The Hunter Greenhouse is a place to slow down, indulge in personal nostalgia, drink a glass (or two) of wine, and let your mind disconnect and wander. A place designed for friends and family. For good food and good conversation. There's hiking in the summer, skiing in the winter, mountain fresh air and dark, starry nights. This is a house, and you can treat it as such. But if you let go, and give in to the energy of a space created with love, this will feel like home.
Follow us on Instagram! @thehuntergreenhouse The Hunter Greenhouse is a three bed two bath 1971 flat roof A-frame located in Tannersville, NY in the heart of the Catskills - two hours north of New York City. We are minutes away from the shops and restaurants in Tannersville, as well as Hunter and Windham ski resorts. We are located on North Lake Road, one mile from North-South Lake and Kaaterskill Falls, and surrounded by some of the best hiking in the Catskills.

  • Amazing cabin!! I came with a group of 6 for a ski weekend bband couldn’t have asked for a better stay. The cabin is 15 minutes from Hunter Mountain and is perfect for cozying up after a long day in the slopes. We would definitely come back again!

  • This is a sweet spot for an upstate getaway. The house is comfortable and light filled and Danielle did a wonderful job of communicating. She provided great local recommendations but the house is special enough, you may not want to leave.

  • Had a truly wonderful and relaxing time at Danielle and Ely's place. A beautiful and comfortable home with a great layout for hanging out and kitchen for cooking nice meals in. All the bedrooms were good size and comfortable. Bathrooms clean and spacious. Great place to hang out with friends and family with lots of thoughtful touches. Can't wait to come back and experience it in the summer time!

    Heather2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • It was very special trip for me and my friends! We were 3 couples and it was just perfect for us! All the decorations are super cute, quick responses for any time we had questions, they had everything we needed, and especially the fireplace gave us such a great memory. Thank you, Danielle and Ely, for the wonderful hosting! We’ll definitely be back soon! :)

  • Beautiful, cozy cabin. We visited for a winter get-away, but definitely want to return in the spring, so we can take advantage of the outdoor space. Great location, comfortable, warm space that you really won’t want to leave.

Adorable cabin made by artist Paul Jacobsen snuggles in a queen bed and sits in the valley of a former apple orchard at Gatherwild Ranch. Not quite a tiny home, the bathrooms and kitchen are shared amenities on the property, it's a private space with just what you need. Solar lights glow inside in the evening, and the stargazing here is spectacular! Placed on 15 acres of land to roam. Pets are welcome (See below for details).
Cozy cabin is hand built and gets lots of sunlight, but is protected and has enough space for the basics. There is a small wash basin inside, drinking water, and deck chairs with a firepit outside. The queen bed has a down comforter and extra wool blankets for cool nights.
Germantown has 1 amazing market named Otto's where you can purchase all the necessities. 1 amazing restaurant named Gaskins with farm-fresh food and great cocktails. 1 liquor store & main street offering a couple of shops to peruse. 15 minutes to Hudson (all the restaurants & shopping you could desire) 15 minutes to Red Hook
  • Laura’s property is absolutely gorgeous !

    Alana2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • A thoughtful space with gorgeous views. Breweries, wineries, and hiking all a short drive away. The goats are adorable and the hosts are equal parts available to help and hands off enough to give you space to explore on your own. If you're visiting in the colder months, bring lots of layers and keep the wood stove HOT. Don't sleep on local favorites like Gaskins and Chatham winery. If you're looking for a good easy hike with great views, check out Kaaterskill. If you're looking for a more challenging hike, Indian Head is awesome.

  • Great hide out away from the city!

    Boerge2019-11-05T00:00:00Z
  • The property is gorgeous and I never wanted to leave. Got to feed the goats in the morning, take a walk around the sites, and listen to all the animals around at night. My boyfriend and I will be booking another trip back in the near future!

    Casey2019-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • The entire Gatherwild Ranch is a beautiful place in a lovely area. Laura was a wonderful host and I would definitely recommend staying in any of the accommodations on the property.

    Eli2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • The Gypsy caravan made for a unique, stunning getaway. Warm (we stayed just as fall chill had come) comfortable, and beautiful, the space has everything you need to experience the solitude and peace of camping with the comfort of home. The two trees out front offer privacy and a perfect spot for your hammock. The open air kitchen offered a great space and supplies for coffee and meals, and the ranch itself was so fun to explore. Laura checked in on us and was a delight to get to know. Germantown is peaceful but also offers great breweries, Gaskins restaurant, and Otto’s market, for all your needs. We will definitely be returning!

    Emily2019-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful location close to several breweries, wineries, and farms. We stayed in the Gypsy Caravan which was adorable as well as surprisingly comfortable and clean. The outdoor kitchen area was perfect for easy meals. We can't wait to come back.

    Jillian2019-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • My partner and I stayed here when we had a wedding to attend in Tivoli and we absolutely loved it! Such a beautiful setting and the gypsy caravan was so cozy and romantic. The only thing I’d say is it was a lot colder than we expected for the first weekend in October (in the 30s at night) so as there’s no heat (save for a log furnace which saved us) I would probably come back again in the warmer months. Besides that we loved everything, especially the outdoor kitchen and the baby goats! We’ll be back!

  • Completely fell in love with this place. I can honestly say I will be back. I loved the animals, the peacefulness and the privacy. Not crowded at all, that’s my favorite part. My husband and I came here with our dog. We cooked breakfast, barbecued for dinner and even made a fire pit. We enjoyed making s’mores by the fire and talked without noticing that the time was flying by us. My dog had an amazing time as well, there was a dog park and a nice walk that took us to an amazing waterfall. Can’t wait to return!

    Vanessa2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Great place, super clean, amazing views!, heating in Vista was amazing even during the mini snow storm. Pro tip:Ask for "dog towels" to clean the floors if it's rainy or snowy.

  • From the moment we arrived Melissa took care of my girlfriend and I needs. Our train was delayed and we arrived later than expected but Melissa was very understanding and helpful. We didn't know what to expect once we arrived. But everything was laid out perfectly. Melissa gave us a tour of the grounds and helped us get set up in our cabin. There is a shack if you just need food, supplies, DVDs, and other things you might not have thought about. She gave us a bag of fresh eggs and they were delicious! The area is quiet and peaceful and the views are amazing. It's great to unplug and just be. Melissa and Marjorie were wonderful hosts and took care of all our concerns and questions. We wished we had stayed longer. We will definitely be coming back again.

    Tyre2019-12-23T00:00:00Z
  • This was such a magical and breathtaking experience. I wouldn’t have asked for anything better. They were so kind and the location is stunning. We hope to return soon bringing additional loved ones.

    Ariela2019-11-15T00:00:00Z
  • If I could rate this 10 stars I would! Seriously such an amazing experience, everyone there is so sweet. There is so much to do, unfortunately I only got to stay one night due to availability. But I will definitely go back, the train on site was perfect and the fire we were able to start in front of our little home was perfect, sipping wine while just embracing nature and the stars. Anyways I can go on forever, definitely would recommend this place for a minimum of two nights!

Easy drive from the city and close to both Hunter and Windham! Clum house is a 2 story renovated house with a fully equipped kitchen and wood burning fireplace. The location is great year round. Close to Woodstock, Saugerties, Hudson, the Hudson River and Hunter and Windham ski resorts. The house is in a rural community so the water comes from a well. We've had problems with it in the past but installed a new filtration system last year and the water is now crystal clear and scent free.
The House was originally part of Camp Ontiora, a girls camp that operated from the 20's through to the 60's. Our property includes several of the original camp buildings and cabins. We use Clum as a Guest House and rent it when not occupied. My partner Daniel and I are architect/designers and rehabilitating the camp has been a labor of love over the past decade. It's in a great neighborhood with terrific neighbors. Over the past couple of years we helped our good friends renovate the camp lodge a few doors away which is also available for rent on Airbnb. Christopher has great info about the area in their listing and it's a wonderful place to stay if Clum is booked. https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/1257258

    Jo2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Kevin’s house is very comfortable, clean and well decorated. It is a home that would be great to visit in the middle of winter or summer. We hope to go back!

    Hannah2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely visit with our two little boys to celebrate my husbands birthday. Communication was great, easy check in. The property was beautiful, loved taking morning walks with the kids. The fireplace made the house extra cozy. It’s nicely decorated and all the beds had nice linens and were very comfortable. We ventured all around the area during our 4 day weekend — downtown Hudson for meals & farmers market. Hunter mountain for snow tubing and a nearby farm to see some cute animals! Highly recommend!

    Katie2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Very artistic and cozy house. Love all the art work on the wall especially the Bernd & Hilla Becher’s photo!!

    Xiao2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • Highly recommend. Very pretty and very comfortable. It is as good as it looks in the photos. Beautifully appointed -- if you enjoy interior design, you'll love the details. Lovely outdoor space as well and while our weather was just ok (it was January after all) in our short stay we spotted a pileated woodpecker, golden-crowned kinglet and enjoyed the chickadees and juncos flitting about. We'd stay again in a heartbeat.

    Sue2020-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • The house is so clean and beautifully decorated. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need to make delicious dinners. I would highly recommend

  • This was my second time staying at Clum House. My friend and I loved it so much last year that it's become an annual tradition--mid-December, we trek to Clum for our yearly writing retreat. The house is gorgeous and rustic (we especially love the fireplace) with an expansive backyard and candles and cozy blankets. Dusty, the house manager, is around and available if you run into issues--for example, we ran out of firewood and Kevin+Dusty hooked us up immediately. Kevin was also flexible about time--we wanted to arrive a little early, and I had to leave late because my car battery died and I was waiting for roadside assistance. No problem. I can't wait to stay at Clum House again next year.

MUST DISCLOSE IF BRINGING A PET : ) Totes pet friendly but must pay additional $50/pet at arrival. Airbnb doesn't let me add a pet fee. This is a very bright (2 skylights) duplex loft with a massive deck! The loft can easily sleep 4. For skiers I’m 17 miles from Hunter but small roads so it’s about 30 min drive. Only 10 min to downtown Woodstock - restaurants , bars, music venues, health food stores, and swimming holes!
It's a duplex. I live on the other side. The interior is open spaced with a lofted bedroom. There are two baths; one full upstairs (shower only) and one half downstairs. The bedroom has a skylight over the bed - wake up w the sun and go to sleep with the stars. It also has a balcony! It's a 2 hr drive from Manhattan about 2.5 hr drive from Brooklyn. You can take Trailways bus from Port Authority to downtown Woodstock. Need a ride when u get here? Anthony is a great and affordable chauffeur. See his card at the end of the listing.

