A little further, Tetbury has some wonderful antique shops and delicatessens to browse and the famous Highgrove Shop, which is well worth a visit. Within ten miles is the market town of Cirencester, which is at the heart of the Cotswolds and there are many shops and an interesting Roman museum. For water sports, one can enjoy an abundance of activities such as sailing, jet ski, kite surfing and fishing around the many lakes of the Cotswold Water Parks, a few miles away.
  • Sweet little cottage in the countryside. Rowena is a great hostess -- quick to reply to any messages and full of advice and suggestions for things to do. There are good pubs within walking distance. Having a car is definitely a plus if you want to do much exploring in the area beyond the immediate fields, though, we managed without one. While most of our walks were cut short by flooded fields, it was nice to explore the area and great to come back to the cottage to warm up with tea, brownies, and a good foot soak.

  • Great place to stay ☺️

    Anthony2020-01-15T00:00:00Z
  • A delightful visit! The cottage was well appointed and spotlessly clean and comfortable. Rowena was a very pleasant and helpful host. The local area is quiet and beautiful but not too far away from amenities. This was a perfect, quiet, relaxing and comfortable stay and is highly recommended for those wanting a ‘getaway’ from the big cities.

    Ian2020-01-09T00:00:00Z
  • It was a lovely couple of nights stay that we had at Rowena’s place. The cottage was lovely and very cosy. Everyone on the estate was very friendly and we couldn’t ask for a better time!

  • Lovely place to retreat to. Friendly welcome and beautiful space.

    Sarah2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • We can highly recommend this place. Everything was perfect. We stayed there in December : The property was lovely and warm and I loved the fact that there was a bath with plenty of hot water: Great for after going on a hike across the fields. The homemade brownies were scrummy. The lodge is sparkling clean. As I have said, just perfect.

Pear Tree Cottage is a beautifully renovated holiday home peacefully located in the rural hamlet of Cherington. Surrounded by the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Cherington is a quintessential English village with a village green and a parish church. Close by is the village of Avening, home to two well-regarded country pubs, and there is a lovely organic farm shop with a café just a five minute drive from the cottage. Cherington is perfectly placed for exploring the many pretty towns and villages of the South Cotswolds including Tetbury, Nailsworth, Malmesbury and Cirencester, as well as the spa towns of Bath and Cheltenham. Important Customer Notice: - Special Events: Christmas, New Year and the Cheltenham Horse Racing Festival are Special Events, with bookings typically limited to weeks only from a specific start day If your dates don’t appear to fit, then please click Contact Host below to find out what options may exist for you!
Pear Tree Cottage is located in the quiet hamlet of Cherington. Accessed via a lovely patio garden, the front door opens directly into the spacious yet cosy living room. The following rooms are located on the ground floor: Living room: This bright and airy space is full of character and charm, including a bay window, wooden flooring, an inglenook fireplace with a cosy wood burning stove and vintage and antique tables, all complemented by wonderful artwork. There are two sofas, a Freeview TV with a DVD player, and a DAB radio; Dining room: This elegantly presented room is an ideal space for entertaining. There is a large wooden dining table with seating for six, an inglenook fireplace with wood burning stove, a restored antique chair, a converted copper paraffin lamp and an iPod docking station; Kitchen: This well-equipped space is perfect for home cooking and features an electric oven with four-ring electric hob, fridge with ice box, dishwasher, kettle, toaster and a CD player with radio; Utility room: A handy space for keeping muddy boots and storing jackets. This room contains a washing machine/tumble dryer, microwave and an additional fridge. A staircase in between the kitchen and utility room leads up to the first floor landing, off which are the following rooms: Master bedroom: A beautifully presented room with gorgeous views overlooking the quiet country lane from the bay window. There is a king size bed, two chests of drawers (one with a vanity mirror), a wooden rocking chair, plus hooks behind the door for additional hanging space; Bedroom 2: Overlooking the pear tree in the front garden, this lovely bedroom contains two single beds, a chest of drawers for storage, plus hooks for additional hanging space; Family bathroom: A bright and stylish bathroom with a bath, walk-in shower, toilet, wash basin and a heated towel rail. The beautiful rear garden is accessed via the utility room and comprises three different areas. The first section is a lawn bordered by pretty flowers and a box hedge, a lovely setting to relax and unwind. From here, the garden continues through a gap in the stone wall to another well-maintained area which is bordered by flowers, grasses and a variety of fruit trees. This part of the garden descends to one last lawn area, a lovely tranquil space which provides stunning views over the rolling hills and Cotswold countryside beyond. Free on-street parking is readily available close to the cottage and throughout the hamlet.
The Cotswolds are characterised by attractive small towns and villages, built of the underlying Cotswold stone (a yellow oolitic limestone). In the Middle Ages the wool trade made the Cotswolds prosperous and some of this money was put into the building of churches, leaving the area with a number of large handsome Cotswold stone "wool churches". The area remains affluent, which has encouraged the establishment of many high quality pubs, restaurants and antique shops.
  • Check-in was a breeze – Kevin met us promptly and was very helpful and friendly in showing us round. The cottage is close enough to supermarkets to buy supplies (10-15min from many major brands) yet equally set in the countryside to escape from everything. It was perfectly clean and had everything you could possibly need. Internet was great too for film nights and booking your tickets...but you’d hardly need it beyond that because of the beautiful scenery. Would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone!

