complementary endeavours are located on the same property - both operated by Phil & Kathy. Be prepared to be warmly welcomed by this generous couple! There are hiking trails here as well. London is 20 minutes away & offers a variety of options for entertainment, as well as some tourist attractions. There are several movie theatres, music venues (our favourite is Aeolian Hall), Budweiser Gardens (sports & entertainment centre for larger sporting events, concerts, & Broadway-style live shows), The Grand Theatre (live theatre), historic buildings such as the Middlesex County Courthouse & Gaol, Museum London (historical museum & art gallery), several excellent music & food festivals & multi-cultural events through the summer months, many hiking trails, plenty of restaurants for every taste - and of course, the Thames River for all our fellow canoeing fanatics. London wouldn't exist without the Thames! For the golf enthusiast, there are plenty of options! Caradoc Sands Golf Club in Strathroy, Bear Creek Golf & Country Club in Strathroy, Fire Rock Golf Club near Komoka, Echo Valley Golf Club near Kilworth, Sunningdale Golf in London, Wardsville Golf Course, Arkona Fairways Golf Club, & more. If antiques are your thing, we can fill you in on where to go & what you can expect to find when you get there! There's a good spot right here in town - the Strathroy Antique Mall - where we've purchased several items for our home. In London, Memory Lane Antiques is one of the area's biggest and best spots for quality finds. There are many more - just ask!
  • Lovely stay. Ellen & Ryan are amazing hosts & their home is beautiful. If you're really lucky Ellen might just make a cinnamon coffee cake to share!

  • The cottage sits on top of a cute coffee shop. My husband and I enjoyed the coffee so much that we were looking forward to wake up the second day to have more but unfortunately the next day was Sunday and they close on Sunday,🙃. We did enjoy a cup of coffee the day prior, which was free along with a bagel, and it was really good. The cottage is super clean, organize very stylish. We enjoyed our stay and we will definitely consider staying their again if we are ever in town. Great service as well,👍.

  • Thank you to Ruth and Arn who opened their home to us. Our weekend here was a true bed and breakfast experience, with cosy rooms and amazing homecooked meals. The place was very clean and Ruth's attention to detail made us feel right at home. They provided us with a great getaway from the city, and would be an enjoyable place to take in the countryside, whether in the summer or in the fall. Will definitely recommend!

    Felix2018-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • Ruth and Arn's home was immaculately clean and tidy and they welcomed us like family. We chose to include dinner on the evening we arrived, as we had been driving all day. I'm so glad we did, as the meal was beyond all expectations. We had roast chicken (raised on their farm) with all kinds of sides, including homemade bread. It was absolutely delicious! What a treat to have a home-cooked meal upon arrival. In the morning Ruth prepared an incredible full breakfast, and then took us around the farm to interact with all their many animals. Our two-year old had such fun feeding the goats, bunnies, chickens, ducks, and even got to ride on a miniature horse! The rooms are well appointed and comfortable, with a full kitchen (we didn't use it, as we took two delightful meals upstairs with Ruth and Arn), and private bathroom. There is a crib in one of the bedrooms, as well as some toys and books. The space couldn't have been cleaner. We highly recommend this farm and will be back if we are out that way again. If you have young children, book this Airbnb! You will not be disappointed.

The hosts were so nice; they went above & beyond to let us check in a few hours early and took the time to chat with us when we first arrived. 100% would recommend anyone saying in the area to stay here!! We would love to come back.

  • Nancy and her husband went above and beyond expectations during my stay. They collected me off the bus from the airport, they carried my bags up to my room and they gave me a lift to the Funeral home I was needing to go to. They where pleasant and friendly and didn’t get upset when they had to answer the doorbell as I had forgotten the code. I would highly recommend staying at Nancy’s.

  • Amazing Airbnb experience! We had stayed for one night about a week ago in the other suite and I prefer this one with the two beds due to having more space and also an unexpected private balcony and entrance up some stairs. The food and drinks at the cafe downstairs were great and they even gave me a free drink! Servers/baristas and customers were super friendly. We got a free mint chocolate bar on our room which was so delicious we even drove to the chocolate shop that makes the bars to stock up before returning home (they have some in their cafe too which we didn’t have a chance to visit the first time around). The room was immaculate and better than the pictures depict. Highly recommend the Cottage for anyone visiting Petrolia.

  • This place was very comfortable and conveniently located right off the 402. There are many amenities and we had a good night's sleep for our long trip en route to the east coast of the US. The only glitch was that the road is closed and we got a little lost in the dark trying to find the house. I should have looked at the map more clearly on my computer before setting out as our cell service didn't work on the back country roads. Once we found the place it was wonderful to walk into such a homey place. Overall, our experience was very positive.

  • we haven’t seen such an awesome well furnished amazingly kept house in any Countries or States we stayed through air BNB. We travel a lot and never felt before in any stay homes like a home away from our home.

Enjoy a weekend or six days of rest and relaxation in the country. The scenery is beautiful and the cottage accommodations are excellent. Experience farm living at its best on 60 rolling acres housing the Giant Clydesdale horses along a beautiful spring fed creek. Enjoy hands on learning about the Clyde's.
Enjoy hiking, fishing (catch and release), campfires, swimming, and horse demonstrations optional.
  • Would love to visit it again for peace of mind and relaxation!!

