Places to stay in Collingbourne Ducis

Places to stay in Collingbourne Ducis
My house is situated on a quite estate in the village of Ludgershall - Not a beautiful chocolate box village, but it is a convenient place to stay especially if you are not a fan of narrow winding lanes! However country lanes are but a stones throw away to lead you to some very pretty villages. I would describe my home as open to all who want a country break without being in the middle of nowhere or a Monday to Friday resting place with easy access to Tidworth, Perham Down or Andover.
The bedroom is on the first floor and there is a bathroom on the same floor for sole use of guests - I have a double room also The room has a 3ft bed and is north facing but still quite light, comfortable and adequately furnished, There is no television in this room, however there is an excellent Wifi connection so no problem watching programmes on a laptop/tablet/phone Towels are provided
My house is at the end of a cul-de-sac next to farmland with a footpath right behind the fence and woods just a few minutes away with options for short or long walks. Ludgershall has a church, two pubs, a Chinese restaurant, an Indian restaurant, a couple of take-aways and two supermarkets. It is 8 miles from the market town of Andover which has several restaurants, pubs and a cinema. The historic cities of Winchester and Salisbury are 45mins and 30mins drive respectively from Ludgershall and the charming towns of Marlborough, Stockbridge and Hungerford are about a 30mins drive away. The World Heritage Site of Stonehenge is approx 15 miles from the house and the Neolithic Avebury stone circles are 16 miles away. Further afield are Southampton, Portsmouth, The New Forest and the Isle of Wight
  • Feeling like home, great! Ludgershall, a very quiet place, not far from Stonehenge, Winchester, Salisbury. Sarah ’s house is located in a clean residential area. It is a five-minute walk to Tesco and Coop, and a 7-8 minute to fish and chips shops and restaurants. There are many green areas around it, which is ideal for walking and jogging. Single room, the bed is very comfortable, and there is a closet sofa desk, all organs. The bathroom is shared with other rooms, large and clean, and hot water is sufficient. Sarah, super super good, special period, accept my booking until I leave the UK. Super super recommended! Just feel at Home! Sarah, super nice host, accept me during the such special period, keep me feel so warmly just like home. Ludgershall, a very peaceful place with two supermarkets and 4 restaurants with stone away to Sarah's home, near to Stonehenge Salisbury and Winchester, quite good for rest or sightseeing nearby. Located in the corner of quite living area, surrounded by tons of fields, perfect for walk and jogging. Single room with comfy bed, sofa and big wall cabinet, pretty enough for solo traveler. The big shared bathroom, sunny and powerful water. Definitely highly recommend!

A newly built, light and airy detached en-suite room above a double garage, with its own private entrance, in the grounds of our period thatched cottage. In a charming village, and our own one acre mature garden, the room has its own private elevated deck with a table and chairs. There is also access to the garden and other seating areas and summer house. There is a super delicatessen close by. There are 2 pubs approx 10 min walk, and another in next village about 2 miles away.
The room has a new deluxe king size bed. Also provided tea, coffee and toast making facilities. NB. There are several outside stone steps up to the room, with handrails on both sides.
A stunning rural location with lovely walks, great cycling from the house and surrounding area. Equine facilities including a quaint horse and carriage ride are available close by. Savernake Forest & the Kennet & Avon canal are a short drive away, also Crofton Beam Engines, Wilton Windmill & Waitrose cafe & garden centre near Stockbridge.

  • We wanted a place to stay as we were visiting my brother inlaw and family. The annex far exceeded our expectations, Cara was very pleasant and helpful, she had went ahead to have the heating on as we were travelling with 3 kids all under 5 the youngest being a month old. When we arrived it was cosy and warm and my children enjoyed the space (it had both darts and a billiard table) we didn’t get to use. Also some kids toys and books which was very helpful to keeping my kids entertained through our weekend stay. And then to have WiFi and the choice to choose any movie from Netflix was superb. I had read from previous reviews about the no cooker at the annex so decided to take an electric portable frying pan and my rice cooker to cook our meals. My children then had a play time outside as the weather cleared abit (trampoline, sandpit, swings and much more) To visit in Summer would be great for my kids with the joys of just to run around outside and play. All in all for the price I thought it was fairly priced but could have cost more for such a beautiful annex. Thank you Cara for a wonderful stay we will certainly be back when in the area.

