Comfortable Studio Type apartement located in the heart of Manuel Antonio. It is right in the jungle so you can enjoy the monkeys cruising in the morning, scarlet macaws flying around the property and so many other animals(Inluding our dogs and cats). Very mellow spot, away from the noise of the street. It has an outdoor space with grill and a dinner table. . Close to supermarkets, bank, bus stops and 35 min walk to the beach or 10 min in bus
Our property has different apartments and a main house. We are an Italian family of chefs, so meals are a possibility. From casual italian to fine dining, we can deliver it. We have a nice kitchen and space for dining in the main house where we offer the service. Breakfasts and Dinners are the options. Fees will variate depending the type of meal and number of pax. Why waste money when you have a semifinalist of the San Pellegrino Young Chef International Gastronomy Competition! ... check my website www.chefmanuelefratini.com or my instagram "cheffratini" to get motivated to try my food! .
Its in a classic costa rican stlye neighbourhood. Super calmed, no robberies, everyone is very chill and do not disturb. The biggest issue would be seeing a couple chickens running around the street! jajajajaja ... but hey! its part of the experience! ;)
  • We had a wonderful evening with Manuele- his home is walking distance to town and he had great tips about what to do in the area. He also cooked a delicious meal; all in all we had a beautiful evening and would definitely recommend to another person or couple traveling through Manuel Antonio!

  • The property is located near everything you need need for a stay near the National Park and beaches. Cold AC and comfy beds. Shared property with other travelers but if you are spending your time indoors, your are doing something wrong. Great value for the price. Wake up early to enjoy the morning breaking thru the forest from the terrace in back. Great host family. Would definitely return to visit the same property.

  • If you have little ones, they will love this place. You will wake up to monkeys swinging on branches in the morning. There is a ping pong table, waterslide, jacuzzi (water didn’t heat up so it was cold), and pool. It’s a great place if you have a large group. I didn’t know this was a multi-unit property until I got there. There was another family staying staying on the second floor and we can hear all the movements in the morning. There is a studio room which my brother and sister in law stayed in and there was no hot water so they showered in our unit. Not so easy to find, but there are signs to lead you to the tree top. Jorge was great. Always available to answer my questions via WhatsApp.

The Social 16 dorm room has 8 bunk beds that accommodate up to 16 people. As our most social, shared room type, you'll have access to a ceiling fan for cooling and a solar heated hot shower in the clean shared bathroom facilities. Individual lockers are provided for security, and your room key means that only others in your room have access to the space.
Manuel Antonio is a little cosmopolitan beach hub in the middle of the Pacific Coast transitional rainforest. It's divided into 3 main zones. 1) Quepos town, 2) Manuel Antonio hill, 2) the beach and National Park. The Hill Zone - The beachfront in Manuel Antonio is protected against construction within 200 meters of the high tide line. For that reason, you won't find hotels on the beach here (aside from a couple old ones that were grandfathered in). The vast majority of hotels, villas, restaurants, bars, groceries, cafes, and nightlife are centered at the top of the hills between Quepos and the National Park. This is the center of Manuel Antonio. It's hilly, but walkable. You can walk anywhere within 5-15 minutes. Téva is located on a 20 acre patch of jungle at the beginning edge of the Manuel Antonio downtown core. You can walk up our jungle trail and be at the top of the hill within 5 minutes. You can also access the pristine, small, hidden beaches from this area. La Macha and La Vaca are within hiking distance from Téva.
  • A very nice place, the road to reach the town was what I loved most, since that road is surrounded by nature. The place is clean and safe, it also has a great style, has its own kitchen to prepare food, the only thing I missed was a coffee maker in the kitchen, hence I recommend you stay in Tevas. Pure Life.

  • We had a fantastic time at Villa Lorena!! The location, the apartment itself and refreshing pool and surrounding beauty were amazing. We felt like we experienced what it was like to live in the area rather than stay in a hotel. There was so much to do and this location was ideal and an oasis after a day of hiking and exploring.

  • This was truly a Costa Rican experience! The accommodations were amazing for 2 couples travelling or a family of 4. Clean & everything you would need! We loved seeing monkeys, toucans, macaws & other wildlife, without leaving the property. It’s within walking distance to a fantastic beach (20 minutes) and less than 5 minutes to restaurants. You can also brave the walk to Quepos (no side walks) and a quick drive to Manual Antonio. Great vacation & amazing hosts! We would love to return!

  • If you want to relax by the pool while watching squirrel monkeys and capuchin monkeys run through the trees, this is the place for you! We couldn't have picked a better spot to spend our Christmas holiday while in Costa Rica. The space was very large and comfortable for a family of four and the pool was the perfect way to relax after a day of exploring.

