  • Beautiful house and location. Good response. Didn’t meet Heidi but clear instructions left about check in and out process.

  • Great property, good communication and flexible check in and out. Would recommend to anyone wanting a large property in the area for a celebration.

  • Simply a stunning place to stay, perfect for 16 people. Close to Blenheim Palace for walks and exploring Woodstock. Thoroughly recommend popping into Charlbury for Sunday lunch at the Bull Inn too. The pixie hut is exceptional and was a phenomenal surprise birthday bbq dinner for my guests. Truly couldn’t have been a more special weekend. Heidi is also a delight and couldn’t have been more helpful or accommodating. Thank you for everything!

    Laura2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • We had 12 people and had a great stay. Loved the house, walking to Blenheim, and especially hanging out in the arctic lodge!

  • Gorgeous place. In a lovely area. Highly recommended

  • Such a brilliant Airbnb! The house was beautiful, very stylish and had everything we needed. There was plenty of room for everyone to stay and lots of bedding. The location was great, right on the Oxfordshire Way for walking and the village was very picturesque. Heidi was really helpful, offered flexible check in and out and gave us lots of tips for enjoying the house and the area. Would highly recommend!

    Jasmin2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • From start to finish Heidi was a pleasure to deal with, and the house is just incredible - we knew it would be nice but the photos don't really do it justice, it's an exquisite place. A wonderful, fun-filled weekend was had and we'd recommend the place to anyone.

    Jenny2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a great stay at Hollyhock house for my sister's hen do. Heidi and her husband were very helpful and thoughtful. They were very laid back and let us check-in and check-out when it suited us. The house is spacious and lovely, the grounds are gorgeous - we loved the hut, and the location is great - we went to The Crown in Woodstock and into Oxford punting. Only thing I'd say is the house could do with a few more showers. Would highly recommend

  • A stunning little cottage with plenty of room for parking. The cottage was well equipped I loved the finer details i.e fresh flowers in every room. The breakfast bundle was great, lots of selection and not to mention it was spotlessly clean inside. The butchers and shop down the road are fantastic, we had takeaway fish and chips from The Tite Inn on Friday evening upon arrival and that was delicious. If you’re looking for something to do I highly recommend visiting Heythrop Zoological Gardens - we fed the tigers a must do although you do have to book in advance. Will definitely stay at Claire’s place again if in the area.

  • Beautiful setting quiet and nice village shop with great cheese and butchers.

    Burnadette2020-02-28T00:00:00Z

  • Lovely cottage in a beautiful part of the Cotswolds!

    Rachel2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely cosy little cottage in a great village. Pub and shop are both a 5 minute walk away, just a short drive from local town Chipping Norton. Claire and her husband were excellent hosts, even when we disrupted their Friday night when google maps took us the wrong way to the cottage!

    Lauren2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • A perfect Cotswold getaway!

    Anna2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Great place for a winter break; log fire in the living room; beautiful walks in the surrounding countryside.

    Justin2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely two days in Claire’s place. The cottage has a convenient, large parking space and Chadlington is a lovely place to stay. It was an easy base to visit other villages like Stow-on-the-Wold and Bourton-on-the-Water if you are keen to explore. It was very clean and a comfortable size for two people. I recommend Claire’s if you are looking for a trip to the Cotswolds!

Bespoke, handcrafted cabin with beautiful fixtures and fittings and stunning views.
The ever changing spectacular views, amenities in our lovely village, really friendly welcoming people and so much to do in the local area.
  • Beautiful space to stay in the Cotswolds! Would highly recommend this amazing cabin, the wood burner makes a lovely snug cosy space to have some downtime and the facilities are amazing! Perfectly clean and easy check in!

    Amie2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • Really nice cabin to get away from the busy city with a beautiful view. Would highly recommend.

    Mattie2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely place to stay when visiting the Cotswolds. Sally was great at communicating, making sure we were ok during our stay. The local pub in Chadlington, The Tite Inn, did nice food and is only a 5/10 minute drive away. We also visited The Hook Norton Brewery and did the tour - 100% recommend. Even during a January weekend the cabin was very warm and cosy - one tip would be to bring wellies as the short walk up to the cabin from the car is a little muddy.

    Lauren2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderful weekend we have just had. The perfect place for a relaxing cosy weekend away, thank you so much!

  • The Granary was great for a weekends stay in the Cotswolds. Beautifully done up and perfect for exploring the local areas. The place is cosy and ideal for couples. Sarah was a great host and was on hand easily for everything. She made sure the house was warm and heated before we arrived on a cold and rainy night which was a lovely touch. I would highly recommend anyone to stay in the Granary!

