  • Excellent very modern and clean cottage. We loved our stay here, it was the perfect place.

    Craig2016-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely and well equipped apartment that belies it's hidden outside appearance. Had a wonderful couple of days in Bath, which certainly turned on the weather for us. Tony just next door and available if ever needed, but because well explained and easy access to city, no requirement. Good value for money and nice apartment.

    Christine2016-11-04T00:00:00Z
  • Another great stay in Tony's very comfortable and stylish flat. The location is well-placed for getting in to Bath by bus and for visiting local attractions such as Wells cathedral. Tony is a considerate, friendly and helpful host and we are already looking forward to our next visit.

    Michael2017-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Communication was excellent. Apartment was a modern, relaxing oasis with every amenity available. Tony was accommodating to our needs and promptly responded to our communications. Excellent accessibility to central Bath Can not recommend Tony's place highly enough

    Judy2016-09-19T00:00:00Z
  • Tony received us the morning of the 12th, permitted us to drop off our things early and gave us a brief tour of the cottage. He was incredibly kind, and thorough in describing the premises. The space was clean and modern without being ostentatious, with details like books and furniture that made the space feel more like a home than simply a place to stay. If we're ever near Bath again, and we'd very much like to be so, we'd be more than happy to stay here again.

    Joshua2016-04-15T00:00:00Z
  • Thanks Tony for a great stay exactly the perfect place to explore Bath just a few minutes walk to the shop and the bus just a few doors down Thanks for all the goods in the cupboard would certainly recommend this apartment Jytte

    jytte2016-06-17T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time at Tony's place, albeit short (1 night). Everything was new, up-to-date and clean! Although Tony wasn't there to greet us, his wife was incredibly welcoming and gave us all the advice we needed on going about Bath. We would definitely stay at this property again, and hopefully longer!

Lovely small self contained high standard studio space with own private kitchen, shower and toilet. Single Daybed that can pull out into a double. Fully fitted brand new kitchen. Situated in village of Batheaston with great links into Bath and lovely views front and back. A bit like a cosy cocoon.
Comfortable and cosy with one person or the bed turns in to a double for someone you really love. When the bed is out as a double space is tight. Nice space to hang out and pass time with somebody lovely. We live next door so you may hear the family coming and going about our daily lives. We do our best to be respectful.
Lovely quiet friendly Neighbourhood in a great location for visiting Bath and lovely views. On street parking always available .
  • It was a quick 10-15 minute drive into Bath and the bus stop to central Bath was a few minutes walk from the studio. The studio was exactly as shown in the pictures. Perfect for those wanting to save money by using the kitchen. The kitchen was stocked with essentials and cutlery. It was rather cosy, especially the bathroom. But okay size wise for two. Tom was a great host offering suggestions of places to visit

  • Toms place was perfect for me and my girlfriend to have a weekend in Bath. Situated just a 10 minute drive from the city centre. The place was very homely and really private. Tom was incredibly welcoming and supplied us with everything we needed. Would definitely recommend to anyone!

    James2016-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • Great communicator, and took the booking at short notice.

    Carla2017-12-11T00:00:00Z
  • Having left it too late, my girlfriend and I had struggled to find a hotel a week before attending a friend's engagement party in Bath. Consequently, we thought we would give AirBnB a shot for the first time and found this reasonably priced listing. Though initially a little apprehensive, we were soon sold! The flat is exactly as you see in the photos. You have your own private entrance and there are pretty views of the hills outside. The flat also contains an interesting collection of books which provided for a great conversation starter. Local to the area, Tom struck me as a warmhearted individual and sincere family man. The welcome was very friendly and the breakfast he left for us included fresh bread, eggs and cereal. Compact, the room is small and can get a bit tight when the bed is extended. There is a bus ride into Bath center, however, it's not too long. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay in Bath and would recommend Tom's flat to anyone thinking of visiting the area.

    Joe2016-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • We have spent a pleasant, hassle free weekend at Tom's. The apartment was tiny but smartly furnished and well equipped. A little bit noisy due to thin walls. The location was beautiful, quiet, it's on a quiet cul-de-sac with a great view. A bit far from the city but since we had a car this wasn't an issue. We had a busy schedule so we didn't spend time with Tom but he was at hand if needed. Would go back again.

    Kovacs2017-04-10T00:00:00Z
  • Small but perfectly formed. Ok so its really small but cosy (suits couples or verry close friends). Its been newly converted, there were a few minor teithing troubles with the conversion but I am sure they will be sorted out in no time. We chose this place because we wanted a place to ourselves. Price was definately a factor and it was one of the cheapest places we could get by ourselves. Batheasten is about two or three miles out of Bath but the bus is just down the road, takes 20 minutes and runs untill about midnight. Tom is a very friendly host and overall we had a great stay in this place.

We will provide tea and coffee and can provide continental style breakfast on request for a small extra charge. There is an organic cafe less tha 5 mins walk from the house if your tastes run to something heartier. An excellent fish and chip shop and several pubs are also within walking distance.
Historic Bath is an amazing city with a plethora of restaurants, bars, museums and incredible architecture to enjoy. We are situated just outside the city with the world famous Solsbury Hill within walking distance. If you don’t want to drive or take the very frequent bus there is a lovely walk along the canal into the city with two great pubs enroute.
  • Great house and the room and bathroom were large, clean and very comfortable. Beautiful little village with easy access to central Bath by bus or car. Would highly recommend.

    Perdy2017-12-17T00:00:00Z
  • Phil was a great host. He ensured I was comfortable & had everything I needed. All of his comms were prompt. The room was spacious & easy to relax in with a very good nights sleep had in a v.comfy bed indeed. Would highly recommend using Phil's place to anyone in the Bath or Batheaston area.

Delightful 17th century cottage with many original features. 2 double bedrooms with a further bedroom with 2 single beds suitable for children or close friends as access is from bedroom. Small private garden adjoins main garden. Set in the pleasant village of Batheaston opposite Solsbury Lane leading to famous Solsbury Hill and the wonderful views, close to bus stop with frequent buses into Bath 3 miles away. The village has several pubs within walking distance that also serve food. Parking.
The cottage has recently been refurbished with a modern bathroom and new boiler as well as new carpeting but still retains many charming original features. Being an old property, it has some low beams and doors so tall people will need to duck at times, all of which adds to the charm.
The cottage is set in a beautiful rustic setting with lovely walks including St Catherine's Valley, Solsbury Hill and Bathampton Meadows. Take a boat ride into town or walk along the pretty canal the three miles to the stunning historic city of Bath, or simply take the bus from the bus stop 5 minutes walk away. It works out cheaper to take a car into town if it is a group and pay for parking, than to take the bus.
  • Caroline's place was as described, what a lovely old place with all the mod cons you need for traveling. Caroline gave us great information about the area & the view from Solsbury Hill is amazing & it's only up the road. I highly recommend Caroline's place Katrina

    Katrina 2017-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • Caroline was just so friendly, flexible, Accommodating and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend her place to anyone wanting a weekend of peace and quiet.

