Just booked in Gloucestershire

The perfect, cosy base for exploring the Cotswolds. Close to the start of the Cotswold Way, 20 minutes from Stratford Upon Avon, ideal for Cheltenham races, Chipping Campden Music and Literature festivals, Longborough Opera and many places to eat.
This is a newly converted garage. It originally housed the village's milk float, hence the name The Quart. We are on the edge of the quiet village of Weston sub Edge, just two miles from Chipping Campden. The Quart is a cosy, open plan home with a spacious kitchen/living room, a double bedroom and an ensuite shower room. There is room in the sitting room for a travel cot but no door between the bedroom and the sitting room. We are very rural and consequently wifi and mobile signals can be patchy. There is underfloor heating throughout and it is furnished and decorated to a high standard. The bedroom has a comfortable double bed with hanging space and shelves. The kitchen area is fully equipped with a double hob, oven with grill, kettle, toaster and fridge/freezer. The living area has a tv/dvd player and a comfortable sofa with extra cushions and blankets. There are lots of books, dvds, walking guides and games for your entertainment.
The North Cotswolds is a very attractive area with lots to see and do locally. If you are keen on walking or cycling, there are a number of good and challenging routes around. The local towns are bursting with history and ripe for exploration. Chipping Campden marks the start (or finish) of The Cotswold Way and has a number of annual festivals including music and literature , and also hosts The Cotswold Olympicks. Broadway has a fantastic art scene and a brilliant deli. Stratford upon Avon and Cheltenham are 20 minutes away. Nearby National Trust properties include Dover's Hill, Hidcote Gardens, Snowshill and The Fleece Pub. This is a very foodie area and recommendations for local pubs and resaurants are listed in the welcome pack.
  • Really lovely stay at The Quart and we wish we could have stayed longer. Thoughtful touches like butter, milk and jams make the difference and the place was exactly as pictured. There's a pub just 10 minutes walk down the road. Comfortable, clean and great value!

  • The Quart is a supremely comfortable place to stay with many extra touches to make us feel welcome. It is perfectly situated for touring the Cotswolds. Sarah and Simeon were gracious hosts. We look forward to a return visit.

  • Absolutely fantastic spot to stay! Beautiful clean space and a great shower. Sarah and Simon have thought of everything at the Quart, highly recommend to anyone and will definitely be recommending to family and friends who are going to the Cotswolds. A++

  • We had a one night stay at Sarah's after a wedding. The Quart is beautiful and absolutely pristine. Unfortunately we didn't get to meet Sarah, but she was easily contactable. We would definitely recommend this Airbnb

  • What s lovely little gem The Quart is & a beautiful place to stay. It had everything I needed. Sarah & Simeon were great hosts & offered advice for local finds. Looking forward to staying again.

  • Absolutely wonderful stay at The Quart. The pictures barely do it justice, it's incredibly cosy, comfy and inviting. Sarah was a brilliant host and provided plenty of information beforehand and was on hand as well during our stay. I would definitely stay again and recommend the shortbread as well!

    Alison2016-04-16T00:00:00Z
  • The Quart is a lovely place to stay for a short break in our favourite part of the Cotswolds. The hosts are so welcoming, with lovely homely touches and local knowledge, all helping to make the stay very memorable . The kitchen is very well equipped and a good mattress on the double bed. Easy parking, lovely private outdoor space, and a 5 minute drive to Chipping Campden - or 2-mile walk!

Chipping Campden is one of the main market towns in the North Cotswolds, built by medieval traders with wealth created from the wool trade. With many thatched cottages, this is one of the most picturesque towns in the region. A notable feature of the town is the Market Hall which was built in 1627. Originally thought to be used in the wool trade, the main function of the hall was actually to give shelter to local cheese, poultry and butter sellers. The High Street is relatively small, taking just five minutes to walk from one end to the other, and it has a number of well-regarded eateries ranging from tea houses to dining pubs and restaurants. This main street curves in a shallow arc which is flanked on both sides by terraces of ancient houses, each house having its own embellishments. This feature of the town is one of the reasons why, in 1970, the street was officially designated as a conservation area. Chipping Campden marks one end of the Cotswolds Way which is a 102 mile National Trail linking Chipping Campden to Bath. For the majority of the trail it follows the Cotswold escarpment which gives the walker fantastic views of the surrounding scenery. The Way passes through many traditional villages and close to historical sites including Sudeley Castle near Winchcombe and Hailes Abbey. The countryside along the Way is very diverse, ranging from wildflower meadows to beech woodlands, providing visitors with perfect examples of Britain's stunning landscape.
  • Great cottage character and locale. Lovely stay.

    Gavin2017-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • This a charming place with a true feeling of the old town. Stunning updating , and great location to restaurants, shopping, and coffee shops. We loved our time in Chipping Campden!

    Ann2017-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • A clean, cozy and comfortable cottage on the main Chipping Campden high street. Nice to have milk etc. already present when we arrived so that we could make tea or coffee. Towels were really soft! As is expected in a 17th century cottage the ceilings are very low in places so even at 5' 9" I was ducking my head in places. Also, there was quite a bit of Friday and Saturday late night noise as the nearby pub emptied and the wild folk of Chipping Campden celebrated the weekend!

    Paul2017-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • Chipping Campden is said to be the jewel of the Costwolds...and The Brew House seems like the ideal place to appreciate such an area. Our kids called it the Hobbit House...and I saw in other reviews that they weren't alone in feeling this way. Cozy and full of character. It was both a unique and charming place to stay and a nice, comfortable place to relax after a day of hiking or exploring nearby places. The low beams created a special feel...but a tall family would have to take special care when moving around. We fully recommend this place.

    Linda2017-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • The Brew House is fabulous! On our 3 week tour of England, this was decidedly our favorite place to stay. The cottage ceilings were low, but it was part of the old-world charm and we quickly grew accustomed to ducking our head. The kitchen was well-equipped and the whole cottage was nicely remodeled and comfortably furnished. There was plenty of space for our family of 5. Chipping Campden is wonderful and we loved being right on the main street. It was only a short walk to anything we wanted to do. Highly recommended; all the charm of an old building with plenty of modern comfort.