  • Had a great stay at the Granary.. Perfect location, really comfortable bed, and a fantastic shower! The weather was predictably poor during our stay (February!) but it didn’t bother us one bit, in fact it was a great excuse to kick back and relax in the Cottage! Sarah is also a great host, highly recommended. Will definitely return.

Rural views from two cosy, quiet double bedrooms. Sit by a lovely pond visited by birds and dragonflies, and bats at dusk. Ancient village with 12th-century church and an old village pub serving excellent food. 2 miles from station— trains take 1h14m to London, 12m to Oxford.
Osborne House, built around 1790, is situated on the edge of the Cotswolds and is the perfect base from which to explore Oxford and nearby Blenheim Palace. You have at your disposal an entirely self-contained two double bedroom apartment attached to our family home but accessible via its own separate entrance, so you can be as private as you wish. On the ground floor is a newly-fitted kitchen and a comfortable sitting area with TV. Wireless internet access is available throughout. Upstairs there are two lovely bedrooms, the first with views towards the village church, and the second looking out over neighbouring fields. Both have double beds, and a separate single mattress can also be made available if required. There is a new bathroom with a shower over the bath; towels are supplied.
Church Hanborough is among the prettiest villages of its size in Oxfordshire, set amidst gorgeous countryside, with invigorating walks through fields and woodland, and all just 20 minutes' drive from the dreaming spires of Oxford. The Hand and Shears pub is next door where lunch and evening meals are served (see their website for a menu). They also do very good takeaway fish and chips.
  • My daughter & I stayed at Christines for 5 weeks as we were moving to the UK, Christine couldn’t have been more helpful or accommodating to us, her tips and advice on the local area were invaluable. The cottage is gorgeous great location (5 mins from Woodstock & Blenheim Palace) warm comfortable beds & has everything you need for short stay or long stay like ours. I would highly recommend a stay at Christines, if I hadn’t just bought a house 5 mins away I would stay again!!

    Jill2020-02-06T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Christine's place was my favorite stay during our 10 day vacation to UK. She knew dinner on Christmas Eve would be hard to get and she reserved a table for us at the pub next door, Hand and Shears. We had an enjoyable evening there and I highly recommend the pub, the food was good and the staff was very friendly. Christine went above and beyond to communicate with us before we arrived. She had more suggestions for activities than we had time. The country side is beautiful. Her place is very homey, the beds are warm and comfortable (December). I will return and spend more time in Church Hanborough and at Christine's.

    Garth2019-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • Totally loved our stay at Christine's place. The house is lovely, clean and quiet. A real gem. The garden and views are beautiful. Fantastic pub right next door. Just 10 minutes away from Blenheim palace. We'd love to book again for next year.

    Kath2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • Christine’s place was absolutely perfect for an escape to the countryside. The immediate surroundings—the house and garden—are more beautiful than pictured. The bedrooms are light and bright and provided amazing views of the village and surrounding fields. There were three sheep in the field behind the house and a gorgeous, friendly little cat in the garden. The living room was comfortable and provided travel information for the surrounding areas, which we made use of. The kitchen was well stocked and there were a couple treats in the fridge. And the pub next door has excellent fish and chips. I would definitely stay again.

    Melody2019-09-12T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely time at Christine's. She was full of helpful hints for our trips into Oxford and the flat was perfect for our needs.

    Alison2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic, tranquil location that’s great for children. The Hand and Shears pub is right next door and serves good food. We also took walks along public footpaths to neighbouring Freeland and Long Hanborough that both have good pubs with outside seating for lunches and dinner.

    Peter2019-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, lovely atmosphere, beautiful garden, and a wonderful host. Christine gave us many useful hints about the area, how to get around, and historical insights. She was wonderful, everything worked well, and the apartment was perfect for us. Great stay, and we’d love to return.

    Jesse2019-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • I could really feel the British mood. The garden was beautiful and the interior was small but spacious and clean. Thank you so much for explaining Oxford. It was a good memory to remember with the children.

  • Cute little cottage! Overall very clean throughout. The bath is a good size, and a lovely place to unwind after an afternoon walking. The heating works well, and the area is very quiet. The fire is wonderful, although you'll need kindling, which you can get at the local petrol station. The host doesn't provide any.

  • Lovely cottage. Set in a beautiful part of England. Quiet, calm and perfect for long walks to pubs, getting warm by the fire and exploring Oxfordshire and the cotswolds!