    Ahmed2018-01-14T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderful place! It was cozy yet spacious—plenty of room for us. So comfortable and so clean! Convenient to Bath, as well. Our hosts were just as lovely as the space—so kind, welcoming, and gave us great advice for what to do in the city and around the area. We wish we could have stayed longer!

    Savannah2018-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • This was our first visit to Bath and Caroline helped make it wonderful! Her home was well prepared for our family of five (kids 2, 5 and 7). Arriving at dinnertime, she was able to recommend a local place to grab a quick bite. She was very helpful and informative when recommending was to get into Bath on a busy holiday weekend.

    Nicole2017-12-03T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Caroline's place! She and Nick were gracious and attentive hosts who extended warm hospitality to our family, which included a granny and a teen. This authentic village cottage is on a steep hill, so the parking space in their drive was appreciated. Great location: We took the fun boat ride into Bath (£5 per person) and the bus back. Buses were frequent and stopped a two minute walk from the door. There are two pubs within a 20 minute walk. Flashlight recommended if you choose to walk at night. The house is very comfortable and all appliances worked. The kitchen is small but serviceable and we chose to dine in there rather than the dining room. To our surprise, Caroline very kindly provided fruit, cake, and groceries for breakfast. Wonderful garden with patio table and chairs too! The spacious bedrooms are up a flight of stairs and the beds comfy. Two rooms stand alone and the third with twin beds is through one of the other bedrooms via a low door way; however our 6 foot tall men did not mind. Guests in the "walk through" bedroom may wish to bring earplugs if light sleepers. We appreciated Nick's knowledge of the area's history. Would definitely stay again!

    Michele2017-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • This is an amazing place to stay. The house has such character and created a great atmosphere for our trip. It is tucked away on a small street but communication was good and we were able to find it easily. The hosts were friendly and welcoming and provided great tips for visiting the area. The house had everything we needed and was perfect for a relaxing stay for all six of us. We would definitely recommend.

    Regis2017-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay in the cottage, it was spacious, clean and tidy. Excellent for a long weekend. Friendly host who left us to it. Great bus link into the centre and the buses home go late into the evening too. Great base for exploring Bath and easy to get to.

    Kirsten2017-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay here. Caroline was available for information when we were planning our visit. Caroline was on holiday during our stay, but she had others there to help us with what we needed. When we had questions or issues while we were there, they did their best to resolve them quickly. And although Caroline was on holiday, she made sure we had what we needed. The kitchen was well-stocked. There were extra towels and sheets available if we had needed them. The beds were comfortable and warm. There was lots of storage space for clothing. Some of the doors have low clearance, but as that was not unexpected from a 17th-century cottage, it added to the experience. Our children thought it was great to duck into the bedroom with the smaller door. We can’t say enough how much we enjoyed our stay. If we ever go to Bath again, we would love to stay there again.

The shared bathroom is a beautiful, large room with a walk-in rain shower, his and hers basins and WC. Newly refurbished 1 bedroom flat in beautiful setting. Surrounded by beautiful countryside providing scenic strolls or ride along the canal. Local shops and cafe within short distance or take the short bus ride into Bath centre. NOW HAS NEW BLINDS IN BEDROOM.
  • Cute little flat with easy access into Bath centre so it was ideal for our long weekend. The flat would have benefitted from curtains in the bedroom but everything else was spot on.

    Emma Kay2016-05-03T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment, which is actually a second floor loft, was not cleaned by the agreed time and we had to wait around till the cleaning lady came. The reason given by Nick was simply unacceptable. Also, leaving so many of his personal belongings in the apartment made us feel very uncomfortable. On a positive note, although being situated on a tight little country lane, the apartment was very close to the centre of beautiful Bath.

    Jeffrey2017-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay here, it's not too far out of Bath, we managed the 2.5 mile walk in with our 5 year old daughter and it was a lovely walk along the river and canal. The place itself was clean and had lovely views. We didn't see Nick but he was great with responding to any queries we had and all the instructions given were clear. As others have said there are no curtains in the bedroom so I took a sleeping mask to block out the bright mornings. We would definitely return.

    Rebecca2017-06-04T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely little place just 10 minutes from bath centre, great views from living room. The only downfall is you only get 10 minutes of hot water.

  • Well designed and spacious flat with easy access to Bath and local area. Plenty of room in the well stocked kitchen and the bean-to-coffee machine a welcome bonus. Large TV and excellent wifi signal. Liked it so much have booked another six weeks while working in local area. Communication and info from Nick perfect.

    Scott2016-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely quiet area, just a drive away from bath town. The apartment was clean and tidy. It had most things easily available we just had trouble with the tv and wifi, however we did not enquiry about this further. Nick was great regarding communication! All in all, a great stay!

    Hannah2016-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • We chose the flat due to its proximity to Badmibton Horse Trials. It was the perfect location and great value for money for that weekend. We found the flat easily and check in was no problem. Our first impressions were very positive. The flat seemed basic but would meet all our needs for the brief time we would be there. On closer inspection we found that there were no curtains in the bedroom. This was a problem for us as we were travelling with our 7 month old baby. There was no way we could cover the windows and this meant on both nights she didn't sleep until after 9pm and was awake at 5am both mornings. We also found that there was no hot water. We called Nick immediately and the hot water issue was resolved and he said he would get back to us about the curtains but never did. We also found that the flat was lacking in ammeinities. There was no microwave for example and there was no tea, coffee or milk. This is obviously not a prerequisite but all the airbnb places I have stayed in previously have provided this touch which is brilliant after a long journey. The flat was perfect for the location and with a few minor adjustments it could be perfect.

    Scott2017-05-07T00:00:00Z
  • Nick was great at communicating with us, sending ahead all the info we needed. The flat was fantastic--such a great location with VERY easy access in to Bath via the bus. The area was very quiet and peaceful with beautiful views. But it is a flat--so a bit of noise (though minimal) can be heard from the downstairs neighbours chatting and watching tv. Overall, we loved it and would definitely stay there again.

Andrew and Karen's house is lovely, tidy, clean, pretty and comfortable. We have enjoy a very good experience at the house. Both Andrew and Karen are very friendly and helpful who gave us many useful informations such as transport, parking and dinning. I'm sure I will host on this house again if we have chance to have a trip to Bath again. Mick and Sylvia

    Jack2016-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment is beautiful and modern. It has a cute outside area if it's warm with a bbq to use too. Andrew was keen to help us out when possible. The area is a little town in the countryside with great walks and pubs. Very happy with our stay!

    Laura2016-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • A welcoming stay from Andrew, a lovely area to sit outside if the weather is warm. The flat is in a small village with small shops and pubs and not to far from Bath either.

    Lizzy2016-07-20T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment was exactly as advertised and very clean - it had everything we could have needed and it exceeded our expectations. Andrew was very helpful on the other end of the phone when we struggled to find the apartment down a little alley and he was so friendly - I felt as though we could have asked him anything and he would've helped as much as he could. I would definitely recommend anyone staying here - it really is the perfect apartment for two.