  • There are already so many wonderful reviews so I will keep mine short. My family of five had an amazing time! Our kids are ages 8, 5 and 1. The older two had a blast exploring the mountain, feeding the horses and checking for eggs every day. We had to keep a close eye on the toddler but we do that anyways. Randy was so kind and helpful. He went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful time. All his tips and insights from where to jump in at the local waterfall to which beac would be best with the toddler was perfect. Thank you!

    Allison2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • Randy's property is great. It's spacious, well provisioned and way up in the hills away from it all. We really enjoyed the pool and watching the wildlife from the balcony. Our children got to ride twice with Oscar which they absolutely loved, and Randy and Oscar couldn't have been more helpful in arranging that - even though one of the days was a Sunday. Randy took us up to the nearby waterfall (Three Pools), which I'd recommend if you get the chance, and he also helped arrange a tour of a local Chocolate Farm for us, which was educational and very interesting. All in all, a fab time.

    Michael2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • This place is in a truly magical spot — it is, quite possibly, actual paradise. Randy and the local team of Oscar, Andrea, Magally, Herman, Pablo and Mauricio showed us the perfect Pura Vida experience, equal parts relaxation by the beautiful pool with the peerless vista, among the scarlet macaws, toucans, squirrel monkeys, and zillions of other critters in the forest around the house, and adventures near and far to the Sky Canopy and waterfall just down the hill to Manuel Antonio National Park in Quepos. By the end we were researching Costa Rica squatter laws.... You need to go there...now....

    Noah2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • For months before we arrived we were in contact with Randy. Once we arrived he was on site and helped us get settled in. He arranged all out tours and gave us advice on what to do and where to go. We say tons of Monkeys, Macaws, reptiles, toucans, and various other animals from the property. Someone in our group even saw a sloth! On our outings we saw sloths tons of other animals. We visited several waterfalls and my family enjoyed this very much. Randy had some inside scoop and we were a part of several baby turtle releases totaling about 200 tortuguitas! We had eight people in our party and the house soaked us up easily. Things to definitely do--Have Mauricio take you on a tour of Manuel Antonio--Visit Esteban at Playa Bandera which isn't fancy but is pristine and empty--Have Andrea cook for you(Amazing)--Zipline(scary and super fun!)--Waterfalls. Hang out with Oscar and eat some fresh fruit off the trees. Get up early and walk around the property with your camera. Unbelievable. Oh yeah, the horses are very fun! My wife and and have taken many vacations, this was the best hands down. I couldn't recommend this higher unless you are looking for some kind of all inclusive thing with night life next door. Thank you Randy from all of us!

    Vernon2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • A peaceful location, far from crowds. The house is well maintained and very clean - a comfortable holiday house for our 2 families. The photos give you a very good idea of what to expect. Randy makes an excellent host - he was highly responsive from the moment we expressed interest in renting. The house has a very peaceful setting, and the birds ensured an early start to the day. Expect visits from various lizards, butterflies, birds etc. Our highlights were the toucans and macaws. The best bonus for us was the ability to relax on the balcony/deck - with amazing views. Our kids also enjoyed horse riding a few times - something you pay quite a bit for at other places. We did use the chef service, and the food was excellent. I’d recommend using this service earlier in your stay, and we had a lot of left overs to enjoy on subsequent days. In my star reviews I marked down location description - this is because the AirBnB map is way off in where it puts the flag. (At the time of our booking) The property itself is 30 min inland from Parrita. Randy will help you to understand what to expect.

    Monica2019-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • Best accommodation we have ever experienced. A must visit!

    Mollie2019-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • Where to even begin?!? Casa Brisas delivers on all aspects! First, Randy is amazing. He (and his wife Claudia) were super quick to respond to any and all of my pre-travel questions making me feel at ease. He was such a huge help to our group. Every morning he asked what we wanted to do, and then made the arrangements for us. Every guide he connected us with was fantastic. He recommended a place to rent a car from - also top notch. The house, unreal! It took a little getting used to not having AC throughout the entire house, but there is a nice enough breeze on the mountain, that you do get used to it...there is AC in the rooms that you can put on at night to sleep and that was perfect. Saw so much wildlife at the property. Every morning we would wake up and take a walk - poison dart frogs, snakes, monkeys (both capuchins and the titis), toucans, iguanas...we saw it all without having to leave the house. Randy did an amazing job of being accessible, but also giving us our space. He took us ziplining and showed up with water for everyone at the final zipline! He also took us to a hike with three waterfalls (Tres Pilas) - so beautiful and fun. Andrea (the cook) was the sweetest person. She cooked for us one night and it was AMAZING! All the kids kept raving about the food. She also made juice for the kids one morning out of the star fruit the picked from the property. The kids loved the chickens and getting the eggs out of the coop every day. You must go for a horse back ride with Oscar. Such a fun way to see the mountain and some beautiful views. If you want to be near the hustle and bustle of a city, then this house is not for you. If you want to get the true Costa Rican experience, be close enough to any outings but feel like you are the only ones on the mountain, then this place is for you. I cannot recommend this house (or the host) enough. Normally, when I stay at an Airbnb, I do not want the host hanging around the property...but we were all truly grateful Randy was there for us - he didn't feel like a stranger at all! If you are going to Costa Rica, you would be missing out on quite the adventure/vacation, if you didn't book this house.

