Good place to stay

Fantastic stay to say the least. Property is amazing and located in isolation to spend quality time. There's parking available. The only drawback out of natural reasons are the monkeys. There's a lot of them, day and night. We couldn't really stay out in the balcony for long though but it was a pleasant experience. Would definitely return for a longer vacation.

Recommended by one of our close friends, this place is exactly what we were looking for - Heaven in the hills. It's a beautiful cottage tucked in Landour, only a walk away from cute little cafes (Cafe Ivy, Emily's, Char Dukaan, etc) and Landour Bakehouse (Must not miss if you have a sweet tooth). The interiors are tastefully done which makes it feel like a home away from our own. Our host, Mala kept in touch with us from the start of our journey till the very end to ensure we have the experience we hoped for. Their caretaker (Hansi) was extremely helpful through our stay, she cooked meals for us and got us groceries from the market near by. Thank you, Mala. We are coming back more than just once!

One of the best Airbnbs I've stayed at! Mala's home in Landour is the perfect getaway from the city. Photos don't do justice to how beautiful this place is. There are two bedrooms on the ground floor and one on the first floor – all of them are spacious, have high ceilings, very comfy beds and an attached bathroom (with hot water). Our fav was the room on the first floor which opens to a balcony! There were 7 of us – and there was enough space to fit the 7th person on a mattress in one of the rooms. The living rooms acts as a great place to laze around during the day reading a book (lots of them here!), watching a movie, listening to music or playing board games. They have everything here. You'd probably head out for meals, Hansi (the cook) can make decent food as well. She made us some great paranthas for breakfast. Mala was very easy and prompt in our communication, and provided some great tips for things to do nearby. We'd definitely want to come back here soon!

Mala's is a lovely retreat if you want to get away for the madness of city life. It's a very comfortable house, warm, sunlit and Hansi the housekeeper looked after us beautifully. The house is conveniently located close to char dukan and Sisters bazaar with the Landour bakery and the famous Prakash stores. Great walks too. Will go again for sure.

Mala's place is a perfect getaway...Such an amazing place!!! Can't wait to get back!! The veiws are amazing!! It was like a peaceful retreat in the mountains with amazing veiws..Mala was an amazing host and the caretaker Hansi provided us with almost everything we needed for our stay..The house has been done tastefully.This was our first Airbnb experience in India and we were fully satisfied. Highly recommended!!

A beautifully done up home, quiet and serene, yet very close to Char Dukaan and its cafes. Hansi, the caretaker is happy to cook simple home food and takes good care of the guests. Mala is a wonderful host, very responsive to any queries. We wanted a family weekend in a nice, scenic place and got all that and much more...

Could not ask for more , our stay was perfect in every way. Beautiful house with every thing you needed and amazing location . The bedroom was like being in a tree house . 5 star all the way

If you're looking to stay in Landour, do Not miss this cottage. The Redburn Lodge is gorgeous, so beautifully done up - it's classy yet cozy. We were two couples staying here, and since the house has 3 bedrooms, the space seemed extremely indulgent for the 4 of us. It's a 10 minute walk from Char Dukaan - the hub of eateries. The caretaker Hansi is so sweet - she cooked and cleaned and took good care of us. Mala was only a phone call away and gave excellent suggestions. Two days were spent soaking in the nature around Redburn with cups of chai, and the relaxed beauty that is Landour. Thank you for everything Mala!

The property is a hotel.

The property is situated at an apt location. Not too far from Mall road yet away from all the hustle and bustle of the market. Pranav, our host stays at the property itself which allows the occupant to provide an instant feedback. Pranav is very polite and helpful when it comes to giving directions and tips to see the places around. On reaching there, we learned that breakfast is complimentary upto 150 INR per person. On knowing that we had exceeded the cost, Pranav was kind enough to take care of it for us. Because of the sprawling property that this is, Pranay has converted it into a homestay/hotel where you can order room service and ask to get your room cleaned everyday. The room service folks that he has kept are very warm and friendly. The food tastes like home. The chef is kind enough to cook it according to your taste.

The Himalayan Castle is a good British era property. It is located very close to the mall road and the taxi stand. The food served is good, the rooms are very spacious and the washrooms were clean. Most importantly, the host Mr. Pranav was very helpful and friendly. We were on our way when there was sudden snow fall in Missouri. He called us promptly and informed us about the road conditions and guided us accordingly. Overall the Himalayan Castle is a nice value for money stay option for families and groups of friends.