  • This place was lovely to stay in, i was drawn to how much natural light there is in this space! This space is so spacious and cozy at the same time. I liked all the decorative and thoughtful touches. I had everything I needed and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. It didn’t bother me too much while I was here but it is close to a road (not many cars drive on it). I sense it would feel more secluded from the road when it’s summer and the foliage is full

    Sarah2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful, snowy weekend at the loft! We had stayed on the other side of the building a couple summers ago so knew that we were in for a treat. The gas fireplace kept us super cozy, as did the ample natural light and stylish atmosphere. The loft is full of homey touches and is well stocked with various necessities. We also appreciated Jaime's local tips (like the veggie lasagna at the Garden Cafe-- yum!). We can't wait to come back!

Custom built birch love seat, custom built birch vanity/sink, retro style fridge and microwave. Coffee maker, electric water kettle. Cedar sliding barn door with birch moon for bathroom entry, custom made. Birch tree and it's lights add romantic ambiance day or night. Small loft with a double/full foldable mattress for sitting (when renting for 2) or additional sleep space (when renting for 4). If you are booking for two, only the main bed will be made. This is a tent and you are camping, please keep this in mind. In the very cold winter days (below 0 F) temperature inside might not raise above 72 degrees F, so feel free to bring extra blankets, sweaters, etc in case you need them. In the summer, our Geodesic Dome is equipped with an AC and it cools the Glamping Dome nicely, but you should still keep in mind you are in a tent, not a house. We require that heaters and AC are used on Low or Medium setting only. Our Domeo is located in our back yard, and we are located in Town of Hensonville, NY (part of Windham, NY) NOTE: Cell phone reception is very spotty in our town. You can log in to WI-FI to make phone calls.
The quaint Catskills hamlet of Hensonville is just two miles from Ski Windham and seven miles from Hunter Mountain. Explore hundreds of acres of picturesque state forest preserves, hike or bike to nearby C.D. Lane Park or BlackDome State Forest. Dome is situated in host's backyard, 25 feet from the house. Located in town, not in the woods. Walking distance to local diner, bar and restaurant. Location ideal for skiing, hiking, mt. biking, hunting or just relaxing. Several golf courses nearby.
  • The Domeo is supercool! It’s a great experience and the space is laid out really well. There are instructions for everything so it’s all really easy to use, especially if you’re like me and never stayed in a place like this before. Thanks for a unique stay!

    Kathryn2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • The Domeo was super cute. Ella thought of many ways to make it original. She is also very organized and detailed about how to make you have the best/comfortable stay. I only had a short time here but I will be back! Also, for future guests make sure you check out Kaaterskill falls close by it was amazing !!

    Zack2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • The Domeo was a perfect quiet and romantic getaway for my girlfriend and I. The inside is thoughtfully set up to make sure you will have a trip that you will not forget. Definitely one of a kind. Restaurants were in walking distance. Five minutes from windham mountain. We enjoyed our stay so much and will definitely be back in the future!

    Michael2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a nice stay at Ella's Domeo! It was thoughtfully and beautifully designed and truly unique. The directions for check in and check out were very detailed and thorough and Ella made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. Even though it was the middle of winter, we felt warm and cozy. And the location is great, just a 15 minute drive to two different ski slops. Would highly recommend!

    Lindsay2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • What an absolutely beautiful place to stay. Me and wife wanted an early Valentine's and we had always wanted to try glamping and Ella's place was an absolute God send. It is undescribably beautiful on the inside, the decor, the furniture, the tree trunk with the leaves was all exemplary. My favorite place was the upstairs living room with the adorable couch and the ladder leading up to it. Pictures honestly don't do it justice. The place is full of character, easily one of the prettiest AirBnB's I have rented. Ella's place is an experience on it's own and me and my wife will definitely go there again.

    Hamza2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • I made a spontaneous decision to rent the dome on a road trip, and couldn’t have been happier with it. The booking and check in process was easy, and Ella was extremely prompt with replies. Everything she said she’d do, she did, and on time. The dome itself was a pretty unique and mystical place. It might not be in the middle of the woods, but once you’re inside it feels very cozy and secluded. It also had the world’s softest throw blankets. Even with a low temp around 10F, I felt sufficiently warm all night. I’d like to say I left it cleaner when I left than when I arrived, but everything was immaculate from the start. Overall wonderful experience, and I would love to return!

    Seth2020-01-22T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing stay at the dome! Ella did a great job with the design, so beautiful and very cozy. Such a unique place we are very happy we booked!

  • Angela and John’s place is exactly the kind that you’d want for an out-of-town getaway and memorable experience. It’s cozy, comfortable, and private. It’s also conveniently close to all of the main stores (by car.) When we arrived it was perfectly clean by our standards and there were plenty of cleaning supplies available to do your own additional tidying if you’re more particular. The bathroom is super spacious, well lit, and the shower has glass doors which are more ideal for an intimate stay. The kitchen is a perfect size for cooking a meal or two and the miniature refrigerator holds more than you’d expect! There are plenty of dishes available so that you really don’t need to bring anything from home. The living room area lets in a lot of natural light which feels so inviting during the day time. The porch area is also really nice for sitting and relaxing at your leisure. Bedroom is very cozy and has sliding doors for added privacy within the cottage itself. Overall a it was a great stay and I would definitely recommend to anyone looking to explore the area for a weekend!

Dear Guests, The cabin has always been, and will continue to be, a safe retreat and a place to get away to nature. Myself or Heather are the only ones who enter the cabin to clean and prep during turnover times. We’ll continue to thoroughly clean all surfaces with a natural, biodegradable soap solution and warm water, which is the most effective way of removing pathogens and dirt. We wear gloves and will take extra care to clean all high-touch areas, and will employ a disinfecting agent as well. We’re glad to offer the cabin as a respite during these stressful times. You will have total privacy at the cabin, and with the stars, the wildlife and the trees, can enjoy the rejuvenating power of nature. If you have a reservation and feel sick or otherwise do not feel up to getting away, please reach out to us, Ellen This secluded one of a kind Catskill Mountain log cabin is 2.5 hours from the GWB. The fully furnished cabin is clean, cozy and airy and is a great place to get away. The style is rustic and minimal. The chef's kitchen is big and open and perfect for group cooking and gathering. In the walk in pantry you'll find a Chemex coffee maker, cones and filters for drip coffee, a French Press (bring your own beans), a blender, cuisinart, waffle iron, ice cream maker, whirly pop and large pasta pot. The cabin features a wood burning fireplace; French farmhouse dining table big enough for 8; a great collection of both adult and children's books and board games; wireless high speed internet access is available; stereo with an ipod jack with indoor and/or outdoor speakers; and a 500 square foot front deck. Outside is a fire pit, a fantastic tire swing, a sledding hill in winter, a tree house and a big front lawn, perfect for a football game or snowball fight. • This was the best time. There’s no other place like it. The cabin is literally right out of a movie. Inside is everything you need and more. The land it sits on is also perfect. I was also happy to know my dog would love it. I would come here every week if I could.

    Dominick2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • This gorgeous cabin is even better than the description and photos lead you to believe. This well kept and spacious cabin over delivered for us. Needing a few days of "off the grid" living was certainly what this cabin allowed us to do. A remote setting and the perfect surroundings (including waterfalls) was ideal. Looking forward to a second visit.

    Jeremy2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful and cozy space. Privacy and peaceful surroundings. We enjoyed the crystal clear starry skies, drinking coffee while watching the deer wander the yard in the mornings , exploring the many waterfalls w our pup, and reading by the fire -- a perfect getaway from city chaos. Highly recommend!

  • Amazing cabin, truly a getaway. 10/10

    Adam2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • This was our second trip to the cabin and we had the same magical experience. Rent this cabin if you want a private (romantic) getaway from the city. It’s perfect. My only recommendation is to go to the cabin first before grocery shopping. The cabin is filled with spices and cooking supplies so I would check before doubling up on unnecessary goods. Ellen has all the amenities which made the trip so seamless. She’s an amazing host and will answer any questions you may have. Also this is a great spot to bring your doggies. Nice open field great for playing fetch. This cabin looks even better in person. RENT IT!

    Sabrina2020-01-30T00:00:00Z
  • Overall our experience was great! The space is a lot bigger in person than the pictures. She communicated with us the whole time and everything we needed for a weekend getaway. Ellen has a beautiful home it was nice and private. Thank you for everything!

Stay a long weekend or a full week in our charming 1890's former captain's home in the historic riverfront village of Athens NY, directly across the river from the town of Hudson.
The house sleeps 4 people upstairs in two private bedrooms and 2 more in the living room with a convertible sleeper sofa. There are 2 full baths upstairs -- one is decidedly modern with a state of the art glass shower, while the other hearkens to the house's glory days and features a clawfoot tub with original brass fixtures. Downstairs offers a full cook's kitchen, dining area and living room centered around a Danish Morso wood burning stove -- plus a cozy front porch for your morning coffee and a decked outdoor dining area in the rear, with barbecue. We have the luxury of being situated on a double lot, so we have a large private/fenced garden and we also grow our own herbs and vegetables on our quarter acre. Privacy, comfort & adventures await! The new Sauna is available for an additional fee of $30 a day. Please let us know at the time of the booking if you are planning to use it. It's quite amazing by the way! Walking distance to Athens' restaurants and the riverfront park, and a short drive to the town of Hudson which features great shops and antiques stores, never mind fabulous restaurants and a famous music scene (as illustrated by Rolling Stone magazine just last year!). Skiing, hiking, fishing, and secret swimming-holes are also close by. You are a stone's throw from both culture and outdoor activities. Short transit to both the Berkshires and the Catskills. Other nearby attractions include a nature trail park at the Hudson waterfront just 5 minutes drive, the Olana state historic site, the Thomas Cole house, the Hudson-Chatham Winery, Old Chatham Sheepherding Co., Bard College, FASNY Firefighting museum, Clermont State Park and Spruce Ridge Alpaca Farm. During the season, pick your own apples at Love Apple Orchard; strawberries, raspberries or blueberries at Thompson Finch Farm; or choose from a large selection of local produce Black Horse Farm. Biodynamic produce is available at Hawthorne Valley Farm. There is an Amtrak station in Hudson 15 minutes away.