    Katie2019-04-19T00:00:00Z
  • We've been home from Costa Rica 3 days and still can't stop thinking and talking about our trip. Claudia and Randy's place was PERFECT for us. It is literally off the beaten path...well, up a steep, gravel road, to be exact! Don't let that scare you! This ensures peace, quiet, wildlife, nature and a buffer to the more touristy areas...just what we wanted. The house itself is big, beautiful, and has everything you need. It was just us and our 12 year old son, but I think it would be great for two couples with kids, too. The layout of the house is such that there are really 2 master bedrooms. The kitchen has everything you need if you want to eat in for breakfast and lunch and venture out for dinners, which is what we did. The pool is big, cool, and clean and we played a lot of water volleyball while there. Our son also loved the fooseball table. There is a lot of indoor and outdoor space to just hang out and lounge in...the balcony, outdoor couches, living room, walking paths, etc. Randy was very helpful and willing to suggest activities and make calls to set them up for us. Randy has never met a stranger and makes you feel right at home. We loved just talking to him and feel like we left Costa Rica with a new friend. During our week we rode horses (on property), went zip lining (only a mile away...no lines...incredible views), went on a sunset cruise/snorkeling trip in Quepos (amazing dinner and drinks on boat), played at the beach at Estrellios Oeste, ate dinner in Jaco, toured and made/ate chocolate at Iguana Chocolate farm, walked to a waterfall and jumped off the rocks into a swimming hole, and went on a Monkey Mangrove boat tour. Due to the close proximity of the house to the activities, we also had plenty of time to relax by the pool, read, nap in the hammocks, and head out to town to eat delicious seafood at the local restaurants. Claudia and Randy's property is beautiful and loaded with flowers, avocado, water apple, lemon, orange, mango, cashew, and guanoabana trees. We saw macaws, toucans, hawks, monkeys, toads, tree frogs, and numerous other birds we didn't identify. We loved staying at Claudia and Randy's place and would recommend with no hesitation. We hope to return!

Téva, which means nature, is a community space on 20 hectares of pristine forest that offers hiking trails, permaculture food gardens, botanical treasures, a jungle-view swimming pool, a top-notch Moroccan-Latin fusion restaurant featuring fresh, flavorful, healthy cuisine, social spaces for meeting other travelers, a yoga shala in the forest (coming soon), a wealth of local knowledge, a reliable high-speed internet connection, and opportunities to see abundant wildlife like scarlet macaws, toucans, and three species of monkeys, right from your window. The Shared Quad room has two bunk beds that accommodate up to four people. As our main economy shared room type with more privacy than the 16 person dorm, you'll have access to a ceiling fan for cooling and a solar heated hot shower in the clean shared bathroom facilities.
  • We were 2 adults and 3 children under 10 years old. We shared a room with two bunk beds (4 beds). Téva has great communication with me and helped with our booking. We absolutely loved the hostel. It was a great experience for the kids. The pool was great. The showers had amazing strong water pressure and hot water! Guests and staff were always generous and kind. (The only thing I had trouble with was not having a place to dry beach towels and wet clothes. We could hang things on the railing, but it rained and it’s too humid to really dry much. I asked for help one day with a dryer and they said it was not an available option. We went a whole day in wet clothes and no beach towels.) It is easy to find, and a short drive to the beach. They were kind enough to let us come back after check out and after our trip to the beach to shower one more time. We will definitely be back!!

  • A unique experience, the concept of Téva covers even more of a hotel. It is a connection with the environment, facilitated by the style and concept that only Téva gives you.

  • Toucan Garden Villa is stunning, the grounds are gorgeous and the house had everything we needed. Beautifully set up, great facilities and spacious enough for us all to not feel crowded. Jose was a really fantastic host, very responsive and helpful with organizing activities for us in the area. Manuel Antonio and Quepes are about 20-30 minutes drive away, but the setting of the house is so beautiful that it didn't matter. You definitely need your own vehicle while staying here . I was there with my extended family, 10 people, covering 3 generations and we all had a fantastic time. We literally couldn't of had a better family holiday and really hope to come back again

  • Fantastic property, beautiful grounds, view, pool. House is lovely and is spacious. Jose is very immediate with responses to any communication and is very welcoming and hospitable. He met us late on xmas eve so that we could follow him to the house. Bedrooms spacious and comfortable, all ensuite bathrooms and large living area inside and out. Saw toucans, macaws and humming birds and big colourful butterflies. About a 30 minute drive to beaches and national park but well worth the peace and beautiful environment and Jose also gave us useful parking tip and offered to show us around. We were all sad to leave.