Wyncliffe is a charming cottage in Chipping Campden - the original part of which dates back to the 17th century - located just a short 2 minute walk from the High Street. The interior has been decorated with comfortable, contemporary furnishings.
Wyncliffe is our family retreat, so we have made every effort to make the cottage as comfortable and cosy as possible. The original part of the house dates, we believe, from the 1650s at which point is was probably converted from a barn into a small cottage with the addition of the fireplace. We totally refurbished the house when we were fortunate enough to find it - about 9 years ago - so it had modern electrics and plumbing. It is such a lovely space in which to relax - and needless to say, a great base for exploring the Cotswolds. If you want to cook, you'll be delighted with the kitchen which is very well equipped with a six burner range and loads of pots and pans and serving plates etc. In fact, whilst you won't find any of our personal effects around the house - you will be more than welcome to utilise any of the cookery ingredients you may find in the cupboards. We have a Nespresso coffee machine as well as a cafetiere - you can buy the coffee pods in the local Coop if you're a Nespresso fan. In the winter we will leave enough logs for a few fires - but if you need more you can buy further sacks of logs from us for £5. PLEASE NOTE THAT because of the limitations of the website and the rural location, the exact location of the Cottage shown is not 100% correct - the cottage is actually on Birdcage Walk at the corner of Hoo Lane and Back Ends. It's still just a very short stroll to the High Street and all that Chipping Campden has to offer. If the dates or number of days you want don't seem available - it's always worth getting in touch - just in case.
Chipping Campden is amongst the most beautiful towns in the Cotswolds (we're biased and think it is the most beautiful) - and has been described as having the most perfect high street in the United Kingdom. Located towards the north of the Cotswolds, Chipping Campden is a great location from which to explore the whole area. In fact, the cottage is located at the very start of the Cotswold Way. There are plenty of pubs and restaurants in town (which is a 2 minute walk away) as well as many options in the villages and towns a short drive away. There's also a great range of shops on the High Street including a butchers, greengrocer, wine shop, deli and general store. Because of the limitations of the website and the rural location, the exact location of the Cottage shown is not 100% correct - the cottage is actually on Birdcage Walk at the corner of Hoo Lane and Back Ends. It's still just a very short stroll to the High Street and all that Chipping Campden has to offer.
  • Excellently located, only a short stroll into town, well stocked kitchen lots of utensils to cook in, a lovely little cosey cottage in a fantastic Cotswold town.

  • Peter's cottage was a picture perfect Cotswold experience. It was perfectly located with easy parking and a 2 minute walk to the Main Street shops and pubs. Peter was easy to communicate with and created a very handy welcome manual with everything you need to know about the house and area! Just lovely:)

  • Our stay in the Cotswold cottage was perfect. Chipping Camden is a charming town and we thoroughly enjoyed our walks on Cotswold Way right out the door. The cottage is charming and cozy, perfect for a family getaway. Nicely furnished, updated yet vintage and had everything we needed. We enjoyed eating breakfast outdoors in the garden.

    Lisa2016-06-11T00:00:00Z
  • We loved this place - a clean, nicely appointed cottage right on the Cotswold Way and a short walk to restaurants and shops. I would gladly stay here again anytime!

  • Peter's house was fabulous with a beautiful garden, extremely well equipped kitchen. Great taste in furnishings, comfortable beds. House is situated in a great location within the Cotswolds. Would highly recommend this rental.

  • This is a wonderful, clean, well equipped and beautifully decorated cottage in one of the nicest towns in the Cotswolds. The owner Peter was very communicative and provided all the information we needed. We enjoyed the peace and quite of the cottage but at the same time being just a minute of so's walk for the centre of the town was great. Highly recommended.

    Simon2016-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • Peters place is exactly what we hoped for and more. The house itself is super cosy and spotless with everything you need there. Great for cooking dinner and having a cosy night in, and within walking distance to the pubs and shops in Chipping Campden so perfect to nip out to the shops in the morning for breakfast, and to the pub later that day! We went on a few great walks and followed Peter's recommendations on good pubs in the area, which were spot on! Would love to come back!

  • We had a very enjoyable short stay in the cottage. Booking was very straightforward, communication covered everything we needed to know and the cottage was exactly as described.

Chipping Campden is one of the most beautiful and historic wool market towns of the North Cotswolds. It is famous for the curving high street and mellow stone houses and sits in a fold in the Cotswold Hills, straddling the River Cam in an area of outstanding natural beauty, the surrounding countryside is breathtaking. The town has changed little over the years and is still the focus for much of the local rural community. There are a wide variety of restaurants and pubs and an excellent range of shops selling local produce, gifts and antiques. The town is associated with the Arts and Crafts movement and offers a wide range of attractions for visitors, including medieval architecture, historic gardens and monuments, regular markets and unique shops. There are also numerous beautiful, quaint little villages waiting to be explored within a short drive. Cultural events are held throughout the year, such as the Chipping Campden Music Festival, the Open Gardens weekend and the Robert Dover's Olimpick Games, described as “the first stirrings of Britain's Olympic beginnings”. Stratford upon Avon and Blenheim Palace, the birthplaces of Shakespeare and Churchill, are cultural gems situated nearby, as are the dreaming spires of Oxford. Cheltenham and the famous racing festival lie 15 miles away.
  • Lovely flat in a great location, would stay again. The apricot tart waiting for us when we arrived was a nice touch. Many thanks

  • I couldn't imagine a better holiday! A fantastic and beautiful home.

    Julia2017-06-19T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely property in the center of Chipping Camden. Perfect for a romantic getaway. Nicci was hugely helpful and gave us lots of advices on restaurants, gardens and small villages to visit. She even had an amazing cake waiting for us upon our arrival. We had a wonderful stay!

