Places to stay in Clevedon
Set in woodlands in the heart of the picturesque Victorian seaside town of Clevedon, ‘Highdale Farm Holiday Cottage’ is an ideal base to enjoy your vacation. The Cottage is dedicated for holiday use and is self-catering. It offers an entire house for your vacation comprising a combined lounge and dining room, a large bedroom, fully equipped kitchen and bathroom with bath/shower. There is free parking directly outside and a small garden will be available soon.
Highdale Farm Holiday Cottage is part of the 800-year-old, Grade 2 listed Highdale Farm, one of the oldest properties in Clevedon and mentioned in the Doomsday Book. The decoration style is a mix of light industrial and vintage styles. Please note: Access to the property is via a short uneven gravel road. The Cottage pathways are flagstones.
Located between the two shopping districts of Clevedon, 'Highdale Farm Holiday Cottage' is only a 2 minute walk to Queen’s Square (and local shops and bus stops) and less than a 10 minute walk to the popular Hill Road shopping and restaurant area, the sea front and famous Pier.
  • Ideally located for the town and in a quiet spot tucked away from the road . Peaceful and relaxing . Everything is comfortable , sparkling clean and restful . Shower is beautifully warm and even though it was cold and wet during our visit , we were warm and cosy inside. Highly recommended .

  • Such a beautiful, cosy yet spacious cottage which was so full of warmth and helped make our Christmas stay in Clevedon extra special!

    Nathan2019-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • A very sweet cottage which provided the perfect place for my wife and I to rest our weary heads following a wedding at Walton Castle. It was spotlessly clean and there there were many stylish touches. It’s set back from the road too so you have a bit of extra peace and quiet.

    Dom2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • Sophie is a great hostess and made us both very welcome once again The cottage is only a short 5 minute walk from the town centre yet wonderfully quiet and peaceful. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend staying.

Clevedon Seafront and the Pier are just 15 minutes walk, you could while away some time in one of the cafes or even have an ice-cream from the best whippy booth in the south west (next to Tiffins). Take a wander up Hill Road (one of many parts of Clevedon featured in Broadchurch) drop into "The Limehouse' for a drink and have a look around 'Fizz' gallery, there's a Sainsbury's local for essential supplies.
Looking forward to welcoming guests from everywhere in the world. If you're coming for a wedding, business, travel or just a few nights away, we welcome you. There's a light and spacious lounge with a sofa bed, a separate kitchen diner, a cosy bedroom and a bathroom that's bigger than it needs to be. If you're looking for somewhere cosy, private and homely look no further. There will tea, coffee, sugar and a pint of milk in the fridge. You have your own front door to come and go as you please and porch to leave your walking boots! should you feel inclined.
Upper Clevedon is a desirable location, many lovely Victorian and Georgian properties on quiet roads, easy for walking. It's very safe here, you could leave your front door open!
  • lovely couple of days in Sarah’s place, very comfortable, tastefully decorated, with everything you need for your stay. We loved it and hope to go back again sometime.

    Jane2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Sarah's ground floor flat is ideally located for beautiful coastal walks, and exploring Clevedon pier and seafront. The flat is located at the top of a hill, surrounded by detached grand houses. The flat is spacious, with a large kitchen (hob, fridge, freezer), roomy lounge with two sofas, blanket and TV, big bathroom (shower/bath), and cosy bedroom. Small touches like milk and cookies much appreciated. It's a 17 min walk downhill to the pier. One small thing to bear in mind: there is free parking on the road and by the flat. We'd recommend parking on the road if your car is larger than average as quite tight if all the car spaces have been taken. When in clevedon we'd recommend puro for posh romantic meal plus the coastal path poets walk, carrying on to the permissive path that hugs the coastline. We walked for two hours and enjoyed lovely views. Thank you sarah for hosting us.

    Nicola2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Before staying at Sarah’s I’d read previous reviews and someone had said that the pictures don’t do it justice. I totally agree. It’s much more spacious than I was expecting and really felt like a home from home. The bed was so comfy and it was lovely and quiet and clean. Location was great, just a 15 minute walk to the pier and Hill Rd from the top of Clevedon. Sarah was a brilliant host. We’d definitely stay again.