  • A unique home in a historic town. Squeaky clean, peaceful, and quiet. The sauna and fireplace made it easy to relax after hiking on the beautiful trails only a short drive away.

  • Nice cozy getaway from the city!

    Soeun & Rolando2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • The house is a DREAM. Cozy living room with a fireplace, lovely sauna, huge bathtub - all perfect for a getaway weekend with a loved one. If coming from NYC, I would recommend taking a car - we tried to rely on Ubers and taxis in the area, which was a bit inconvenient. Sam was incredibly attentive to any and all of our needs the entire time, I cannot recommend this stay enough!

    Ondine2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Really cool “vintage” household with all the basic modern amenities to stay warm and comfortable. House tells its own story with every room you walk in. We took a short trip and didnt get to take full advantage of all our surroundings but we certainly enjoyed disconnecting from distractions for a couple days with our young family and getting to spend more positive times together. Definitely would like to check the place out in late Spring or Fall to really see the beauty of the Hudson.

    Christopher2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • Gorgeous house in a great location that felt secluded and private but was convenient to tons of restaurants and things to do. Would definitely recommend and hope to come back soon.

  • We had a wonderful stay at Sam's place. It was exactly as described/depicted. There isn't too much happening in Athens but it was a short cab ride into Hudson where there's a lot of great shops and restaurants. The sauna is absolutely amazing and well worth the extra cost! I would definitely stay at Sams place again :)

    Kristen2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely loved this place - a true gem. It is so cozy and perfectly located a quick 20 min drive to Hudson. The home is spacious and can’t recommend the sauna enough. Planning another trip back soon!

    Sarah2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Sam’s place is absolutely lovely. The decor is stylish and there are many thoughtful details, including a record player! I also loved that there was both an “old fashioned” and a modern bathroom—the former complete with claw foot tub and the latter a walk-in shower with cement floors. The best part has to be the sauna, though—your own private and tastefully modest spa. Sam was also very responsive and thorough in his instructions for the house. I would 100% book again!

Enjoy your morning coffee on the sun porch with a glimpse of the mountains over the forest, curl up with a book as light streams through the picture window, grab the guitar off the wall and accompany the piano, or catch a flick on the 65” TV. Take a short drive to find trails, slopes, and some of the best shops and restaurants the Catskills have to offer. Roast s’mores over the fire pit surrounded by mountain woods. This cozy cottage is the perfect spot to unwind and explore all at once.
Our house is a three bed, one bath farm-style cottage located just over two hours from NYC and just minutes away from the shops and restaurants on Main St in Tannersville, NY. Close to so many of the Catskills' best restaurants and bars but just far enough away to feel secluded, we find it to be the perfect place to unwind, enjoy, and recenter. Inside you’ll find three private bedrooms. The first-floor bedroom is equipped with a queen-sized bed. There are two bedrooms upstairs, one with another queen bed and the other with a full. The common spaces are set up to maximize relaxation no matter your tastes. Have your morning coffee in the sunroom or porch with views of the woods and a mountain peak over the tree line. Curl up with a book or get to work on your next novel in the cozy office space. Enjoy a movie on our 65-inch screen with surround sound using Google Chromecast to cast Netflix, Hulu, or other media from your smartphone, tablet, or laptop. Jam out on the guitar and piano. Cook a meal in the well-stocked kitchen or on the three-burner grill. Get cozy outside by the fire pit. You would be missing out if you didn’t hit the town or the nearby trails, but you certainly don’t need to leave the house to enjoy a mountain getaway!
The cottage is a 5-minute drive—or 15-minute bike ride—south of Tannersville and only 8 minutes away from the ski slopes at Hunter Mountain. Some of the Catskills' finest hiking trails are also nearby, including Kaaterskill Falls and Overlook Mountain. In town you'll find antique shops, art galleries, and a theater, as well as some of the region's best restaurants including Mama's Boy Burgers, made-to-order donuts at Twin Peaks, and the hip Prospect at Scribner's Lodge, just to name a few.

  • This Airbnb was adorable and cozy! It was very clean and comfortable, and it exceeded our expectations for our short ski weekend at Hunter. I found myself just wanting to be back to the Airbnb to hang out there throughout the weekend. Everybody also got great sleep while we were there, as the beds were SO comfortable and the area is so quiet. I would highly recommend this place to any group!

  • We loved staying at this cute cottage. It was comfortable and clean and gave us a great place to escape from Brooklyn. We spent most of our time skiing at Hunter Mountain which was perfect because it was less than a ten minute drive to the slopes. We had a great weekend! My only qualm (which is very small) is that there wasn’t a dishwasher) but that wasn’t a big deal. Otherwise everything was perfect!

    Emily2020-02-02T00:00:00Z

This quaint cottage sits among flowering gardens in summer, incredible fall foliage in autumn, & a wonderland in winter. Enjoy a cozy sleeping loft, outdoor fire pit, stargazing, & your own stone patios at the edge of the woods. We love to share our garden veggies, come pick your own! We are across the road from a lovely stream & 2 miles from Phoenicia in the hamlet of Chichester. The cottage is filled with lovely artwork inspired by our travels and every corner is a pleasure!
Welcome! We have lovingly designed and renovated the cottage inspired by our travels and our love of nature. It was an old barn which we transformed into a private cottage in the spring of 2016. We have continued to add stone patios and gardens, hand made cabinetry & artistic touches. We love the cottage and think it is a beautiful addition to our hand crafted home! Antique lighting and many Balinese touches including wood carvings & batik art adorn this tranquil space. The cottage is an excellent space for two people , or really close friends/family who feel comfortable sharing small open areas. There is a queen size therapeutic mattress in the sleeping loft overlooking the living area. (Please note that access to the loft requires a climb up!) The loft has minimal head room but a delightful coziness! There is a sofa bed down stairs with a very comfy memory foam topper which provides for two additional guests. The total cottage area is approx 400 square feet. The cottage has eating area with a coffee maker, microwave, toaster oven, sink and mini fridge and is equipped with dishes and all of the other basics you may need. Gourmet coffees and teas are stocked. (Please note that the cottage does not have an oven). The sweet dining area looks out over the gardens filled with beautiful birds and flowers. Our gardens are yours to enjoy and there are fresh organic vegetables which we are happy to share! There is a stone patio just outside, with a BBQ and a fire pit, at the base of a lovely wooded area where you can star gaze in the big open sky, roast marshmallows, and relax in nature. Hiking trails into the mountains and to the incredible waterfalls are near by. The bathroom has a beautiful hand tiled & stone shower looking out into the woods. We supply locally made luxurious soaps and lotions and our bathroom is a mini spa! Perennial flower gardens, a delightful gold fish pond, stone patios, and vegetable gardens surround the cottage and each window looks out to a lovely view! Your eyes will be pleased here! The cottage is in a separate building from our main house, about 20 steps away, connected to our woodworking shop. There is plenty of privacy, and many of our guests come here to have solitude and respite from the busy world. We are always available and happy to be here. There is also a large back yard for the cottage, facing the woods. We are in the middle of the beautiful Catskill Forest Preserve, there are many state trails nearby, some short easy hikes and some all day hikes. We adore children but we are not child proof! The loft is very tempting but not ideal for really little ones. Please let us know if you have children so we can talk about details. We have a gorgeous cat named Ruby who lives in our private home and spends her days outside greeting guests and chasing butterflies. Ruby does not go in the cottage so no worries for those allergic! We are 15 minutes drive from Hunter Ski Slope, and Belleayre Mountain, and the incredible Kaaterskill falls. We have wonderful places to eat nearby, including the famous Phoenicia Diner, Sweet Sues for incredible pancakes, Brio's for wood fired pizza, and Tavern 214 for delicious farm to table gourmet. Lots of fun shopping, terrific hiking trails, mountain streams and lakes, and live music are all very close by. We are so happy that so many enthusiastic fun loving people are coming to our area, some moving here and starting great little business, and others just enjoying the natural beauty of the Catskill Mountains.
We are 2 miles outside of Phoenicia, in the beautiful Catskill Mountains of New York. We are 15 minutes drive from Hunter Ski Slope, and Belleayre Mountain, and 30 minutes from Windham. There are incredible hiking trails with choices of easy walks to a full days hike. We have many maps of state trails available. There are also gorgeous streams and waterfalls, some hidden gems we can share with you. You will need a car unless you are a very strong bike rider! It's a very steep hill we live on! There are fantastic restaurants all around us, and a ton of great things to do. Woodstock is just 20 minutes from us. Great music, festivals, arts, and wonderful restaurants. Nature abounds!
  • Dara and Dave are super warm hosts. Nothing about our stay felt "businesslike" at all. Everything about the cottage felt like it was in the right place and the space was used really efficiently.

    Patrick2020-01-10T00:00:00Z
  • Dara and Dave were great host and the cottage was really comfy. Highly recommend it

    Yervand2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Dara and Dave were so welcoming, responsive to our very last minute request to stay, and so generous to us in every way. Dave even helped me with a small project in his shop the morning before we left! We loved their space, which reflects their travels internationally especially in Bali. I loved that the space is a way to share other cultures and support craftspeople from around the world in objects. We stayed one cozy winter night and would love to come back in the warmer months when we could enjoy the garden and sit around the campfire. Fully recommend!

    Serena2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay here! The decor and energy of the place is beautiful and the loft is small but super cozy. You can tell how much thought Dara and Dave put into every detail, and Dara had great recommendations for local places to visit. I loved that coloring books and markers were provided, and Dara even came by one day with homemade cookies. Would come here again in a heartbeat.

    Sarah2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you for a wonderful stay! It was a great getaway and close proximity to Hunter Mountain for us to get 3 days of skiing in. The cottage was very nicely decorated, we really loved the global touches from all of your travels! What a unique place!

    Mark2019-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • A super host for good reason! This place is so thoughtful, and so many little details are taken care of for the stay to be amazing. The cottage was clean and very unique, so much art to look at all over the place, and so close to nature. Wished we stayed longer!

    William2019-12-25T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful place and lovely hosting! Totally recommend!