    Margaux2017-01-15T00:00:00Z
  • Nicci was very helpful in the run up to our stay with directions and advice on the area, restaurants etc. We were delighted with the warmth of our welcome which didn't include meeting her, but did include delicious chocolate cake, mince pies, tea, milk, bread and chocs! The flat is a real delight - centrally located in this lovely village, it is wonderfully well equipped, very luxurious and a warm and cosy hideaway for 2. Chipping Campden is ideal for walkers, as there are 5 long-distance footpaths leaving the village, and we visited several NT properties not too far away. There are also lots of very good restaurants / pubs locally and small shops to discover in the area. We would recommend this lovely little flat for couples. Thanks Nicci for making our stay so enjoyable!

    Paula2015-12-07T00:00:00Z
  • Jacinabox was just adorable!!! I can't imagine a cuter place. Nicci left us a delicious caramel cake and a beautiful loaf of bread. What a warm, inviting welcome! There was freshly ground (dark - like we drink it!) coffee and milk, too. Many Air bnbs say they are clean and are not up to par. Nicci's place IS immaculate. And we were able to keep it that way as she provided all the necessary cleaning supplies. We were even able to do laundry which was a big plus after traveling for a week. Nicci has beautifully decorated her space and has a real flair for decorating. There are many divine smelling lotions, room sprays, etc. and even lavender spray for our pillows. Jacinabox is a great place to stay to explore the local area. The parking space was a welcome addition too. This easily the nicest Airbnb we've stayed in. Nicci deserves the highest praise for Jacinabox. Stay here!!! You won't be sorry!

    Sara2016-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Nicci's place in Chipping Campden. Prior to staying, she was very quick to respond to messages, was extremely helpful and took the time to provide lots of recommendations of places to eat and visit during our stay. The flat was immaculate, beautifully presented and perfect for just the two of us. The cake and fresh bread she left in the kitchen was also a lovely gesture. The flat is in a great location, just a few minutes walk to the town which was great. Would thouroughly reccommend staying here.

  • We stayed at Green Knoll Cottage for a short family break. The cottage is one in a row of adorable Cotswolds stone cottages in a quiet, but accessible, village, with a great village pub just around the corner. The cottage's interior was the perfect combination of original features and modern facilities, thoughtfully maintained and clean. We especially liked the bright conservatory-dining room. The back garden is pretty and well maintained - we even found colourful wild birds in the back corner. The grassy knoll at the front of the cottage is pretty, especially in the morning (though it means trekking a couple of steps to get in and out). Although the cottage does not come with its own parking, the residents' parking area below the knoll generally had space. The kitchen was well equipped and spacious. The wood fire in the living room was great fun (and very warm - though the central heating was adequate even without the fire). The upstairs bedrooms have views over the village and across the valley - great view to wake up to! Overall a great base to rest and relax when exploring the Cotswolds.

I never get tired of walking down Chipping Campden high street as the buildings are so beautiful and every one is very different in its structure. It is blessed with some great cafes and pubs which offer good coffee and delicious teas. It has been voted one of the nicest villages in England
  • Had a lovely long weekend at Twine cottage. Tucked away in a beautiful row of thatched cottages, it really is a chocolate box English cottage. Rosie was a wonderful host, providing all information in advance so all we needed to do was turn up! The cottage is about 10 mins walk from the village centre but if you need a bit more hustle & bustle then moreton, Stowe and bourton are all about 15/20 minute drives and well worth visits. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend :)

  • This is a truly charming cottage in this "storybook" village. Quiet, comfortable and right in the old town center. Fabulous and highly recommended.

  • Even in February Twine cottage looked a picture, straight off a chocolate box. A cliche maybe, but absolutely true. Inside it also did not fail to impress. Excellent facilities, but loosing none of it's old world charm. It was a delight to stay here for a few days. Also set in a beautiful village built of typical Cotswold stone, & within easy reach of the rest of the Cotswolds. I cannot understand why it has taken me so long to visit here.

  • This is the cottage of dreams! Beautiful beams all over the ceiling and a bathtub to die for. Highly recommended to fully immerse yourself into the Cotswolds charm. Thank you Rosie for the great stay!

  • Great house and well equipped kitchen. The bath on the first floor is hard to use given the tap location on the bath, so we had to use our friends' shower in the other bathroom. But really enjoyed the stay, all in all very good.

  • Wonderful stay for our family of four with two teens. The accommodations are cozy and the accompanying welcome basket was the perfect greeting after a long day of traveling and sight seeing.

  • I would recommend Rural Retreats without hesitation. The place was incredibly well equipped for everything you would need and the welcome hamper was a great touch. We were a group of friends wanting a weekend away from the hustle and bustle of London and this cottage was perfect. Chipping Campden was a great place to stay too- sleepy and relaxing but with enough shops and restaurants to feel you're not cut off from civilisation. We only rented a car for 1 of our 3 days, and felt it would be possible to have a good long weekend here even without transport.

