  • Divine - 10/10. This place is stunning, a real haven along with being spotlessly clean and modern with everything you can think of included. Jo was a great host, flexible with check in, responded immediately to any questions and left thoughtful touches in the house. We will definitely be back. Thank you.

    Georgina2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful relaxing location on a virtually private beach. Even in mid-winter I enjoyed two spectacular sunrises (before rushing back inside to warm-up). The bungalow is immaculate, stylish and surprisingly well provisioned. A few welcoming gifts put a smile on your face and Jo even made an extra effort for my birthday. Wonderful. Fully recommended.

  • If this amazing beech front property comes up on your search and is still available do not let it pass you by. Ivan and I had a fantastic 3 night stay for our mini moon. We needed true time out walks and fresh air. Ivan loves photography so he was out and and about and I had walks and just really chilled out. We took our dog Oreo who loved the beech front access to freedom and running meeting and playing with the other dogs. Jo and Joe are amazing hosts the property is better than the photos and when we arrived the additional special touches to welcome this newly married couple will be in our memories for life. Don’t let this little gem pass you by.

    Pevensey Bay, England, United Kingdom

St Patrick's Garden Apartment is a fully refurbished, private boutique apartment, with a comfortable bedroom/living room, kitchen, shower room and use of our secluded garden. Free and fast Wifi. We are only 20 metres from the beach and Pevensey Bay has good road, rail and bus connections. There is easy parking in our private road. The apartment has 24 hour hot water, a fully equipped kitchen with oven, fridge, microwave, toaster and kettle. We also provide tea, coffee, sugar, milk.
As you can see from the photos, we are lucky enough to live on the beach. The apartment has a bedroom/lounge with a small but well equipped kitchen. The apartment has underfloor heating. There is a small convex heater if the bedroom gets chilly and also a fan if it gets too warm! Please feel free to use our pretty walled garden, to enjoy a glass of wine or sit and watch the birds. There is a Samsung Smart TV, with Freeview, Netflix etc. The internet connection is good, usually 20Mps. In the kitchen you will find a map 'The McGuinness Guide to your stay in Pevensey Bay', it shows all the local amenities, attractions, sightseeing, travel, restaurants and anything else we could of think of that might be of interest.
If you don't want to cook, there are some great places to eat nearby. Pevensey Bay itself has a small selection of shops in the village, a short walk away, but there is an Asda 5 minutes drive from the house. All the major supermarkets deliver to our address. This area is a 'foodies' paradise and there are a number of very good farm shops nearby. Although we are located on the beach, to the rear of the house is a lovely half hour walk through fields to historic Pevensey Castle. Pevensey Bay and Pevensey itself have a number of pubs which serve food and have live music on a regular basis. At the end of our road there is one of the best curry houses in Sussex - The Raipur. Advisable to book a table in advance at the weekends, they also do take away. Eastbourne has it's famous seafront and pier, the Towner Gallery, three theatres and a newly modernised town centre. If you're looking for something a bit more cosmopolitan, Brighton offers the famous lanes, Royal Pavillion and many other attractions. Bexill has the De La Warre Pavillion and Hastings the historic fisherman's wharf. There are stunning walks along the South Downs for all walking abilities, and Beachy Head speaks for itself. Royal Sovereign Harbour is about half an hour's walk away and has a variety of restaurants and shops. Living on the beach, we are lucky to experience the sea in all its forms, from extremely low tides, to very high storms! It is an ideal location for windsurfers, kite surfers and paddle-boarders. There are also a couple of fishing charter boats that run out of the harbour or a spot of gentle fishing off the beach is very relaxing. During the summer months there are regular evening concerts at the Bandstand on Eastbourne seafront and also a Pevensey Bay carboot sale on a Sunday, ten minutes walk from the house and regular farmers markets in both Eastbourne and Bexhill.
  • A lovely place to stay for a quiet break, but with plenty of things to do near by. Good pub and restaurant within walking distance, and beach on the doorstep.

  • Sarah & Steve’s place is beautiful. Even better than the pictures. Great amenities and sparkling clean. The property is right on the beach and also easy access to shops and eateries, also very close to the bus stop with easy access to Eastbourne. Sarah checked us in and gave us information for our stay and also recommendations for places to eat. We had the most comfortable and peaceful stay and we would definitely recommend and stay again ourselves!

    Huda2020-01-26T00:00:00Z

  • this is a little gem of a place. even in the cold windy chill of end of Oct I still sat in their beautifully flowered garden with the sun on my face and drank my tea. the little personal touches here just make your stay so much more welcoming. the apartment has everything you could possible require and more. the bed was really comfy I loved the little tea lights of an evening giving an even more relaxing feeling. being a stones throw from the beach was lovely enjoying some long peaceful walks. the access was so simple and you could come and go. there are plenty of facilities walking distance from the apartment if you wanted a meal out or a takeaway. quiet little village. beautiful little apartment, wonderful hosts 10/10 for me. cant wait to stay again

    Nicola2019-10-28T00:00:00Z

  • Wonderful host. Great big room, with nice touches. Private car park. All house was super clean. Renata made us wonderful breakfast. Her husband gave us great tips for dinner. Both Renata and Dave were amazing, friendly, chatty, funny. They have wonderful dog and cat, both friendly and cuddly 😊. I would definitely recommend this stay to everyone.