  • We stayed at Lisa’s cosy cottage for 4 nights and had a really lovely time. The space is small but perfectly equipped and exactly what we were after for a romantic get away. The place was immaculate, perfectly presented and lots of lovely little touches, and the cottage is situated in one of the prettiest villages in the Cotswolds. We couldn’t fault it and really enjoyed our stay. Thank you so much! Ex

Two wonderful pubs (Royal Oak, Ramsden & The Plough, Finstock) within easy walking distance. Other attractions nearby include Blenheim Palace, Daylesford Farm, Burford, Bicester Village ... and so much more. Having lived here for 27 years, we would be pleased to discuss 'things to do and places to see'.
Originally a 17th Century stone building, The Barn is a private, snug retreat with an interesting history! It is an ideal spot for four people wanting to explore the Cotswolds, or an artist, poet or academic in need of solitude. The Barn has been frequently-used by friends and family, so is well-equipped for visitors, who have been delighted with its unique ambience!
We live on the edge of Ramsden village, a particularly pretty Cotswold village, in a Conservation Area. Take a look at Ramsden Village's website. Walking and biking (for all levels) are right on the doorstep, with shopping, dining, numerous local attractions and events within easy reach.

Welcome to Causeway Cottage, brought to you exclusively by Character Cottages, local specialists in stylish, Cotswold holiday rentals. Causeway Cottage is a delightful Grade II listed property which sleeps six guests, in three well presented bedrooms, with two bathrooms. Dating back to the mid-17th century, the property has an abundance of character features including exposed wooden beams, a stone mullion window, terracotta tiling in the kitchen and two inglenook fireplaces, one of which has a wood burning stove. To complement these traditional features, the property has been finished in a contemporary style with the addition of modern facilities such as wireless internet access, a Smart TV and a well-equipped kitchen. Built from original Cotswold stone, Causeway Cottage has a beautiful exterior to match its interior, with a wonderful wisteria trailing across the porch and living room windows, and dormer windows on the first floor which offer lovely views across the garden. The enchanting garden is an excellent spot to socialise with friends and family in the warmer months and there is off-street parking for up to three cars on the gravel driveway. Causeway Cottage is situated in the heart of the picturesque village of Old Minster Lovell, an unspoilt village with a mixture of attractive thatched and Cotswold stone cottages. The village benefits from a well-regarded pub, the Old Swan, which prides itself on its use of local ingredients, and the 12th century parish church of St Kenelm is just a short walk away from the cottage. Alongside the church lie the extensive ruins of Minster Lovell Hall, a former 15th century manor house which is now a Grade 1 listed building maintained by English Heritage. Old Minster Lovell is also home to Minster Mill, a luxury hotel with a spa and restaurant which members of the public can utilise by appointment only. The larger residential settlement of New Minster is just a ten minute walk away, with another popular pub and a local shop. Located within the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, there are many local walks and cycle trails to explore, including those along the River Windrush which flows through the village itself. Old Minster Lovell is well placed for visiting many of the charming towns and villages of the Cotswolds including the medieval market town of Burford with its wide range of eateries, and the scenic village of Bourton-on-the-Water, often referred to as the “Venice of the Cotswolds” due to the many arching bridges which cross over the River Windrush. The popular tourist destinations of Blenheim Palace, birthplace of Winston Churchill, Cirencester and Oxford are within easy reach for day trips. Important Customer Notice: - Special Events: Christmas, New Year and the Cheltenham Horse Racing Festival are Special Events, with bookings typically limited to weeks only from a specific start day If your dates don’t appear to fit, then please click Contact Host below to find out what options may exist for you!
The front door opens into an entrance hall with hooks for hanging coats and a boot rack for muddy wellies. The following rooms are located on the ground floor: Living/dining room: This bright, dual aspect room is a warm and inviting space and has a wealth of character features including exposed wooden beams and original wooden flooring. This spacious room contains an inglenook fireplace with cosy wood burning stove, a three-seater sofa and two leather armchairs. There is also a wall-mounted Smart TV with DVD player, a small selection of books and board games, an ornamental inglenook fireplace and a wooden dining table which comfortably seats six; Snug: Adjacent to the dining area is the cosy snug, a peaceful spot offering wonderful garden views through the beautiful stone mullion window. This area contains a comfy leather armchair; Kitchen: The well presented country-style kitchen has striking exposed beams and terracotta tiles and is ideal for home cooking. It contains an electric Aga (available in the winter months only), an electric oven with four-ring induction hob, a fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, Nespresso coffee machine, cafetière, kettle and toaster. There is also a large larder and a wooden breakfast table with seating for six; Utility room/cloakroom: Contains a washing machine, tumble dryer, toilet and wash basin. A spiral staircase with a handrail leads up from the inner hall between the dining area and kitchen to the first floor landing, off which are the following rooms: Master bedroom: Overlooking the garden and country pub opposite, this spacious dual aspect bedroom contains a super king size bed, chest of drawers, two bedside tables for storage and wall hooks for hanging space. There is a bright, contemporary ensuite bathroom which contains a bath with overhead rain shower, toilet, wash basin and heated towel rail; Bedroom 2: With exposed wooden beams and views across to the village pub, this tastefully decorated bedroom contains a king size bed, chest of drawers, coat stand and hooks for storage, as well as a wall mirror and a pretty window seat and wooden chair; Bedroom 3: Overlooking the street below, this cosy bedroom contains two single beds, a chest of drawers, coat stand and small selection of books; Family bathroom: The spacious family bathroom contains a large walk-in rain shower, toilet, wash basin and heated towel rail. The stunning south facing garden spans a third of an acre and is mostly laid to lawn with a variety of mature trees along its border, giving privacy from the village playing field beyond. Directly outside the kitchen there is a paved patio area with an outdoor table with seating for six, as well as two comfy chairs looking out over the lawn. The patio is bordered by a low dry-stone wall, which itself is bordered by fragrant lavender, and in the late spring the gorgeous wisteria and climbing flowers add splashes of colour to the Cotswold stone exterior. A second patio can be found beneath the mature trees at the side of the garden and this area contains a charcoal barbecue and two sun loungers. Just off the driveway is a double garage which houses a large table tennis table and croquet set. The gravel driveway has off-street parking for up to three cars.
The Cotswolds are characterised by attractive small towns and villages, built of the underlying Cotswold stone (a yellow oolitic limestone). In the Middle Ages the wool trade made the Cotswolds prosperous and some of this money was put into the building of churches, leaving the area with a number of large handsome Cotswold stone "wool churches". The area remains affluent, which has encouraged the establishment of many high quality pubs, restaurants and antique shops.