Spacious warm house in Bathampton 1.5 miles from city centre. Enjoy a pleasant walk along the canal or river. Good bus service and plenty of parking. Spacious lounge to enjoy and sociable large bright kitchen, guest bathroom. Garden with table and chairs on sunny days. Quiet area with beautiful views.
  • Christine made me feel very welcome from the start - and so did Harry, the cat! The room was on the small side but with plenty of storage and a big, very comfy bed it's not an issue at all. Loved the bathroom! There is a guest kitchen with fridge, sink, microwave, kettle and toaster which I thought was great. The house is in a quite area but the bus into Bath is very close and takes about 10-15 minutes. I had to go to the other side of the Avon - which is a beautiful walk across the Bathampton Toll Bridge. Only takes about 20 minutes to walk there and I'd recommend it as part of the Bath sight-seeing experience. I highly recommend Christine and hope to be back next year for more archery!

  • I had a week of lectures at the university so the proximity to the campus worked really well for me. Christine was very friendly and made me feel welcome & suggested a good place to eat the only thing was it was a little way from takeaway or convenience store. Cat was friendly. Nice lounge to relax in the evening. Would be happy to stay again.

  • We enjoyed staying with Christine and Gregor. They are warm and caring and when my husband needed medical attention, the even took us to the hospital. Taxi to their home was inexpensive so this was a great option for touring Bath. We will fondly remember our time in Bath and miss our hosts.

  • Staying with Christine was a lovely experience, she and her husband made us feel more than welcome. The house was nice and big, the room was clean and spacious. The bus stop is 3 or 4 minutes walk, so is very close. Christine is very friendly and gave us a lot of recommendations of what to do around the area. She also baked a delicious banana cake and homemade bread which we enjoyed for breakfast. Thank you Christine, if we go back to Bath we’ll stay with you again.

  • Although I visited Bath for only two days, it was a very nice experience. Emma is a very welcoming host. The directions that she gives to reach the house make all sense once you get in this lovely city. The house is astonishing! The room with a single bed is huge and very stylish. In the bedroom, there is a lot of leaflets about Bath’s most famous tourist attractions and an England’s guidebook too. The bathroom is very good as well. The house is located on the top of a hill. It takes about 15 minutes from the bus station (next to the train station) up to the house. Because it is a circulate bus, it takes a little bit longer to go down to central Bath, where most tourist attractions are located. Be aware that in the evenings and during the weekends the bus has a reduced service. However, it is also possible to walk down the hill to the city centre (about 35 minutes). I would love to return to Bath and stay at Emma’s house.

  • Emma was a charming host. I wasn't sure of my arrival time and she was very accommodating. The room was lovely and that particular area of Bath is residential and quiet so I had a lovely night's sleep. I also enjoyed the company of the cats! Thanks Emma!

  • I had a great (Email hidden by Airbnb) munication was good, she is a really easy going interesting host. Emma's house is beautiful full of interesting art and ceramics. The bed is super comfy and the location is very peaceful with easy access to Bath.

  • Lovely room in beautiful Bath. Emma is a good host who made sure I could find my way around Bath and borrowed me her umbrella despite the sun - just in case! Thank you! The walk to the city centre is quite long - it took me about 30 min - but offers amazing views of Bath and surroundings!

    Beatrijs2015-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • Really eclectic and restoring experience! Two cute cats are great company and the bed was cozy and comfy. Close to the bus in and out of town, a great place to stay in Bath!

Coronation Cottage is a light and characterful cottage that has recently been refurbished to a high standard. Slightly elevated it offers a lovely view down towards the rest of the village of Batheaston and over to Bathford.
The 3 storey cottage offers original stone fireplaces, wooden floors and wood beam ceilings. The space remains true to it's past, it has a rustic and slightly contemporary feel with clean lines blended with historic charm. The winding staircase serves the upper floors with the master bedroom occupying the entire top floor reaching up into the eaves and the second bedroom on the first floor along with the travertine stone tiled bathroom. The beds are dressed with Egyptian cotton and can be made up to suit either a family, 2 couples or 4 individuals on request. Towels are provisioned as per the number of guests staying. The living room has a log burning stove to keep you warm in the winter months. Netflix is provided along with wireless internet for some entertainment. The kitchen is equipped with a range oven, washer/dryer and all the standard appliances of a modern home. The cottage is self-catering but to help you get settled in there will be bread, tea, coffee and milk provided. Outside there's a decked area with seating on offer and a secure bike store is available for those who are looking for cycling holidays, you can find a nice cycle route via the towpath into Bath starting just along the way.
Local amenities on the high street include a very good fish and chip shop with a post office inside, a village store and a local pub The White Lion. Recently a lovely Café called Gather has opened within 20 paces of the cottage serving great teas, coffee, food and a licensed bar. A stroll down the road offers some more eating and drinking establishments; the Bathampton Mill has a lovely setting on the river with a huge well maintained beer garden. The George is next to the canal path and very popular with cyclists and the odd barge enthusiasts. The centre of Bath is approximately 2.5 miles away and easily reachable by car, very frequent bus service, taxi or around 45 minutes level walk.
  • Lovely place to stay and very conveniently located. There are some pubs within walking distance from the cottage and regular buses to/from Bath. Cottage was clean and had all the amenities someone may need. If you want to light the wood burner (as we desperately wanted!) make sure you bring firelighters and kindling wood, we bought some from a store nearby. Overall very pleasant stay!

    Anastasia2016-11-06T00:00:00Z
  • Nick's house is a lovely period cottage, beautifully decorated throughout. Beds were super comfortable and we all said we had the best night sleep we'd had for ages that weekend! Good location, a short bus or taxi ride to town and a lovely coffee place just across the road. We haven't met nick but the whole process was really smooth and he provided us with all the info that we could have possibly needed. There's a key safe outside of the house so no need to worry about late arrivals. The only thing I'd say is that if you have small children or mobility issues then the house might not be ideal for you because the staircase is pretty steep (which can't be helped because it's a period cottage) - but we will definitely come back when we're in bath next!

    Monika2016-05-09T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely time at Nick's. The building itself is quaint And just as shown in the pictures. Regular buses nearby make it easy to get to and from the cottage. Would recommend overall, but be warned that the kitchen is a bit bare (we had to toss our salad in a pan and use paper towels to dry in lieu of cloth ones). Nothing prohibitive of course but it's still one of the least-equipped places I've been. The road nearby can be a bit noisy during the morning rush hour, but even with our windows open, we managed to sleep very well. This was probably due to the incredibly comfortable beds that Nick offers to make at our request (either singles or double/queen). Everything else was smooth and made our time in Batheaston great. Thanks Nick!

    Loïc2016-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is perfect, well equipped and very comfortable. The pub down the road also does pretty good food. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again.