The Old Granary is a cosy little, well equipped "self-catering" cottage with WiFi. PLEASE NOTE THAT PRICES HAVE BEEN SET FOR 2-NIGHTS DISCOUNTS APPLY TO LONGER STAYS - 3-nights 28%, 4-nights 41%, 5-nights 50%, 6-nights 55%, 7-nights 59% WHEN YOU LOOK FOR A LONGER BOOKING THE PRICES WILL APPEAR VERY EXPENSIVE - DISCOUNTS WILL BE APPLIED WHEN WE RESPOND
Originally a grain and cider store since long before the thatched barn it was attached to caught-fire in 1929, it served as a coal-shed after the war and as an office and bike store for 10 years or so before being converted into a delightful little romantic retreat for a couple or even honeymooners. The Old Granary with its stone steps and railings is a cosy little upside down (ground floor ensuite bedroom/first floor lounge/kitchen) and well equipped cottage making it an ideal little hideaway for a romantic few days in the Cotswolds or a few days quiet respite away from the every day hustle and bustle of city life. The cosy, yet light and airy open plan first floor sitting room with a kitchen/dining area can be accessed through a new oak door (through which you get a delightful view of the banked and tree lined lane) from the top of the traditional old stone steps or internally via a stairway from the ground floor bed-room. The fitted limed oak kitchen includes electric oven, electric hob, microwave oven, fridge, freezer, steamer, coffee maker, toaster, dishwasher, washer/drier, etc. The oak dining table and chairs allows two tor more to dine in absolute comfort and an extra leaf and spare chairs are available for those wanting to entertain a couple of guests to dinner. The room now incorporate a comfortable double sofa-bed to cater for the occasional extra guest. Itideal for you to relax in for a few hours and the 40” colour TV can provide alternative entertainment when required. High speed WiFi gives your laptop access to the net. Easily managed gas fired central heating that really does make this cottage very cosy indeed. Internally accessible from the first floor lounge or externally via a new oak door, the ensuite double bedroom, because of its two low beams, carries a Government Health Warning for any guest over 5’ 10” in height. Nevertheless, it offers plenty of space in which to quietly relax, whilst at the same time being very cosy and comfortable. A nice oak table and built in ward-robe help to create a romantic atmosphere. The ensuite wet room has a wall mounted seat and a range of bars to support those with some mobility issues. Clean line, towels and all services are included in the charge and the cottage is thoroughly cleaned between lets. For those unfortunate allergy sufferers, we request that guests do not smoke within the cottage and with the exception of guide and similar caring dogs (for which a small additional cleaning charge is made), we do not allow pets in the cottage. Back in the 1860’s, the main entrance to Campden House came along Blind Lane in front of the farmhouse and turned left around its garden’s curved retaining wall to head up the Orchard Drive to the house. The farmhouse’s garden has always been on the other side of the lane and its patio provides a nice sheltered haven for the occupants of the Old Granary.

  • The Old Granary is a unique and lovely cottage in a quiet location that is ideal for exploring the local area. The main street in the village is a short walk away where there are numerous places to eat and drink(Michael was very helpful in providing recommendations). It's also very well positioned for driving on to nearby towns such as Warwick and Stratford Upon Avon. The accommodation is exactly as per the photos and as described. Everything that could be needed is there. Central heating is easily controlled. Bed is very comfortable. There is a full kitchen and even tea, coffee and biscuits were provided. The village has a couple of convenience stores(open until late) should you run short of anything. Michael was easy to deal with in terms of giving directions to the place and meeting up for check in and out. He was also easy to get hold of during the stay in case anything was needed. Overall, we were very pleased, had a lovely weekend and would definitely stay again.

Thornton is a grade II listed property, built in the early 1800's. Centrally located on Chipping Campden High Street alongside other picturesque Cotswold stone houses, it was once the town's sweet shop! Our beautiful one bedroom apartment has been sympathetically restored to a high standard. With a roaring fire place, exposed beams and stone walls, Thornton has all the charm and coziness you would expect from a Cotswold property. Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels are all included. 1 pet welcome.

We hiked into charming Broadway on the Way, about 5-6 miles and caught the #1 bus back. The dude in the TI confirmed the bus route & timing for us. Next day we hiked a short 1+ miles the other way (a different footway) to Broad Campden and back. No need for a car once you're there. We also took the bus to Stratford. • Thank you Will for a cottage is such a great location. At first we thought it would be noisy on the corner of two main roads, but were pleasantly surprised how quiet it was. The bed was comfortable and we had a great sleep. It is close to all amenities and transportation links. It was clean and bright. The kitchen is fully equipped so you can prep your own meals if you choose. The only disappointment was that there was no wifi available at the time. We had read this was an issue in other reviews.

  • Chipping Campden is a great, centralized location for exploring the Cotswolds. Blakeman House provides convenient, walking access to the town's shops and restaurants. The appliances and bathrooms are modern. The outdoor deck in the back is great for dining and relaxing. A couple points to note, which were not concerns for us: a) the house has no air conditioning, which is not unusual for the area; b) beds and baths are up the narrow stairs on the 2nd and 3rd floors; c) book dinner reservations a few days in advance - the good places tend to fill up in peak season; d) street parking is free and plentiful. We never had problems in the evenings parking a car. We loved the house, the location and the town and would stay there again! Communication and driving directions from Beverley were thorough and easy to follow.

Highly recommended is the farm shop at Lower Clopton (about 6 miles away) and which has its own website with full details. Also, within a 30 minute drive is Daylesford. For the more active, as well as walking and cycling, we have Broadway Golf Course within 4 miles and an equestrian centre near Broadway. We are only 11 miles from Stratford upon Avon. We were made so welcome with milk, bread and some treats in what is a stunning property. The cottage is set in a picture postcard town with all you can need within a ten minute drive. The property itself is comprehensively appointed with everything you could imagine. My family loved it. Thanks Suzanne

  • This house is fantastic. The location is really lovely too - just a 15 minute stroll into Chipping Camden and its great cafes and shops. We had a few nice country walks and we enjoyed a meal at the pub which is only a 5 minute walk away. There was plenty of space for the six of us; the kitchen was really well-equipped; the beds were really comfortable and the two bathrooms were spotless. We'd highly recommend this place!

  • Wow, just home from a amazing 4 nights in The Stables, Broad Campden. Outstanding property, and beautiful location, great distance to all the local attractions (stow and bourton) A lovely pub within easy walking and some great walks from just at the end of the road. We walked with our 3 dogs (who had the best time!) into Chipping Campden had a cream tea and back again a lovely loop route, and not too taxing for our older dog. We would love to return again as it really felt like a home from home.....Thank you

  • Suzanne's house was absolutely fantastic, the photos don't do it justice. We were 3 couples staying, but the house was big enough to accompany more. The garden and BBQ were great and the welcome pack was a really nice touch. There location was great and I'd absolutely recommend staying here. We'd certainly stay again. Suzanne was very helpful and on hand if needed, but very much left us to our own devices, which was great.