  • Lovely place and very clean and nice smelling. Warm and friendly people to stay with. Great shower! Great location if you like going to the beach and perfect quiet area just out of Eastbourne. Train station not too far away if you like to go to Brighton for the day. Good of street parking. It is a bit of a squeeze to get in, but my extended van even got in there. They were even considerate enough to move their car to make it easier for me.

It is the "baby" of our Mews. Refurbished recently to a high standard with examples of the hosts eye for detail throughout. Small and economic, perfect for one but still a good size room comfortable enough for two if you don't mind to share the space. Recommended to a solo adventurer, Business traveller or leisure. The private entrance ensures that your stay is uninterrupted and you can come and go as you please.
Cosy Studio, small but perfectly formed with everything you need for a romantic gateaway.
A convenient location with local amenities on its doorstep such as the notorious "De La Warr Pavilion" and the Promenade offering stunning sea views along the coast towards Eastbourne and Hastings. A short stroll will take you to any kind of dining and drinking experience, plenty of cafes, galleries and boutiques. The property is only 10 minutes walking distance from train station which offers excellent links to London, Eastbourne, Brighton, Hastings and Ashford .
  • A wonderful place to stay. Brilliantly located near the seafront. Excellent host. Would highly recommend. Clean, modern, reasonable and as advertised.

  • Roberto was always quick and informative when replying to our messages. The property is perfect for a few nights having all the amenities one may need. Would recommend especially if anyone is attending for an event at the De La Warr Pavillion.

  • Little place but good value and just right for our night away to see Iron & Wine and Calexico at the De La Warr Pavilion (fantastic gig!). Couldn't have got much closer to the venue, all the amenities in town and the sea. The place was spotless especially the shower which looked brand new! Bed on the firm side but that suited us. Some footsteps can be heard from neighbours above but it didn't disturb our sleep at all. Check in / out super easy and good communication from Roberto - thanks! Went to Sobremesa for dinner - delicious! Had breakfast at Front Room - also very tasty.

  • This was my first time at staying at an Air Bnb, Les was an excellent host who provides an amazing room with a balcony view =D. He provided us with all the local information we needed and gave us the privacy as if we were in our own home. Definitely would like to come back again sometime!

    Chung Sing2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Nice place to stay for 2 people. The sea from the sea is also wonderful. There was a big market and restaurant right across the bridge. The Eastbourne station itself had to travel by bus, but the bus was not bad. The host prepared breakfast and passed by and talked a lot. The hostel was clean as a whole.

    수경2020-01-30T00:00:00Z
  • Les was a super host. Helpful, rapid response to questions and queries and welcoming. The room was very thoughtfully prepared too.

  • Les was very helpful during our stay. He was warm and welcoming. We felt comfortable staying in his lovely apartment. The apartment was lovely. Very tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. The views over the harbour were gorgeous. Due to the weather we couldn’t make use of the balconies. Les provided a lovely help yourself style breakfast. If you’re needing a place to stay in Eastbourne, I would thoroughly recommend Les’s apartment.

    Tracy2019-12-22T00:00:00Z

In the heart of trendy St Leonards the apartment is an ideal base to explore the area. Part of a Victorian terraced house but is self contained with outdoor space and its own private entrance. Free on street parking. It's a short stroll to the seafront and just 4 minutes walk from St Leonards Warrior Square station (direct trains to London, Ashford International & Brighton). I usually greet my guests but use key box if self check in needed. Got to Instagram @stleonards_pad for hints & tips.
The decor is retro and arty with a mid century vibe objets and art. The spacious bedroom has a super king size bed with a Nectar mattress, 4 pillows and additional blankets as cosy essentials . The comfortable sofa bed is located in the lounged only suitable for 1 guest. Children are welcome however the space is probably more suitable for older children or infants rather than toddlers. There is a fridge/freezer with complimentary milk and water as well as a kettle with a selection of teas and coffee. Please note there is no kitchen area/cooking facility. All can be enjoyed in your lounge, al fresco in your private sunny courtyard or at the beach. The bathroom has a shower and toilet. There are 7 steps to access the flat so it may not be suitable if guest(s) have limited mobility.
You are right in the heart of the vibrant and trendy St Leonards neighbourhood with cafes, pubs, restaurants, shops, vintage emporiums, art house cinema, live music venues and of course a few minutes from the beach.

Due to family circumstances, I had to cancel my trip at short notice, and the support I received was exceptional. I can't comment on the accommodation itself, but after my experience with the host, I can't imagine it would be anything other than brilliant. I hope to return at some point and find out - and hopefully thank Stephanie in person.

  • Great little hideaway, really good value for money and good communication from Stephanie at all times. Oh and the bed is lovely and comfortable - wish I had a bed like that at home :)

    Catherine2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely, stylish and super clean apartment in a very convenient location. Very comfy bed! And Stephanie was very efficient and helpful. Would definitely stay again!

  • We have such a wonderful stay at Stephanie's property. The smell when we walked in was beautiful, and the decor really quirky and tasteful. All the little touches (like the milk and fruit) were great, and the bed was one of the comfiest I have ever slept in. A great location with a short walk into Hastings and the train station is on your door step if needed. Would would recommend this stay to everyone and would love to return. Thank you!

  • This was a great little place, with fun little touches and excellently located for going to the de la warr pavilion, if you’re looking for somewhere nearby. The host was wonderful and went above and beyond what I expected with little extra touches.

    Alex2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • Marks apartment is something special. There are a lot of special thinks, handmade you only can love. The apartment is placed in the center , close to everything and still quite. The bed is good, everything perfect. You will love to have the apartment for holiday.