Private guest suite in our renovated 1840s home furnished with a mix of modern and primitive finds, antique textiles, and luxury linens. Conveniently located a block from Hudson Amtrak station, and steps to Warren Street shops, restaurants, bars, and arts. City of Hudson Lodging Licensee #186.
Open concept one bedroom suite. The historic hideaway is the first floor of our 1840s home. You will have a private entrance with punch code lock. Our home has an abundance of natural light, exposed beams, concrete floors, radiant heat, a whole house water filter, solar energy, a salvaged farmhouse sink, mini fridge for your leftovers, coffee and granola, plates and glasses, and countertop oven if you need it. King size bed with Matteo and Libeco bedding. Pull out modernist queen size daybed for extra guests. We live on the second floor with our dog. You may hear us walking around, or we may be on the road (both arts professionals who travel often). This space is ideal for those looking for privacy and calm. Those looking for hotel services may be more comfortable in one of the many fantastic hotels in the area.
We are located on lower Allen Street, a block from the Amtrak station. The "main street" called Warren is two blocks North of us, and the main road in and out of town ("3rd Street") two blocks East - best used for day trippers, and explorations out of town, etc.
  • The description is on point. We enjoyed the train sound (probably 4-5 times a day) and little footfall noises from above. Some people may not like it but It is a tastefully set up, nice, cozy BnB. What you read is what you get and there are nice thoughtful touches throughout. They also provided disinfecting wipes which in these times are worth more than gold. Nice touch.

  • The space was very tastefully designed while also being very comfortable. It's a brief walk away from both the train station and the main drag on Warren Street. The hosts communicated clearly and make the process of staying at their place extremely easy. I would recommend this space to anyone visiting Hudson.

    Robert2020-02-23T00:00:00Z

  • Excellent place to stay if you are visiting Hudson. It is very close to a lot of restaurants and stores. Also Adam and RB gives you suggestions to local spots! I'm not sure if the floors were heated near the bed but it was very nice. The hand soap, shampoo, conditioner and body soap were nice! Plenty of towels and bathrobes were given You can hear the train pass by but it's not bad. This place exceeded my expectations.

    Michael2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Spacious studio in Hudson. We had a wonderful stay at Adam and RB’s. Lots of nice touches and easy communication. Dog friendly!!

    Hana2020-01-12T00:00:00Z

  • We loved our little getaway here with Adam and R.B. The suite was cozy, spacious, and perfectly located to shopping and the river. R.B. was very responsive and made check-in a breeze. We’d happily stay with them again on future visits to Hudson!

Sink into the deep tub of the spa-like bathroom of this renovated home, originally a farmhouse dating from 1842. In-home massage and yoga are also available. Cook in the new chef's kitchen, and on the BBQ with gas fire pit on the patio outside.
This completely remodeled home has gorgeous exposed whitewashed ceilings, high end birch floors and designer elements throughout. The downstairs has a large living room with a 55 inch TV with Netflix, Amazon TV and HBO and chrome cast, as well as an open concept dining room/kitchen and a half bath and laundry room. We say it can sleep 10 people, but note that there is 1 full bathroom and 1 half bath and there are 4 bedrooms. So it may be more comfortable to have 10 people if some of the people in your party are children. Upstairs you'll find four bedrooms, all with large closets. The bright and sunny master bedroom has a king bed with a memory foam mattress with a workspace and room to do some morning yoga! Or if you have a larger party, we can put a double mattress on the floor of this room if you'd like. Off the master (but also with it's own hallway entrance) is The Moroccan Room - a wonderfully cozy room with a double bed - perfect for curling up with a book, or for children to play and jump in. The bathroom has an oversized tub and luxury rain shower. The Deck Room has a queen bed, also with a memory foam mattress. The shining feature of this room are double french doors that open up to a private 150 SF deck complete with 2 lounge chairs. The Double Room has a full sized mattress and an extra large closet. Bright luxury linens warm up this wonderful room!
Hudson has been called “The Trendiest Town in New York State" by Conde Naste Traveller. It delivers a small-town vibe with the comforts of a lively city. The street itself is busy, with many nearby restaurants and stores to choose from.
  • A beautiful house in Hudson and very close to Warren St. Easy parking, easy to get in and out. The kitchen and living room were exceptionally gorgeous.

    Sky2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely weekend staying in Amanda & Chris’s home. The home was renovated, modern, and very comfortable. We were a group of 9 and they were accommodating by setting up an air mattress for our 9th person. Warren street was a quick walk away with tons of shops and restaurants.

    Aileen2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic house for a weekend getaway from NYC. The house is so cozy and a quick walk to town. We loved our stay!

    Anna2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Amanda and Chris’s home is a lovely place to stay in Hudson town. We would absolutely come back and recommend! We stayed for 3 nights with my husband and our 3 kids and it was just perfect!

    Lorena2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • What a lovely city escape for the weekend in Amanda and Chris’s cozy home! Tucked away, while still remaining a stones throw on foot to all of the fabulous food and art Hudson has to offer, their home is nothing short of perfect. When we got rained out on Saturday, no one in our group was disappointed since we had such a lovely place to spend the day. We appreciated all of the special design touches and how well maintained and clean everything was. Looking forward to another visit soon!

  • Laura was so nice. The space is gorgeous. It’s a perfect place to restore and relax. The goats were so cute and so was the land. Thank you so much Laura. If you’re thinking about this place, BOOK IT!

    Youmie2019-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • Wish we could have stayed longer but we will definitely be back! Laura is such a great host and we had such a relaxing trip. The propane stove was so nice for the cold weather and it was perfect for a romantic weekend!

    Heather2019-11-05T00:00:00Z
  • My girlfriend and I had an absolutely magical stay on Laura’s property. If you’re looking for an easy, unique, and fun escape from city life, this is your place. We can’t wait to visit again.

    Josh2019-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • Laura's property is a charming, relaxing place. We enjoyed our stay at the Stargazer, tucked between the trees. There is lots to explore on the property - for us, the highlight was befriending the goats. Laura is a welcoming, thoughtful host. Loved the weekend getaway and look forward to the next one!

    Andreea2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • It was the perfect space to spend the weekend and to get away from the city. Recharge in the quiet and enjoy the land that is Gather Wild! Laura was amazing and very responsive and helpful with tips around town and everything. My dog loved it too. It was everything I had hoped for.

    Christine2019-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • It was such a great experience. The best Airbnb couple ever ! We only stayed one night and wished we could’ve stayed for a week ! We will definitely be back again for summer time and will stay much longer !

    Georgeann2019-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • This little “glamping” experience is so unique and fun! Gatherwild takes all the guess work out of camping for those who are inexperienced. My suburban self and city slicker boyfriend were able to start a fire with ease with the use of the fire pit, wood pile and cardboard pieces left for our use. The grounds and our site “The Stargazer” was spotless, chic and full of style! It was the perfect fall romantic getaway. I especially loved the goofy goats on the property that followed me to and from the outdoor potty. The potty by the way was super clean and cute! I can’t recommend this spot enough.

  • We loved this home! It was exactly what we hoped for: cozy, near nature, and spacious. The days we were there we chilly so the hot tub was perfect for relaxing outside. I’d recommend this place for anyone needing time away.

    Jennifer2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our remote weekend getaway! Josh’s place is very stylish and cozy, and we couldn’t get enough of the fire place and hot tub. Both beds were very comfortable and the cabin had everything we needed. We highly recommend staying here!!

    Laura2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • My friends and I stayed a couple nights and had a great time. The place is really nicely arranged and styled. It feels comfortable and there is plenty of space even though the house isn’t huge. The kitchen had everything we needed. The living space was perfect for the 4 of us. There’s not a ton to do in the area in the winter besides driving out to a ski resort, so it was a nice touch to have extra amenities available in the house such as the hot tub, Netflix, and games. Thanks for letting us stay!

    Alison2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic place! Hot tub was absolutely phenomenal, space was beautiful. Comfortable beds, very secluded. Modern space, will definitely book again if we come back to the Catskills!

    Kyle2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • This place was heavenly. From the moment we arrived to the second we left, our hearts were warm and happy as can be. The cabin was equipped with everything we needed and more. The jacuzzi in the winter time is a dream and the heating system was toasty, we could not be more comfortable. The hosts were super attentive and responsive. This place is the perfect example of what makes Airbnb special. Thank you, Josh and Emely, we had a wonderful Christmas!!

    Jorge2019-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • Josh and Emily were great! The check in was smooth, the house is super cute and cosi. The fireplace is the cherry on top. Great selection of movies and record players! We cooked a few meals in the house and enjoyed the restaurants in downtown Catskills. Overall, excellent experience!

    Fernanda2019-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • This space is so cozy, accommodating, and beautiful. We were able to easily travel to Hunter Mountain to ski, eat at local restaurants, and enjoy playing games in front of the Christmas tree next to a warm fire. Could not have picked a better place to have a girls getaway. We will be back if in the area!

  • This was our first time staying on a boat like this & loved it! AJ was really friendly & helpful at check in & recommended some restaurants in town (a few mins drive away). The weather was beautiful so we sat with a takeaway soaking up the sun & admiring the view. There was the cutest family of ducks on the water which kept us entertained! At night it was lovely to sit & watch the stars. Great experience :)

This mobile tiny house is on a 28-acre property by Catskill Creek near the growing town of South Cairo. It's about two and half hours north of NYC. Leeds, Catskill, Hudson, Saugerties, and Windham are some of the nearby towns.
  • Spent Thanksgiving in the Mizu and couldn’t be more special, we came back for the second time and this time with our beloved doggie and we all had a blast! These tiny houses are just so beautiful and the scenery makes it all worthy! Watching the sunrise sipping coffee from bed overlooking the river was priceless!

  • Margie and Melissa's Think Big! A Tiny House Resort is a fantastic idea and in such a great location. The Mizu overlooks a creek and everything about the house was perfect! We stayed for only one night but wished it was longer. We had complementary fresh eggs in the morning and Margie really thought everything through -- if you forgot any groceries or want to play a card game, they have a "Snack Shack" with everything you could think of, including a bunch of board games! They also have an area to purchase firewood, and everything is conveniently paid via Venmo or cash. We had a great time hanging out with the goats and enjoyed hiking around Catskills Mountains. Would definitely recommend and come here again.