Kim & Frances live in the Vale of Pewsey in Wiltshire. The ancient monuments of Stonehenge and Avebury are close by as well as the Kennet and Avon Canal. Also the lovely market towns of Marlborough and Devizes. We are in the heart of "Crop Circle" country. Kim has been a pilot all his life, starting in the Royal Navy and finishing as a B747 Captain. Frances has been a Midwife and now works for Citizens Advice.
Our House is one of the oldest in the village of Easton Royal and is believed to date back to the 14th Century. It has been extensively refurbished and modernised to provide a comfortable and welcoming home - but retaining the unique medieval characteristics.
The village is in an "Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty" with an excellent local pub 2 miles away.
  • Kim and Frances are very welcoming and friendly. We spent a lovely time in their beautiful and quiet cottage. Very good place to explore the area from, walking and by car. Recommendable!

Top quality toiletries provided. All very clean and tidy. A light breakfast and a selection of teas/coffee is provided for the morning. Very friendly hosts too.

  • Kim and Francis made me welcome from when I arrived. it was very relaxed and a lovely setting. the room was big and immaculately set out. The bed was very comfortable. • We arrived on the hottest day on our bikes and were instantly welcomed with iced water and a cup of tea. Kim and Frances were the perfect hosts, we loved chatting with them. The house is full of character, we found all the old beams fascinating. Our room was more like a guest suite. It was very very spacious, very stylish and spotlessly clean. Tea/coffee/ biscuits were provided, and toast and jam for breakfast. Definitely recommended, we would love to return.

The famous stone circles of Stonehenge and Avebury are within easy reach. Longleat Safari Park, Stourhead, Bowood House and Gardens, Highclere Castle, the cathedral city of Salisbury, and the beautiful Roman spa city of Bath are easily accessible and waiting to be explored. Just slightly further afield, days out can include trips to Bristol, Cirencester and Oxford, all offering a perfect mix of culture and retail therapy! Alternatively just enjoy the peaceful villages, cream teas and spectacular views!

There are plenty of options for visitors, ranging from the local Hawk Conservancy shows to fishing on the famous chalk rivers of Hampshire & Wiltshire, along with shopping & sightseeing at the historic city of Salisbury and market town of Marlborough. Winchester is just 30 minutes drive away for more shopping and sightseeing opportunities.

The apartment was perfectly clean and we had everything we needed. We only met Jock who was very kind and attentive to our needs. We would definitely recommend the Annex!

Welcome to our self-contained annex. The Dog House has been recently refurbished. The house is surrounded by beautiful Hampshire countryside, with convenient access to the A303. Close proximity to the Cathedral cities of Winchester and Salisbury, make it an ideal location to explore from. Help yourself continental breakfast included.
We are surrounded by a working farm so some agricultural sounds may be heard. We have chickens, dogs and night owls who occasionally make some noise.
Andover is our nearest shopping town. The cathedral cities of Winchester and Salisbury are less than half an hour away. Stonehenge is 20 minutes away. The Hawk Conservancy is in Amport.
  • Another repeat stay - all good. Great to stay in the countryside - really quiet and peaceful. Place is comfortable with everything you need. Thanks again.

  • Doon's place was so peaceful and quiet. We were greeted on arrival and felt at home straight away. The annex was spotless and full of so many extra touches. The bed was incredible! We were only there one night which was a shame as it would of been great to stay longer. Hopefully we'll be back again! :)

  • Just finished a wonderful stay in The Dog House. It is a beautiful location and a shame I had to go to work whilst there. The annex is beautiful, well thought out and amazing attention to detail, including toiletries, hot water bottle and a variety of cooking amenities. The breakfast supplies, drinks and wonderful local bakery bread was so welcoming and especially so after a long days drive and time in the office.

  • Great house. Very spacious with plenty of rooms to accommodate our extended family. We had the whole house to ourselves and the little chocolates on our pillows when we arrived was a lovely touch. Liz was very welcoming in her communications and although she was away, Liz answered any questions we had very promptly.

  • A lovely spacious home to spend time in with our family. We loved the kitchen and the garden and the large living room was such a great space to relax in together. We had everything we needed and the house was clean and tidy and our host was very kind and friendly. The hamlet is very pretty and there are some lovely walks right on the doorstep. We found plenty to do within easy distances of the house. We would recommend Finkley Farm for anyone with children. We would definitely consider another stay sometime.