  • Very welcoming, everything you need. Great host, communicated back straight away. Loved the personal touch. Nice and quiet too.

    Lynn2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Flat was spotlessly clean & had all you could need. Mark is a lovely, friendly host, very helpful & thoughtful as the fridge had plenty of food from the local farmer's market. Flat felt warm & cosy & right in the heart of Bexhill on Sea. We would visit again without hesitation.

    Carl2019-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • Mark was just an incredible host. We could really feel the effort he made to let us enjoy our time at the wonderful apartment: High Seas. We feel very grateful for that and really ended up having the best time. After a couple of days, his lovely, cosy, warm and personal place felt completely like home for us that was hard to leave. Thank you and Fiona once more, dear Mark, to share your place with the world.

Large double room on top floor of 3 floor townhouse. Double bed with memory foam mattress and also a single bed iff required. Own private bathroom with bath, sink, shower and toilet. Use of amenities and kitchen. TV with Netflix, Sky Movies & Sky TV channels, along with BBC iPlayer, ITV Player, More4 Player & Channel 5 Player.. Superfast internet. Use of laptop. Park on drive. Close to bus stop. Next to beach. Close to bars and restaurants. Just me and my 15 year old son (and 2 cats) live here.
Very quiet cul-de-sac that backs onto the beach. Very quiet, often empty beach as all the tourists are 3 miles away on Eastbourne beach. Your bright, airy bedroom has 2 wide windows and is on top floor (3 floor property) on opposite side of house to the lounge (middle floor) so it really IS quiet.
Quiet cul-de-sac neighbourhood next to harbour and miles of quiet beach.
  • Perfect location, quiet and peaceful and Johannes is an amazing host.

    Christina2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Johannes and his boys are truly great hosts. Their kind and very respectful manner tops even the fanciest five star hotel and you will have an undisturbed retreat in their home, and you'll be treated to two very lovely cats. It's easy to relax and feel at home in Johannes's place and I would highly recommend it to anyone.

    Kathryn2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Johannes is the perfect host & would highly recommend. Communication fantastic & really accommodating to our needs. I had the best sleep ever, as don’t sleep well normally & our son who is 14 and Autistic really enjoyed his stay. The two cats are absolutely adorable & Lady Elsa took to us straight away. Having Films on Now TV was a plus too, (much to my partners dismay as I got to watch ‘The Meg’ which I’ve been wanting to see for quite a while 😁. We had our own bathroom which was very clean & the beds were comfortable. Thanks Johannes & hope to see you again soon 😊

    Lisa2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Johannes picked me up at the station because I had bad feet and sent me to the station on the day of checkout. The room is on the 3rd floor, but it was very spacious and comfortable. The TV in the room was the best to watch Netflix and movies freely. It is a bit far from the city of Eastbourne, but the bus stop is very close. Bus number 5 arrives every hour. It costs £ 2.90 each way. Eastbourne city is about 30 minutes away. There is a large shopping mall about a 10-minute walk away. If you don't have a car you need transportation, but there was no problem. I recommend it.

    Masanori2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • The environment was quiet and the location was great. Cheerful host as well, will recommend.

    Gerald2020-01-31T00:00:00Z
  • Joannes is great host, we felt very welcomed and the room and house was very clean. We only stayed one night but we were given directions to the nearby restaurants that are in easy walking distance. The area is very quiet and peaceful and quite scenic right on the coast. We felt very much at home thanks to the beautiful cats that joined us for cuddles. A great place to stay.

    Kieran2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • Johannes’s Airbnb is an ideal place to stay to enjoy the area around Sovereign Harbour. It is within easy walking distance of shops, restaurants, cafes and the sea!

This is a fifth floor(with lift) two bedroom/two bathroom balcony flat with fantastic views of the outer harbour, and onto Pevensey Bay, Bexhill and Hastings. There is a secure lock up garage with a dedicated car space. Separate fully fitted Kitchen + very pleasant sitting/dining room. Please note that Summer weeks(June to August) and Christmas and New Year weeks should be booked for a minimum of 1 week. Out of season 3 day short breaks can be taken...costing 75% of the weekly rate.
This is a spacious flat with 'wow' views...watching the boats coming and going in and out of the harbour. The second bathroom is in fact an en-suite shower room complete with folding shower seat. Most bookings and prices are for 7 days minimum but 3 day short breaks can be taken out of season at 75% of the weekly rate.
The flat is about 2/3 miles from the centre of Eastbourne, and there is a bus service into town. Nearby you can walk to the waterfront with restaurants and shops and views of the inner harbour.
  • A place to be calm and relaxed.

    Mark2019-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • Brilliant apartment in a great location. We travelled with our 18 month old son and it was perfect for a toddler.

    Laura2019-04-24T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent accommodation in every way. Lift to 5th floor flat with outstanding views over a harbour where there's always something happening. A few minutes walk from harbour restaurants and coffee - all at the bustling inland harbour, and 10 minutes walk from Asda/Next/Wilko etc. If you want to avoid using your car, hourly buses to take you into Eastbourne, or use the Dotto train which goes along the front past the pier. The flat is well-equipped, modern and very clean, with no noise from neighbours. We'd stay here again in a heartbeat. One very minor tip would be not to bring a large car - the secure underground parking space for this flat is against a wall with a tight turning circle, and although there are supposed to be visitor parking bays, in practice they were all occupied. However, it's easy to leave your car on a nearby road outside San Juan Court complex.