  • This cottage is incredibly beautiful and cosy. We had a wonderful time and would definitely visit again!

  • What a lovely comfortable & stylish cottage. We enjoyed the proximity toTetbury with an array of antique shops galore! We visited Bath which was an easily managed one hour drive. Beds exceptionally comfy with quality linen. We enjoyed the log burner & home from home feel !Thankyou!

    Helen2020-01-31T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our weekend in Pear Tree Cottage; a delightful retreat. It was warm and very comfortable, and suited the four of us beautifully. We enjoyed cooking in the very well equipped kitchen, and eating in the pretty dining room. Two miles or so from Minchinhampton with pubs (we ate a very good meal at The Crown) and shops, Cherington itself is a lovely Cotswolds village with walks from the door - the countryside around magical with hoar frosts on the 2 days we were there.

    Paul2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Pear Tree Cottage gives you everything you need for a perfect Cotswolds stay. For our winter stay it was cosy & utterly charming. A really delightful place.

    Lindsay2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • A fantastic cottage in a lovely little village. We were welcomed at the cottage by Kevin who showed us around and let us know he was available should we need any help at all. There is a lovely log burning fire with enough wood supplied to use for one night, we bought more wood from a supermarket ten minutes drive away.

    Georgina2019-11-25T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderful little cottage in the cotswolds. Perfect location for exploring the rest of the area. Lovely clean and cosy cottage with a wonderful fire for the evenings. Would highly recommend

  • A fantastic home away from home in a quiet village just outside Tetbury. Comfortable, spacious and well equipped - we couldn’t have asked for any more. We will definitely return for more cosy nights in front of the fire!

  • We had a lovely stay at Veronica’s studio. She was incredibly helpful with tips on where to go and what to do in the Cotswolds. The studio was perfect for chilling out in the evenings on a recliner sofa in front of the telly, and it was great to have a kitchen to cook our own food and save some money. The shower was great and we had a really comfy bed to sleep in too. Veronica also kindly left us biscuits, coffee and milk. Thank you for a wonderful stay Veronica! All the best, from Sophie and Sam

  • This location is great for people who fancy a long weekend in the Cotswalds. Big drive area for your car to be parked, and easy to get on and off in my Ford Fiesta. There is a really nice pub/restaurant within 10 minutes walk in a nice and quiet village. The location is great, nearby the Cotswalds airport, and there are plenty of restaurants and pubs to visit within 30 minutes drive. Not too far from Cirenchester either! The accommodation is really nice, cosy and warm. We enjoyed the break here. The bed is really comfortable and you have all the utilities that you need to cook. Ros is a really great host, really responsive and was very helpful. Overall, a really nice location and would recommend to anyone who would like a long weekend away! Ideal for couples.