  • We loved our time at Victoria's place - even with the rainy weather, we could appreciate the beautiful countryside. The apartment is lovely and we enjoyed being close to so many great destinations. We especially enjoyed our dinners at The Swan and The Palm - both great recommendations from Victoria. Would definitely stay again if we are ever back in this area.

  • We enjoyed every minute of our stay here. It’s tucked away down a country lane which means it’s very peaceful and beautiful. Victoria came out to greet us when we parked in the drive and showed us around. The place is perfect. We were there to celebrate our anniversary. There is ample space inside with a beautiful, bright living room/diner with fridge, toaster, kettle, coffee machine. French doors open out onto a patio with a view across the fields and afternoon sun. The bedroom is a great size and the bed is super comfy. The bathroom is spacious with a large, rainfall shower. All of the decor was really tasteful. There were lovely little touches such as cushions for the patio chairs, a cosy blanket for the sofa/outside. Extra bedding if needed. Not to mention the fudge, fresh bread, jam, orange juice, milk, yoghurt and cereal. We were lucky enough to make use of the pool which was simply lovely. It was the perfect temperature, the sun loungers were very comfy and the view was beautiful with lavender bushes surrounding the pool. I couldn’t recommend this place enough. Victoria’s hospitality was spot on and the place is very good value. We will be back!

  • A fabulous place to unwind and relax, brilliantly equipped with great use of space available. Stylishly decorated and felt very clean and well looked after. Convenient parking and lovely patio to sit out on and enjoy the sunshine. Didn't use the pool, but really wished we had had more time as it looked gorgeous! Generally very impressed and would highly recommend Victoria's beautiful place.

Bright, airy timber-beamed room with adjacent private bathroom at this award-winning barn conversion, set in three acres of wildflower meadows, trees and woodland. South Park Farm Barn is the family home of hosts, Casie and Ian. Price includes full breakfast. This is one of 2 suites available in the Barn. Guest review scores are 9.8/10 or at least 4.95/5 on all the major online travel sites. For availability of the other suite check out: https://www.airbnb.co.uk/rooms/23299734
The Downland is a spacious double bedroom with its own private bathroom adjacent to it, and a separate sitting area. Travertine-lined with that luxury feel, the bathroom has a waterfall shower, full length bath, heated towel rail and underfloor heating. Plump pillows, duvets to suit the season and crisp cotton linen adorn a comfortable king-sized bed with the aim of ensuring a good night’s slumber. A large TV screen with access to an extensive Sky TV package viewed from comfortable chairs add that essential entertainment touch. Downland offers views out onto the woodland and over the surrounding rolling farmland. We will be pleased to welcome you to our remarkable home that is South Park Farm Barn. Dating from the early nineteenth century and named for the southern hunting park belonging to the long ruined and one-time Ludgershall Castle, the Barn was once the ‘out-farm’ barn of a long disappeared farm of the same name. The Barn nestles in its own stand of oak trees and surrounding woodland, with the 800-year old southern boundary of the old hunting park still visible as it crosses our land. A derelict ruin as recently as 2016, Ian and Casie have lovingly converted the Barn into a modern, hi-tech and well-appointed dwelling. In the process we have restored the timber frame, giving it pride of place and making the frame visible, in your room and throughout the building. This is both a building of character and a home for guests to enjoy for a weekend or longer. Guests love the peace and tranquility of the Barn.
  • Really enjoyed our stay, such a beautiful barn and location. Room was lovely, breakfast delicious and fabulous hosts.

    Alice2019-06-08T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful place, very clean. Beds are amazing! Ian and Casie were extremely accomodating to us in many ways including rectifying an error on my part when booking the room. Would stay again not only for the impressive quality of the barn, but for the fact Ian and Casie went above and beyond to help us. Cheers!

    Liam2019-04-17T00:00:00Z
  • Ian & Casie’s home is absolutely wonderful. You won’t go wrong with their home. From the very comfortable bed to the large bathroom, great breakfast with “real” coffee. Ian is a master with local knowledge and can recommend you the best places to go. I hope to stay here again in the future.

    Bradley2019-04-14T00:00:00Z
  • It was a pleasure to stay at Ian and Casie's beautiful converted barn! the space is stunning with lots of lovely thoughtful touches eg bath robe. I slept very well in the peaceful location. I only stayed for one night for a work visit but this would be perfect place to stay for a weekend to explore the area and the ancient landscape.