    Oliver2016-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • This cottage is beautiful and probably even impressive than the picture. It's extremely comfortable, full of character and decorated to a high standard. The kitchen is great for cooking and very well equipped. I loved my stay there and would do so again. I didn't meet Nick but he responded very quickly and provided lots of relevant information (before my stay and within the cottage). As others have said, the stairs in the Cottage are steep and narrow, but I felt that added to the character to the place and shouldn't be a problem for most.

    James2016-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay in Batheaston. Comfortable beds, great kitchen if you need to cook and good wifi.

  • A beautiful base for exploring Bath and the surrounding area. This is a gorgeous cottage, lovely and cosy, wonderfully comfy bed and filled with art by local artists. Netflix & wood burner too for chilling of an evening, perfect!

Our Georgian townhouse is in a peaceful, beautiful village 2 miles from Bath city centre. The city is easily accessed by bus (10-25 minutes), and excellent pubs and restaurants are just a 5-10 walk away. The village is very popular with walkers, who want to climb up Peter Gabriel's Solsbury Hill or experience the canal and river walks in the beautiful countryside. There are plenty of fantastic dog walks.
Our house is on 4 levels, so it offers a lot of peace and privacy. There are plenty of communal and washing areas, as well as private bedrooms. Dogs are welcome, as long as they remain quietly in the downstairs kitchen and any mess is cleared up. There is no allocated parking, but it is easy to find a spot outside the house free of charge.
Northend is a very peaceful and friendly village. It is extremely safe and everybody watches out for each other. Visitors are welcomed and antisocial behaviour is not tolerated.
  • As 4 of us staying great value for money. Great local cafe (can’t remember the name) but with a visit

  • Fantastic house within easy reach of Bath. Lovely space and a great host. A brilliant find!

    Jayne2017-11-05T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely accommodation perfect for our family get together - good location although we stayed in the house. The children loved the tree house and there was plenty of room so that we were not on top of each other. It would be worth noting that the stairs are very steep and could pose a problem for those unsteady on their feet although my 82 year old father coped with help. I would recommend this house if you wanted space and easy access to Bath. The host was just down the road and available if needed - great stay.

  • Absolutely beautiful building in an amazing location. We walked along the canal into bath and it was gorgeous, highly recommend the walk. The house is massive. There is a few pubs, a shop and a bus stop near by, as well as only being 2 miles from bath city centre. Catherine was extremely accomodating, would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend :-)

  • We had a fantastic stay in Catherine's lovely house. It's nice and spacious, great kitchen and dining area and fab big comfy sofas to hanging out with space for everyone! The house is well located for some lovely walks and with easy access to Bath. Catherine was a great host and we'd recommend staying here.

The 'Old Sweet Shop' is exactly what its name suggests. The house dates from the 16th century and was once 2 shops, one selling sweets. As you might guess, it is full of character and period features, but a recent renovation also gives you a modern kitchen, a wetroom as well as a bathroom, gas central heating and all the conveniences you might expect. Located on the high street in the village of Batheaston, a small suburb of the City of Bath, just 10 minutes by bus. Private parking space.
A large lounge with LED TV and wood burning stove provides plenty of room for relaxing. The modern kitchen/diner has all the amenities you might expect with a separate utility area containing fridge/freezer, washing machine etc. There is also a spacious dining room where you can relax away from the lounge. The conservatory, through which you can also access the enclosed garden, is very light and airy and allows you to let the garden into the house for a mediterranean style feel. There is a downstairs wet room with high quality Mira shower and travertine stone tiling throughout. Upstairs you will find two double bedrooms and a single room, plus the communal bathroom with a shower over the bath.
Batheaston is a lovely little village in a countryside setting, with most amenities you might wish for. Just a couple of doors down the street is the newsagents, also selling milk and other basics. The fabulous Gather Cafe is less than 30 seconds walk and a real treat. Although Batheaston is a great place to stay whilst visiting Bath, it is also a destination in its own right, with beautiful walks, lots of river activities and close to famous tourist spots like Castle Combe, Lacock, Longleat, Stonehenge etc
  • Spacious, clean, well appointed historic cottage. Comprehensive factfile and joining instructions. Well located for walking and cycling vacation, and adjacent to bus stop with regular service to Bath. Dedicated parking. Very prompt responses from host. Highly recommended.

Small but perfectly formed and a lovely getaway cottage for a couple looking for a romantic break or a single person looking for a 'home from home' and more. Underfloor heating, parking outside and easy access to the City of Bath, perhaps by river bus in the warmer months from the nearby Bathampton Mill. 4 star 'Gold' rated by the UK Tourist Board. Our calendar is updated daily, often twice a day so you can be sure it is accurate.
The Saltings is a four star rated Grade II listed one bedroom cottage with an interesting history dating back to the 16th century. We made the conversion to a high quality holiday let in 2011 and were keen to retain as many of the original period features of the property as possible. We have enhanced the building’s character through careful use of stone and wood to create a unique and very comfortable, character property, ideal for couples looking for a romantic or relaxing break or a single person seeking a peaceful haven. The Saltings has every modern feature you would expect, such as under floor heating, state of the art appliances, leather sofa, travertine bathroom and super comfortable King size bed. The secure car parking space in front of the cottage is another feature which makes 'The Saltings' high on convenience. The bus stop into Bath is at the front of the building on the High Street. Batheaston is ideally situated to explore the wonderful sights of Bath and the surrounding countryside, with such exquisite villages as Castle Combe and Lacock just minutes away. The World Heritage City of Bath is conveniently accessed by bus which stops out on the high street at the front of the property. Or you can take a leisurely cruise on the nearby river Avon or stroll along the canal. One of the area's best riverside pubs is just 10 minutes walk from the Saltings, where you can also catch the river bus into the City between April and October. In the same courtyard, we also have 2 x two bedroom cottages, the Old Workshop and the Coach House, plus a superb detached Georgian style property (Mulsanne House) which will sleep up to eight. A few yards away on the high street is 'The Old Sweet Shop' sleeping 5. So in total, we can accommodate parties of 23.
Close to Bath, yet in a countryside village. Quiet and peaceful with lovely surroundings and plenty of local amenities.
  • Gorgeous building, underfloor heating and a bottle of wine on arrival were wonderful touches!

  • Our first AirBnB experience and it couldn't have been more perfect. Saltings is a lovely little cottage in a wonderful location. Thanks.

  • We had a great weekend staying at the Saltings. Just as it looks on pictures and communication was excellent. We were sent a document before our stay with all instructions, directions and places to go before we arrived so check-in and arrival was seamless. The bus stop outside takes you straight into town quickly or you can walk. A taxi on an evening is very reasonably priced too. Bath is beautiful - definitely recommend staying here. Thank you!

    Bryn2017-12-10T00:00:00Z
  • Had a wonderful stay at John and Jane's beautiful cottage. Well equipped, comfortable and perfectly placed to explore Bath. John's email guide to the property (sent well in advance of our stay) made finding and accessing the cottage so easy, as well as giving us all the information about the area that we needed. The welcome pack of food and wine in the kitchen was also a lovely touch. Bus stop is directly outside, and makes getting into the city so much easier, without having to worry about parking. Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay - only wished we could have stayed longer to explore Batheaston itself, and walk into the city along the river. Perhaps next time!