My place is close to Warren Street , restaurants , cafes , bars and shops. You’ll love my place because though close to all of the action , it's a country hideaway with a treehouse- like large, terrace. In this full floor-thru apartment of a unattached townhouse there is a ceiling fan in every room which adds to the naturally breezy cross ventilation . Air , light and sweet views from all directions ! Exclusively "to let", like a fine hotel suite... and then some. Added AC in bedroom 7/22 . Pets are welcome for a $25 fee. Feels like and is furnished like an airy counrty home . Clean and white with every consideration for comfort.
  • Great space, very convenient to everything in Hudson!

  • Valerie’s place is charming, spacious, light-filled and toasty in the winter. It was perfectly located for exploring Hudson. Valerie was a wonderful host, who went above and beyond to make us comfortable.

    Janet2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • My fiance and I were getting away for a quick few days, hoping to have a place to decompress from our everyday grinds without getting too bored. Valerie's place was great for this! It was super homey and comfortable to spend time relaxing in (we spent a lot of time in the cute reading nook by the window), but it was also a quick walk to all sorts of shops, coffee spots and restaurants for when we felt like getting out. We were really happy with our stay.

  • The cutest place in Hudson to stay! Val is a great host and very responsive. Super easy check-in process, comfortable and clean and beautifully decorated apartment. Short walk to Warren St to access vintage stores and restaurants. Would definitely stay again!

  • Our second time staying at Valerie's home was just as great as the first. The location is great if you're spending the weekend in town and want access to Hudson's main attractions. Love the space including the kitchen, the day bed and balcony

  • The location is perfect for some fantastic eateries and Valerie was very helpful in suggesting places to eat and drink. The apartment was spacious and well presented. A real home from home.

This home is walking distance to the resort at Hunter Mountain; it's a great place all year round for skiing, snowboarding, summer festivals, hiking etc. It's been carefully maintained for 50 years; Please treat it as your own.
Hunter mountain resort is a short walk, and we’re just a few minutes to restaurants and beautiful destinations in the outdoors including Kaaterskill falls, Colgate lake and numerous trailheads.

  • Beautiful cabin, very spacious with comfortable beds and living room areas on all 3 levels. Also, has a really has a nice deck. Short walk to Hunter Mountain and we were also able to walk to local restaurants that had fantastic food options. Fireplace in the Cabin was great after a long day of skiing. Very clean cabin with a nice kitchen and bathrooms. Would definitely recommend staying at this Cabin if you are planning a trip to Hunter Mountain!

  • The place was perfect and met all our needs, exactly what we were looking for. Close drive to mountain. Would recommend to others.

  • Everything was great! Loved the wood burning stove; but make sure you check to see if you need to bring some small wood or an axe to cut the wood they provide! Everyone I went with loved the condo and we had everything we needed besides toilet paper you have to get on your own and the downstairs bedrooms were cold compared to upstairs but nothing we couldn’t handle! All in all would definitely go back and stay again :) Great communication, everything was clean, and was not even 4 minute drive to Hunter mountain!

    Sally2020-01-25T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect location on Hunter Mountain. It’s a really cute and cozy spot right on the mountain. Definitely walkable but we decided to drive since we had all our gear. Alex & Brandon’s place was really homey, we loved the fire burning stove and all the board games they had. Just note that although they have 2 showers, only the one on the main floor has hot water. We all just took turns so no big deal at all. I would definitely recommend Alex and Brandon’s place, really awesome spot for such a good price!

Our "camping cabin" has a wood stove, sofa bed, kitchenette, writing desk, record player, patio, fire ring, yoga platform, 30-foot waterfall and a hammock. It is pet-friendly, off the grid, with solar power, a compost toilet and gravity-feed water. It sits on 20 acres and is two hours north of NYC. You can hike the Catskills out the back door or get to a trailhead, Woodstock, Kingston, Saugerties, Catskill or the Hudson River in 15 minutes.
We love living in our 20-foot shipping container, but please understand that it is not like living in a house or a hotel room or a glamping tent in wine country. It is like camping, except that you are encased in high-efficiency insulated walls and low-energy windows—and sleeping on a comfortable (Ikea Friheten) sofa bed. If it's cold outside (with the stove it's always warm inside) we usually leave the bed out and lounge around drinking coffee. If it's warm, we leave the double doors open and lounge around the patio. (Lots of lounging...) The kettle in the cabin is Le Creuset. The two-burner propane stove is Coleman. There is no refrigerator; there is a cooler for your ice and perishables. There are enough pots/pans/basics to cook whatever you want. (Yes, we have a coffee grinder.) There is a grill over the fire, and we often cook there. There is a gas grill too. The wood stove is Swedish and stays warm all night if you know how to build a fire. If you don't, you'll be up at 4am lighting it again. (We leave you Fatwood firestarter to make it a bit easier.) In the summer, a breeze off the 3,100-foot mountain behind us keeps the container cool, and the sound of the waterfall will put you to sleep. Staying in the cabin is an experience, not a simple overnight. There is something very special about it and this property. On a 20-degree night in the middle of a blizzard, it is 80 degrees and silent inside. Four guests have gotten engaged here. (All said "yes.") Another guest chopped his bundle of wood into 1,000 toothpick-sized pieces thinking that the fire would burn longer and hotter that way. It does not, and he was cold. And he left a glowing review of what he said was one of his best weekends away ever. There is a 30-foot waterfall 300 feet away. A beautiful stream the same distance down the hill, and a 20-foot slate ridge encasing the cabin. The hammock is perfect for reading and sleeping. The horseshoe pit is fun as hell—the record player is the bomb. This place was built for two. Or two and an infant. Larger groups can inquire about a new 40-foot container that we just finished. Send a note if you are interested or see the other listing. *Covid-19 Notes: 1. We are asking for longer stays to reduce the number of guests here and in town. 2. The cabin is cleaned immaculately after every stay, using CDC standards. 3. Cleaning supplies are left for guests; we ask them to wipe down surfaces and bag linens before leaving. 4. We ask that all guests fully stock up at home so they do not have to go to town to resupply. The cabin is set on a truly gorgeous 20-acre plot on the eastern edge of the Catskill Mountains. Our backyard is the flank of a 3,100-foot mountain. It feels a bit like Maine, or Alaska, with walking trails all over. You can't see any neighbors from our property, but there are neighbors, great ones. (Please be courteous and respectful to them.) We are on the side of Overlook Mountain and have tons of wildlife on the property. All guests are left with potable drinking water in containers. Flip the container onto the crock by the sink (like a water cooler at work) and you have water. There are touch-activated LED lights in the house. There is not a lot of storage space in the container, so we usually pack light and leave the bulk of our stuff in the car, parking is 10 feet away. Just bring in the essentials, keep the place orderly and it's more comfortable. No smoking inside, plenty of room to smoke around the campfire outside... There are two solar panels and an inverter with two outlets for charging phones, etc. It's not enough juice to run a hairdryer, but plenty for your phones—and the record player! Cell service is pretty good across the property, but the steel walls of the container make it not so good in some spots indoors. (Put your phone by the window and use a headset.) The new 40-foot container is set on the opposite side of the property. The driveway divides the two and and each are completely private. (We designed it that way.) Saugerties is a gem. Miss Lucy's (dinner), The Dutch (drinks), Circle W General Store (lunch) Love Bites (breakfast) and Diamond Mills (fancy!). Walking to the lighthouse is a must, as is hiking to Kaaterskill Falls, Huckleberry Point and North and South Lakes. Hunter Mountain is also 30 minutes away. Food shopping and farm stands are 10-15 min away.
We are 15 minutes from Saugerties, Woodstock, Kingston, Catskill and the Hudson River. We are about 500 yards from Kaaterskill Wild Forest and Overlook Mountain. West Saugerties is rural, full of farms, horse properties and the 3,400-foot peaks of the eastern Catskills.
  • Great place! Loved the close waterfall that you could hear as you fall asleep and all the stars that you could see through the trees. I would recommend this stay to anyone as long as you can handle ruffing it for a few days. Great escape for sure!

    Nathaniel2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • The container cabin was exactly what we were looking for. It is truly off the grid, in a beautiful location, and a fantastic place to unwind and disconnect. We both love to backpack and camp, so it was a joy to experience an upgraded "camping" experience. We loved being off the grid, and both the wood stove and the fire pit were highlights of our stay. Porter also let us use the hot tub, which is no longer a part of the Airbnb listing, which was great after a long day of hiking. We'll definitely be back!

    Kate2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • A weekend at the cabin is a great way to hit reset. Bring enough food and firewood and you'll never have to leave the cabin if it's cold out. My husband and I read books, listened to records and visited the waterfall, a short walk away. It was great. The cabin has everything you need to cook your meals. Porter was extremely clear in his description and communications about what to expect and was easy to communicate with. I'm really happy with our stay and had a great experience.

    Silvia2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Porter's cabin was such an amazing experience! The cabin was ready and tidy upon arrival, and Porter definitely thought of everything! There's utensils, bowls, cups, games, survival books, charging ports, extra lights - everything you could need. There was also a BB gun so we set up paper plate targets (lol) and had a blast! The waterfall is very close to the container and the entire back yard is great for exploring. We walked the property and didn't even feel it necessary to hike at any other locations. The container is small, yes, but that's the point! We still felt it was plenty of room for two and it was EXTREMELY cozy. You'll definitely need to have basic skills - cooking on an open fire, burning wood using a wood stove, etc. And if you think ahead and bring all you need you won't even have to head back to town (we didn't). All in all, we had one of the best trips we've had together. It was great to disconnect a bit and just enjoy the surroundings. We would highly recommend this BNB to everyone!

    Sierra2019-11-05T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing weekend! This cabin is in a beautiful location with privacy and wildlife. We dined at Love Bites and Miss Lucy’s Kitchen in the town of Saugerties about 15mins away and walked to a bookstore known as Inquiring Mind Bookstore and Cafe. We traveled 30mins to Overlook Mountain for a breathtaking view and a fun exploration of an abandoned hotel on the trail! The container cabin is surrounded by many acres that included a waterfall if you’re looking to explore the property. We sat in the hammock and a deer crossed our path, we also saw a crane splashing in the water close to the cabin, and much more. It was a beautiful weekend at Porter’s Place and the hosts were more than accommodating. We will definitely be back!