    Carlene2018-12-03T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely home in a great location. Will certainly stay again

    Christopher2018-11-15T00:00:00Z
  • Had a very brief stay at Ian & Casie's lovely barn, as had been attending a local 2 day event, so arrived at bedtime & left after an early breakfast. Had a very warm welcome, to their beautifully appointed barn conversion. Both bedroom & bathroom (not en-suite, but for private use across the corridor) very comfortable and clean. My only moan is that both myself and my fellow traveller had both asked for 'Scrambled Eggs' for breakfast, the night before when asked for out breakfast requests. However in the morning Casie told us we were having 'Poached eggs', not sure why we couldn't have Scrambled Eggs??

    Stella2018-09-26T00:00:00Z
  • Ian & Casie are very friendly and hospitable! Furthermore, their "barn" is very nice and extremely clean! It is an ideal base for a visit to Stonehenge!

400 year old thatched cottage. Low beams and the guest room has a VERY low door. We have three dogs and a cat. The dogs are all friendly, young one is timid and may bark on arrival. PLEASE DO NOT BOOK IF YOU DO NOT LIKE DOGS! We are a B&B listing so although we do not mind a late mornings, we do expect people to go out in the afternoon if booked for more than one night. King bed or two single. Our animals are not allowed in guest room. Stonehendge 12 miles.
Breakfast is cereal or toast, jams, fruit unless you enquire for different. Breakfast is self service. We can shut the dogs out of the eating area. There is parking on the drive, please park as near to gate as possible. I have to get my car out and I cannot turn until passed the garage posts. Thanks
Quiet no through road, leading to farm track. Tractors do go up and down. Neighbours all around but big gardens between.

Shared bathroom on the landing was also clean and shower was good. Sarah was kind and let me use her stove to cook porridge for breakfast and an evening meal. I had very nice and interesting conversations with Sarah, the house is always quiet, I had a very good three weeks of rest. Staying at Sarah’s home definitely made my trip more interesting and easy, i hope I’ll have chance to visit again.

  • Kate’s hut is a perfect escape and it was a sensational stay over New Years. The hut was cosy, comfortable and with lots of little treats! Kate was super friendly and helpful! Next time we’ll have to try the swimming pool.

    Alice2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Kate’s Tropical Hut is a mini home from home! Very clean and tastefully furnished, and it even has a full oven unlike a lot of little huts. We didn’t meet Kate until we were leaving, however she was friendly, funny and a great host. It wasn’t too hot at night in the hut with a window open, and we didn’t use the swimming pool due to time restraints, but it’s a great extra. Definitely stay more than one night, as you will need at least two to eat all the wonderful fruit and treats you will discover inside!

  • Kate was a fantastic host and the place was perfect for a cosy weekend away in a lovely area! Delicious breakfast and great pool

    Lewis2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • Very tidy and well equipped hut. The bed was lovely and comfortable. The food left was a nice touch. Also the swimming pool looked great but I had no time to try it. Kate is a great host, quick to respond to messages before the stay and during the stay. When I next back in the area I plan to stay here again

    Samantha2019-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • Kate was very quick to respond to my initial queries and very informative! The Orchard was beautiful and perfect for a couple. The pool was such a luxury and we thoroughly enjoyed going between the sun beds and the pool in the sun. Kate had very kindly provided tea, coffee, breakfast, snacks and treats! Will definitely be staying here again if we are in the area and highly recommend to anyone! Thanks again Kate :)

  • Beautiful little shepherd's hut, perfect for a countryside getaway! 20min drive to Stonehenge (we came for the solstice). Kate is a great host, very friendly and helpful. The hut was beyond our expectations, it even has a coffee machine! Super comfy bed. Kate stocked the fridge up with lots of cute goodies which was a welcome surprise. 10 out of 10 - thanks Kate, we will be back!

    Tamar2019-06-22T00:00:00Z
  • Had another great stay at Kate's! Very comfortable bed, great location and has everything you need. Really appreciate the small touches like checking which breakfast items prefer and kindly offering pain killers when I was unwell!

  • A very clean and spacious property. We rented the whole property, but it was also clear that this would be an exceptional B&B. I would highly recommend this property.