    Laura2016-11-26T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect in every way! Clean, cozy and quiet. We had a wonderful time staying here and would highly recommend it! Very thoughtful hosts who have really put in every effort to make this a comfortable place to stay. The information provided about Bath and the area was most helpful.

  • We had a lovely stay at the Saltings. The cottage was clean and looked exactly like the photos, perfect for a few nights. It's a good distance from Bath and not too far from Bristol either so we managed to explore a lot. We didn't use the bus however parking in Bath was expensive and the bus stop was just outside so would be a good alternative. We also tried the recommended little cafe, called Gather down the road, which was great for brunch. I would definitely recommend this cottage and would come back again!

Awarded 4 star 'Gold' status by the UK's Tourist Board. Close to Bath but with countryside views. Close to the river and lovely pub. Our calendar is updated daily, often twice a day, so you can be sure it is accurate. The Old Workshop has a Tesla charging point.
The Old Workshop is a luxury two bed cottage in a private courtyard on the edge of Bath. The Old Workshop is finished to a very high four star 'Gold' standard, ideal for a romantic get-away, a relaxing break or a base for all the many sights of the area. The accommodation is flexible, so the property is suitable and cost effective for between one and four people. If you are a couple and require both bedrooms and bathrooms, there is an extra charge of £40, which you may pay on arrival. Otherwise the second bedroom and bathroom will be locked. The price for 3 or more reflects use of both bedrooms and bathrooms. We can make up the beds as singles or super king size doubles and many of our guests have said they are the most comfortable they have ever slept on. For tall people one of the beds is extra long. The Old Workshop has stunning views at the rear of the river Avon and beyond, underfloor heating, luxury oak painted kitchen, an ensuite shower room and main shower room. You can walk to the river Avon and a super riverside pub from where you can take a beautiful boat trip into the City of Bath between April and October. The beautiful surrounding countryside is easily accessed, by car, public transport, bike or on foot. This is one of four holiday let properties in our courtyard in Batheaston, just on the edge and ten minutes drive from the City of Bath. We also have the luxurious four bed 'Mulsanne House' the Saltings one bed cottage for couples and the 'Coach House' , a two bed property, next door to and very similar to the Old Workshop. Please enquire for more details or look at our other listings.
Beautiful countryside views to the rear, yet very easy access to Bath, by foot, car, bus or boat.
  • Our host John was quick to send us details about the home and cater to our specific needs. The home is just a short drive from Bath with very convenient bus stops right out the front. Also local shops, pubs and restaurants nearby. I loved walking along the river and getting a taste of the area. The home is very warm, clean and comfortable and we appreciated the welcoming food and wine left for us. Also with John being away, Deborah was a great help with checking us in. We really enjoyed our stay and wished we had more than just 2 nights. You definitely need more time to soak up the beauty of Bath! We recommend the Old Workshop as a quality property.

  • Sweet place with a nice quiet location and close proximity to Bath without being in the heart of the city. We thought the beds were really comfortable. Good info sheet on everything you'd need, though we struggled a bit with the hot water for shower. Very tranquil place. Didn't meet the hosts, but very good communication.

  • Good location near stop for buses into Bath, and Batheaston is a reasonable sized village with a couple of pubs shops etc. We appreciated the thoughtful touches such as the Christmas tree and provisions such as eggs, butter and mulled wine. There is a lovely view from the kitchen/living room which is light and airy. It's very well insulated and the heating worked well once we'd got the hang of it. We stayed over Christmas and were disappointed that TV reception was poor, with a reliable connection to BBC 1 and BBC 2 only. The wifi connection was also intermittent.

    Ann2016-12-28T00:00:00Z

I have been a Bath resident for 10 years. If you have any questions about tours, attractions, restaurants and bars or would like to know about hidden secret gems only known by the locals then please ask :)
Bath's a very beautiful city. As it is a UNESCO world heritage site the architecture is absolutely stunning. For a small city it is very lively with lots to do. You're going to want to stay for longer once you have visited.
  • David's apartment was in an absolutely ideal location. We were able to walk everywhere! The room was comfortable, and he even provided coffee and tea. David was a friendly host and was easy to communicate with. If we visit Bath again, this would be the first place we would try to book. We highly recommend this spot!

You will find it hard to better this lovely 2 bedroom cottage, both in terms of location and the high quality finish. Often described by guests as by far the best accommodation they have ever experienced. Easy access to Bath, yet with countryside views and close to the river. 4 star 'Gold' rated. Underfloor heating and the most comfortable beds. Our calendar is automatically updated so you can rely on what you see and book instantly if you wish. The Coach House has a Tesla charging point.
"The best beds we've ever slept on" "Wonderful place to stay; clean, fresh & very modern! Great base for all the fab places to visit. We had a great time" "We were very impressed with the property, modern and comfortable. Best bed we've slept on in a self catering accommodation. The view is fantastic." "By far the loveliest place we've ever been to. The cottage is just gorgeous, with no expense spared on the beautiful furnishings." These are examples of just a few of the glowing testimonials we receive every week for our cottage in our courtyard in Batheaston. The Coach House, like all our properties, is finished to exacting standards and achieves a 4 star 'Gold' award from 'Visit England' on every annual inspection. Like all the properties in the courtyard, it has an interesting history dating back hundreds of years. It was part of the adjacent stables, which John and Jane converted to the current use in 2013. The conversion to a high quality holiday let has created a very comfortable, character property, ideal for couples looking for a romantic or relaxing break, a single person looking to get away from it all or a larger group who might like to let it in conjunction with the Old Workshop, the Saltings or Mulsanne House. Although it's a two bed cottage it can be let by a single person, couple, two couples or four singles in any combination of single or super king size beds! Once we know what you want, we will make up the beds and the rooms accordingly. If you are a couple or a single and only require one bedroom, the other bedroom and bathroom will be closed off leaving you the ensuite bathroom off the bedroom. If you require both bedrooms and bathrooms, there is an extra charge of £40, which you may pay on arrival. The price for 3 or more reflects use of both bedrooms and bathrooms. Secure car parking space in front of the cottage is hard to find in Bath and makes coming and going as easy as it can be. You don't even have to take your luggage upstairs, because the bedrooms are on the ground floor. The open plan living, dining and kitchen area is upstairs, where the views to the beautiful Bathampton Meadows are stunning. We know you will appreciate the painted oak kitchen and the use of oak throughout the cottage to create a luxury feel. The property benefits from such 21st century technology as a managed heat recovery and ventilation system which keeps the air constantly fresh, cosy under floor heating and a very high level of insulation to keep you cool in the summer and warm in the winter. All the kitchen facilities are of high quality and feature Bosch ceramic hob and oven, dishwasher, washing machine/dryer fridge and freezer. The bedroom at the rear, looking out to the countryside, has an ensuite shower room and there is another 'communal' shower room for guests staying in the bedroom at the front, overlooking the courtyard. Both feature luxurious underfloor heating, quality tiles and a powerful shower with unlimited amounts of hot water and like all the linen, the towels are Egyptian or Turkish cotton. There is very easy access to Bath. Ten minutes in the car or by bus (which stops outside the property) or 35 minutes walk. Or you can take one of the boats from the Bathampton Mill or a leisurely stroll or cycle ride along the beautiful canal all the way into the city. You will not find a better quality holiday home for the price.
Close to Bath, yet in the countryside, with stunning views
  • We had a fantastic stay at the coach house. It was warm and welcoming during a cold November weekend. The view out the window over the fields and river was beautiful, the sheep were an added bonus! I would happily stay again, and might!, and would definitely recommend it to others. Thanks John