    Hannah2016-05-31T00:00:00Z
  • The key was in the door when we arrived and Suzanne popped round not longer after. We were celebrating a family occasion and Suzanne had left a lovely card on the table - very thoughtful! Very clear instructions for everything in the house and although we were there in December, the garden looked the perfect size for eating outside etc. Definitely a great 'Cotswold' experience!

A wall mounted super sleek TV, a console table and distinctive tripod floor lamp complete the furnishings. En route to the kitchen is a Dining Area with extendable table and 4 chairs. Half glazed doors disguise a very handy storage space for the usual household paraphernalia as well as a discrete cache for coats, shoes & boots. A step up takes you to the heart of any home and ahead of you a set of glazed double opening doors allows the light to flood in – it’s certainly no chore to be in this Kitchen. An exposed stone wall adds character to the fully equipped modern kitchen: you’ll find a dishwasher, washer-dryer and fridge freezer tucked away as well as a halogen hob and electric oven and microwave. Another set of double glazed doors open to the side and a secluded seating area. Practical tiled floors make the garden run and wet paws easy to cope with. Back to the living space where wide tread stairs turn and rise to the first floor. First Floor There’s a compact Bathroom with an over the tub shower, perfect for younger members of the family who may prefer a bath to a shower. The Master Bedroom with sumptuous king sized bed is a very grown-up space: double aspect so light and airy with views of green, open spaces to the rear. A muted palette of greys accented with mauves and green create a sophisticated and restful air. A triple wardrobe provides oodles of storage and there’s a large Ensuite shower room. Back to the landing where stairs rise and turn to the second floor. Second Floor At the top of the stairs is a generous galleried dressing area with hanging space as well as ample storage for clothes. This would be the ideal spot for a travel cot, a play space for little ones or a private reading spot away from it all. There’s a window to the rear and the galleried staircase gives this area a lofty feel as well as introducing light from the landing below. From the dressing area a door leads to the Second Bedroom and with a super king sized bed this room is no second prize! Tucked away at the top of the house, this is an indulgent space for couples but if you have children then the bed can be configured as twins. A super comfy mattress, crisp cotton sheets, marshmallow duvet and muted aqua tones ensure a restful night’s sleep. Please note that there is restricted headroom in the second bedroom.
The attractive market town of Chipping Campden, one of the area’s original wool towns, is home to a plethora of shops, pubs & restaurants which makes Diamond Cottage the ideal choice for those who like to get out & about exploring by day but not wander too far in the evenings. With an array of eating places on your doorstep, eating out couldn’t be easier and with a range of independent traders in the town, cooking up a tasty meal to enjoy in the cottage or al fresco is no hardship either. For keen ramblers, the start of The Cotswold Way is practically on the doorstep. At the turn of the century, the arts & crafts movement relocated here from London’s east end so there’s a rich, cultural heritage to be explored too which is still evident in the town today. A visit to The Old Silk Mill on Sheep Street is an absolute must! Options for days out are almost limitless with National Trust gardens and properties within easy striking distance: Snowshill Manor and Lavender gardens, Hidcote Manor and Sezincote House, Batsford Arboretum and Broadway Tower to name a few. With so many strings to its bow, no wonder this cottage shines bright, like a diamond…

  • We couldn't have asked for a better weekend escape. Lorna and Rupert are the perfect hosts. We were made to feel so welcome. Rupert called a few days before the trip and recommended a few great eateries. Lorna came and met us on day one and one our last night Rupert came to make sure everything had gone ok. We really felt at home and very comfortable. The accommodation itself was perfect. Well equipped kitchen, comfy bed and really beautiful views! It was so relaxing and peaceful. We really couldn't have asked for a more perfect trip for a little getaway. We will definitely be returning and recommending Rupert and Lorna to friends and everyone in AirBnB.

  • We had a lovely time at the cottage. Location was perfect to visit all the local towns and sights (lots of useful information, e.g. walks displayed around the cottage). The cottage was well equipped with everything we could have asked for, great getaway, will definitely recommend and hope to return one day.

  • I could hardly believe how cute and cosy this place is; we had a lovely stay with our 8 month old baby and will definitely be back. It's lovely to be so out in the country but still within easy reach of many Cotswolds towns and attractions. The DVD collection was a great touch :)

  • Lovely modern apartment, very cosy and homely. It was a perfect base camp for walks and exploring the nearby villages (car is a must though!) Lorna and Rupert were great hosts - thank you for a lovely stay!

  • We had a lovely stay in Jeanne's cottage! The location is great -- a quick walk to the center of Chipping Camden or to the start of the Cotswold Way. A half hour hike from the cottage up the Cotswold Way gets you to a stellar view of the surrounding countryside from Dovers Hill. We especially loved having a meal out in the welcoming garden space.

    Nell2017-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was in a great location. It had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. Although Jeanne was off having a good time in France, her friend Rachel took good care of us. We would definitely stay there again and recommend it to our friends and family.

  • A cosy retreat for a Cotswold stay. More of a homely environment than a show home. Good to have deparate shower and bathrooms. The extra sofa bed downstairs was both private and comfortable. Safe parking for two cars and easy walking distance into the centre of the village. Lovely small garden and summer house - perfect for evening sundowners.

The barn has a large beamed living room with wood burning stove, a well equipped farmhouse kitchen, a large secure garden with stunning views and plenty of off road parking !
  • Bridget's place is really good for a family to stay especially family with kids as the field is wide so they can do a lot of outdoor activities. The closest town is not far, only 10 mins drive. Bridget is really kind and helpful, my cousin had a good football match with her boys and she is literally staying across the street, so it is really easy to get help. The house is nicely equipped and if you want to experience authentic British countryside life, this definitely is a good choice.

It is beautifully decorated and appointed, and immaculately maintained. And Blockley is a wonderful village to escape to. Evenings in the back garden were especially magical. We highly recommend a stay at Pearl Cottage!

The cottage had everything you could possibly need and Blockley itself was lovely and very centrally located - had a lovely walk to Chipping Campden one day and within 20 minutes or so drive to all the bigger Cotswold towns. Only wish we could have stayed longer!