  • Sarah's place is fabulous! My partner and I were staying there to attend a wedding nearby. The place is cosy, warm, spotlessly clean and super comfy - I had the best night's sleep. Check-in was really easy and we had a great chat with Sarah when she stopped by to say hello with some great local tips. If we need to stay in the area again I will not hesitate to return.

Our place is a short walk from the beach, and within 2 minutes stroll of family-friendly activities, great views, restaurants and dining and all amenities. You’ll love my place because of the outdoors space, the comfy bed, the ambiance, the light, the animals and our relaxed and convivial household.. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, and families (with kids).

  • Litzy is a true super host. From first contact through the end of your stay, she makes you feel welcome and well taken care of. I spent a week with her and felt immediately like I was part of the family. She went out of her way to help me with some stuff I needed during my stay, like organizing a bike for me to get to the school I was attending. Wow! The room is nice and quiet and has everything you need, especially the en-suite bathroom is very convenient. The apartment is in a great location in Clevedon and most things are in walking distance. I really enjoyed my stay and look forward to staying with Lizzy again!

    Kay2019-09-20T00:00:00Z

  • Can't fault anything! From the moment of booking my stay the communication from Kelvin was first class. Perfect little getaway , minutes walk from the sea and coastal path which was just what we wanted. The complimentary extras such as milk, bread, fruit and cereals were so nice , really thoughtful... little touches like this make a big difference. Spotlessly clean and comfortable. There isn't a single thing I could say that isn't positive, even the great British weather didn't spoil it!! Would definitely recommend. Thank you Kelvin and Alex.

You did not disappoint! 5 stars!

  • Enjoyed our stay in the garden room. Jayne checked us in and went through in detail everything she had cleaned and sanitised and made us touch handles and keys when showing us around which I thought was a very sensible and necessary thing to do during the Covid-19 situation - certainly gave us confidence that we were safe staying there.

Take a photo tour around Pier View - this lovely 2-bedroom, 2-bath/shower-room apartment in a Victorian house built about 1880 in Clevedon’s seaside Conservation Area. The apartment is offered on a 7-day full week basis, with changeover on Friday; and also on 3-days weekend, plus 4-days weekday basis with changeovers on Friday and Monday (3 nights minimum). Please enter dates and group details for availability and exact prices. Do ask if you have any questions, we try to reply quickly.
The Corona virus is a current cause for concern. We use a professional cleaning company who after each stay have two staff working for 3-person hours to provide a complete hygienic clean. They remove all used linen and clean all surfaces using anti-microbial detergents. They wet clean floors and vacuum clean all carpets. They provide fresh linen which has been professionally laundered at high temperature and steam pressed by Johnson’s cleaners. The apartment has been recently renovated and features classic high ceilings, beautiful coving, and period features such as (restored) sash windows that slide effortlessly (but provide complete, cosy draught-proofing). It is equipped with modern amenities: large screen HD TV, DVD player, FREE Wifi, full central heating and hot water, thermostatic radiators in all rooms, modern bathroom fittings and facilities, dishwasher, washing machine, double oven cooker, and halogen hob, microwave cooker, etc. There is also an included private, off-street, reserved parking space in the car-park directly behind the house, invaluable at busy times. The reserved space has marker posts to ensure that the whole space is available: length: 5.5m (18ft), width (9ft 10in), with lots of space to open doors; large enough for practically all cars. Of course Pier View also has a great view of Clevedon’s beautiful Victorian Pier, the UK’s only Grade 1 listed Pier, now complete with its new (2016) Heritage Centre and Museum. The apartment is a 2 minute walk from The Beach and the Pier.
Great coastal walks both north and south are accessible straight from the front door. Clevedon's original 'Beach' area has lovely Victorian buildings, beautiful coves, the Marine Lake and the UK’s only Grade1 listed Pier and recently refurbished with cafe and museum, about 200m from Pier View. It has excellent and varied set of cafes and restaurants all accessible nearby within a short walk. The newer centre of Clevedon, near the M5, has Asda, Aldi, Lidl, and a large Tesco supermarket with petrol station. Nearby Bristol, with its fantastic attractions: the ‘Floating Harbour’ with its iconic ferries, Isambard Brunel’s “SS Great Britain”, the Bristol Science Museum, Aquarium and Bristol Zoo Gardens.
  • Excellent position, very clean, excellent communications

  • The location of the flat is up & then downhill from number 37 Victoria Rd! Do read & follow Ben & Rebecca’s suggested route! The sea view is via side pane of large of bay window & easy side-walks & fab cafes are only 2-5 mins walk. The apt is spotlessly clean with fresh decor & is very well equipped throughout. All rooms are relatively large, comfortable, very well heated, lit & appointed. Ben & Rebecca were very helpful through my booking process & have provided an excellent Handbook & lots of information about Clevedon & a wide area around.