  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful manor and particularly enjoyed relaxing in the large courtyard area in the sunshine. Sally was a very welcoming and helpful host and would thoroughly recommend staying at this lovely house!

    Frances2019-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • A great place. Ten smart, well-equipped, en-suite rooms in a beautiful building. Everything you could want in a kitchen and dining room. Large patio, plenty of chairs, excellent gas barbecue. Easy to find, set in beautiful grounds, surrounded by lovely countryside. Easily recommended.

    Steven2019-06-23T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fantastic weekend at the West Wing. Sally was very helpful and communication was excellent. Sally accommodated all of our special requests and helped us to find a caterer. The venue was even better than we expected, and we were lucky enough to have beautiful weather in which to enjoy the patio and grounds.

    Katy2019-05-12T00:00:00Z
  • We spent a truly wonderful long weekend celebrating New Year with friends and family in this beautiful location. Sally was helpful and attentive, answering any questions we had without delay. The bedrooms were clean and comfortable, the kitchen well-stocked and the huge dining room table a fabulous place to share meals, play games and create new memories together. It is worth mentioning that we had wrongly assumed from the photos that the ‘lounges’ were bigger and able to accommodate more of us together when relaxing. Having said this, it did not take away from our enjoyment this weekend.

    Tineke2019-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • A great place for a get together with friends, we booked self catering but the fact it has a B&B setup other times meant all the rooms were of the same high standard, all had TVs and en suites so it was easy to cope with kids having different bathtime/bedtime routines. Also plenty of kitchen equipment and great outdoor space.

  • Tor’s place is absolutely beautiful! We had a wonderful stay at Duck Cottage and met the friendly pigs, chickens and horses. My toddler loved feeding them! The cottage was immaculate, cosy and had some lovely warm touches- including eggs from their hens and breakfast provided. The cottage is set away from the house and we loved having the freedom, space and privacy to come and go as we please, without feeling like we were disrupting anyone. We ate at the three tuns which did great food and visited Marlborough, HungerFord and Copps farm which was great for our son. Will definitely visit again and can’t recommend enough for anyone wanting a quiet, rural retreat.

    Emily2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely cottage in superb surroundings. Very light space. Extremely comfortable bed. Thank you Tor’s. Highly recommend.

  • We had a wonderful weekend stay at Ducks Cottage and are already planning our next visit! The continental breakfast was a lovely touch and we enjoyed cooking it whilst looking at the horses and pigs - something you don’t get in your normal every day routine. It was the perfect retreat for a relaxing trip. There were brilliant recommendations - we did the circular walk from the cottage (braved Storm Dennis!) and headed to the Three Tuns for a delicious dinner. It’s so helpful to have tips and tricks of the area! We would definitely recommend this lovely cottage. Thank you Tors.

  • Had a gorgeous weekend stay at Duck Cottage. The home was beautiful and cosy. The neighbouring animals were wonderful, cuddles with the two pigs and horses were a huge bonus :) Looking forward to returning. Thank you xxx

  • The Duck Cottage has everything you may need and more! Tors has created a truly wonderful place with a personal touch, in one of the most peaceful surroundings. There are ducks, horses and pigs in the farm and you can truly connect with nature. The cottage is clean and Tors has provided great breakfast items, including fresh eggs. It's within short driving distance from pubs and lovely walks. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and it's highly recommended!

My cottage is in a pretty village in the middle of historic Wiltshire. It is single story, warm and comfortable and looks out onto fields. It is quiet and peaceful here with lots of good walks from the front door. There are lots of pubs nearby serving excellent food and our nearest town is Marlborough which has very good shopping.
  • Perfect for dog walkers and quiet get away. Peter made our stay extremely comfortable. A lovely cottage with beautiful scenery. We choose this venue as we were attending car fest in Laverstoke and a day trip to the new forest. We had an evening meal at the seven stars inn which we highly recommend and a takeaway from pewsey 5/10 min drive from the cottage (Chinese, kebab, pizza and Indian). Would love to return for another stay.

  • Great cottage at a lovely location. Perfect for bringing small kids as well. Nice views and great host. Would love to come back and will tell everybody to go here. Just perfect, way nicer as shown at the pictures!

    Yasmin2019-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • Great cottage, lovely walks from your doorstep, many good pubs for lunch and dinner and great to look out of your window to a field full of friendly sheep.