  • A charming annex to a home in the picturesque town of Charlbury. The accommodation was perfect, much bigger than we expected, and the hosts were friendly, hospitable and extremely thoughtful (provided us with the basic necessities- tea, milk, biscuits, and more- wine! upon arrival.). They were always on hand to assist with anything and regularly inquired as to our needs. A really great central location close to shops, transportation and pubs! We will miss you, Robin &Linda!

  • We loved our stay at the cottage and will return. It was sparkling clean, very high spec, lovely location and the hosts are lovely. Our miniature Dachshund loved the place too, especially the big garden and local walks. Sheena was very helpful and quick to respond to a couple of questions we had during our stay. They left us to ourselves but were on hand if needed. The shower is AMAZING, the bed very comfortable and we made a couple of delicious meals using the excellent kitchen. We highly recommend this place and will no doubt return at some point this year.

Situated in a quiet location in the village of Stonesfield, Little Chestnut Cottage is a great base from which to visit Blenheim Palace, Woodstock, Oxford and explore the Cotswolds. Stratford is less than an hour away if you want to go a little further afield. The village is just over an hour away from London yet surrounded by beautiful countryside and there are plenty of walks straight from the door across the picturesque Evenlode valley.
Little Chestnut Cottage is completely self-contained and is just across the driveway from our own cottage. It dates back to the early nineteenth century and was built as an outbuilding for animals and grain but has now been converted to provide a lovely place to stay for visitors to this area. Downstairs is a comfortable bedroom, spacious bathroom and a fully equipped kitchen. Upstairs is an open plan sitting and dining area with the original wide floorboards and oak beams.
Stonesfield is located in beautiful west Oxfordshire on the edge of the Cotswolds. The village is completely surrounded by countryside and is very close to Blenheim Palace (3 miles). It has a good pub The White Horse which is open Wednesday to Sunday (www.whitehorsestonesfield.com) and a convenience store with a post office. The market towns of Woodstock, Witney and Chipping Norton are all less than 20 minutes drive away. Little Chestnut Cottage is in the oldest part of the village and a short walk to the river Evenlode. There are lovely walks in the local woods and North Leigh roman villa is about 20 minutes walk away. The Oxfordshire Way runs through the village and longer walks into the grounds of Blenheim Palace are straight forward by following this footpath.
  • We had such a lovely stay in Theresa’s cottage. It is so homely and warm whilst also having modern amenities. It benefits from a great shower, excellent heating, dishwasher, big TV, comfy bed but also has the wooden beams and traditional features throughout. Great location for visiting oxford, Blenheim and surrounding villages. We had a great meal one evening in Woodstock which is very close by. We stayed for 2 nights but could happily have stayed for more. Theresa was a great host, very friendly and had left eggs, bread, milk, freshly squeezed orange juice and even some fruit for us which was a lovely touch. We highly recommend and will definitely look to stay again on our next visit.