  • The apartment is exactly as it is represented. It is comfortable and clean. It was nice to have a few staples in the fridge ready for us to get us started. The apartment is in a great location to explore Bath and the surrounding area. We used the public transportation to go into Bath each time. John was great to work with and made booking easy. I highly recommend renting any of these apartments. I look forward to staying here again.

  • Fantastic accommodation exactly as described with all the mod cons! Location great for exploring Bath with a bus running until midnight that drops you 30 secs away. Beautiful views and fantastic hosts. We will be booking again!

  • Great place, exactly as described and beautifully furnished. Thanks very much for having us.

  • This was excellent accomodation with all modern facilities for washing, cooking and chilling out. Location being a stone's throw from Bath made access to the sights really easy. I loved the view over the river with each breakfast I had. All around great accomodation.

  • A beautifully finished cottage, a short drive out of bath city centre. We stayed there with another couple and thoroughly enjoyed it. John kindly left a bottle of wine and some breakfast ingredients which was a lovely touch. The bedrooms are huge and the living area on he first floor is extremely comfortable. great views across Somerset countryside too! The reasons for visiting bath are well known but we can also recommend the beer garden at the mill at batheaston (7-8 minutes walk from the coach house) and Cumberwell Park golf club (10 minutes drive). We would definitely recommend this place to friends and family. Andrew and Kiri

  • Perfect place! There was well view out of the house. It was quiet and comfortable. Everyting was woderful. There was a good kitchen. We cooked the dinner myself. John was a good man. He not only give us a red wine as gift, but also afford many helpful information. If you would go to visit Bath by train or by car, I strongly advised this house.

Stunning Georgian style property, awarded '4 star gold' status and winner of the TripAdvisor 'Certificate of Excellence' award. Lots of space, thoughtful touches and a beautiful garden, make this a home from home and more. Excellent location and a perfect property for family groups or gatherings, friends get togethers and 'hen' parties. Our calendar is updated daily, often twice a day, so you can be sure the dates you are interested in are available. Mulsanne House has a Tesla charging point.
Mulsanne House is a large detached Georgian style house in the suburbs of the ancient and famous Roman City of Bath in the South West of England. Built new for us in 2000, the property is in its own courtyard with security barrier, views to the glorious English countryside at the rear and 2 large patios for winter or summer entertaining. Heated outdoor 'grotto' and outdoor living area with barbeque, fridge etc giving a Mediterranean feel. Two en suite double bedrooms, with zip and link beds, one double bedroom and another large bedroom with two further 'zip and link' beds. The property is immaculate throughout and quite private. The Georgian style lounge is very comfortable and has an LED 40" TV including Sky TV, Hi Fi, docking station and WiFi. There is a superb French style kitchen and a traditional dining room as well as a study and utility room. Plenty of secure parking and a bus stop on the road outside to get you into Bath in a few minutes. There is a towpath along the nearby canal which can take you into Bath or out into the beautiful countryside. We also have a 1 bed luxury cottage for a couple called The Saltings, which we rent from £395 per week and two 2 bed cottages, the Old Workshop and the Coach House, which we rent from £395 per week each, or short breaks. These are all listed on this site.
Close to Bath, yet with a countryside feel. The village of Batheaston has everything you might need and is a destination in its own right. Newsagent and quality family run cafe are less than a minute's walk.
  • This house was magical. everything you could want and more. We loved our stay and the people were friendly and helpful. The house was perfect in every way. Thank you for allowing us to stay my family and I had a great time and could relax in your beautiful house.

  • My family and I had an excellent New Year at Mulsanne House. The property was lovely, beautifully clean and very spacious. The gardens are grand (although the weather left a bit to be desired) and the locality and closeness to Bath perfect. Thank you for such a great time.

    Susan2016-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Nice place and very spacious. Slightly difficult to find in the evening when it is dark and if you don't know the area. Might want to make the instruction shorter and clearer on how to first obtain the key from the house then open the gate. Spend easily 5 mins trying to read through again the very detailed instruction before managed to finally get in. had a great time.

    Kenny2015-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • The listing description was very accurate and the hosts just made us feel like at home. The way the house was kept by the hosts never gave an idea that it was a rental property. It was as if they were living there themselves. They were very kind enough to leave detailed instructions about everything. They had left some essential groceries items as well so we didn't have to rush to the supermarket straight away :) The locality was wonderful and there were grocery shops nearby for emergency stuff. The house was within a 5-7 minute walk from the river from where we could take the boat to Bath. It is a must!

Experience staying in a characterful Georgian cottage in a private double room overlooking the park of Beacon Hill Common, with free parking directly outside and just 15 minutes from the centre of Bath.
A period Georgian cottage, with original features and a modern bathroom with power shower, your bedroom overlooks the quiet park.
I'm at the top of a hill in a very quiet residential neighbourhood overlooking the small park of Richmond Place. Central Bath is filled with cafes, pubs and restaurants, locally there is the Richmond Arms, which serves food most days and has a sunny terrace.
  • Charles was a perfect host. He made us feel at home as much as he could, leaving us using everything we needed. The house was confortable and quite clean. Even when my partner felt not so good he gave us all the help we needed. Maybe the way to the house is a bit steep but we managed to get there in the night by taxi that is cheap and easy to find. Thanks Charles

    valentina2016-03-20T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay with Charles. The location is beautiful and easy walking distance to the centre of Bath. Our room was clean and tidy and we enjoyed a nice chat with Charles over a cup of tea just before we checked out. Recommended.

  • Very nice stay with Charles - easy to talk with and good communications, lovely house quite arty feel as well:) The house is at the top of Bath with some steep roads but good views at the top - hopefully will stay again.

    John2016-01-10T00:00:00Z
  • the host was very friendly and welcoming. the accommodation was a double room in a georgian cottage as described. unfortunately the room was accessed by a very steep staircase which made carting luggage difficult and it felt unsafe. the room was dirty and cold. the linen didn't look clean and there was no mattress protector. there was clothes and used socks already in the wardrobe. the bathroom was dirty and toilet often did not work. one communal cake of soap provided. i didn't consider it hygeinic at all. kitchen dirty +++ . afraid i could not recommend this b& b and will think again before using the service.