    Zaibeth2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • Porter’s place is amazing. For those in need of indoor plumbing, note that this does not fit the bill. But for those looking to get away from city life and take on something a bit more rugged, this place is perfection. It has small luxuries in all the right places, and for a weekend getaway my partner and I couldn’t have asked for anything more. We fell in love with it starting with the hammock and wood burning stove and continuing right on to the fire pit and nearby waterfall. For a remote spot in the woods, this place has everything one needs to rest and recharge.

    Cassie2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Location, location, location. You can't beat it. So wonderful.

    Geoffrey2019-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • Loved the place. Really relaxing and isolated. It is a bit lived in but it didn't diminish my experience on bit. Awesome record collection, too. There is everything from Thelonious Monk to Pink Floyd. Would go back again anytime.

As private as you can find! At the end of a mile long wood road on 11 forested acres on the Poetic Creek. No houses in sight - or earshot. A charming 'Camping Cabin'. Please read ALL the description, so you know what to expect and what to bring. _________-________________ Update: We are discounting the cost of the cabin by 75% for a month or more to make it affordable, if you wish to be safe in a safe location for a while . For a week or more, we will consider a discount also. Ask.
…….The Cabin is insulated and has an airtight wood stove. There is a Murphy bed with a queen size mattress. It does not have indoor running water or electric [other than a small solar electric system described below] - that's what "camping cabin" refers to. The forest has lots of wildlife, deer, wild turkeys, foxes, raccoons, great horned owls, etc. ----------------------- ……..For cooking there is a 2 burner Coleman camp stove, and outside, a fireplace. Solar power: Solar electric panels on the roof charge a storage battery. It has a USB port for charging small electronics and operating a couple of CFL lamps. ........Fire wood update November 2019: In November we delivered 6 truckloads of seasoned firewood to the cabin. Some of that is in a pile near to the cabin and the rest is in the wood shed. We also cut and split some oak trees for future firewood. That green wood is NOT seasoned and will not be ready for use as firewood until next spring It will not burn well until seassoned. Map attached. ……..Officially, it's the "Potic Creek" but one of our guests from Europe liked the location so much she named it Poetic Creek in her 2014 review. It is an idyllic getaway for those who appreciate nature. It is about 25 miles north of Woodstock; about 2 hour drive from the GWB. . . . . . When we started thinking about the possibility of sharing a cabin years ago, the question was, how can we do it? It is an hour and a half round trip from our home, so traveling to the cabin after every guest was not feasible. To make it work, we ask guests to bring their sleeping bags [or sheets and blankets] and towels, and “leave it as you found it.” We figured most guests who were interested in this type of retreat would be respectful of the next guest, and that has been true. We ask, if you cannot make a commitment to leave the cabin clean and tidy for the guest after you, and take with you any trash and empty water bottles, please don’t book a stay here. Once a month or so, we check out the cabin, restock supplies, and do any cleaning that’s needed. As in any cabin in the woods, mice do get in. If that would bother you, please don’t book a stay here. When we see evidence of them, we set traps and get rid of them, but before long they're back. …….Pets: Your dog is OK. Our two Yorkies love it there, we do not charge a pet fee. Due to past problems of guests with cat allergies, we do not accept cats. We do ask that if you bring your dog, that you do a thorough cleaning to remove hair and, that you not have your dog on the bed, unless you bring a sheet or blanket large enough to cover it. This is on the honor system, please respect other guests. …….At the cabin are plates, glasses, utensils, pots and pans, a French press coffee maker, T paper, paper towels, dish detergent, and candles, A Coleman 2 burner stove for cooking and spare propane canisters for it. Since it is an essential item, even though they are quite reliable, we keep a spare Coleman in the shed that has the porta potties. As it is camping, you will need sleeping bags, [there are a couple of quilts at the cabin so you could bring queen size sheets and pillowcases] and towels - and having a flashlight is a good idea, essential if you are arriving after dark. Bring what you would for any camping trip - matches, newspaper for starting the fire, and drinking water. In front of the cabin there’s a stone fire place and with a grill. We provide cut seasoned firewood. The firewood is provided for heating the cabin with the wood stove. Outdoors, only make a fire in the fire place in front of the cabin only, nowhere else. There is a small BBQ there. If you wish to use that, bring charcoal. ……. To repeat, please do not make outdoor fires other than in the outside fire place in front of the cabin. If you cook on the outside fireplace grill, it's best to split firewood to 1 1/2 to 3 inch diameter. Smaller sized firewood burns hotter and more quickly get to embers good for cooking. There is a maul [splitting ax] at the cabin. …….Bringing newspaper and matches for fire starting. There is an excellent, efficient Napoleon airtight wood stove for heating. It has a glass front door, so you can watch the fire burning. We will send instructions in case you are not familiar with the use of airtight wood stoves. Safety note: Do NOT use fire starting fluid in the wood stove, it is dangerous and can damage the stove. . . . . There is a small shed with 2 porta potties about 100 feet from the cabin. . . . . THE ROAD: The wood road in is a mile long. It’s a bit rough, but not a problem to drive in as far as the parking spot for the cabin. [We can drive in in our Prius, which is quite low to the ground, but do need to drive slowly in a few places]. Over the years, two guests [out of a few hundred] have told us they felt the road too rough. The parking spot is 250 feet from the cabin. The road from the parking area to the cabin is rough and steep, so without 4 wheel drive with good ground clearance, walk this last part. …….ROAD IN WINTER: Heavy snow would prevent you from staying at the cabin, and in that case we give a full refund or a rain check, at your option. With any snow, you will need to park at the parking area and walk the last 250 feet to the cabin. For more than an inch or two, 4 wheel drive is needed. If there is significant snow, it’s a good idea to have a shovel. ……..HEAT: The woodstove is efficient and heats the cabin well. Firewood is provided. We have been there when outside temperature was less than 20 degrees and been fine. ……..Water: The water from the river – and any surface water – would have bacteria and not be suitable for drinking unless purified. If the water is purified, it is potable. We provide a few ways to purify the water, but even so, we recommend bringing some drinking water. We have at the cabin a “Steripen,” which is an ultraviolet water purifier that will purify a liter in 90 seconds. As a backup to the UV purifier, there are “Aquatabs” -- tablets that purify a liter in a half an hour. Bringing water to a boil will also kill any bacteria. …….Toilet facilities:. There is a porta potty in a nearby shed. …….CELL PHONE SERVICE: We sometimes get service on our cell phones there – IT DEPENDS ON YOUR PROVIDER. We have ATT and Cricket. Reception is intermittent and weak, so often we have to walk up the hill to the parking area, and sometimes fo as far as the power linesm to get service. ……In addition to the queen bed in the bedroom, there is a queen size air bed. There is a foot operated air pump. ……..If you note that any essentials are getting low, please let us know so we can re-stock them. We can’t guarantee all are in stock, so bring essentials. ……. We have installed a timer on the lighting circuit at the cabin. This is to prevent the problem some guests have caused by leaving the lights on when they leave and draining the battery. So you will now see a timer mounted next to the solar control panel and storage battery. By turning the knob clockwise, it turns the lights on for up to an hour. A small inconvenience, perhaps, but better than having a guest come and find no electric. …….After you book the cabin, we will email maps, instructions, a primer on starting campfires, key information, etc. Best to print them out and take them with you. If they don't arrive by email within a couple hours of booking, please let us know. …….To reiterate: If you wish to stay in this cabin, please be prepared to leave it clean and take away your trash. We cannot travel there between every guest's visit. We can only re-stock and clean it periodically, if you are not prepared to do housekeeping at the end of your stay, please don't book it. Once or twice a year, a guest doesn’t clean up or take their trash with them. If that should happen, we ask that you deal with the issue and send us a bill, we will reimburse you for your time. ……..Thank you. Andrew Peck and Chloe Dresser ……. Texting AND emailing to BOTH of us is the best way to reach one of us if you have a question. We live in a remote cabin where phone reception is only occasional, but texts and emails reach us. ……... 2018 Update: …….Mice are a fact of life in a country cabin. Periodically, we set traps and get rid of them, but soon enough, more get in. If seeing a mouse or their droppings, would bother you, the cabin is not for you. . …….A guest sent us a favorable review a couple of years ago, which we copy here, not to toot our own horn, but because it serves to reiterate and emphasize some points that prospective guests should not overlook: ______________________________________ “This cabin is the perfect get away from the hustle of the city. The rustic cabin is totally secluded and right next to a small creek. There is . . . a queen bed, two chairs, and a wood stove. The bed is open to the kitchen and living room. There is a large dining table, two burner stove, and sink. There are plenty of pots and pans, a few glasses, and a few utensils. There is a cooler to keep things chilled. There is a large screened in porch that overlooks the creek. . . . There is an outhouse [outhouse changed to a porta potty in 2018] several yards from the house. Toilet paper, paper towels, candles, hand soap, and detergent is provided. Firewood was also provided and very much appreciated. The wood stove keeps you very warm in the house, and there is also a fire pit in front of the cabin. The solar power provides enough power to light the cabin in the evenings and keep your cell phone charged. Bring your own pillows, bedding, and towels. NOTE- The cabin is at the bottom of a steep hill. You must have a 4-wheel drive or you will not be able to get back up the hill. Park your car at the top of the hill and walk down. There is an honor system when it comes to cleaning the cabin. Make sure and leave the cabin clean and inviting for the next guests. Let the owner know if things need to be restocked. Catskill is less than 10 miles away and has a nice grocery store, Wal-Mart, and plenty of restaurants. Happy Camping!!!” .---------------------------------------------------------------- ……..The property is owned by Dresser Properties LLC. Your hosts are Chloe Dresser and Andrew Peck
We love that it is so remote and private, at the very end of a mile long wood road. If there's snow, it won't be plowed, you would need a four wheel drive to reach it in the snow. If you book it and there's snow so you can't reasonably drive in, we will give a rain check [snow check?] or a full refund - your choice. The road is passable by all but very low to the ground cars, except for the last 300 feet to the cabin which is steep, and should not be driven down unless you have four wheel drive. Before that steep part, there is a parking area.
  • Taking the time to just listen to the stream burble by, accompanied with the crack of burning wood in the fire and the rush of the wind through the valley is the kind of luxury you'll find here. Not glamping but not camping.