  • Stable Cottage is a little gem hidden away at the end of Milton Lilbourne surrounded by beautiful countryside. Really quiet and peaceful. Extremely clean. Easy access to keys. Quick comms by Peter. 5* stay!

    Rose2019-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • Firstly, we had to cancel our stay at the very last minute due to our plans being thwarted by illness. My review is based entirely on the communications before and after. In short, Peter is one of the nicest people you could possibly wish to deal with. I sincerely hope we shall be back next year to enjoy this cottage.

    David2019-06-29T00:00:00Z
  • Fabulous, peaceful spot. Loved waking up to the birds singing and sheep pottering about outside the window.

    Rachel And Adam2019-06-03T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed a short break at Stable Cottage with friends over New Year. The cottage is in a beautiful peaceful location with lots to do nearby. The accommodation itself is decorated very nicely, very well equipped and much more roomy than the photos suggest. Peter was an excellent host and came to say hello once we had arrived and settled. He was responsive and helpful at all times. We highly recommend!

    Kirsten2019-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • We have never before rented a country cottage on AirBNB and therefore we did not know what to expect. I have to say that Stable Cottage exceeded our most optimistic expectations. The cottage was considerable larger than we had expected and everything we could possibly have wanted was there. In fact there were many more extras and amenities than we anticipated. It was perfectly clean and in excellent order. We cannot recommend this cottage and its host Peter more enthusiastically.

Beautiful, 3000sq foot, child-friendly home in the middle of picturesque Amport. Stunning open-plan layout designed for modern living, decorated with a feeling of French Country Chic. A stone's throw from our famous village pub, a pretty meandering stream, quintessential village green and gorgeous rambling country walks.
Our house is perfect for a family 4 (as we are) or for entertaining up to 10 guests. Our house consists of: - Wonderful open plan kitchen, great for entertaining, which opens out onto our large terraced garden via French doors. - Open plan sitting room/playroom, which also opens out onto the garden. - Formal drawing room with wood burner. - Downstairs loo. - First floor of house containing 4 x bedrooms (one with en suite) and 1 x family bathroom. - Second floor of house (converted loft) containing 1 x double bedroom with its own shower room & sitting room.
Amport is such a beautiful village with a gorgeous little stream running throughout. We are surrounded by stunning countryside walks; there is always a feeling of peace and tranquility here. We love it. We have a wonderful village green and playground- just a couple of minutes by foot and the perfect distance for little ones to walk/bike/scoot. And we are spoiled with our fantastic pub, The Hawk, which can be accessed from our garden gate! Everyone here is happy, friendly and welcoming. All in all, a very special village.
  • We have just spend the weekend in Holy Tree house and can not recommend it enough. The house was beautiful, sparkling clean , cosy, and situated in a beautiful location. Emily ( host) was superb, extremely helpful, friendly and responsive. It was the perfect venue for us to celebrate a milestone bithday

    Kirsten2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderful house and garden in a lovely part of the world. Our children loved it - and all the toys available to use! Only comment would be that as a very tall family of 6 adults and 3 children staying there, we struggled with where 2 of the adults would sleep and 2 of us ended up crouching down somewhat in the small double in the loft room as 2 of the four larger rooms below are single beds only and one with pull out. Not really a fault of the owner as the photo does show a sloping wall on one of the doubles. Emily was a fantastic host with quick responses and helpful tips on stuff to do. Our daughters very much enjoyed their celebration.

    Natalie2019-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • We’ve just returned from a fantastic weekend away with all the family... we stayed at a beautiful home called Holly Tree House in the village of Amport just outside Andover. We would thoroughly recommend this lovely “family home”... because that’s exactly what it is... it’s Emily’s home ... and is surrounded with so many personal items... ie... photographs of her family ... children’s toys ... it’s soo homely... beautifully furnished... with some lovely personal touches!.... the garden is huge, and backs onto fields with a gate that leads to the local pub.

    Peter2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful, large house in an excellent location. We visited with 3 generations of the family from ages 2 to 80, and there was something for everyone. The house itself is very comfortable, the bedrooms spacious and everything was generally very well equipped. A seamless check in process and a lovely pub at the bottom of the garden (great food, it's a must if you stay here!). The garden was amazing. Very big with a very popular trampoline and a great play house full of toys. Highly recommended.