    Ross2016-05-21T00:00:00Z

  • I went to the inaugural Flash Fiction Festival at Bath's New Oriel Hall and Henry's place was a perfect nearby house for my two night stay. Just a half hour walk out of the city centre, the area is quiet and leafy but also has shops close by. The house itself is very clean, tidy and tastefully decorated. My room was the small bedroom with a comfortable single bed, perfect for my needs. The room also had a writing desk and tea and coffee facilities. I'd definitely stay there again if visiting Bath for anything else.

A contemporary and recently refurbished one bedroom flat with private parking on the eastern outskirts of Bath. Ideally located for easy access to Bailbrook House Hotel, the University of Bath, the city centre and the surrounding countryside. Everything you could need in a clean, quiet and relaxing space.
This contemporary one bedroom flat is located on the top (second) floor of a well maintained, purpose-built block of eight flats (please note, there is no lift/elevator in the building). The flat is recently refurbished, clean, bright and airy. It has an open-plan living room and kitchen, and enjoys stunning views of Bathampton to the rear. All windows are double glazed, which helps keep the heat in and noise out, and natural light can be controlled with the use of wooden Venetian blinds in each room (especially handy if you want to lie-in!). There is easy-to-use electric storage heating and hot water throughout the flat. Upon entering the flat there is a small hallway with access to all rooms... Bedroom: double bed (with bedding and linen), two bedside tables and lamps, a chest of drawers and a large, mirrored wardrobe with clothes rail, hangers and a shelf. Bathroom: sink, toilet and bath with shower over. Essential bathroom toiletries are provided. Airing cupboard: houses water tank, towels, vacuum cleaner and mop. Kitchen: Oven with grill, hob, extractor hood, washer-dryer, 1.5 bowl sink, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, kettle, and ample cupboard space including cutlery, utensils, pans and crockery. There is no private garden with this property, but there are some beautiful parks and public gardens nearby.
The flat is located on an attractive, quiet residential development at the top of Eveleigh Avenue, making this an ideal location for anyone wanting to escape the hustle and bustle of the city centre. The development is next to Bailbrook House Hotel, which also makes this ideal for anyone attending a meeting or event there... you can't get any closer than this! Local, village shops, pubs, restaurants and cafes are a 10-15 minute walk from the flat. A wider selection of shops, restaurants and cafes can be found along London Road (20-30 minute walk).

  • Tay was very attentive and helpful. Only stayed there one night but she welcomed me with soup after learning I hadn't esten anything that day. The house is very tidy and clean. The location is good, quiet and near attractions.

    Juan José2016-05-19T00:00:00Z
  • Tay herself was delightful and very hospitable. She communicated well with me prior to arrival and during our stay. The accommodation was dated and is more suited to a student/budget traveler.

    Susan2016-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • Tay was very friendly and welcoming - a great host! Quiet location meant a nice walk in to town. Lovely warm home and comfortable beds.

    James2015-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed at Tay's with 4 girlfriends for one night. The location is lovely and about a 30 min walk from the city centre. The house is cosy and Tay does all she can to make you comfortable when you arrive. She also made us continental breakfast and tea in the morning at a time to suit us. There is no shower, just a bath. The house is clean and the beds are comfy. For us, Tay's was perfect and well priced for a short stay.

    Rose2015-03-29T00:00:00Z
  • Our short stay in Bath was made even better by Tay’s warm hospitality. It is situated in a quite area, 15 to 20 mins nice walk from the city center. Parking was easy to find near the house. Even though the property is in need of some modernization, it is clean and friendly. Tay prepared breakfast according to our wishes and helped with ideas of where to go and what to see – as should be expected from a good host. One negative point is that the bedrooms are a bit cluttered and do not have any room to hang clothing up out of a suitcase. If you are looking for a base point while traveling around, then it is a good place to stay.

    Andrew2014-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • Tay made me very welcome. Very comfortable for a short stay.

    Julian2017-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • Tay was very accommodating from the very beginning and there was excellent communication throughout. The little notes everywhere was helpful and the breakfast was great in the morning. The house is quiet and spacious and we had our own drawing room if we chose to use it. In terms of location, we walked from the station which took about 20-25 min which is about the same distance into the city centre.

Enjoy the delights of Bath and relax in our home. It benefits from fantastic views and is situated next to Camden Crescent, very close to town. Arranged over four floors, each room is bursting with character and period features. You will also have a separate bathroom to our family. We love the original Airbnb ethos of opening our home to others.
You will find the beautiful double bedroom with views onto the garden and a bathroom on the same floor. On the top floor there is a room with 1 single bed so if you have children or friends and family we can accommodate them too. We can also arrange babysitting. Downstairs is our large living space with a sitting room, lounge and playroom area. You are welcome to make use of the space and share with us. On the ground floor is a kitchen diner with beautiful flagstones throughout, a butler sink and all the utensils and equipment you will need. By arrangement I would consider preparing a meal for your arrival or get the provisions you need. This would be arranged on the phone beforehand and a price agreed. We do not offer breakfast but you are most welcome to help yourselves to tea and coffee and make some toast if you would like.
Our neighbourhood is very beautiful. A georgian street with views of the city and surrounding countryside. It is also very safe, with a very active neighbourhood watch scheme and very friendly neighbours.
  • Natalie and Miles were on holiday when i was staying at their house. They arranged for their lovely housekeeper Renata to meet us and show us around. All was perfect and was a great house to stay in.Thank you.

    Emma2016-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • Natalie and Miles were friendly, welcoming, and immediately made us feel comfortable and at home. Their daughters were also kind and sweet to share their toys and books with my son. It was a real pleasure to relax and chat after the kids were in bed in the evenings, and this in particular made our stay in Bath warm and memorable. I also enjoyed their two cats, as they were easy to live with and liked being petted. As far as their home, the house is just lovely and exactly as pictured. The bed was quite comfy and I was grateful to have the front garden to play in with my son. We truly lacked for nothing during this stay.

    Heather2015-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • Really an amazing house! The house was built at late 1900, landlord kept some ancient stuffs with modern design, especially they build a tree house to their two lovely daughters! And two cats is peaceful, they even sit quietly beside us and concentrated on our conversation

    Dawn2017-05-14T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely house with beautiful views!

    Edward2016-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • The communication from Natalie was excellent so we felt we knew her before we arrived. We were made to feel at home immediately, and had the run of the house on Saturday while our hosts were out. It was a very relaxing stay: our room was lovely with a comfortable bed, and we also took their daughter's charming bedroom on the 4th floor for our daughter and her boyfriend. We were invited to make ourselves at home and help ourselves to tea etc. Breakfast (toast and cereal) was laid out for us and there was no problem with a leisurely start after our late night party. Sheet rain prevailed on Sunday morning which made popping into Bath sadly rather unenticing but we were kindly allowed to stay in the house until it was time to leave for our lunch party. Natalie and her family are very flexible and relaxed, her daughters delightful, the cats adorable, and we thank them all for a truly lovely stay.