  • What you would expect from a cabin in the woods. I loved the location. The mice are friendly but can make some noise at night. Overall a great peaceful getaway.

    Adrian2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Andrew is a great host. He communicated very well from the start of our booking. Instructions were clear and detailed and we had no problems during our stay. Due to the snow he arranged for us to stay closer to Woodstock in another property rather than completely cancel our trip! Thanks

    Cristian2019-11-16T00:00:00Z
  • Highly recommend staying at this cabin. It is similar to camping, so expect something like a very cozy camping experience. You need to know how to make a fire. I stayed in October-- the foliage was amazing, and the cabin gets extremely cozy and warm with the fireplace. I'd worried about cleanliness and supplies, but there were plenty, and it seems people honor the system and clean up after themselves. If you want a private, beautiful, escape where you can fall asleep to the sound of a creek-- go for it!

    Ana2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderful rustic cabin in an amazing setting. Not for those who don’t enjoy roughing it, though!

    Sara2019-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • Peaceful, beautiful little cabin in the woods. It really felt like heaven. I will note that the drive in is really rough, so please bring your 4 wheel drive! However, well worth it.

Contemporary home in the northern Catskills, 10-12 mins. from Hunter Mountain, with scenic views, a rustic atmosphere yet contemporary touch. The floor plan is open with a spacious living area. The kitchen connects to the dining room and the dining room to the living room. Inside you will see a wood burning stove. There is a separate sauna building to add to your relaxing getaway. Outdoor space includes a great lawn with a views - plenty of room for family fun.
The view from the Great room of the house looks out upon Spruce Top Mountain. There is one bedroom with a full size bed and another with two twin beds. There are local photos throughout the house. Please note that my home does not have air conditioning. It is rarely neeeded, especially on the first floor, but on a hot summer day, the second floor could get hot. There is a fan available in the second floor bedroom if needed along with a ceiling fan. : )
This property is away from the road with a lovely view of Spruce Top Mountain. Many winters have plenty of snow for skiing, cross country enjoyment. There is good hiking year round.
  • Juri’s place was so adorable and cozy! The swing out looking the backyard woods area was sooo soothing. We even saw 3 deer out there this morning! So cute. Would definitely be back and recommend 👍🏼 thanks again Juri!

  • Our stay was PERFECT. Location was amazing (only 10 minutes from hunter mountain skiing) on a quiet private road. The home was so comfortable and clean — with a beautiful kitchen, huge windows, and a lovely wood fire stove/living space. Slept four people very comfortably. Juris was kind and thoughtful, with very timely and detailed instructions and communication. 10/10 would recommend and stay again.

Bonner Lodge is our secret little hideaway (well, not that little at 2,500 square feet) in the Hudson Valley/Catskills area of upstate New York. We first learned of this former Girl Scout Camp lodge through friends who purchased and renovated a portion of the original camp next door as their weekend getaway. An architect and designer from New York City, these friends had us up to their unbelievably stylish "camp" and we fell in love--not only with their preppy-chic Girl Scout cabins, lawn parties, and design aesthetic, but also the Town of Catskill, the mountains, the ski resorts, the local produce stand--all of it! It was such a magical escape from the fast-paced-pound-the-pavement life that we lead back in the city. So, when we found out that the original camp lodge, that housed all the girls' (and boys from the nearby brother camp) church services and stage performances was up for sale, we knew we had to buy it. And who better to renovate the lodge and bring it into a modern day structure? The architect and the designer. And a year and half later, Bonner Lodge, with it's magnificent stone fireplace, is a warm, 3 bedroom log cabin, with 2 full bathrooms, a spacious and stylish kitchen, a very large, open main living + dining room, and covered porch for alfresco dining or sunset cocktails. We have listed several pictures for you to get a sense of Bonner Lodge and our personal style. But Adirondack, Mid Century, Modern, Warm, Comfortable--all fit the feel and style of the lodge. A few highlights: Kitchen -- fully stocked chef's kitchen with ALL your needs (and if something is needed or missing, please let us know) Bedrooms -- each bedroom (2 queen + 1 twin) has two sets of linens + great light; the 2 queen bedrooms have A/C units for the summer months and brand new high quality mattresses, the twin has a window and fan and pulls AC from the main room when door kept open. Window Seat -- custom built down cushions provide an unbelievably cozy relaxation spot and serves as two extra "twin" mattresses for spillover sleeping (kids LOVE this nook) Fireplace -- the focal point of the lodge and our personal fav Guest Bathroom -- boasts a brand new rain shower + all new fixtures and a gorgeous skylight Master Bathroom -- also brand new fixtures + a Japanese inspired tub with a shower and a window that gives a sense of taking a shower outside Washer + Dryer -- in the back hallway for you to use during your stay Dining Room -- open to the Main Living Room, it seats 16 Outdoor Grill -- please bring up charcoal/lighter fluid etc Bonner Lodge is a place to relax, cook, and spend time with family and friends. Playing board games, relaxing by the fire after a day at the nearby ski resorts, or cooking a Thanksgiving meal is what the property is made for. It also provides a wonderful home base to explore the gorgeous and historic Catskill Mountain Region--hikes, trails, creeks, waterfalls, ski resorts. Perfect for an artist or writer or outdoor sports enthusiast or nature lover or a family with kids. There are a few AMAZING towns all within 10 to 20 minutes of Bonner: 1. Saugerties -- huge 24 hour grocery store, home to HIT Horse shows, high end hotel for spill over family, fun local bars with great burgers and beer, movie house, the local gym, cute stores and one of my fav restaurants Miss Lucy's, with it's perfect Blood Orange Margarita 2. Woodstock -- yes, THE Woodstock. Quaint artist town with amazing eateries and festivals and music and antiquing 3. Hudson -- high end shopping, great food, gourmet grocer, the perfect wine & cheese shop, art galleries, beautiful antique stores, an Amtrak station, a great "have an evening on the town" town 4. Catskill -- another 24 hour grocery store, 24 hour diner (our breakfast go-to), Walmart, Lowes, Home Depot, CVS: all things needed for modern civilization; also an historic downtown area with cuteness abounding Bonner Lodge is about 1 hour and 40 minutes from New York City. 40 minutes from Albany. An easy and cheap Amtrak ride from Boston or New York CIty. A few things we'd like for you to know: We have two cabins out back of the lodge. They are currently being used as storage for us and they are certainly not renovated or habitable, but they are there and can be seen and we want you to know that. One day soon, we will paint, and update, and get them ready for a ping-pong table and extra sleeping cabins. We are just not there yet. We love this lodge immensely. Although new homeowners, along with our family and friends, we have enjoyed wonderful weeks and holidays here. We want the same unique experience for you as well. Bonner Lodge loves to be lived in. I'm sure you have tons of questions, and we have more info to give those interested in booking. Let the process begin. And welcome to Bonner Lodge. P.S. If our lodge is booked, OR, if you have a huge group or family and need BOTH places, please check out our good friend Kevin's place next door. It's got amazing style and great light. https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/1688089

  • Such an amazing house. Huge great room is beautiful during day with sun streaming in through windows and skylights, and equally beautiful at night with all of the well-designed, soft lighting and massive fireplace. The property is equally lovely.

  • This may be the best Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in. Christopher and Geoffrey were so thoughtful, quick to respond and accommodating. They turned lights on and made it cozy for our arrival, had wonderful touches everywhere that we enjoyed. It’s the coziest house and we stayed with our kids and dog and felt the perfect balance of stylish and comfortable. They have everything you could need and it’s an easy drive to Hudson, Hunter, and Woodstock. Thank you so much!! We will be back for sure!

  • You know that super chic home of your dreams in the Catskills? This is it. The home was even more stunning than the pictures and an amazing retreat for a weekend away from the city. The decor is beautiful, the house is fully stocked and pristine and Christopher and Geoffrey are excellent and responsive hosts. They've truly thought of everything and are beyond welcoming. Our best rental thus far. We can't wait to come back again!

  • This is my favorite AirBNB I’ve stayed at. It’s an awesome cabin in the woods with a huge fireplace, great cookware, lots of good books, beautiful design, comfortable furniture and many thoughtful touches. It is a private and peaceful place to sneak away for a few days. I wished I’d had more time to explore the area and check out more of Christopher and Geoffrey’s recommendations but the places we did go to were great. Also their housekeeper does an amazing job to keep the place very clean and comfortable.

  • This was my second time back to this beautiful home and it was even more lovely than I remembered. There were a few new designs updates that were gorgeous. The home is truly out of the pages of Elle Decor. We had every amenity we could possibly need. The space was spotless when we arrived and Christopher and Geoffrey were such fabulous hosts. They take great care to leave the most amazing and thoughtfully curated itinerary that we followed to a tee, not to mention, very clear instructions on anything we would need for the home. Several friends of mine are booking follow up stays and I will be as well. I highly, highly recommend this beautiful upstate retreat :)

    Diana2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • The lodge was so beautiful with such great attention to detail. The kitchen was a chefs dream with everything you could ever need to make delicious dinners. The fireplace provided a great vibe in the huge living room for us all to hang out in. I would highly recommend

    Kerry2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Christopher and Geoffrey are amazing hosts. The home is everything you could want for a cozy weekend away-- a short drive to several cute towns, but secluded and cozy. There are so many thoughtful details in this home, nice appliances and cookware, and all the creature comforts that are often missing from a rental property. Christopher and Geoffery are communicative and flexible- cannot recommend this spot enough.

    Emily2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Christopher and Geoffrey have put together a truly beautiful escape and are fantastic hosts. Will most certainly be coming back.

Admire views of the picturesque creek adjoining the 28-acre plot upon which this tiny house sits. Inside, the compact interior offers a neatly arrayed, wood-panelled layout featuring soaring ceilings on the main floor, and an extra sleeping loft.
Each tiny house enjoys a weber gas grill, outdoor furniture, firepit, both dining and sitting areas, a wonderful view of the creek access to 28 acres, a 1/2 acre of water frontage, a waterfall, a dog park (yes we are good dog friendly), a heated seasonal pool (May-October) and so much more.
The tiny house sits on an extensive plot offering a waterfall and water frontage, a dog park, and firepit. The area is close to Hudson, Catskill, and a 25-minute drive to Saugerties and Woodstock. Lovely Leeds is the closest town.
  • It was better than I thought , although it was a tiny house it was actually super spacious. Inside was clean & nice ! The scenery was beautiful I didn’t want to leave ! I’m already planning a stay for June ! The baby goats were my favorite I missed out on the waterfall but I’ll get to see it in June! thanks so much Majorie & Melissa it was super peaceful !