It is a lovely place and as shown on the website. The place is clean and the staff are courteous and friendly. It's a place for those seeking some quiet and great views.

It was a wonderful experience to stay at Himalaya Castle and we were looked after really well by Mr. Pranav. He was really helpful in locating the place which is nearby the Mall road. The view from the hotel is splendid and the rooms were neat and clean. We were served sumptuous meals throughout our stay. Thanks to apt location, we could trek up to Lal Tibba and Camels Back Road. Being at walkable distance to Mall road makes it easy to drop whenever we feel like. Highly recommended for families and friends. We are looking forward to stay at the same place in our next visit.

Secluded yet walk-able to the Mall Road, great location and views from the property, good value for money and comfortable stay

We really enjoyed our stay at Pranav's place. The view is gorgeous, rooms are neat and spacious, food is nice and the service is fantastic.

Worth your value, large area, near to Mall Road but away from mad traffic and walking crowd. Privacy is very good. Charming old hotel.

The host, Mrinalini, was very proactive in providing necessary information about the stay and the places to visit in Mussorie. Her mom, welcomed our group with warmth and made all of us comfortable. The stay was very comfortable and the assistance provided in terms of help with cab etc was very helpful. Hemanth, the help, is extremely courteous and always there to help. It was unfortunate that we couldn't spend more time with the hosts, striking conversations because of the tight schedule we had.

The place was very neat clean and I really enjoyed the hospitality and space. It was great for a family. However, the views were restricted and I thought it was expensive after adding taxes etc.

Having done Airbnb few times in the past we had assumptions of what one can expect ... However Mrinalini and Burra Bunglow delivered way more then our expectations ( wish we could give an extra star ).. To begin with Mrinalini's guidance was perfect to reach the place and everything was ready for our arrivals. The house is located just perfectly about 10 mins from Mall Road which makes it quite yet approachable to all amenities.. a special not of thanks to Hemant the care taker who was extremely helpful through out our stay. The house was neat and clean and Mrinalini had taken care of every minute details to make the guests stays comfortable... it was a shame we couldn't stay more then 2 nights ... but we promise to be back and stay more at Burra Bunglow ...

This is a lovely home in Mussoorie, away from the chaos of Mall road and the town and affording nice views of the valley. The house is perfect for families, with 3 bedrooms. There is a chef who can cook delicious home cooked meals, which we always looked forward to. Also, Mrinalini was able to connect us with taxis which are the only way to get around the mountains. All in all very comfortable and an extremely homey and hospitable stay

The Burra Bungalow is a lovely experience, old world charm, fine attention to detail, impeccable housekeeping, excellent service, a convenient location close to the Mall and Char Dukan, secure parking and a scenic view . Very useful tips helped us plan our itinerary to make the most of the 2 days that we had there. A bonfire at night made our evening.

We spent two nights at this lovely bungalow! The communication with mrinalini was clear and seamless right from the beginning. We hired the driver recommended by her and that turned out to be great as well. The house itself is very comfortable and cosy with all essentials provided. Hemant, the help was very courteous and helpful. The breakfast on both days was basic but yummy! Location wise the house is about 20 min walk from the mall. We had dinner on one of the days at the house and it was really good home made food customised to our taste. We also spent a few hours with Mrinalinis parents who live in the adjoining cottage and it was great listening to some of their stories. All in all - ideal for a quick getaway in the hills!

Just the perfect getaway if you're looking for a family trip to Mussorie. The bungalow is tucked away from the glimmering Mall road and yet is at an easily walkable distance from the Picture Palace. The morning view is amazing overlooking the Dhanaulti mountains with the birds chirpng and waking you up. The owners are extremely warm and nature loving, and a range of birds and small animals visit the house through the day. The rooms are done tastefully, with all modern amenities. The caretaker is warm and the food was 'like home.' It's a must visit!!

The Burra Bungalow truly deserves a 5 star in all aspects and was surely my best airbnb experience so far. It wasn't just the beautiful view and location of the magnificent bungalow, but also the hosts which made this experience absolutely amazing. The hosts made sure we had no difficulties at all and were extremely welcoming and caring. I would definitely recommend this property to everyone visiting Mussoorie and would surely be making another visit myself! :)