  • We had an absolutely wonderful stay in this little cottage in the Cotswolds. It was in a great location to reach from Bristol and not far from the arboretum and also the Cotswolds Water Park - both great for walking despite the weather. The kitchen had everything you need to cook whilst staying. The sofa and bed are both very comfortable. The whole place was exceptionally clean. I will definitely be recommending to friends. Roa was so super helpful - answering very quickly. Thanks for our stay 😁

  • We stayed for 5 nights over the New Year and it was the perfect little base for us in the Cotswolds. It's located in a very peaceful corner of Wiltshire with delicious pubs all within a 10-mile radius. The Wheatsheaf in Oaksey and The Potting Shed in Crudwell are delicious - the latter in particular is just unreal - and you've got Malmesbury, Cirencester, Gloucester and Bristol all within reach, too. You can do as much or as little as you like, here, and it's truly a home from home.

  • I highly recommend a stay at Jenny's place. It's a perfectly located staging post for access into the Cotswolds and all the beauty it has to offer. I enjoyed some lovely walks nearby as this was my first visit but, with the intention of returning again soon, I will be exploring further afield and still intend to stay at Jenny's. Crudwell itself is a lovely village and the local pub, The Potting Shed, is not only a great place to have a drink but also to eat. I didn't make it to the Rectory Hotel but, upon recommendation, I will be heading there for breakfast on my next visit. Thanks to Jenny and Gregor for their hospitality and for allowing me to stay at their lovely place. I hope you guys book a visit to this lovely part of the world soon.

  • Highly recommended venue! It is a beautiful house in a superb location. We stayed here for Cheltenham races, the host was amazing with supporting us with taxis and suggesting eating venues. The house was sparkling clean with more than enough space for 11 of us & all our cars.

    Zoe2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • We spent the whole weekend in this excellent property that was of a very high spec. It exceeded our expectations. One did not want for anything. Gorgeous stove in cozy sitting room which had 2 cupboards of games that we took full advantage of over a warm fire. The whole property was spotlessly clean. All essential services were well labelled easing the pressure of trying to figure out how services worked. The surrounding area is just beautiful. The provided maps helped us plan our daily walks prior to returning to a well equipped kitchen to cook up a feast.

  • Honeysuckle House is absolutely stunning, even better than the already fantastic pictures. It’s really well equipped, especially with plenty of kitchen equipment if you’ve got the full amount of guests. The location is great with plenty of pubs to pick from within quick driving distance. I couldn’t recommend staying here enough and hope to be able to stay again!

    Lucy2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • 12 of us stayed for a university friends reunion and it was the perfect space for us all to catch up and relax together. The open plan kitchen and diner was the best part of the house as we were all able to help cook and eat together without feeling cramped. Each bedroom was decorated beautifully and it really felt like being in someone’s home. We were so glad we chose to host the reunion in a house rather than a hotel. Whilst we didn’t leave the house all that much as it had everything we need we did venture to a local pub which was only a short walk away across lovely countryside. If your looking for a house to be with family or friends in the quiet countryside, this house is for you.

    Victoria2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Honeysuckle House is the perfect place, exactly as shown and described (if not better). We can’t wait to return for another long relaxing weekend, away from the hustle and bustle. Thanks again!

  • Really enjoyed my stay here - it had everything you could need tucked into this very lovely annexe. It was exceptionally clean and loved the way the room was decorated - it was really comfortable- good WiFi - lovely thick towels - comfortable bed - the milk in fridge on arrival was a nice touch. Completely self contained and parking right outside. Loved my stay here wished I could’ve stayed longer!