    Majed2018-03-03T00:00:00Z

  • This unit is enthusiastically recommended as to anyone visiting the coastline of SE England. We went to tennis matches at Eastbourne and saw world-class players up close. We had a great time touring small towns and local attractions. Had excellent meals within walking distance of the unit as well as at historic pubs in Rye, Hastings and Eastbourne. We rented bikes as an alternative to driving our rental car.

Check out is at 10am. Check in is from 2pm. THIS IS A STRICTLY NO SMOKING HOLIDAY HOME, PLEASE ADHERE TO THIS RULE We are trying to make our prices comparable with Combe Havens platinum with decking caravan but for this you get a 40ft x16ft lodge with more space and comfort. unlimited wifi, all the extra appliances in kitchen, travel cot, high chair, standard fan. Please check prices on Combe Haven first and then try AIRBNB they should come up cheaper but remember you will have to add the cost of passes, there may be a discrepancy in the pricing as Combe Haven give offers and the 4 nights and 7 nights Friday to Friday is difficult to match on AIRBNB, if this is the case please contact us and we can adjust prices accordingly. • A great place to stay! The hosts met us on arrival and showed us around. They'd left some lovely personal touches, e.g. chocolate buttons for our little boy, travel cot and high chair set up ready and a bottle of prosecco for me and my husband! The lodge is bigger than we expected and very warm, cosy, comfortable and peaceful. The space feels very private despite being on the Haven site. There is a well stocked shop, restaurant, a few take aways, big arcade, play areas and pools on site. The walk to the beach is about 10 minutes and then you can take a lovely walk along the coast into Saint Leonards and Hastings. Comfortable beds and we all slept really well (9 month old baby included!) We wouldn't hesitate to recommend and return.

  • Andrew's home was perfect for us. it was just as nice as the pictures, and had plenty of space for 4 adults. Kitchen was well equipped and it was sparkling clean. Pay attention to the information about how to find it. The place is huge with many chalets but this one is in a great location, quiet and near woods and a stream.

  • Gigi is a lovely host. Not only does she provide a fantastic place to stay, but her natural, warm manner and easy way with people means that you’ll feel welcome and cared for. No hotel customer service on earth can match the human attentiveness that you’ll get with Gigi. Thank you for everything.

    Matthew2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • A flawless place to stay. Calming, clean as anything and Gigi is amazing. Second time I’ve stayed here a year apart and just as good as last time! Would recommend

    Robert2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Gigi is a super lovely lady, takes an interesting in every guest that stays and gives you advice on where to go depending on your interest. Her home is clean and quirky and is so much nicer than staying in a bnb in town.

    Rose2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Gigi was such a lovely host. Her home was full of fresh air, plants and a cute named Alfie. The artist energy was tangible, with another artist staying there and Gigi being an artist herself. The outside garden is huge and varied, lots of flowers and a nice lawn. The ocean is a five minute walk with a lovely beachside cafe run by a few friendly ladies. The grocery is close as well if you are staying for an extended time, and it was such a relief to have a place to cook and prepare meals while travelling. Along the beach, you can walk either in the direction of Hastings or Bexhill. Both are amazing communities, but Hastings stole my heart with its old streets and vintage shops.

  • My three friends and I stayed for a night at Hilary’s place. It’s a really lovely, clean and stylish space with nice touches. The outside decking is a real bonus and we ate breakfast outside, even though it was a relatively mild March day! We stayed in for the night and cooked a proper meal, there was a good amount of utensils/pots/pans etc. It was really easy to communicate with Hilary and she responded quickly. I’d love to return in the summer to make the most of the outside space!!

  • Hilary’s place is warm, comfortable and inviting. It was perfect for me and my two kids. Communication was swift. I highly recommend Hilary’s place.

  • Hilarys place is lovely, clean, and cosy. Nice little touches such as a book with lots of local info and the scones and jam. We hope to come back in warm weather to sit outside on the deck!

  • A picture perfect stay in the heart of the East Sussex countryside! Beautiful location and very cosy space, Hilary is a great host who keeps in contact throughout and really thinks of everything when it comes to amenities as well. We had a great time exploring the areas, very easy to get around and some great places to eat nearby...will definitely be back!

  • Hilary was a great host, we stayed for 2 nights and there was a little disruption due to other guests on the first night, however Hilary messaged to apologise for the other guests behaviour. Little Pyes is set in a great location with fantastic countryside views. Overall we had a fantastic stay and would recommend to anyone.

Nestled amongst the trees, our little wooden cabin transports you to the great outdoors. Its simple and honest interior comfortably sleeps two with wide views overlooking woodland where nature abounds. It provides the perfect base for those looking to get out amongst it, or those that would rather stay in and enjoy a relaxing retreat.
The comfortable double bed is positioned so you can enjoy a morning coffee whilst watching the wildlife through the window. The bathroom with its huge walk in shower has amazing views of its secluded, tranquil surroundings so you can shower with nature for a uniquely memorable experience. During the warmer times of year the cabin opens up to its serene setting offering the perfect escape from a busy life and the chance to explore the country side. On those cooler, rainy days (or for those that would just rather stay tucked up in bed) you can watch the wildlife outside the window through our binoculars whilst staying firmly under the blanket. We provide you with a delicious breakfast and there is tea and coffee making facilities in the cabin as well as a small kitchen. The nearby farm shop and cafe (2 min walk) sells delicious local produce as well as some very tasty cake!
  • What can i say! We came for a quiet few days away from the big smoke and we wanted to stay for ever! This was one of our most memorable stays on Airbnb to date. Everything was thoughtful arranged. From the snack on arrival to the yummy breakfast provisions; the super comfy bed.,The snug and cozy setting in the woods, the location and the access to the farm shop was also convenient. We will definitely be returning! Highly recommended!