    Brad2020-03-12T00:00:00Z

A very warm and modern flat right near the centre of town. We have a spacious single bedroom available. The flat is shared with a very tidy and sociable gentleman, Mark. We aren’t often home so it will feel like you have the place to yourself. Ideal for midweek stopovers or short stays.
We have a brand new bathroom and an open plan kitchen / lounge area.

Charbury is a lovely Cotswold town, and our house is hidden in the middle. The little wooden cottage has a totally modernised interior. Open plan living space with kitchen (all mod cons), Sky TV (inc sport & movies), decked balcony & the bedroom is ensuite. We are 5 minutes walk to the local station where you can get a mainline train to London Paddington which takes 1 hour 15 minutes. We are very close to Soho Farmhouse and Daylesford.
Charlbury is that rare thing - an unspoilt Cotswold town. Off the beaten track, yet easy to reach; sought after, but down to earth too. Sequestered down winding B roads, Charlbury nestles on the Oxfordshire edge of the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. A town centre in characteristic local stone is joined by an attractive tangle of more modern developments, attractively perched on the side of the Evenlode valley. There's always something going in Charlbury, as the crowded noticeboards demonstrate. Talks in the Corner House, live music at the Shed and the Rose & Crown, guided walks, bustling churches, summer festivals, cricket and Morris teams - and that’s just to scratch the surface. The charming Brunel station has direct trains to Oxford and London; the shops include a well-stocked and perpetually busy Co-op supermarket. Come for the weekend, and prepare to be enchanted by our friendly little town.
  • Our stay at Helena’s was very nice. The location is great and the house was very comfortable. We had everything we needed. The washer/dryer was a bonus.

    Nancy2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely annex in a beautiful garden with great amenities - perfect for a weekend away in the countryside. Helena is a great host.

    Michael2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • The accommodation looks good in the pictures and did not disappoint. Lovely and warm when we arrived, very comfortable and well equipped. Charlebury itself is wonderful, excellent local pubs and walks.

    Kim2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely spot and great for walking!

    Lisa2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • The chalet is very cosy and stylish and has all you need together with a great location. Only a few minutes walk to 4 pubs and the local deli shop is lovely, and Blenheim Palace is a must. It was a clean and toddler safe space, it was just a shame it was wet so we couldn't make use of the decking. Helena and her husband were friendly and response and had a travel cot and highchair ready for our little one. We would happily return and spend maybe a week there in warmer weather.

    Diane2019-12-23T00:00:00Z
  • It was the perfect base for our trip. The location was ideal, just steps from the main village crossroads with the local deli, shops and pubs, but the cottage was also cosy and welcoming so we didn't feel we had to be out all the time, and were able to use the kitchen to make meals and to relax on the sofas. We were impressed by the homey touches like fresh flowers and vintage posters. The long horizontal layout made it feel really spacious. Communication was speedy and easy, as were check in and out. We'd definitely recommend Helena's place and would return to explore more of the Cotswolds.

    Marina2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • What a beautiful cottage! The place is sparkly clean and nicely equipped, we enjoyed our stay very much. Helena and Martin was really helpful with setting up the pack N play and high chair for our toddler. Highly recommended !

    Phoebe2019-11-18T00:00:00Z
  • What a charming luxurious cottage it is! Surrounded by beautiful nature in an ideal location in the heat of Charlbury, still very quiet and peaceful. There are so many things to do in the area, perfect for couples, families and friends!

  • Such a lovely stay at the hide hut. We only went for one night but could have easily stayed for a week! The log burner made it very cosy and it was perfect with the view of the woods. We went for a lovely walk and to an excellent pub called the Lamb Inn which I would highly recommend. A relaxing haven!

The sunny south-facing guest suite is in our home in the heart of the village close to Oxford with great road, rail & bus links. A short walk to the station for a 10min ride to Oxford (& London trains), and plenty of woodland/country walks from the front door and red kites often circling overhead. Blenheim Palace and Park is very close by. It's a great base for exploring Oxfordshire & the Cotswolds. The village has 2 CoOp's, a post office, fish‘n’chip and pizza takeaway, and good pubs with food.
It is a bright, well-appointed, self-contained and well-equipped two-room flatlet on the first floor. It comprises a lovely large double bedroom (en suite) with a connecting door to a roomy private living room with kitchenette. The bedroom has a good quality iron-frame double bed and mattress (190x130), and old pine chest of drawers, wardrobe, well-stocked bookshelf and bedside tables and lights. The compact ensuite has a quality shower, WC, basin and chrome ladder radiator. Train station an easy walk to travel to Oxford and Blenheim just a short drive, as was the pretty town of Woodstock where we ate one evening. For nearer food and drink we also used the village pub which was a pleasant short stroll away. All in all a very enjoyable experience.