  • Very nice place. There was a friendly welcome on arrival. We really enjoy it when we staying there. We'll come again. Would recommend to anyone. Thank you Sara and Peter!

    Aras2016-01-25T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our time in Bath and by extension our stay at Sara's. Although we were out quite a bit during our weekend stay here, the room offered everything we needed. Comfortable beds, a television for when it was raining and we had some time off, a spacious bathroom, and a kitchenette for some tea and toast. If we were to go to Bath again, we'd be sure to try and stay here again :)

    Stefan2016-11-21T00:00:00Z
  • Had a warm welcome, and room is just how it is described. Beautiful area and about a half an hour walk down into the center of Bath.

    Danii2016-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • Sara and Peter made us feel very welcome and Peter went out of his way to meet us from the railway station. Thanks!! All the facilities were as described in the description. The beds were comfortable and there was a nice sofa to sit and watch TV etc in the evening if you wanted. The rooms were in a nice house on the edge of Bath. The road is off the main road and in a quiet location. It felt vey homely. The main road you walk down into Bath is a bit busy so we chose the longer route using the beautiful nearby canal. Having said that it is a reasonable 20 minute walk back up the hill from bath to the B&B from central Bath. It's a great location for exploring central Bath or for walking in the nearby countryside.

    Sarah2016-09-19T00:00:00Z
  • The description is totally accurate, and the reality was even better than what we expected from the text and photos. This part of the house is made of a large sitting room/bedroom and a large bathroom, with a smaller (not so small) bedroom in between, both at garden level. Our stay was just perfect, ample room and perfect sleep!. And a very well fitted bathroom with, again, ample room, which is also a definite plus. Our hosts were excellently flexible and helpful as we missed our travel time prediction by several hours, due to much busier traffic than we had (genuinely) expected. Peter and one of his sons went to lengths to accommodate our revised arrival time, with very efficient interaction via text and telephone; be they both warmly thanked here. We'll stay there again at some point and we shall recommand this place!

The floorboards are old and painted white, with wood discoloration showing through. The space is this room and share of small bathroom. Breakfast not provided but great cafes within 2 mins walk.
Lovely park across the road, great old fashioned tiny pub across the road that has Irish music session every Friday evening, couple of minutes stroll into historical Bath, for shopping, museums, cafes, bars and art gallery's, and of course the thermal spa. I regularly decorate my home, but have never had a lot of money to spend on it.
  • Handy and close enough to the action.

  • Lucy was a fab host very friendly and welcoming from the minute we arrived. The house we stayed in was clean and tidy and our room was very comfortable. Lucy gave us plenty of information on places to visit and eat in bath. If you are taking a visit to bath a recommend a stay with Lucy.

  • Lucy was very kind in waiting for us, because the bus was in traffic jam...we could call her any time. The flat was really nice and tidy, a cosy dorming room. Only the bathroom was very very cold in the morning, to take a shower. But that is only a Little thing. She also gave us some flyers and travel guides for the area. We can totally recommend Lucys flat and Bath-we had a nice time!

Small double bedded room with black out curtains, relaxed, atmosphere in attractive comfortable cottage . Close to local shops, pub & good bus route 10-15 mins to Bath City Centre. 5 minute walk to countryside or 30-40 minute canal walk into historic Bath. Use of kitchen. Sm car park opposite or roadside. Bath's Hot Thermal Spa, only natural hot spa in UK. It's a small city so most POI are close to each other. Restaurants, cafes, buskers, pavement artists make it an interesting & lively city.
Relaxed & comfortable. Easy access to Bath City Centre.
  • Brenda was great, really informative and had a beautiful house with a lovely rear garden in the sun - where we enjoyed having our cups of tea and hot cross buns (provided by Brenda) in the morning. The bed was extremely comfortable and clean, and bedroom is peacefully quiet with good curtains to keep out the sun in the early hours. The bathroom is also really clean and has a pleasantly powerful hot shower. Transport to Bath is really convenient - we really recommend walking alongside the river (30mins) into Bath. Definitely recommending Brenda to friends.

  • Brenda was a lovely and friendly host, able to advise us about how to see bath and giving us loads of useful information about parking. Breakfast was simple but perfect for us. The room was small but clean and the bed was super comfy. I would definitely recommend it!

  • This was my birst booking with Airbnb and, curiously, I was Brenda's first booking. From my experience I can only say Brenda is an excellent host an I would recommend you to book her room. The room itself is comfortable and Brenda's house is a lovely cottage in a very good location for buses, which run frequently and will take you into central Bath in about 10-15m. It really is a great location if you want to stay away from the crowds, as it is peaceful and quiet, and with easy access to walking paths in the beautiful surrounding countryside.

  • Brenda is a great host, the house is lovely and I reccomend a walk along the canal to Bathampton. I had a peaceful sleep, and a lovely breakfast. Thanks Brenda!

  • Brenda is an absolute delight! I arrived late on a Saturday night and was welcomed with a cup of tea and given a hot water bottle to bring up to bed with me, I was made feel at home from the off. The bed is incredibly comfortable, the room is small enough but tidy, clean, had plenty of sockets, books, a chest of drawers, everything you could want! I slept like a baby. I only stayed for a day so I didn't need to use the shower but the bathroom is clean and bright and Brenda had cleared space for my toiletries. The house is a 30 min bus ride from the centre of Bath and the buses are very handy even on the weekends, you can get a day ticket for £4 which if you'll be making more than two journeys is well worth it. The wifi in Brenda's is perfect and you can use the kitchen if you wish which is perfect. If you are travelling alone or wish to share a double-bed I would highly recommend you get in touch with Brenda, an interesting and kind host.

  • Brenda is a gracious host. She welcomed us, allowed use of her kitchen for tea, coffee, self made light breakfast. Use of her garden and front room. She is knowledgeable about the Bath area. We loved that her place is a short scenic walk into Bath (30 minutes) or a easy bus ride. We would stay here again.

  • Perfect place to come back to after the busy work days I was down in Bath for: Batheaston is nice and quiet, room lovely and homely, and Brenda was very welcoming and accommodating. Thankyou Brenda, just sorry we didn't get chance to chat more!

  • Good location and the hosts were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The shower did wake us up in the morning as a loud noise comes from the bathroom, however it wasn’t a massive issue. The room is very cosy, however small and the way the room was built makes it difficult to move around. Wouldn’t recommend if you are elderly or very tall. I would suggest taking a ipad or some sort of device to watch something at night as the room doesn’t have a TV, this wasn’t a massive issue. It was definitely worth the money in comparison to how expensive the hotels were and we had no issues with the hosts, we would recommend!

  • Great place - central location, very clean, thoughtful hosts

    Ben2018-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • The house itself was very clean and tidy and well situated; it took maybe ten-fifteen minutes to walk into the town centre. Our hosts were swift with their responses to any queries and we had no trouble finding the house or the key we'd been left. The bedroom itself was a little small but for the one night we stayed this wasn't an issue. Overall very satisfied and would recommend!