  • A beautiful cabin and setting, the perfect place for a couple of days away. The hosts were extremely welcoming and helpful, and the cabin was well kitted out with provisions, as well as the lovely farm shop at the top of the hill. Would recommend to anyone.

  • A perfect cabin in the woods! Thoughtfully designed, with a comfortable bed, great bathroom and an outdoor fire pit. The location is secluded with a great view of the woods and pond. Our hosts were welcoming and helpful with everything we could need. The breakfast and everything provided were amazing, all supplied from the local farm shop. Would happily recommend to anyone.

    Jack2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful cabin. I spent a couple of nights here by myself and, aside from being slightly spooked at night, I felt very calm and grounded when I left! The space is really wonderful and has everything you need for a few days. The woodland outside is gorgeous, and there are some nice (and muddy!) walks nearby. The shop and cafe at the farm are great - the cafe is very popular so get there early if you want to visit. Bed was super comfy and I loved the fire pit and the visits from the sheep!

    Francesca2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely loved our stay here. Even though the weather wasn't great it added to the experience as was so cozy tucked away from everything. The facilities were amazing and the breakfasts which were provided were delicious. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing weekend away.

The apartment is situated directly on the beautiful St Leonards seafront within a historic Grade II listed house. The house was built by James Burton, the original architect of St Leonards-on-Sea in the year 1830. The holiday let is accessed through its own front door, down a flight of steps from the street. You have your own front door and the flat is completely self-contained.
The front door opens into the lounge, where there's a wood burning stove available for guests to use during the colder months. We have a bluetooth speaker for your use and a TV with Chromecast in addition to a conventional ariel. A large and comfortable sofa bed pulls out to accommodate up to two extra people at a cost of £10 per person, per night. The living room curtains have blackout so that sofa surfers can sleep soundly. A high chair is available on request. The bedroom is a romantic and calm retreat and is very quiet. The king sized bed is made from memory foam, the bedding is pure cotton. Blackout lined curtains help aid restful sleep and underfloor heating keeps the room cosy in colder months. A selection of teas and fresh coffee, milk and our home made granola can be found in the small but fully equipped kitchen. Step outside the kitchen back door and into the private courtyard, perfect for an al-fresco breakfast or an evening in. Smoking is allowed outside in the courtyard, please let us know if you would like to smoke in the courtyard and we will leave an ashtray out for you. Dogs are very welcome at the apartment. They are allowed to go leash-free on the beach at this end of the seafront, and along the coastal path all the way to Bexhill. This walk is particularly rewarding at low tide. If you plan to bring pets please send us a message when you book with the doggy details of your stay. Please do not hesitate to get in touch with any queries, we are always happy to answer any questions you may have.
We are at the Western end of St Leonards Seafront, perfect for lazy days or bracing walks on the quieter end of the beach. A pleasant amble along the seafront will bring you to the numerous antique shops, boutiques, cafes and bars of central St Leonards and Norman Road. These include the lovely St Leonards Pub, Delicious tequila-based cocktails at Cactus Hound, arty film and events at Kino Cinema and the Michelin-bib-awarded St Clements restaurant. A longer walk will reward you with the classic seaside attractions and old world charm of Hastings Old Town. Take the funicular railways up to West Hill for stunning sea views over the town. Once back down on the beach, you can purchase fresh fish from huts located amongst the largest beach based fleet in the UK. Along the seafront in the other direction, merely two minutes from your front door is the newly re-vamped Marina Fountain free house, with its brilliant wine list, comprehensively stocked back bar and delicious plates of food. The pub is family and dog friendly and hosts live music and DJ events at the weekends. A little further along the road is a good parade of shops, that includes a large convenience store for basics, the excellent Appleyard's butcher and East Sussex Fruits.
  • Matthew’s pace is lovely and we had a great time staying there. It’s in a great location to explore St Leonard’s and surrounding areas. The flat is lovely and clean with all the necessary amenities. We love the little touches; milk in the fridge, homemade granola, the log fire and the under floor heating in the bedroom is lush! Highly recommend and I know we’ll defo be back.

    Jo2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful, well finished, cosy place to stay in a great location right opposite the beach front. Matthew is a wonderful host who made every aspect of our stay seamless.

    Naomi2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Great little spot, and perfect for a weekend getaway. The log burner was a great touch on a very stormy night.

  • We really enjoyed our stay - we had a great time.

    Dawn2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • This is an amazing little place, a real gem! Everything was just right for our stay, the log burner was great for the cold evenings and it was warm and cosy with the central heating as well, plus the luxury of underfloor heating in the bedroom. Decorated beautifully and very clean, we enjoyed the home made Granola and there was everything we needed in the fantastic little kitchen. The bedroom is so quiet and the bed is so comfortable, we slept really well, even through the two storms of the month. The courtyard is lovely and would be a great space to sit in the good weather. Directly opposite the beach we loved long walks and cycling along the promenade, and the bike route to Bexhill. Matthew and Sue are great, available and helpful without being intrusive. Absolutely fantastic stay, highly recommend it.