  • Fabulous little hideaway in a stunning corner of the Cotswolds. The Bothy is stylishly decorated, spotlessly clean, super comfortable and communication with Juliet was faultless. The Bothy backs onto the beautiful Wilcote Manor and is a quiet and secluded little spot overlooking the gorgeous grounds. Juliet was brilliant in helping us with our visit, sending lots of useful information in advance and greeting us and showing us around upon arrival. She left some provisions in the fridge for us for the morning too which was greatly appreciated. The space itself is lovely - very clean and stylishly decorated. All beds were comfortable and kitchen was well equipped. We would highly recommend the Bothy for a spot of rest and relaxation!

    Caroline2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • What a lovely few days stay in The Bothy. So much character & history to the place. Such a wonderful countryside location, and with the Cotswolds on your doorstep, just waiting to be explored. As a birdwatcher, the Oxfordshire area is known for its Kites, and with binoculars at the ready, once again, I wasn’t disappointed! The accommodation was just perfect. It was spotless, fresh, with beautiful bed linens, soft towels & all that was needed to make it a home from home. Having forgot to bring butter, the welcome pack was very much appreciated! Nothing was too much trouble for Juliet. Such a wonderful host, wanting to make sure you had everything she could help you with, should you need it. Another visit will certainly be on the cards. Just hope it will be sooner rather than later. Thank you so much once again Juliet 😊

    Lorraine2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay over the weekend in The Bothy. My daughter described it, as like staying in a 5 star hotel. Spacious , clean and warm. Very tastefully decorated and loads of space so my teenage daughters and I all had our own space. Also lovely touches of hospitality like leaving bread, butter, milk and eggs for breakfast and having the wood burner set up to light. Juliet was also very welcoming and very helpful. The best AirBnB we have stayed in.

  • Comfortable, quiet, centrally located (bus stop to\from Oxford just near the front door). Welcoming and gracious hosts. Ye olde English style house with modern amenities. Unbeatable value.

  • It was so nice to stay at Charlie’s house. Very friendly family. House is so clean, warm and we have had everything what we needed. Beds very confortable. Room good size. Big bathroom always clean. Area is beautifull close to shops and town centre. Close to know Oxford, Blenheim Pałace, Minster Lovell ruins. Lots of places to visit. We enjoyed our stay at Charlie’s house. Highly reccomended to everyone.

  • Charlie and Dianne were lovely hosts. I felt like I was at home. And their beautiful dog Levi too had loads of love to give. I would certainly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for one in Witney.

  • I stayed here a night for my friend's wedding and it was the perfect cosy space, and very peaceful. Daniela is a great host. Would definitely stay again if visiting Charlbury.

    Cathy2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • One of the best stays. Warm, clean, quiet, cozy loft, got everything we needed. The host is very friendly and helpful.

    Atmo2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • Cosy loft tucked away in the middle of town. Clean and tidy, fruit and milk provided, has everything you need for a short stay. It was Wednesday night so we could hear the local church bell ringers practise!

    Marjaana2019-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • Cosy little loft room. Very private, as it's above the car port of the main house with a separate entrance. I stayed on a cold weekend and was pleasantly surprised to find the heating already on when I arrived in the evening so it was toasty when I went to bed. Could be hard to find for some guests, but hosts gave an excellent description of how to find it. Hosts were very communicative and responsive.

    Ursula2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • It was great. A cozy, clean place which we really enjoyed. They turned up the heat for us because we traveled with infant. Definitely recommend!

    Tam2019-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • Annabel and Daniela's place is great. We needed a quiet night away and this was perfect, as it is really in the centre of the village, so you can walk to the pubs for dinner and drinks and there are good walks on your doorstep. The space is great because you have the place to yourself, and it is really cosy as a loft but well thought-out with the ensuite shower and small amenities you might need, such as a kettle and toiletries.

  • This is a beautiful cottage, really nicely appointed, with a welcome basket second to none. The owners are very helpful in advance with clear joining instructions and there is unusually comprehensive and clear info in the cottage about local amenities, recycling instructions, how the heating works etc. The owners were prompt and helpful with a teething problem after recent works. Unluckily for us the local pub is shut for refurb at the end of Oct, but we discovered that the pub in Finstock is a manageable walk over fields (or 30m walk home via roads in the dark). The local garden centre, which is much more impressive than the gate from the road indicates, does lunch and has a small softplay area for tinies. Lots of great walks nearby. A lovely place for a relaxing getaway.