The Cotswolds are characterised by attractive small towns and villages, built of the underlying Cotswold stone (a yellow oolitic limestone). In the Middle Ages the wool trade made the Cotswolds prosperous and some of this money was put into the building of churches, leaving the area with a number of large handsome Cotswold stone "wool churches". The area remains affluent, which has encouraged the establishment of many high quality pubs, restaurants and antique shops.

  • We've just enjoyed a lovely short stay at The View. We would definitely come here again. The cottage is cute, the garden is gorgeous and the location was perfect for us. Blockley is a darling little village with a well-stocked shop, two pubs and a village green with playpark. The communication with Discover The Cotswolds was great throughout our booking and our stay went smoothly. The baby hamper package and all of the other baby items that were provided really helped. Especially the blackout blind for the baby's room, so handy! Definitely recommend.

  • Myself and 3 girlfriends enjoyed a lovely weekend at 'The View'. The Cotswold stone cottage is well located for exploring the nearby towns and villages and great walks to be had in the countryside too. Blockley itself has a great pub for food! The cottage was well equipped and the view over the countryside is just lovely, just wish it had been a bit sunnier! Great directions and info from Nicola made it easy to find the cottage too. Thank you :)

    Lauren2017-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • As the name describes, the view has a great view and is a very nice old house. The equipments are very useful and the fireplace was so wonderful as we enjoyed a lot down there with enough logs left by the owner. The yard is so beautiful as well and there is a parking space in the yard so you can park inside the yard instead of park at the roadside which feels much safer. People who lived here leave messages and their opinions in a notebook, and that is also very lovely. In total, we loved the view and were very satisfied.

Traditional, romantic, Cotswold Stone cottage with exposed stone & beams and pretty sofas & fabrics with a lovely log fire. Close to shops, pubs and restaurants (39 steps / paces to the high street), yet tucked peacefully away down a small snicket.
The Honeypot has a lovely ambience in this small but beautifully presented cottage. Two bedrooms upstairs, one double and a single. The single bed has a pull out trundle which can be used as a single bed to form a twin room or can be used along with the single to make a superking. When used as a superking, access is restricted to the window as the bed stretches from wall to wall with only a very small gap to the window. The bathroom has a slipper bath and a separate shower cubicle.
The Cotswold stone buildings in the town are stunning. The roof lines are all different heights and angles and the curved high street is beautiful. Locals are friendly and helpful.
  • Nice small cottage. Right in middle of the town. Clean. Kitchen is very small, but considering the price, very good value for a cottage in middle of Chipping Campden. Would highly recommend and would stay again.

Rose & Crown House was built in the early 17th century as a merchant's house and for most of the 19th century and early 20th century used as an inn. The building is Grade II listed and mentioned in Pevsner's the Buildings of England. It has a wonderful period feel with area's of panelling and exposed wooden beams throughout. Chipping Campden is arguably the most attractive of the larger Cotswold's wool villages and the High Street where Rose and Crown House is located was described by the historian Sir George Trevellyan as "the most beautiful village street now left on this island". The village has an abundance of shops, restaurants and pubs and is a good centre for visiting the Cotswold beauty spots & gardens along with nearby historic Stratford-upon-Avon. The town is situated in a conservation area, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, so in turn has a wealth of beautiful buildings and a plethora of architectural styles. This holiday at a glance Sleeps ten guests. Five bedrooms. Two bathrooms and one wet room. Stunning walled garden. Two large open fireplaces, one of which is an inglenook. Because of the age of the building there are some low beams and uneven stair treads. WiFi. Minimum of a three night stay increasing to seven during High season with a Friday changeover, although other weekday changeovers can be arranged. Additional features Exposed beams and original flagstone floors. Steeped in history. Walking distance of High Street with abundance of shops and restaurants. Todenham Manor Farm can deliver a box of fresh meat to your cottage for your stay. Two log fires (logs are provided). Adjacent to the kitchen there is a utility room with two dishwashers, an American style fridge/freezer, microwave, washing machine with separate dryer. Television and further television with a DVD/video player. There is a cot located in the double bedroom of the second floor and a further travel cot along with two high chairs available on request. Barbecue. Attractions and nearby amenities Close by are the National Trust gardens at Hidcote Manor. Every year in late May the town holds the world famous Robert Dover’s 'Olimpick' Games. A must see is the shin kicking and tug o’ war competition as well as many other sporting events. Throughout the surrounding areas there are a wealth of lovely walks with the war memorial in the centre of town acting as the official starting point of the 100 mile Cotswold Way. You can enjoy the delights of the nearby surrounding counties of Oxfordshire, Worcestershire and Warwickshire. From Blenheim Palace and the Cotswolds to the south, to Worcester and the Malverns to the west plus Stratford-upon-Avon and Warwick (with the best medieval castle in Europe) all within an hour's journey.

This beautiful cotswold stone detached cottage offers a wonderful quiet retreat, whilst offering nearby gastro pubs (walking distance) and fantastic walks on the Heart of England Way. This romantic hideaway is easily reached by car (parking immediately outside cottage), train (moreton-in-marsh station, 1.5 hours from London) or bus.
The cottage is all on level ground with no steps. Small and perfectly formed with quality furnishings throughout.
Blockley is an award winning cotswold village. It was the centre of the silk industry in the 18th and 19th century. It has two pubs within walking distance of the cottage, both of which offer excellent food and local ales. There is also a thriving village cafe run by locals as a co-operative. Pop in for a delicious cooked breakfast or cream tea. Blockley also has a shop and post office.
  • Had a great stay at Pats Home. Lovely little cottage with all that you need. Pat was very welcoming and even left Us a bottle of wine and some biscuits. Blockley is a little out of the way so it’s perfect if you need an escape. Would stay again in a heart beat.

  • Pats home is small and perfectly formed. The facilities are immaculate and high quality linens, towels and crockery, much appreciated. The space is compact, but the use of the outdoor shared courtyard adds to the feeling of additional space. Pat, is an attentive, yet sensitive host. Her communication was excellent and she was helpful in signposting us to great walks, good places to eat and even use of the chimminea! Parking is available in the enclosed courtyard and the whole village setting felt welcoming, safe and is utterly beautiful, we highly recommend it.