    Carol2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • This is a perfect place to stay especially with a dog. The sea is right on your doorstep and a short walk to st Leonard’s. Doggy treats was a nice touch. Homemade granola looked nice but unfortunately I think they forgot to leave us some milk so we couldn’t try it. Bed is very comfy. Would love to go back in the summer.

This gorgeous holiday cottage has stunning sea views and a garden leading directly on to the beach. Tides Cottage sleeps up to six in three bedrooms, each of which has a kingsize bed and a TV. So this is a great option for families, friends or colleagues sharing. These bedrooms are all on the lower (entry) floor, with the open plan living space upstairs featuring the WOW-factor views.
Exclusively Eastbourne's Tides Cottage has an ideal location, set just off the beach in the heart of Pevensey Bay. There are some great restaurants within an easy walk, such as the popular beachfront 'Moorings', and the 'Happy Dragon' Chinese. You can grab groceries at the nearby M&S Simply Food or there is a huge Asda just a mile away in the popular Sovereign Harbour area of Eastbourne, where there are more restaurants, cafes and shops. There are some great walks to be had locally and the South Downs are just a short drive away. If you're keen to bring your furry friend, dogs are considered if adult and neutered - please discuss with us in advance (supplement applies). The stylish lounge area boasts floor-to-ceiling windows, which slide open to allow you to step out on to the balcony and really soak up the sea views. And if you want a closer look at the boats or stars, there is a telescope on hand. There is a big sofa and two armchairs for relaxation in front of the smart TV (if you can tear yourself from the view) and if you're enjoying a winter break, the log burner is ideal for a cosy evening. The contemporary kitchen has all the appliances you'd expect, including a double oven, fridge-freezer, microwave and dishwasher. Coffee lovers will appreciate the Nespresso machine and milk frother, and there is also a wine cooler for those who prefer their tipples stronger. A dining table seats six. There are two bathrooms - a shower room downstairs and a family bathroom upstairs, which also has a cupboard housing a washing machine and tumble dryer. To the rear of the house is an enclosed patio garden with an outdoor dining set. This side of the house gets the late afternoon sun. However the best feature is the beach garden in front of the house. A storage area includes cushions for the outdoor chairs so you can enjoy the sea views in comfort, and this also includes a BBQ and even a drinks fridge! WiFi is provided plus towels and linen, although please bring your own beach towels. There is space for two cars to park in front of the house and garden. Bookings run from Saturday to Saturday in peak season, although short stays and flexible arrival dates are available last minute and out of season.
Pevensey Bay is a quiet seaside village just a few miles east of Eastbourne. It has a lovely tranquil air, making it a perfect spot for a beach retreat. There is a selection of shops, restaurants and bars in the village, plus Sovereign Harbour's Waterfront area just a mile away - with more options and a huge Asda supermarket.
  • Wonderful relaxing stay. Great apartment with relaxing panoramic views of the sea. Great fish and chips in the main road. If you have a low-riding car like my Audi A5 (with roof box), watch out for the concrete “girders” in the road in front of the house...park in one of the side roads to be cautious.

    Jonathan2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is truly amazing, all the bedrooms are large the view is breathtaking, thank you so much for sharing your beautiful space with us .

My place is close to The heart of St Leonard's on Sea, with its cafes, restaurants and independent cinema. The beach is 5 minutes walk away, as is the station, for trains to Brighton, London and Ashford International. Hastings Old Town, with nightlife, quaint shops and fresh fish caught daily, is a 30 minute walk along the sea front. Hastings Pier, newly renovated, is a 15 minute walk along the sea front.. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travellers.
Your bedroom is very large and bright, and sunny in the morning. Our patio garden is a real suntrap for most of the day, with the sun streaming into the kitchen. We are only 5 minutes walk to the sea, and 2 minutes walk to Norman road, with cafes, antique and vintage shops, art galleries and an independent cinema. We are less than 5 minutes walk from st Leonard's warrior Square station, and 2 minutes walk from London Road and kings Road, with a baker, greengrocer, chemist, cash points and supermarkets as well as numerous charity shops, cafes and pubs. There is free parking on nearby streets and on our road after 6pm and at the weekends, but parking is at a premium and it is not always easy to find a space outside the house.
Have a look at the guidebook I am putting together - see further down in Guest Resources

We live in an attractive, quiet residential area of West Bexhill a few hundred yards from the main A259. We're just a few minutes drive 1.4 miles (2.3km) from the town centre or one mile inland (1.8km) from the sea front - a brisk 20/30 minutes walk depending on your walking speed!). Bexhill is a quiet seaside town dominated by the wonderful De La Warr pavilion which showcases some great events throughout the year . There are lots of interesting individual shops; an abundance of charity and second hand shops as well as some super places to eat! The sea front is attractive and cycle friendly with cycle paths on the promenade through to Hastings. There's an excellent local pub (the Denbigh) about 10 minutes walk from our house. Past and present local events include the brilliant Roaring Twenties day in Bexhill, the Bexhill Carnival, the Bexhill Festival of the Sea and Pirates Day in Hastings. Do note that the Denbigh pub is on the A259 - street lighting on the pavements both on the A259 and our own road can be quite poor at night if you choose to walk to the pub rather than drive, so if returning in the dark, a torch can be provided on request.

Surrounded by rolling countryside, stunning views and amazing sunsets, The Piggery has all the ingredients for a perfect, relaxing, countryside break in this beautiful part of East Sussex.