  • Charles is a great, friendly and welcoming host with good knowledge of the surrounding areas. The accommodation was exactly as described and even exceeded expectations. Would highly recommend.

  • Wonderful hosts who are very generous and accommodating. We stayed for 2 months and they were always trying to make our stay as stress-free as possible. The area is well located with great travel links despite feeling very peaceful. Charles is full of tips for the local area, oh and the dogs are very friendly!

    Abby2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • Stylish & comfortable barn conversion within reach of all the Cotswold villages. The barn is in peaceful surroundings so won’t be disturbed at all.. Your very helpful hosts will be very happy to help out with any questions at any point.

    Melvin2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing little space, very cosy and perfect for a trip for two! Charles is a brilliant host and the barn is in a great condition. Highly recommended!

    Marianne2019-12-21T00:00:00Z
  • We have stayed for a month whilst in the area for business, and found a welcoming and relaxed environment with all the facilities needed to be comfortable staying 'home'. Charles was on hand if needed to answer questions about the area and give tips - but after a long day, the perfect way to spend the evening was with a home cooked meal, a log fire and a good internet connection! Charles and Ali were perfect hosts and nothing was too much trouble.

    Judith2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • This is a real hidden gem and the perfect base to explore the wonderful Cotswolds. Charles is a very friendly host and has good knowledge of the area. The converted barn was perfect for me and my husband and our small dog. It is finished very nicely and was well equipped for our stay. The kitchen area was open plan with a small table and 2 chairs. Leading down stairs to an amazing wet room with heated floor. Then into a very spacious bedroom with wonderful views, we saw Deer every morning. The only slight downside was the radiator had been broken by a previous guest. We were provided with a small oil radiator which was ok but probably wouldn’t be enough during colder nights. The cosy lounge had a log burner which throws out lots of heat. The furniture could do with updating as we felt it let down the rest of the cottage. Overall we had a very nice, relaxing break and would definitely recommend this lovely place.

    Debbie2019-11-01T00:00:00Z
  • We booked this at very short notice and were very pleased overall with our stay. Charles was quick to reply and despite us arriving late due to travel, came and met us at the door and showed us around the cottage aswell as giving us tips for visiting local area. As we arrived in the dark it was slightly difficult to find but we followed the directions charles had sent and found our way fairly quickly. Cottage was warm and cosy with the added benefit of a fireplace for the evenings, the heated floor in the bathroom was particularly appreciated! It was in a lovely location with plenty of nearby walks which were great especially with the dog. Would have happily stayed for a few more days!

    Grace2019-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • Extremely comfortable and beautifully converted barn in a perfect location for exploring the cotswolds and Wiltshire. We had a wonderfully relaxing stay. Would recommend to all. Thanks again.

  • The flat is nicely decorated, cosy and in a lovely location but unfortunately we didn’t have a good stay. I don’t like posting negative reviews but the whole concept of Airbnb depends on honest reviews to help future guests. We had two main issues. Firstly the place was dirty. We were told when we arrived that the place had just been cleaned, and sure enough, the carpets were a little damp from cleaning. However there were bits of debris all over the place, indicating that no vacuuming had taken place. More worryingly, was the filthy bedding. As we were about to get into bed, we discovered the bedding was dirty with hair all over. We had to call the host at nearly midnight to ask for fresh linen. Our biggest concern was the unlocked door upstairs that leads into the adjacent property. How can you feel safe in a flat when a door leading into your space can be opened at anytime from the other side? We had to move the sofa in the living room to block the doorway on our side to stop the door from being opened while we slept. Unfortunately, contrary to the many reviews, we did not have a great experience and I hope these issues will be resolved for future guests.

Barbara has prepared the heating to be on before we arrived and the Loggia was very clean and comfy with all the appliances etc you could need. The location is great, close to so many beautiful villages and the proximity of the local pub the Wheatsheaf is fantastic! Dog friendly too and Frank loved the private enclosed garden space. Would love to come back in the sun!