Molly's Cottage is a cosy cottage in the heart of Chipping Campden. The cottage has been beautifully restored, to keep it's period features. It also has some modern touches throughout and a lovely courtyard garden with table and chairs.
Molly's Cottage is one of those sweet little cottages that you often see lining the lanes of places like Chipping Campden that you always wonder "what are they like inside"! This uber cosy cottage has been carefully restored so as to not lose any of its historic charm, but equally to give it the warmth and modern touches that desceptively spacious cottages like these need. Step in from the Lower High Street (the quiet end of Campden!) and you are in a roomy living room with open fire, which leads to the kitchen with its views towards the local gardens and fields. Upstairs is a large bedroom with King size bed plus an extra bedroom if you want to bring the kids or friends. We loved this private and inviting cottage, comfortably furnished, well equipped and absolutely bang in the heart of this town - one of the Cotswolds' finest. An absolute gem and ideal for soaking up a real country Cotswolds' experience. ACCOMMODATION Entrance into living room. Chipping Campden is a beautiful historic town filled with charm and character, and rightly considered one of the Cotswolds finest and most attractive villages/towns. Molly's Cottage location down the quiet end of the High Street opposite the church makes it about a one minute walk away from the antique shops, pubs, restaurants and amenities that cover the location. We've always enjoyed our visits to Campden (as it is often called locally) and with plenty to do in the near vicinity, it's hard not to think of returning after your first visit. In fact Chipping Campden was recently voted the Nicest Village in England! There are some superb walks literally from your front door, with Dover's Hill a favourite. Depending on the timing of your stay, you might be able to encounter the Olimpik Games, Campden's own, historic version of games - including the infamous World Shin-Kicking Championships!
  • A wonderful stay! So peaceful and well located. Highly recommended home base for the Cotswold. No wifi on site, not tons of utensils for cooking but lovely portable radio for relaxing.

  • Molly's Cottage in Chipping Camden was lovely! Chris was prompt with email info about the area and check in was super flexible to our arrival. The cottage itself was just what it needed to be, nice, clean and quaint. It is situated right on the high street in Chipping Camden nearby all the restaurants, shops and pubs. It was a great base for our adventures around the Cotswolds!

    David2016-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was outstanding. The location was on High Street within walking distance to anywhere in Chipping Campden. The backyard and patio was beautiful and perfect for a wine and cheese evening. The house had everything, from a washing machine, to fully stocked kitchen and fireplace. Just a note if you are a party of more than two, there is one small bathroom downstairs that serves both rooms upstairs. I would definitely stay here again.

  • We had a really nice stay at this lovely little cottage. Everything we needed was provided, its well furnished, the kitchen is fully equipped and it was very clean. The open fire keeps you warm on cold rainy days. Communication with Chris was very good. So definitely recommended!

    Julia2015-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely cottage, great location and communication excellent. Lots of great walking places to go nearby, great playground for the little ones, and spoilt for choice for restaurants. Lovely cottage, would definitely recommend.

  • Molly's Cottage was our chosen spot for New Years and a great break it proved to be. The Cottage is right on the main street so it was easy to get to all the pubs/shops etc as needed - plenty of choice of good restaurants and pubs for food. Lovely walks from the cottage and a great base to explore the Cotswolds. The cottage is lovely - light and comfortable, cosy (real fire!) and sympathetically decorated. There's masses to do in the area so the few days we had was not enough to see it all - we'll just have to come back!

    Mags2017-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Molly's Cottage is in a perfect location in Chipping Campden. It is well suited for a couple or a family with one or two children who can safely navigate the steep stairs to the bedrooms. Be aware that the bathroom in on the ground floor and both bedroom are upstairs. (Be aware that the shower is a bit tight) The cottage is very charming and we greatly enjoyed the back garden area. Coffee makers are French Press style, so be sure to know how to use them before arrival. Overall, we would recommend a stay at Molly's Cottage.

Welcome to number 7 Mount Pleasant, located in a quiet spot in the middle of the historic village of Blockley. Blockley, known a the ‘Hidden Gem of the Cotswolds’, is perfectly located for many wonderful countryside walks, and exploring the many beautiful Cotswolds villages and towns. I love running, and this area is perfect for shorter, easy runs, as well as much more challenging hilly trail runs. The scenery is amazing, and I can provide details of great routes for multiple distances.
Number 7 is well proportioned one bedroom cottage, with lots of character, with the benefit of courtyard garden ideal for alfresco dining! It is set on a quiet lane with pedestrian only access, and moments from the heart of the village. Free on street parking is readily available. A short path across the courtyard garden leads to the front door, opening to a small enclosed porch, and then into the open plan living rom and well equipped kitchen. Stairs lead to the first floor bedroom and bathroom (with bath and separate shower).
Blockley is the classic Cotswolds village, beautiful and idyllic. Many of the buildings in the village date back to the 1800’s, and Blockley’s past as a centre for silk weaving. The village boasts two pubs, and a community shop and cafe. The village is perfectly located, close to the well known Cotswolds towns of Chipping Campden (3.3 miles), Moreton-in-Marsh (4 miles), and Stow-on-the-Wold (7.5 miles). Cheltenham and Stratford-upon-Avon are both within 20 miles. There are many beautiful walks from the doorstep, and plenty of fantastic places to eat very close at hand.
  • Simon's house is beautiful and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to visit Cotswolds. Simon has been a great host, very attentive, sent us lots of very useful information and recommendations which made our stay even more enjoyable. It is a perfect location to explore Cotswolds and house has everything you might need for your stay. You will definitely enjoy your stay here!

Plenty of hot water, good heating, quiet garden with seats/table, comfy bed and close to a great pub with lovely food, friendly staff and great range of drinks. Village is quiet but close to areas of interest. Local shop / cafe a two minute walk. Parking is available but not directly outside. Great base for exploring.... Would definitely go back.