The space includes an open plan living and sleeping space, with wood burning stove, TV, DVD player, a selection of DVDs and books, king size bed with Egyptian cotton bed linen, comfy fire-side armchairs and dining area. A separate well-equipped kitchen with integral oven and hob, fridge, microwave and enough equipment for a full roast dinner, is provided, along with a cafetière for morning coffee - bringing your own favourite coffee. Olive oil, salt & pepper, tea, sugar and instant coffee is provided. A pretty cottage style bathroom with full size bath and over-bath shower, completes the accommodation. Outside, the Piggery has its own private garden space, with views over the valley to the rear and area of lawn at the front with table and chairs for summer time dining and deck chairs under the pear tree to enjoy summer evenings with an obligatory glass of Prosecco! The garden is stock fenced, gated and dog-proof for doggie guests. Parking for the Piggery guests is close to the accommodation. The wood-burning stove is supplied with a basket of logs, more logs available to purchase from the farm on request at £6 a bag, or you are welcome to purchase your own logs for the fire locally. Up to two well-mannered dogs are welcome. Please advise us if you are bringing a dog. Dogs must be kept on a lead outside the Piggery’s garden due to other pets and livestock on the farm. Poop must be cleared up after your dog - poo bags are supplied! Muddy walks are part of the fun for doggie guests, but please make sure dogs are clean and dry before going indoors, a hose and shampoo is available on the farm, bring doggie towels for drying off and cleaning paws before cozying up by the fire. Please note that smoking or vaping is not permitted within or outside the Piggery, or anywhere within the grounds of our farm. 20% discount for NHS staff - please message before booking
The Piggery is situated in a remote, rural, but not isolated location, equidistant from Battle, Hastings and Bexhill. We are ideally located for exploring the historic market town of Battle, Hastings Old Town, Bexhill and Rye. The highly regarded Plough Inn, Crowhurst, is within walking distance and a range of other fabulous pubs and eateries in the local area. To make the most of our glorious rural location, the Combe Valley Countryside Park starts at the head of our driveway, with wonderful country walks to explore and a chance to see a variety of birds and wildlife.
  • Amazing, peaceful location. We all loved it. Great for Dogs too.

  • Gemma was a super host and the place was beautiful and sparkling clean. We loved the fire and the coziness of the place, especially on a stormy night! The thoughtful touches made it super homely.

  • It’s was a lovely welcome and a beautiful little cottage. Loved the location and had a really lovely stay Thank you

  • The Piggery is a cozy cottage with everything you need for a country get away including a super comfy bed! The local pub was very welcoming to us and our four legged friend and the food was really good, about a 20 minute walk awsy. We did not have good weather so could really make the most of the countryside but was able to enjoy the views. Gemma is a great host and provided lots of useful information. A great place to away from it all or as a base to visit the local area.

    Clare2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place, very cozy little house with the nicest view over the fields. Gemma was very kind and helpful. Sussex is so beautiful. We loved it

    Sofia2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • A unique stay at a beautiful little hideaway in lovely farm land. Our host was excellent and the Piggery was beautiful and cosy. We loved it and hope to be back soon.

    Eric2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely place to stay and much bigger than the pictures! The bed was super comfy and the armchairs perfect to relax in after a day out. The weather was cold and windy during my stay but the Piggery was warm and cosy especially once the wood burner was lit. There are also plenty of blankets and throws should you need them. Its in a good location near both Battle and Hastings and an easy walk to the nearby pub and Combe Valley Countryside Park. Thank you Gemma for a great stay.

    Sarah2020-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • Great stay at the piggery with my partner & our dog. It was clean, quaint & Gemma was welcoming. A little off the beaten track but beautiful surroundings. Make sure you pack a pair of wellies in the winter as it was a rather boggy walk to the pub. Unfortunately the heating didn’t want to work on our last night but Gemma was quick to offer to fix it. This is a great place to stay if you want a chilled time away.

It is a perfect appointed Ground floor Studio Flat where you can relax and with its own private entrance. Refurbished recently to a high standard with examples of the hosts eye for detail throughout. Perfect for a getaway for two, business, leisure or for a solo adventurer.
Self contained property at Ground Floor with own private entrance
A convenient location with local amenities on its doorstep such as the notorious "De La Warr Pavillon" and the Promenade offering stunning sea views along the coast towards Eastbourne and Hasings. A short stroll will take you to any kind of dining and drinking experience, plenty of cafes, galleries and boutiques.
  • A very cute little flat:) at first my boyfriend and I were worried it was going to be too chilly as I mean... February is a bit of a strange time to go to the beach for a weekend away anyway! But we were pleasantly surprised at how toasty and warm the radiator made the entire room! The bed was super super comfy and the shower was lovely too. Very nice location, slightly set back off of the windy high street, overall had a great weekend and would definitely stay again. Thanks Roberto!!! Xx

  • This is a decent air b n b. Clean - simple, no worries.

    Simon2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Roberto's studio is the perfect place to stay if you are attending an event at the De La Ware Pavillion, which is literally a 1 minute walk away. The studio is clean and has everything you need AND bed's super comfy. I'll definitely stay again if I've got an evening event at the DLWP.

    Michelle2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • It's a great little studio studio for a night or two in Bexhill. Really convenient for the town centre, seafront and the pavillion. Access to the flat could be nicer, but it was fine. It was lovely and clean and had all the handy features like microwave, kettle and toaster. Roberto was great, very communicative and helpful in the lead up to the stay. I'd definitely recommend it as a perfect spot to crash for a night or two.