  • Such a beautiful cottage which has been renovated superbly and the welcoming touches were perfect. The cottage was immaculate. The kitchen is extremely well equipped. We really couldn’t have faulted one thing about this holiday home. A real home from home.

The accommodation is our cosy caravan which is located within our fairly spacious garden. The caravan is very homely, clean and comfortable. You can have the caravan experience without the towing! We are down a fairly quiet lane on the edge of our beautiful village. we overlook fields within an area of outstanding natural beauty.
We decided to rent out our caravan as we live in a lovely area on the edge of the Cotswolds. This area is popular with holiday makers and festival goers who often have to pay a premium for guest accommodation. We aim to provide a comfortable stay with everything you might need! If you don't provide it we probably can! The caravan has the option of two small double beds and a smaller bunk (maximum occupancy is 5 if one of the party is under 10, otherwise it is 4) The small double beds easily sleep a couple or two friends. Soft "proper" bedding is provided. There is a kitchenette area where you can make a hot drink or prepare a simple breakfast of cereal, toast etc. All the necessaries to do so are provided. Due to guest safety the gas cooker is disconnected so you have the perfect excuse to try one of the very good local pubs or grab a takeaway; you are on holiday after all! If you would like use of a microwave this can be provided. We operate and honesty bar with a selection of beers, wine, and some pre-mixed spirits. You are welcome to help yourself and a price list is provided. The caravan is equipped with a TV with freeview digital channels and an inbuilt DVD player. A selection of DVDs are provided for guest use (Adult and children). Electric points are also available, one has two USB ports for all of your charging needs. Some games and reading materials are also available.
We are on the edge of the beautiful Cotswolds. We are in a village just outside of the market town of Witney. Witney is famous for its history as a blanket making town. There are a large number of shops and eateries in Witney with free parking. Burford is very close by as is Woodstock and the beautiful Blenheim Palace. Oxford, Cheltenham and the famous Bicester village shopping centre are within easy reach. In summary a great location! There are lots of walks in the area and a great enclosed dog walk that is accessible by a 5 min car journey or a 15/20 min walk. We are close to the Wilderness festival & Cornbury festival and not too far from the "Feastival" . There are lots of places nearby to take children, including the Cotswold Farm park and the Cotswold Wildlife park.
  • Friendly, helpful, near lots of great places, fantastic value, highly recommended.

  • A cosy space for our first time in a caravan as a family with 2 adults and 2 children. Booked at the last minute but Linda was very accommodating, friendly and welcoming. Once the heater got going it was more than enough to keep us warm. Great shower and toilet available indoors too. Ideal location with lots to do locally within a short car journey.

  • It was a novel experience for us and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Very very clean Caravan and good value for money. The location was perfect for us who were venturing into the Cotswold the next morning. Thank you Linda and David! The scones were particularly delicious!

    Marina2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely relaxing 3 night stay in Linda's caravan. It's exactly as described - well loved, cozy and comfortable. The heat worked well on the chilly nights, and the bathroom provided inside the house has an excellent shower. Linda's family is delightful. They welcomed us into their space and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. Our daughters enjoyed making a new friend and having playtime. The fresh scones and cream on arrival were a lovely extra touch, as well as the fresh milk, bread, and cereal. It was a convenient location from which to explore Oxford and the Cotswolds. We highly recommend Linda's caravan.

  • A fantastic get away. If you want to escape for some peace and quiet I can’t recommend here enough. Everything you need, thoughtful touches and as much interaction with your hosts as you need. So relaxing and comfortable too . We can’t wait to return

  • Lovely cosy caravan very friendly host can’t fault it 👍👍

    Rob2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Quirky, cosy and fun! We are not caravanners so it was a real novelty to stay in one. Linda and her husband are lovely and welcoming. The caravan has everything one could need plus more! We didn't have breakfast, however the supplies in the breakfast cupboard/fridge were more than generous. Lovely bathroom inside the main house for guests to use made the 'camping' part a bit more 'luxurious'.

The cottage has underfloor heating on the ground floor, a log burner, a sumptuous Wesley-Barrell sofa, comfy Hypnos mattress and bed, 400 thread count Egyptian cotton linen and White Company towels and toiletries.
Plenty of parking. Lots of easy country walks right on the doorstep.

  • Lovely accommodation. Alan is a great host. Easy check in and quick to respond.