  • Emily was a fantastic host. We thoroughly enjoyed staying in her beautiful family home. Plenty of room and well set up for kids with an amazing garden. The countryside location was perfect with a pub less than 10 metres away from the end of the garden, and lots of great walks in the local area. Thank you again for letting us stay.

    Ranald2019-05-06T00:00:00Z
  • We all had an amazing time in Amport. The house is beautifully presented and a real family home. The kids really enjoyed the garden and the space worked really well for us as a group of 2 families of 4 and one couple. The location is fantastic in a picturesque little village with a pub literally at the end of the garden, a play park in the village and lots of local walks in the countryside. The local tips were really useful, we paddled in the brook, went on walks using the map that was left and went to Danebury Hill fort which were all great! We would thoroughly recommend a stay here.

    Anne2019-04-22T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay at Emily’s beautiful home! It’s situated in a gorgeous village with lots of walks on the doorstep and a fantastic pub! There is everything you could need at the house and Emily was amazing at responding to my many questions during the run up to our visit! We will be back!

  • We stayed at Holly Tree House for 3 nights over new year and loved our stay. The house was beautiful with a great social space for 10 of us. The bedrooms were all comfortable and of good size. Emily was a great host and we would highly recommend a stay here.

  • Pip’s hen house is marvellous. It is exactly the same as the photos shown on the web, that is sparklingly clean, spacious, nicely decorated and well-equipped. It is highly comfortable to stay in the house to spend our holiday (5 days this time). Pip is very friendly and welcoming. A true super host. Thanks for your hospitality! Will recommend to anyone looking for holiday house in the area.

  • We stayed for three nights at the Hen House and loved it. It was beautifully presented, spotlessly clean and contained all of the amenities we needed. The location was great too. Very peaceful and scenic and lots of lovely places nearby to visit. Our young son loved seeing the chickens roaming around and visiting the cows, horses and baby ducklings each morning.

    Catherine2019-05-06T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay at The Hen House (2 adults and a 2 year old). It was stylishly decorated and seriously impeccably clean. Until you have a toddler rolling around on the floors you don't tend to notice the difference between "clean" and "sparklingly clean". The Hen House was the latter. Really excellent and thoughtful touches were provided, from Nespresso capsules (including Decaff!) and a comprehensive local info/attractions folder, to delicious eggs for breakfast. Ideal for a toddler as all on one level and close to lots of farm animals to meet and a fantastic playground only 5 mins walk away. Really highly recommended.

  • The Coach House was the perfect place for our big family and friends celebration. The public rooms are spacious on a grand scale but also beautifully furnished and felt like home from home. The beds and bedrooms are large and comfortable while the kitchen is superbly appointed and capable of feeding a small army - which it did! Richard was an excellent host - whole weekend was faultless and fantastic.

  • Richard has a lovely place. Stylish and beautiful in lovely grounds. He met us at the house so we knew how everything worked. The kitchen was well stocked which was great as we were cooking for a lot of us. It's a very social space with open kitchen and large living area. This worked great as it was for a university friends reunion and the bedroom setup worked perfectly. We'd definitely return! Thanks Richard.

Our dogs and teenagers thoroughly enjoyed the holiday and we came away very relaxed. We were able to do various different walks, and visited Stonehenge, the Wilton Windmill and Wilton Water, and ate at various local pubs and cafes. All in all a great stay.

  • My son and family came over from Australia for a family wedding. The place was a perfect location for them and the accommodation was very comfortable, particularly all bedrooms having their own bath/shower room. The kids loved seeing the farm animals too. Would definitely recommend it for anyone with a large family.

  • Fabulous place to stay. Complete peace and quiet at home, but close enough to all the attractions the area has to offer. Everything you need for a stress free break, is supplied. If you are looking to explore Wiltshire, this is definitely the place to stay ..

    Mario2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • This is a real find, spotlessly clean with better amenities, cleanliness and service than I have had from most European hotels, don’t hesitate this is one of the best AirBnB properties we have stayed n, thank you for everything Pip, this was a special trip for a big birthday.

    Jonathan2019-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • Great stay and everything was spacious and well maintained

    Peter2019-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is clean, the sofas and beds are comfy. En-suite in every room is an amazing feature and one I valued a lot. Pip was friendly and welcoming. The area is gorgeous and the cottage is so quiet and peaceful. Only downfall is the WiFi isn’t very strong and cuts out regularly. But if you’re not there to work, all good! Thank you, Pip. I’ll definitely stay again.