    Tom2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I were attending an event at the De La Warr Pavilion and the studio could not have been nearer. Although the studio is located on one of Bexhill's 'busier' streets, it is tucked away behind shops and as a result you hear no noise from traffic or people. The studio was spotlessly clean and thankfully warm as it was bitterly cold outside. There was plenty of hot water and had everything you should need for a short stay. Communication with Roberto was excellent.

    Michelle2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Robertos place was perfect for our needs. Two minutes walk from the De La Warr, which is why we were in Bexhill and close to town centre, shops, bars a restaurants. Roberto provided excellent directions and we found easily accessible free street parking 5 mins walk away. This Airbnb offers stylish accommodation which is quite, warm and cosy, tucked away but right in the heart of everything. We would definitely use again, thankyou Roberto.

  • Apartment fitted out to a high standard very convenient for the promenade and De La Warr Pavilion. Good places to eat nearby.

    Jonathan2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Cute and cosy place to put your head down for a night or two when visiting friends. Bathroom is quite small! Those of a larger build will find it a challenge (I am ~55kgs and found it a little tight). Roberto was kind and friendly, great host.

Light, bright and airy room that overlooks the front garden and has a single bed with underneath storage space, a chest of drawers, futon style day bed and a laptop friendly workspace. My home is ideally located in a quiet neighbourhood, just a 5 minute walk to the sea and several oceanside cafes and retail park with Tesco, M&S, Boots. The beach offers a scenic view of Bexhill and Hastings as well as a lovely route along the shore, which is perfect for a refreshing walk or bike ride.
The quiet, small town location and immediate access to the beach makes this room ideal for anyone looking for a short or long-term stay or work retreat. You are welcome to use my kitchen and spend time in my garden. Carparking is available on the road in front of the house as well. You are welcome to bring your bike it can be locked in the shed overnight.
My place is close to the iconic De-La-Warr pavillion in Bexhill and in the other direction St. Leonards & Hastings which offers many interesting shops, cafes and the Jerwood gallery. The new Hastings pier is nice too. A seaside cycle path joins them all up. For Keane fans the Soverign Light Cafe is about 35 minute walk from here (URL HIDDEN) Quiet residential road. Within easy walking distance of beach & Ravenside retail park which has Tesco, Marks&Spencer, Boots, Halfords, B&Q and 24 hours garage close by.
  • Both Gigi and her home are so wonderful and warm! I booked a long-term stay with her and found the bedroom to be extremely comfortable, spacious and relaxing. There's also a laptop-friendly workspace for anyone who plans to get some work done while on holiday. The bathroom and kitchen are spotless and Gigi is very generous about kitchen usage as well. One of the best parts of my stay was the location—her home is just a few minutes walk away from a quiet strip of beach, several lovely cafes that overlook the water, and a large Tesco grocery store. Gigi is an excellent host who is always happy to chat, offer her help, or share some veggies from her garden :-) This is a perfect place to stay for anyone who wants to relax, unplug and be by the sea!

We love this area so much we live on the street ourselves! Being high up on the cliff affords spectacular sea views without the traffic noise you find on the seafront. Just down the road are the beautifully restored St Leonard's Gardens which are perfect for an afternoon read or summers day picnic. Along the seafront there are great places to eat and drink, pristine beaches and the recently restored, award-winning pier. The historic old town is a further walk along the front via crazy golf, ice cream shops and quirky shops.

A cosy bright flat situated 5 minutes away from the seafront and St Leonards train station. The guest room has been used as a mediation room for a while so it is calm, with no TV I'm afraid but access to plenty of books to either buy or have for free. I have a cat so must be cat friendly. I have plenty of local knowledge about best places to go. Perfect for single travellers, preferably female as I am female, and for those wishing for a nice relaxing break to write, read, meditate.
I live 5 mins away from the train station and from the beach. My flat has a lovely calm vibe and the area is fairly quiet. I practice yoga and Buddhist chanting daily which may account for the Zen feel! ;) It is small but cosy, light and airy. I do the best I can to keep my space tidy and filled with positive energy. Apologies, but I no longer provide breakfasts.
I live 5 minutes away from the seafront and 5 minutes away from St Leonards train station and an hours train ride from Brighton. There are lots of coffee shops and little independent shops right here in St Leonards and a few nice pubs and places to eat. There is a fantastic Kino cinema just around the corner from me and an excellent yoga studio on Kings Road. Hastings town centre is a 10 minute walk away and Old Town 25 minute walk away. Old Town & Hastings are renowned for their vibrant music scene and there is live music nearly every night of the week somewhere.
  • Alice is a very hospitable and helpful host. The location is in a very easy part of St Leonard’s for local transport and close to the station and the seafront. I enjoyed staying there especially with the company of her black cat.

  • I had a great stay at Alice’s. The place is as nice as the pictures. It’s very cosy and spiritually decorated. A great location, close to the old center, the seafront, but also at a good distance from lovely places nearby. Just enough to have a good vivifying walk. Alice gave good advice on what to visit and where. I’d recommend it for a 2-3 days stay !

    Stephanie2020-02-04T00:00:00Z
  • My stay at Alice’s place was exactly what I was hoping for. A quiet, gentle spot to rest and think while traveling on my own was such a luxury to experience.