    Jatin2019-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • This is gem of a place! Perfect for family of 4. The cabin was super clean and had everything as explained. Doreen was so nice and the place is amazing. Kids will love it for sure. The horses were nice to people and Patty (the dog) is a Rockstar :)

    Ravi2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • Truly a hidden gem. There is nothing like sitting on the deck drinking your tea and watching the horses walk by. The cabin is stocked with everything you will need .The grounds are beautiful and Doreen is an amazing lady. I traveled with my two sons 9 & 11 and they did not want to leave. Stop by for a night or two you won't be disappointed. Say hi to patty the dog and Joe Joe the horse.💚

    Taki2019-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • Doreen's cabin is the perfect place to stay if you are looking to relax and enjoy the country. The farm surroundings are very well maintained and organized. Access to the swiming pool adds to the experience. We spent a day at Grand Bend beach and the drive back to the cabin is about 25 mins. After a day at the busy beach coming back to the quietness of the farm was just what we needed. Great place to get away from the hassel of big city living.

    Lenny2019-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • Doreen is a great host. She is very kind and supportive. She gave us valuable tips about the area. The place is great for who likes animals and the country living. If you go there say hi to Patty for us!

    Endrigo2018-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I are just home from an amazing weekend at Shamrock Clyde Acres. The quiet weekend away was just what we were looking for. We didn't need to bring anything besides food, beer and drinks haha. We did bring our own blankets and pillows, but the queen bed didn't require linens. The property and animals are just absolutely perfect and we seriously can't think of anything that we didn't like or would have changed. We will definitely be booking again!

    Tara2018-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • Doreen was very sweet and helpful and showed us everything we needed to know. The farm has lovely horses, a sweet dog and kittens which is great for animals lovers! The bed was comfortable and the A/C was amazing. The TV and sitting area was very nice to relax in. I would definitely recommend staying here again!

  • We had a lovely stay at Bob and Sheryl's place. They were very hospitable and extremely accommodating to all our needs - truly a home away from home. I would encourage anyone who is considering staying in the area to give this place a try. 10/10 I would stay here again!

    Cindy2019-11-15T00:00:00Z
  • We rented Bob and Sheryl's apartment for the month of October for our son who was in Sarnia for some training. Although I did not actually see the apartment, all communication was excellent and it was exactly what was required. My son felt very safe and at home and knew Bob and Sheryl were available if he needed them.

    Angela2019-11-02T00:00:00Z
  • Sheryl and Bob’s place is outstanding and I’d recommend it to everyone who wants to visit Petrolia or the area. Suit is very spacious, beautifly furnished with cute tastefull touches of old victorian style. Kitchen is fully equipped, so if you want to cook there, they have everything you need. Location of their house is 4/5 min walk to downtown Petrolia. Place is very private and have very homey atmosphere. Sheryl and Bob were very informative about the town and its whole surrounding, so we weren’t lost and knew where to go amd what to see (btw visit Oil Museum in Oil Springs- 20 min drive and totally worth it!). We fully enjoyed our stay. Thank you again!

    Olga2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Bob and Sheryl have a lovely place with everything you could possibly need. They really thought of everything! They left snacks, chocolates on the pillows and breakfast items in the fridge. Their place is beautifully decorated and very clean. They were very nice to chat with and have a great dog who we briefly met. Bob and Sheryl left interesting information about their town and surrounding towns. We even found a neat place to buy honey and mead in a nearby town. We would stay again if we were in the area and we would highly recommend their place to others.

    Wendi2019-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • Wow! Monica's place was a real find. Our stay exceeded our expectations in every way. She warmly greeted us and showed us our suite. It was very spacious and spotlessly clean. Comfortable bed too which we really appreciated! Lots of parking. Plenty of privacy and located on a quiet street in the little village of Wyoming, a few minutes off the major 402 Highway to/from USA. Beautiful deck for a morning coffee. This location actually turned out to be very convenient as we were within 15-20 minutes of the amenities of Sarnia, the historical town of Petrolia, and the beautiful beaches on Lake Huron. Monica knew and shared tips on all the best places for dining, local farm produce and the best sights in the area. Highly recommended and look forward to another visit.

The kitchen area was amazing for our family to gather together and each bedroom had a special warmth that was inviting. • This was a quick overnight stop for us on a longer trip. We had a room with two twin beds and adjoining bathroom. That particular bathroom was quite small, especially the shower, but it was fine for a person of average size. The house was very clean and comfortable. There's a garden out back that was very pleasant to sit in. Petrolia is a nice town with a number of interesting restaurants.

  • Highly recommended. Very nice accommodation and hosts.

My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, families (with kids), big groups, private party get togethers and furry friends (pets).
We have a large home with 3 bedrooms for you or your group to enjoy. Our rate is per room.
  • Sam and Sher are amazing genuine people and incredible hosts. They made our stay incredibly enjoyable with great conversation and were so accommodating to our dietary needs. We really enjoyed using their hot tub and jet tub. The bed we slept in was very comfortable too! We definitely plan to be back.

  • I had a wonderful stay at Sam and Sher. They are very friendly and easy going. It was a real pleasure to meet them. Added to that, i felt very good in their house as they put a lot of attention into little details to create an harmonious place. I definitely recommend :-)

  • Sam & Sher`s place was a gem in a region that had little to offer for accommodations. Their home is a mixture of country and modern, very spacious, and with specific areas just for guests. We stayed for 5 nights. We did not feel intrusive, and felt very comfortable to make use of all facilities. We especially loved the heated floors throughout, super comfy bed, big screen TV`s...and the indoor hot tub!! But more importantly, Sam & Sher were the nicest hosts you could ask for. We would definitely book again if we were to visit the region again, and highly recommend their home for any one or group of visitors.

  • Thank you Sam and Sher, our stay was awesome! You made us feel extremely welcome and provided us with everything we needed and more. Cooking breakfast was an added bonus that we really appreciated. Loved the area and would definitely come back again!