  • The cottage is beautiful. Has a lovely old feel but the way it’s been refurbished makes it feel new as well. Was lovely and warm. Couldn’t fault anything about it in any way. Martin was a great host, always quick to get back to me on the couple of occasions I needed to speak to him.

Friendly local pub serving good food. Access to Cotswold Water Park, Thames Path, Kemble Airfield and Cirencester with its shops and restaurants. The annexe is great for couple. An additional (small) single bed can be added for two friends sharing or for parents with a child (travel cot available for babies).

  • Driftwood is a cosy cabin nestled in a beautiful garden, only 5 minutes' walk from the centre of Malmesbury. It was the perfect place for our weekend away! The cabin had everything we needed, with a fully equipped kitchennette (and milk for teas!), towels and shampoo, and even slippers and blankets! There is a powerful little heater that kept us warm and toasty in February. Sally and Tom gave us a warm welcome and loads of insider knowledge about things to do in the area. There is free parking nearby, and just down the road you can join the circular river walk. We'll be back in summer to enjoy the sunny patio and garden!

Tom & Sally are just the most lovely people you could meet. They thoughtfully provided lots of local tips & recommendations, we enjoyed some lovely dogs walks. Malmesbury is a fascinating place to explore. We also really enjoyed a delicious Sunday lunch at the Smoking Dog. All in all a lovely weekend break.

Handcrafted & thermally insulated shepherds hut with double bed, can be used all year around with wood burning stove to keep you warm & cosy during the winter months. It is wonderfully romantic. Come & relax, enjoy the peace, see the stunning sunsets, watch the deer across the field next to your 'own' secluded wooded space. It's a rustic experience.. the loo is no more than 200 yards away, & a bowl and pitcher is provided for a wash! Water heated by either the kettle provided or the log burner.
There are electricity sockets for phone charging. WiFi is not available but can be accessed in the vicinity of the yard/office. Water is in a 15 litre container, refillable a short walk away. Tea and coffee provided & a full English breakfast will be brought to you in the morning! If the weather is inclement, there are two folding chairs & a table at which to enjoy your breakfast, inside the hut. Please remember, we run a timber yard from our premises, making bespoke timber buildings, and therefore it is at its most peaceful here on a Saturday evening / Sunday! There is limited hot water in the loo but there is no provision for a shower and therefore 2 nights max suggested for everyone's benefit!...all part of the 'experience'!
There are some super walks in and around Tockenham, a peaceful village with a church and village bar on a Saturday evening.
  • This hut exceeded all expectations! We visited on a very windy weekend but this did not affect our trip at all as we were cosy and warm with the log burner burning! The hut was sparkling clean and had lovely little touches which made it so welcoming. The location is perfect for a relaxing stay and the added bonus was the incredible full English breakfast we had brought to us both mornings! The toilet is not a long walk at all from the hut and I 100% would recommend this place to anyone looking to access the countryside or Bath/ Bristol!

  • If you want to have a night away from the outside world this is the place for it ! Lush log burner, beautiful views and cosy surroundings. The hut was so clean and very comfortable even in the middle of November. Breakfast next day was absolutely delicious and brought to you in the hut. Highly recommend and will be returning !

  • Michelle’s was a good host with very quick responses and communicated with us great up to and during our stay. The hut was very warm and cosy once the fire kicked in, and the breakfast was delicious too. Plenty of basic comforts such as plug sockets, tea/coffee and towels were available during our stay too.