  • My wife and I booked the stay at Wheel cottage at fairly short notice, for a weekend break for my Birthday. We were greeted by Paul & Jackie very soon after our arrival, who were lovely and friendly. It was very easy to find with the instructions given. The cottage had a very comfortable layout with every possible requirement catered for. Milk in the fridge, coffee tea, biscuits, etc. Lovely double bed, both my wife and I slept very well. Very quiet area, but with in easy reach of Clevedon, Portishead, Clifton, etc. Clevedon had loads of supermarkets and amenities. Loved visiting Clevedon’s restored Victorian pier. Had a very enjoyable stay at the cottage, a complete rest for us both. We will know where to stay the next time we visit the area. Thank you Paul & Jackie

  • Wheel Cottage is a fantastic wee spot which was perfect for the time I spent down near Clevedon attending Bristol Ground School. Jackie and Paul were outstanding hosts, making sure I had everything I needed and regularly cheking in to make sure everything was okay. I can't thank them enough for all their help. If you're lucky enough to try a slice of Jackie's lemon drizzle cake, you won't be disappointed, it's incredible! The cottage itself was spotless and is a great space to unwind, but also a good space to work in if you need to. The house is located 4 minutes drive away from BGS and is also just on the outskirts of Clevedon, so it's nice and quiet, but also really close to the shops, supermarkets etc, which made it the perfect base. I fully recommend staying at Wheel Cottage and I'll certainly be back to stay in the future.

Beach Room is a double room with private en-suite, equipped with all you'll need to stay in comfort and get a great night's sleep. We’re in a quiet, safe, residential area 2 miles from Portishead town centre. Your bedroom looks onto the Severn Estuary, right by the beaches and coastal path of the Portishead to Clevedon footpath. The area has a great range of amenities with easy access to the M5, Wales, Somerset and Bristol. We love it & hope you enjoy exploring it from your base here with us.
We've tried to make your room comfortable with all the amenities you might need, whether staying for a short break or just passing through. Our decor has a seaside theme, not surprising given our great view of the river Severn estuary/Bristol Channel, which you can see from your room. We're in a lovely, quiet, safe neighbourhood, a stone's throw from the beach and coastal path, just a couple of miles from the town centre with its shops, boating marina, cafes, bars and restaurants, sporting activities and lake grounds. Lots to do locally for all ages and interests. Very easy access to major roads and the M5 motorway, Bristol, South Wales, the Midlands, London, and the South West, etc.
Redcliffe Bay looks out over the Severn Estuary with its busy shipping lanes and the 2nd highest tidal range in the world. The changing colours of the water, the light and sunsets, and sound of waves breaking on the beach are just magical. Just a few minutes' walk away is a pebbley beach and the footpath of the Portishead to Clevedon coastal path, which winds through woodland, past lighthouses, a disused golf course and piers. Portishead and nearby town Clevedon have a vibrant community spirit, a great range of amenities, lots to see and do, and easily accessible by road.
  • Rachel and Brett's airbnb has everything you need. You get your own entrance to your private room and ensuite, sea view as stated. It's the little things that make it special. A good getaway from the hustle and bustle of Bristol and relaxation is probably the best way to describe this place. If you're lucky you'll get a visit from the house cat! Highly reccomend

  • what an honour to be of the first few people to stay here. me and a friend spent two nights here over this past weekend and it is just absolutely lovely. rachel and brett have thought of literally everything. it is a hotel quality airbnb once you’re in the room. the bed is unbelievably comfortable, the bathroom is gorgeous (the shower is lovely), and there are little touches that seem to just keep coming. i wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. thank you so much for having us rachel and brett x

The cottage is well sized and full of all amenities. The view is perfect and the town is beautiful. If you are travelling near Bristol area, I'd recommend this place.