    Amy2019-07-19T00:00:00Z
  • The Stables is the nicest AirBnB we have ever visited. Set on a farm and close to many attractions. A beautiful interior space with three en-suite bedrooms. We didn’t want to leave.

    Karen2019-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • The accommodation is first class situated on a beautiful farm. The Stables is spacious, well equipped and tastefully furnished. We enjoyed relaxing sitting outside in the sun feeding the chickens. The hosts are very friendly and welcoming. We loved staying at Manor farm and would definitely go back.

A light and spacious family house with over 3000sq ft of living space. A large garden facing onto fields. A new fitted kitchen with granite worktops and doors out to the garden, perfect for entertaining. A great place for families and groups of friends and walking distance to the pub!
The house is situated on a quiet no thru road with a riding stables at the end of the lane. The house backs onto fields, there are amazing walks direct from the house (walking maps available in the house). We love space and light so the rooms are light and airy and focused on social areas where we can gather and have fun.
Amport is a quiet Hampshire village with great access to Stone Henge, Winchester, Salisbury the South Coast and New Forest. There is a great pub in the village and some more fine dining options in the nearby villages. About a mile up the road is an amazing food and garden centre that sells local produce, has an amazing meat and cheese counter and even sell "Cook" meals if you can't be bothered to cook. There is a very good Indian restaurant 2 miles away that does a takeaway service and the Pizza companies in Andover deliver. If you are a foodie there are lots of artisan food shops in Stockbridge and about 5 miles away is the village of Leckford (the Waitrose Village) which is where a lot of the Waitrose produce is grown - they also have a great cafe and deli / shop. Just outside of Amport is the Hawk Conservancy which is a great day out and does 3 daily flying displays which are very impressive plus it has lots of other attractions. In addition to Stonehenge we have 3 or 4 medieval hill forts including Old Sarum (just outside of Salisbury) which are pretty spectacular. There are loads of great things to do and some excellent walking so just let me know what you like and I can provide you with a list.
  • Beautiful, quiet home with massive garden perfect for kids and family / friend gatherings. Good room sizes and amenities - great space for socializing.

    Katie2019-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • The house is in a beautiful small village and was perfect for our family holiday, we had 4 adults and 4 children staying but lots of family visiting at times and there was plenty of space and facilities to entertain. Every room is nicely appointed, the beds and linen all great quality and very comfy. The Kitchen has everything required to entertain and feed a bunch if hungry holiday makers. We all adored the huge garden, football pitch and fantastic views across the fields. Emma was an exemplary host with great communication and local info, clearly very proud of the house and rightly so. Cannot fault the house or Emma as host, altogether made for a very memorable and enjoyable holiday and family reunion. Ps the local pub is fantastic! S

    Steve2019-08-02T00:00:00Z
  • Emma's place is fantastic. Stayed as a group of 8 adults and there was plenty of room. The house was perfect for a long weekend away and had everything you could need. The Garden in particular was a highlight not to mention the homemade baking we had waiting for us. Would definitely recommend and consider returning.

    Ben2019-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • Emma is a wonderful host and made our stay very special. Her home is beautiful and immaculate. The beds are very comfortable and she went above and beyond to ensure we had all we needed. Lots of personal touches and kind gestures which we were very grateful for/ touched by. We would highly recommend staying here. It’s a beautiful family home with great amenities. Emma was also incredibly helpful in the lead up to pour arrival. Thank you Emma!

  • Amazing large, spacious, and stylish home located in Amport which is a beautiful countryside town. Quick drive to Andover where there are supermarkets etc, so it’s very convenient. We ate at the Hawk Inn which is walking distance and also the Fox Inn (a short drive away) which was an amazing Thai pub. Since we were there with young ones we went to Peppa Pig world which was a 40 minute drive. The house itself is perfect- we were three families with kids and it was spacious enough for all of us, each family had our own bathroom/toilet, and plenty of entertainment for kids. Also a huge kitchen which is great for preparing family meals, and a huge lovely garden - the barbecue and fire pit were a bonus! And the trampoline! I would recommend this place for families or also for a group of friends/couples. There’s a cosy living room where you can unwind and play board games as well. Emma was also lovely, we didn’t get to meet but she’s super responsive and lovely to speak to.