  • We just needed somewhere to stay after attending a local wedding but this place surpassed my expectations. Beautiful, comfortable and lots of thoughtful touches. Making good use of the cottage’s staggered layout, an attractive country-cream décor is brought to life by contemporary pops of blue alongside artwork of Malmesbury through the ages, evoking a sense of the cottage’s rich history as the town’s historic water mill. A small en-suite shower room with hand basin and toilet offers guests a good amount of privacy, plus there’s a full-height wardrobe for convenient storage. Following on up the staircase from Bedroom 1 to: First Floor Bedroom Two The cottage’s second bedroom is a spacious twin room that can be converted to a 6ft bed should you prefer. Bursting with light thanks to a bright bay window that overlooks the river below, here the cottage’s heritage shines through the exposed ceiling beams, with vibrant red fabrics giving an elegant pop of colour to the classic country colour palette. There’s a spacious double wardrobe and handy additional chest of drawers, plus a large bay window; the perfect spot to watch the river as it flows beneath. Head up the stairs to The Leat’s main living space: Second Floor The Kitchen/Dining/Living Area Found up the winding staircase on the cottage’s top floor is the open-plan living, kitchen and dining area; a light, bright space with views from every angle, offering a cosy spot to whip up a feast and put your feet up after a busy day exploring the winding honey-stoned streets of Malmesbury. A compact but well-equipped kitchen area greets you as you enter the space, with wooden worktops, slate flooring and country-cream units complementing the cottage’s heritage expertly. Perfectly kitted out with all you’ll need for a self-catered stay, there’s an electric hob/oven, microwave, small extendable dining table and plenty of cookware and crockery to make use of, plus a washing machine and freezer tucked out of sight in a small utility room at the top of the stairs. Leading on from the kitchen is the spacious living area, brightly lit by skylights and windows from every angle which flood the space with natural light. Attractive leather seating gives the living space a cool, contemporary feel, whilst exposed beams and country cream hues evoke a feeling of countrified elegance. Here, you can sit back and relax together (views into the kitchen mean that the cook of the group never has to feel isolated from the rest), or unwind in front of the TV, with plenty of DVDs to choose from. A set of small French doors at the far end of the room open up onto a pretty balcony area complete with outdoor dining set; the perfect place to enjoy the views of the river below, tuck into an al fresco feast or watch a traditional game of bowls, courtesy of Malmesbury Bowls Club next door. Family Bathroom An attractive white-tiled family bathroom, at the stairs end of the living area, features a bath and full-height shower, toilet and basin, flooded with light thanks to a bright Velux window. Outside The Leat is the ideal middle-ground for those looking for a peaceful escape with town on the doorstep, with everything you could need within walking distance. Forming the upper floors of the old Wynyard Mill, the River Avon lies at the very heart of the property (flowing directly underneath), framing the property’s frontage with beautiful riverside views. Although the cottage doesn’t have a garden, the upper floor’s balcony offers a welcome outdoor space where you can relax and enjoy the fantastic sights and sounds of the river flowing beneath. Malmesbury’s town centre is just a (very) short stroll over a traditional stone bridge from the cottage’s front door, as are numerous walks along public footpaths through the countryside that surrounds the town’s outer boundaries. A real benefit in this busy market town are the two parking spaces which come with the property, found on the driveway at the end of the Mill building.
Local amenities Although a car is beneficial for guests wanting to explore the wider Cotswolds area, The Leat’s location makes it perfect for those who’d prefer to leave the car at home during their stay. As well as a wide choice of shops, there is a regular farmers' market - held at the historic Market Cross every Friday from 9am to 3pm - a library, museum and leisure centre with pool. Food stores Malmesbury is well-equipped with a plethora of independent stores, eateries and supermarkets, making catering for your stay at The Leat a breeze. The Tower is complete with a ground floor kitchen/diner including a fridge, kettle, tea/coffee and hob, a first floor double bedroom and a sun terrace on top to sit out and enjoy the views. Winding steps lead up to the bedroom and sun terrace. There is a shower room with toilet, two separate WCs and various seating areas which are all shared with other guests. Expect to see many visits from the local wildlife on you door step! Watch deer in the neighbouring field from the tower top.

