Join me, a former butler for the Royal Family, for an exclusive etiquette class set inside The Rubens at the Palace, a historic hotel just steps from Buckingham Palace. Over afternoon tea, I’ll guide you through the elegant world of royal protocol, drawing on my years of service within the Royal Household. • We’ll begin with an introduction to the art of graceful greetings and proper introductions, the first impression of etiquette. • Next, I’ll guide you through the nuances of traditional afternoon tea—from choosing the correct utensils to the proper way to sip your tea—all within the regal surroundings of The Rubens. • I’ll open the floor for any questions and share fascinating anecdotes from my time as a butler to the Royal Family, offering a rare glimpse into royal traditions and behind-the-scenes moments. By the end of our time together, you’ll not only master the essentials of British etiquette but also experience a taste of royal life in a setting fit for a king or queen.

With a hot drink in hand from my favorite coffee shop, spend the morning with me, an experienced florist, learning the rich history of the Columbia Road Flower Market in East London. Stroll through the bustling stalls, selecting your own fresh blooms before heading back to my workshop for a hands-on bouquet-making session. • You’ll skip the crowds and enjoy VIP access at one of the busiest stalls at the market, and get insider knowledge on seasonal blooms and one-on-one advice along the way. • After picking up flowers, we’ll take a scenic walk down Brick Lane, soaking in its street art and vibrant atmosphere. At the studio, you’ll learn the art of spiraling and bouquet arrangement in an intimate workshop setting. • Our workshop wraps up with a Q&A, where you’ll learn expert flower care tips to keep your arrangement fresh long after you head home. Halloumi fries, indian dosa, english burrito, best grilled cheese in town, hot cholcolate and more ! The tastings change with the seasons :) ⚠ Hygienic measures : group of 10 people maximum. Hydroalcoholic gel before and after each tasting ! Food is life but safety first ⚠ In case of heavy rain the tour can be done on foot and by bus. :) Welcome to the good life ! Vegan Fish & Chips Cooking Class On Boat

I will meet guests at Canary Wharf and we will take the scenic route to my home. I live in a vibrant East London location full of amazing architecture and pretty water views and I will tell you what it's like to live in this part of the city. We will arrive at my little Dutch barge home which is full of historic charm and I will show you around and we can get to know each other! I am very chatty and love meeting new people so we will never run out of conversation! I will explain the ingredients we will use for my version of the traditional British dish of fish and chips, vegan style, and then we will start the cooking class. Vegan food is very popular in London and a good choice for those of us who want healthy, ecological and sustainable food without any animal products. My boat is cute and cosy and for this reason, the maximum number of guests will be 3. In warm weather we can sit upstairs on deck with views of the water and my lovely patio garden. I have plants everywhere! Our marina is private and guests are only allowed with residents permission so you will be secure and away from busy crowds. If you plan to drive here, we have guest parking spaces. After cooking you will sit down to eat the delicious food we have cooked! NB: Our boat is well ventilated and I will provide gloves and sanitiser as required. I have been fully Covid vaccinated too!

A Sri Lankan cooking experience with fresh pan-brewed Tea

Good food is good life. For me gratitude is the happiness you get from eating quality food. I will teach you how to make a Sri Lankan vegetarian starter called 'cutlet', whereby the spice level will be dependent on your preference. This is so delicious, especially with an authentic Sri Lankan cup of tea. Yes!! - I will teach you the right way to make a memorable Sri Lankan tea, just like my ancestors made it back home. I wake up in the morning smelling the luxurious aroma of freshly-brewed cardamom-flavoured Sri Lankan tea. Tea is grown in over 40 countries worldwide and it is the 2nd most drunk beverage after water. In fact there is a Chinese saying - 'better to go without food for 3 days than 1 day of tea'. The infusion of the ingredients in the right quantities placed in boiling milk mixed with the right ratio of water is what makes a good tea, taste simply extraordinary. Imparting this key knowledge is so special for me as it gives me the opportunity to share something that may become extinct if we don't pass it onto the next generation. I aspire one day to open my own tea shop, where I am hopefully able to serve the 'truly flavoursome' tea that I have relayed to you. After all, tea has several health benefits - it creates an atmosphere where people feel safe, calm and nurtured. Thereafter I will guide you how to make a lentil curry with 4 different types of lentils.

Groups of up to 14 will be personally be guided by me to 4 tap rooms enabling the inquisitive traveller to easily engage with my city's craft beer scene. This is a great event for private groups who qualify for discounts An accredited Beer Sommelier and Certified Cicerone® I will give you a tutored beer tasting where you will discover how sensory analysts and beer judges evaluate the qualities and styles characteristics in a glass of beer. You will also come away with knowledge of the beer styles that you are tasting, their history and evolution. This is a step up from a traditional tasting tour and elevates beer tasting experiences to another level.