    Jodie2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • Alan's place was exactly as it was shown in the photos. It was very clean, cozy and equipped with everything one would need to enjoy their stay. It is in the countryside so a car is necessary to be able to get to Oxford or any of the neighboring towns and villages. But for anyone looking for a quiet break away this is the perfect place.

A cosy, recently converted garage in private garden perfect for couples. In the heart of the Cotswolds, this independent space offers a warm and individual interior for guests looking to get away.
The Den is set back from the road and has a small outdoor patio space set aside to the guests private use. There is off-street parking and in the summer, a nice back garden to enjoy.
Charlbury has lots of local amenities including a co-op which is open until 11 pm every day. There are 4 pubs in the town and lots of fantastic pubs in the immediate countryside. We can suggest great walks and local attractions.
  • We had a lovely stay at The Den, it’s a cosy stylish space with everything you might need for a short break. The comfy bed, flowers, fresh fruit, coffee & bread were highlights. We loved eating at the nearby Chequers pub & it was easy to get to Oxford for the day via train. Many thanks Susie!

  • A superb little bolt hole in a great little town. Very tastefully decorated, sparkling clean and wonderfully comfy bed. There are a few great pubs in walking distance and the Den is in a great location to explore the Cotswolds. Although set on the edge of a small Cotswold town, it’s a very peaceful location, no noise from any roads and with plenty of privacy. Susie was a superb host and always available if we needed any help.

    Will2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Highly recommend! The room is beautiful! Bigger than the photos look. Suitably equipped kitchen, with milk, butter, jams, bread & fruit provided. Comfortable bed. Place is warmer than expected (with the help of additional heater), as very well insulated. Provision of maps and walking books. We LOVED the decor and design touches. Overall, very pleasantly surprised and would recommend to others. FYI there is more than enough room (and chairs!) to sit and eat together, or play games. Thank you Susie for creating such a lovely space to stay.

    Sophie2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Would definitely recommend Susie’s place for homeliness, cleanliness and central to town. We had treats waiting for us on arrival and lovely touches.

    Ben2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • We chose this accommodation because it offered a king sized bed, off road parking and was walkable to Charlbury train station. As well as being quiet and comfortable, the Den was larger than I had expected. Susie also left a good continental breakfast

My place is convenient for Wilderness, Blenheim, Cornbury events. It is close to Blenheim Palace, Woodstock (4 miles); Witney (4 miles); Burford (5 miles); Chipping Norton (6 miles); Oxford (12 miles) and Stratford (30 miles). Charlbury railway station is just 2 miles away, where there is a regular service to London (Paddington) which takes just over an hour. Room has double bed, tv and books. Suitable for solo adventurers, cyclists and business travellers. A second room is also available.
The base price (week days) is £35 per room, with a £15 surcharge if the room is to be shared. The room is a single aspect room which looks out onto the village lane and countryside beyond at the front. It has a new, comfortable double bed and clean sheets and bedding (though not ironed, time is too short!). There's a flat screen tv with freeview, well stocked bookshelves, 1 of my son-in-law's original paintings on the wall (his work having been accepted at the R.A. summer exhibition) and antique mirrors and rug. A small kettle is also provided.
Finstock is a pretty but unpretentious village set round a hill in the Cotswolds. My house is a 1920s semi which is five minutes' walk from the local pub, the Plough, which is friendly and which serves good food. The Village Shop is also about 5 minutes away in the opposite direction. There are plenty of interesting and pretty walks nearby.
  • Ginnie's place was perfect for my stay in Oxfordshire - location is great in a quiet village and the room and sole use of bathroom on my stay was ideal and everything very clean. Lovely breakfast the next morning - thanks Ginnie.

A stunning room with a curved wall, in a Cotswold cottage in the heart of gorgeous Charlbury. The room has a double bed, an ensuite bathroom and has space for a mattress or cot. Great walking and cycling, good pubs both for beer and food, near Oxford & Blenheim Palace, Woodstock. Visitors welcome to use the kitchen and living room, shared with the family. We have a dog and run a sourdough bakery, where the bread is fermented slowly and cooked in a wood fired oven.
Charlbury is a medieval Cotswold town, with narrow winding streets, stunning views and beautiful stone cottages. The room has a curved wall looking out over a wonderful view of the garden. From the terrace you can see across to the church, with swifts soaring.
We are in the heart of Charlbury, a medieval Cotswold town. There are 5 or more churches, 4 pubs with good beer and good food, a deli and a small cooperative supermarket. Good walks and cycling in the area as well as many other beautiful Cotswold villages - including Burford and Woodstock (Blenheim Palace). It is also handy for Oxford, which is just 15 minutes away by train.