The village boasts the Bakers Arms, a friendly pub serving food which is only a few minutes walk away. There is also easy access to walks around the lakes and the Thames Path. The sculpture park itself has a seasonal tearoom open from 1st April to 30th September which serves cakes, hot drinks and lunches. There are ample walking routes and Go By Cycle hire is located at the far end of the village. The surrounding lakes have a range of sporting activities available including paddle boarding and the Wibbet inflatable on lake obstacle course is on the neighbouring commercial lake called Cotswold Country Park and Beach which has a shop and cafe. The village of Kemble is also a 5 minute drive away with a railway line to London Paddington available. Other local areas of interest include the cultural city of Bath and Cheltenham.
  • Our stay at the Tower was magical! We had a cosy evening reading our books by the log burning fire downstairs, then woke up cosy in the comfortable, warm bedroom to the sound of the rain against the metal, it was dreamy! All the little touches really added to it, cookies for either our cuppa, well stocked essentials for if we wanted to cook. The washroom and toilet were so clean and well maintained. I recommend a stay here wholeheartedly, we will be coming back!

Old Garden House is a recently renovated house with 2 rooms available, in the middle of the pretty village of Brokenborough, on a single track road just one mile from the ancient market town of Malmesbury. The twin room which is suitable for children or adults is cosy and comfortable with its own en-suite walk-in shower room. There are extensive views and many good walks from the house. The local pub 'The Horseguards' which provides good meals is a short walk away.
Old Garden House is a spacious airy house with 2 rooms available, the twin room and a Kingsize room, both with en-suite facilities. The house is set back from the lane and overlooks it's pretty garden to the rear. The rooms are large and airy with fitted cupboards for hanging space and chest of drawers to store clothes, each with private en-suite bath or shower rooms. It has been recently renovated so has modern insulation which keeps the house cool in Summer, warm in Winter. There is a large family kitchen where breakfast is served, and guests may help themselves to tea and coffee. Double glazed doors lead onto the terrace where guests may sit in the Summer, and there is a sitting room with TV which guests may use. Outside there is ample off-road parking. The property is well placed for visits to many attractions; Westonbirt National Arboretum, the gardens at Highgrove, events in Malmesbury and Tetbury, Polo at Westonbirt and Cirencester, motor racing at Castle Combe, Badminton Horse Trials and many more. There are many local pubs and restaurants, including our very own 'local' The Horseguards, a short walk down the lane.
We are one mile from the ancient market town of Malmesbury, well known as the home of Dyson Research and Development in the UK. The Abbey is well worth a visit, and has a memorial to King Athelstan who was based here in Malmesbury, and was the first King of Wessex, and round the corner from the Abbey are the Abbey gardens, a delight to wander round. There are musical events, concerts in the Abbey, and the WOMAD festival weekend is held in July. Many other events take place, a Kite Festival, History week-end, a visit to the Tourist Office in the Town Hall will give more information on the town and the area. Nearby there is Westonbirt Arboretum, glorious in the Spring and Autumn, lovely at all times of year, with music festivals available, and the Christmas Wonderland in December weekends, with trees lit up at night with fantastic colours. The gardens at Highgrove are nearby, and the Highgrove shop is in the middle of Tetbury, just 3 1/2 miles away. There are also many other gardens open to the public in the Summer. There is motor racing at the Castle Combe circuit, which is one of the prettiest villages in England, Polo at Westonbirt where the Princes can sometimes be found playing, and Cirencester, Golf at Westonbirt, Castle Combe and Minchinhampton, Horse Trials at Badminton and Gatcombe Park. Cirencester holds a two day Country Fair, and there are many more local attractions.

  • We’ve just come back from a lovely stay in this coach house. Really accommodating hosts and the extra touches such as milk in the fridge and chocolates made us feel special and welcome immediately. The accommodation was immaculate and stylish, within a short drive of pubs and different Cotswold activities. Couldn’t recommend this air B and B more!