    Tia2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • I can’t recommend this place enough, we had a wonderful stay at “the flat”. The tiny house itself was spotless, adorable and comfortable. Plenty of space for my fiancé and I plus our dog. We love how dog friendly it was - he had an incredible time as well. The grounds are beautiful with nice trails, the friendliest goats and chickens to play with and a gorgeous waterfall. We loved the “snack shack”, it was filled with snacks and local gifts to purchase via your phone or you can leave the cash right in there. Everyone we interacted with was super friendly and helpful, and they gave us 6 fresh eggs from the chickens upon arrival. They were very communicative with emails and texts about check in, helpful tips about the resort and checkout. Even in the winter we had so much fun, but we’d love to return in the summer when we can swim and kayak in the creek. If you are considering booking this treat do it, you won’t regret it!

  • This is an amazing house with everything you need and more ! It is cozy in the winter and adventurous in the summer. Highly recommend for 1-2 days ! Also the hosts are amazing and communicative. Dog friendly !

  • My wife and I were very happy with our tiny home and property. The home itself was extremely comfortable, well decorated, and had everything we could possibly need. The property was beautiful and nice to just walk around and visit the creek, waterfalls, or different animals. It was the first trip we took our 5 month old puppy on and they really go out of their way to make it dog friendly in case you want to bring along your pet. Overall very positive experience and we will come back.

    Mark2019-05-26T00:00:00Z
  • The Flat is so comfortable, cozy, quiet and complete with an amazing view. Everything in the house (toilet, shower, kitchen etc) worked perfectly. We toured the grounds and got to greet the goats, ducks and chickens (we even came home with some fresh chicken eggs!). We'll definitely be back!

    Talia2019-03-22T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely amazing property and our tiny home , the Flat, was perfect for what we needed!! (We know what we’ll be retiring into!) But in all seriousness, I have nothing bad at all to say about this place and we will definitely be back!! Because we stayed in the winter, they did a hot toddy/beverage truck in the evenings and offered some delicious choices which were greatly appreciated for our movie and show watching!! Everything was clean and organized, and we utilized the snack shack on site for some emergency maple syrup! There is plenty to do on the property but also listen to their suggestions for activities nearby. I’ll be recommending this place probably until I die, so if you’re wondering if you should splurge, please do so!

    Emily2018-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • My family and I stayed at the flat and it was such a cozy time. It was our first tiny house experience and we want to come back! The waterfall was beautiful, the view of the creek was refreshing, and once we were in the home we didn’t want to leave. We definitely want to come back during the warmer weather.

You will be staying on our working poultry and fiber farm in a cottage sitting in front of a pond. All the animals are free range and friendly. Plenty to photograph, paint or draw or just come to relax and get away. Our price is with sales tax included. We want your stay to be pleasant, please ask if there is anything we can help you with. Due to the location of the cottage and the animals that are free range we only accept adults. Thanks, your hosts, Vicki and Skip Watt
Our cottage is like a tiny house. 256 square feet and the shower is 64 square feet and is on the side of the cottage. The shower is completely private with no access from the inside. The beds are regular twin mattresses. We provide bedding, sheets, blanket, pillows, hand towels, towels for the shower, you have the option to bring your own as well. The toilet is a composting toilet and the sink and shower have hot and cold water. There is a picnic table on the side of the cottage, a charcoal BBQ and a fire pit. We supply the wood and the charcoal as a courtesy. There are 2 chairs and a swing.
The surrounding area is beautiful. Many creeks, ponds and waterfalls and a beautiful park in town with walking trails, a creek and a lake that is dog friendly.
  • Vicki and Skip are amazing. The place is great. We were the last ones of the season and it was cold and rainy. They drove our bags to the room on a ATV, the heater warmed the place up nice. All around great affordable choice. Ow ya, the animals are super fun too!

    Brett2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • I was looking to escape the busyness of life and relax for a weekend and Vicki and Skip's little cabin was everything I hoped for! They truly could not have been any nicer! When my plans changed very last minute and unexpectedly she was very accommodating and understanding. Vicki was always very quick to respond and knew the surrounding areas well. She gave me great suggestions when I asked :) She also has the cabin stocked with travel brochures and maps of the areas. The cabin is adorable and so clean! In the mornings I enjoyed having my cup of coffee on the little front porch and listening to the animals in the barn and at night I loved making a fire in the pit and relaxing with the stillness of the pond. The outdoor shower was very cool and felt great. I loved all the animals! Skip was so nice to bring me into their barn and in with the sheep, alpacas, goat and donkeys. I loved how the chickens would just run around on the property! If you are looking to feel secluded but not lost and one with nature but not without basic comforts, this is your place to be! It was such an peaceful weekend and awesome experience that I won't forgot :)

    Hannah2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • We had just one night at the farm but it was lovely. Vicki has created a charming cottage in a nice country setting. Perfect.

    Jeff2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Vicki's place was an amazing experience for a peaceful stay in the Castkills. The tiny home was perfect for a night or two. We loved the setting by the pond and simple amenities. Vicki and Skip were extremely hospitable and kind. They treated us like old friends or family! We'd definitely stay here again to see our hosts and all their wonderful animals.

    Stephen2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Vicki’s place was perfect! We loved the peacefulness of our little cabin along with great views of the farm animals (which we visited as much as possible :) If you want a really memorable trip and maybe even an autograph from a celebrity chicken, Vicky’s place will be a dream come true!

    Phil2019-09-30T00:00:00Z

  • William’s place is a spotless, stylist, sparely decorated old home at the end of a quiet street with views of the creek and river, but still a short walk to the downtown. The perfect house to use as home base for touring around the Hudson Valley in late fall. Even the wifi was great (so there may have been some time for Netflix...).

    Scott2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • It is a beautiful old house with a sparkling new make over and the views are beautiful and there is a peace to the house overall. Fantastic back porch with river views though a little cold this weekend. A great value.

  • Very nice clean spacious home. Great location quiet street but next to the main st with a lot of restaurants. Bill was very friendly. The house dosent have A/C unit on the first floor (we stayed in October so we didnt need it anyway) but there is one on the second floor. All the bedrooms has a connecting door that makes it very easy when you come with kids. There is all the dishes you need and a coffee machin with pods. Very recommended!!

    Matt2019-11-05T00:00:00Z
  • Sorov was super diligent and contacted me the morning we were due to arrive after a serious storm swept through the night before leaving much of the area without power. He knew this stay was a birthday gift and wanted to give us a heads up and gave us a full refund so that I could make other plans. Thanks so much Sorov for being so understanding and helpful. We will be back soon to stay in your place!

    Susan2019-11-02T00:00:00Z
  • Sorovs cabin was just what we needed! Cosy place to crash while we explored the Catskills during the day. Record player was a great touch, as was the left over wine in the cupboard (score!). There are other houses in proximity but that was ok by us. Palenville is a cute town too. Great cabin design, warm and cosy, we had everything we needed, and with so much nearby to see

Beautiful renovated carriage house with access to upstairs lounge space and courtyard. A secluded space indoors and out. Extremely convenient to the best Hudson has to offer. Eclectic mix of modern and Asian furnishing, tasteful and very comfortable. Please note ***THE CARRIAGE HOUSE IS CLEANED BY A PROFESSIONAL CLEANING SERVICE AFTER EACH VISIT FOR YOUR SAFETY AND PEACE OF MIND***
This traditional carriage house is newly renovated into a beautiful two story living space. It's a hidden funky space that's close to Warren, yet close to everything. The physical address is 527 Warren, but, guests access this hidden gem off Cherry Alley. The spacious bedroom with a modest en suite 3/4 bath on the ground floor opens out to the private garden. High ceilings, exposed brick and lots of light make this a special place to wake up. The outside staircase will lead guests to the upstairs living room/lounge area equipped with a water cooler, coffee and tea maker and a mini fridge. A great place to relax in the evenings, play a record on the turntable or have a glass of wine out on the private porch. The Juliet balcony is a unique feature. The space is suitable for entertaining a few friends or having a business meeting. It is not a cook-in kitchen, just the basics: cold/hot water cooler, mini fridge, and Keurig beverage machine with a variety of coffees and teas. Asian, African and Modern art from the owners collection add to the beauty and charm.
Hudson is a beautiful and lively small city with a long and rich history. As we are located on Warren Street our guests have just a short walk to most of the restaurants, shops and galleries. A longer walk will take you to a park on the Hudson river. Above all, we hope guests find the time to unplug and take in all that Hudson has to offer for a minimalist, yet, invigorating escape. There is so much eating, shopping and exploring to do it will not fit into this space. Check out: www dot (URL HIDDEN) for a complete listing of all Hudson has to offer.

  • Absolutely loved our stay and highly recommend this cute place to anyone looking to escape upstate! Can’t beat the location in the heart of Warren st, walking distance to all the best restaurants, shops and bars! Everything was clearly communicated on how to operate the fire place, record player, etc. Such a fantastic night — thanks Sam for being so accommodating! Looking forward to coming back. Happy New Year!

    Devon2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • The carriage house was a great find! We’ve always been intrigued by garage houses so it was awesome to finally stay in one. The gas fire heated the entire space, which was great because it was freezing outside when we stayed. Sam suggested bringing an eye mask because it can get bright in the morning, which was an excellent idea. Comfortable bed, convenient location, great experience!

    Laura2019-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • This was a cool, funky spot!! PERFECT location, and it's beautifully decorated. I had a great few days of writing there. I would definitely heed the warning re: light sleepers -- it's pretty bright in the AM! Also note that there is no kitchen!

    Stephanie2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • Sam’s place is in a great location and had everything we needed. The bed was super comfy and the fire made it really cosy. We also enjoyed having the extra space upstairs to work and hang out. She was also really accommodating and let us check out late as no one else was checking in. Thanks Sam!

    Hannah2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • You couldn't get a better location than this. It's really in the heart of Hudson, walking distance to all the best shops and restaurants. Cool space with interesting design and very easy to access.