  • The Cottage is just perfect, spotlessly clean, everything you would need is there, we couldn't fault anything, location couldn't be better for visiting the Cotswolds. Although we have visited the Cotswolds many times, Blockley is our favourite of them all & Simon was the perfect host in everyway, quick response to our booking & offered help if needed with the best sightseeing areas, places to eat etc. Can highly recommend a visit to the Cottage you won't be disappointed, you won't want to leave though!!!! Big thanks Simon.

Blockley is a beauitful place and so is the surrounding area, we enjoyed walking around and exploring, there are lots of interesting shops and cafes to see! It's also worth noting that their is a very nice pub which serves delicious food a very short walk away from the house, The Great Western Arms Simon provided lots of useful information which was very helpful and check in couldn't have been easier. We also made an error on our initial booking which Simon helped us correct quickly without an issues. Thank you very much for a lovely stay, we would defintely like to come back! :)

  • Simon's cottage is very cute and comfortable and I was sorry to leave after a lovely week there. The location is incredibly quiet, having only pedestrian access; however this is not a problem as on street parking is available a couple of minutes walk away. The cottage is very well equipped and furnished with an attractive little kitchen, a very comfortable bed and lovely front garden. The local shop nearby is a bonus being surprisingly well stocked and this friendly and very beautiful village is very convenient as a base for exploring the best of the Cotswolds.

The cottage is perfect for two - dog friendly with a safe secure garden which is a real bonus. The village of Blockley is very pretty, nearby there is a pub, cafe & shop all within walking distance. • Warren's place is a charming little cottage just outside chipping Camden. We had a great stay for 1 night but if you're staying for longer, you may find it a bit secluded. The dogs are lovely and the horses handsome - our 3 year old had a lot of fun.

  • Warren's dairy cottage is an ideal place from which to explore the Cotswolds whether or not you have a car. There is a bus stop at the bottom of the hill and Chipping Camden is a 30-40 minute walk away. The cottage itself is very spacious and can easily accommodate four adults. Warren was helpful in showing us how the heating, etc. worked in the house and made our stay altogether pleasant.

Stay in a traditional Cotswold Cottage with a beautiful English Country Garden idyllically set in the heart of Blockley. This is one of the most stunning hidden villages in the region and is perfectly located to explore Stratford, Oxford and Bath. Hidcote Kiftsgate and Mill Dene gardens are all closebye.
This is a beautiful traditional Cotswold Cottage idyllically set in the heart of Blockley - one of the most beautiful villages in the region. The cottage is set well off the road through an old stone arch leading to a secret english country garden which provides a tranquil and private space for visitors amongst flowers, shrubs and a small orchard which has views over the surrounding hills and old church beyond. The large bedroom with en-suite is on the first floor of a spacious, stylish and comfortable cotswold stone traditional cottage. The view from the bedroom overlooks the garden and hills beyond with windows on a dual aspect and has a king-sized double bed and en-suite shower room which ensures a comfortable stay. The large farmhouse kitchen and conservatory downstairs is made cozy by an aga range cooker and again has views of the beautiful garden and makes a perfect inside/outside dining space for guests. Blockley is a secret gem known only to locals and thankfully remains off the mainstream tourist track, yet has two pubs serving food, a shop and cafe providing all facilities and dining opportunities without needing a car. The cottage provides the perfect location for a weekend break or a two week holiday to tour the area - if you can bear to drag yourself away from your favourite spot the garden....... There are a wealth of walking opportunities right from the front door of the cottage, and wea re minutes from the Cotswold Way - but within 10-15 minutes driving are the larger well known villages such as Chipping Campden, Broadway, Bourton-on the Water, Stow on the Wold and Moreton-In-Marsh. Stratford-Upon-Avon, Warwick, Bath, Cheltenham and Oxford are easy afternoon/day trips away and London is reached in 90 mins via a direct fast train service from a local railway station (5 minutes drive). Local Airports include Birmingham (60 minutes), Bristol (70minutes ) and London (90mins)
Blockley is a perfect base for those people seeking a break from the hustle and bustle for the city or those people wanting to have an active touring holiday. There are wonderful little villages to explore all around and most have great opportunities for pub walks and good food. The historic towns such as Oxford, Stratford upon Avon, Cheltenham. Bath, and attractions such as Stone Henge, Blenheim Palace, Warwick Castle and even London are great for longer day trips. The area is perfect for Hikers, Ramblers, Foodies, Cyclists, Mountain Bikers, Opera goers, Horse riders or those just seeking the tranquility of the wonderful Costwold countryside.

  • June and Hugh made us so welcome, it was a real pleasure to be with them and we felt at home right from the start. The garden was absolutely stunning, and the house comfortable, warm and full of character, whether sitting outside in the sunshine, or in the lovely spacious kitchen area with its Aga, tiled floor and large round table. June and Hugh helped with everything we needed, including suggestions for good local restaurants, recommending nearby walking routes, an(URL HIDDEN) a round trip/ drive through lovely Cotswold villages.

  • Wonderful accommodation and amazing hosts! We had a great time in Blockley. A very beautiful little village! June's husband Hugh was there to greet us, he was very kind! He showed through the house and introduced us to their lovely dogs. Our bedroom was absolutely beautiful. They also help me to arrange a surprise for my gf birthday. Always thankful for that! I really wish we could have stayed with you longer. Thank you!

  • June and her husband Hugh were wonderful host. Love the privacy of their place and beautiful garden. They made us so welcome and were so helpful on information about the area and surrounding areas in which they live. We have visited other areas of the Cotswolds and love them all but Blockley is at tops of our list and we will definitely return to June's place in Blockley.

  • We would rate our time here as 10 out of 10. June and Hugh were very welcoming and we had some great discussions, and they were so helpful with local knowledge. We absolutely loved their house and the bedroom was beautiful and very comfortable. The garden was divine. On the whole, our time with them was even better than I expected. We'd love to come again.