Our house is close to Clevedon sea front and there are plenty of pubs and cafes nearby. We are in a quiet residential area close to bus stops and with street parking outside. We have this small double room and a single room (separate listing). They are on the first floor and share their own bathroom. We also have a double ensuite room on the ground floor (separate listing) All guests have access to the kitchen on the ground floor and the back garden.
We are very close to the promenade which leads past the Marine Lake and on to the pier. We are 5 minutes walk from Clevedon Hall, 10 minutes to the town centre and 15 minutes to Bristol Ground School. Bristol Airport is around 30 minutes away and we are ten minutes from Yatton train station which is on the main line from Bristol.
The immediate neighbourhood is residential and quiet with plenty of free on street parking. We're a ten minute walk from the sea front, Marine Lake and, Poets Walk, so plenty of opportunity for walks or swimming if you're brave. We're also ideally situated for Clevedon Hall, a popular wedding venue which is less than 10 minutes walk away and off course Clevedon Pier. We are not far from Hill Road with it's various independent shops and we have a growing selection of shops offering alternatives to the supermarkets which we try and take advantage of. We are also a five minute walk away from the local leisure centre. We're popular with Bristol Ground School students as we are around a fifteen minute walk from the venue.
  • This was a gem of an Airbnb - A very stylish, beautiful and comfortable house, welcoming hosts, and a quiet location close to the seafront. Excellent value for money, and we shall definitely be looking to book up again!

  • Charles and his lovely wife Bernie made me feel so welcome in their beautiful home - first class hospitality. The room is stylish, warm and cosy; with TV and tea-making facilities it was a perfect retreat from the storm outside. I loved the coastal walks easily accessible from the cottage and Bernie was really helpful with local tips for these. Charles’ breakfast, with homemade preserves and honey - and copious coffee - was the perfect way to start my days. Thank you once again, I’m sure I’ll be back!

  • Stayed at Charles's cottage for two night while exploring coastal walks to Clevedon. The room and facilities were excellent. Lovely sparkling clean cottage, off the main road with lovely views of the countryside from the bathroom window. Nice deep bath with shower head. Tea/coffee in room with fresh milk. Fresh and adequate breakfast - loved the coffee and honey. We took their advice on restaurants and tried. Windmill pub - 5 min drive, has lovely views . Overall - lovely stay . Thank you

My own bathroom, much appreciated, with the opportunity of luxuriating in a free-standing, claw-footed bath overlooking green pastures with plenty of butterflies and droning bees for company. Highly recommended

  • We stayed in the Grange over New Year and it was the perfect cosy place to see out the old year and in with the new! You can really feel the history of the place, as it is where they used to make and store the cheese and still has some original shelving. But beautifully converted and really warm thanks to the air sourced heat pump. Lynda was a great host and even left is flapjacks warm from the oven! Great location for hiking and biking in the Mendips, and close to Bristol too. Would definitely come back here.

We offer a single/twin room in our beautiful Georgian home in the attractive town of Clevedon, 30 minutes from Bristol airport and city centre. It is 2 minutes walk to great restaurants, bars, boutique shops and just 5 minutes from the beach and historic pier. Views from the house are breath-taking, with Wales and Devon visible on a clear day. The rail station at Yatton is 10 minutes away, giving you access to Bristol, Bath, Exeter and the South West of the UK.
We offer a warm and comfortable room on the ground floor with its onw bathroom. Listed elsewhere we have an additional double room, creating space for families by booking both rooms. There is also a separate listing for occasions when the whole house can be made available, as a weekly let only, for your exclusive use, providing 2 double rooms (one with ensuite), a twin room and a futon with en-suite. This means it can accommodate 6-7 people. Please ask us about this. When booked on this basis, we will move out and go on holiday somewhere! Please note that the price for a whole house booking will be about 40% higher than the quoted weekly price.
You won't find a nicer neighbourhood where so many nice shops, bars and places to visit are within literally 2 minutes walk. Plus, our road is regularly on TV. It featured as the High Street in the UK TV Police drama 'Broadchurch'!

  • We stayed one night. Everything was fine. Howard didn't mind us turning up wet and muddy from our mountain bike ride. Kitchen and bathroom were available for our use. Great location. Definitely recommended. Parking close by was a bit tricky (a Friday evening) so we had to drive around looking for a spot on the street.

Mal and Trish welcome you to Nursery Cottage for a smooth start to your holiday, business trip or sightseeing in the area. We offer a private lounge, double bedroom and en-suite facilities. A continental breakfast can be provided at a small extra charge if required. For families we have the option to provide a double futon for children. There is a private entrance to your accommodation and a bench and table outside for sunny days. We also offer Bristol airport parking and transfers.
In your suite we provide tea and coffee facilities. There is a well stocked local shop 40 yards away if you need to purchase food or other items. There is crockery and cutlery provided for your use. Our transfer to Bristol airport is 13 minutes and if you wish to use this service there is an additional charge for leaving your vehicle in a secure area with electric gates. We are located in a beautiful area in close proximity to Burrington Coombe, the Mendip hills, the City of Wells, Cheddar Gorge, Chew Valley Lake, National Trust Tyntesfield and Clevedon Court and many attractions that the City of Bristol offers. Located within a 6 minute walk from Nursery Cottage is ‘The Railway Inn’ , Thatcher’s cider public house, with good food and a warm welcome. Tours of the cider factory are available. There is also a ‘Cider Shop’ close by selling a selection of special edition bottled cider and locally sourced cheeses and preserves. Great for presents. Secure storage is available for bicycles if you want to explore the local area. The guest accommodation is no smoking, ground floor and unfortunately not suitable for pets. We are also offering art classes in a range of mediums, including water colours acrylics and oils, which would suit all levels. You might want to think about this as a gift for a birthday or to develop your own skills. These courses are run by a fully qualified art professional with a passion for creativity.
We are aiming to provide an enjoyable stay for sightseeing or airport convenience. The village is in an area of local beauty and close to the Victorian seaside towns of Weston-Super-Mare, 4 miles, and Clevedon, 6 miles and is on the Somerset levels. There are enjoyable promenades, shops and piers to explore in both seaside towns as well many historic sights. There are some really special places to dine out, which would require booking in advance, such as Yeo Valley Canteen, The Pony and Trap (Michelin *), The Ethicurean which is a walled garden restaurant as recommended in The Guardian and SundayTimes. Bath, Frome, Glastonbury and Street are within easy reach.
  • Highly recommend

  • What a memorable stay for my partner’s birthday ! Great communication with the host and lots of information given about the local area. The room was very clean with lovely personal touches like water, coffee, tea and cookies! They had even put a happy birthday banner up for my partner’s birthday. Perfect little cottage weekend getaway! Will defiantly be returning !

  • Nursery Cottage is the perfect place to stay - very near Bristol airport and very much closer to Thatcher Cider's brewery pub (a huge range of Cider's and a very nice restaurant). The accommodation is tastefully furnished and spotlessly clean. There were a number of quite unexpectedly pleasant touches, cold milk, white wine and yoghurt in a tiny fridge and red wine and a well supplied breakfast hamper nicely presented in the living room. The bedroom was also well furnished with hanging space and a very comfortable bed and it adjoined an ensuit bathroom that, again, was spotlessly clean. Malarie and Trish were really friendly and welcoming. We could not have asked for more from their warm hospitality.

  • a lovely clean tidy, warm, snug perfect place to stay.

    Sheila2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • all you could ask for and more, absolutely wonderful place, just as pictured, perfect for our needs, the apartment is very lovely and homely, beautifully decorated and very clean...we also took full advantage of the airport parking and transfer, which is a fantastic idea, it really helped us a lot, Trish was always so very helpful and happy, it really made the start and ending to our holiday a pleasant experience. we would definitely use again and recommend.

    Robyn2019-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • Had such a lovely stay! The house was beautifully clean and perfect for me. I went for a nice weekend getaway from London and I felt so at home. Trish greeted me every morning and evening and gave me the best tips and advice for where to go and sights to see. As for the house that was all I could have asked for, wine and milk being topped up every day, cookies, teas and coffees till your heart is content. If you’re thinking of staying here just do it! You will not regret it. As for the surrounding area, Glastonbury and cheddar gorge/wookey hole are all close by and must sees. Thanks again Trish and Mal x x x x x

  • Malcom was a lovely host - laid back, friendly, happy chappie! He let us check in early and the room itself was perfect for us; lovely comfy bed, nice clean en suite, TV and fridge. The location was brilliant; bus stop right outside and a great pub right next door. All very picturesque! Note; if you really hate smoking this place may not be for you. The room itself was fresh and smoke-free, but the rest of the house wasn’t. Was not a problem for us, but may be for others!
