SPRING GLAMPING at it's best! Warm days, cool nights = NO BUGS for now! Come enjoy The Birchwood Hideout. This tent is for adventurous individuals or couples ready to recharge & relax. Built to feel like the you never left the outdoors, cozy up on the bed and enjoy the open views. The perfect spot to get away from all the Covid-19 craziness!
Our Birchwood Hideout is a one bedroom safari style tent located in the relaxing woods of Salisbury, 30 minutes outside of Concord, NH. Newly hand-built in the woods of our home, a mile off road and not found by GPS! 120 square feet, built with rustic birchwood & canvas on a sturdy platform, and including a small deck. Escape and enjoy a chance to unwind in this secluded forest. There is one bedroom, outhouse (about 15 yards outside the tent), fire pit, and picnic table entirely welcome to you. No need to bring fire wood! For those who stay longer than 1 night, our shower and bathroom are available for use at our house, located a quarter of a mile uphill. Some fun activities in the area can include paddling, fishing, and swimming in the Blackwater river. You can also bring bikes to go for a spin in the neighborhood or the The Northern Rail Trail, a nice bike trail near us. We are also on the side of Mt. Kearsarge, and can direct you to two state parks that you can hike trails up that. Or bushwhack from our place! Inside the tent there is one queen bed, for which we will provide clean bedding and a goose down comforter for chilly nights. There will be s'more supplies, eating utensils, a butane mini stove, a mini grill, basic cooking utensils, fire pit cooking supplies, games, and books. Please note it is unlikely you will have cell service, or power to charge devices. Think of it as an unplugged experience :) There are some lights inside and outside. Flashlights, drinking water, and water for dish washing are provided. Also, furry friends are welcome! There are lots of room where they can run around. Just please make sure to clean up after your pet. We also ask that you bring your own dog bed and not allow your dog onto our bed. We do have our own dog Trixie, who will mainly reside at our house, but she might get excited by the visitors.
Walking and hiking right out your door! We can help with ideas for a hiking adventure if you like. The The Kitchen in Andover serves amazing breakfast and lunch foods, and some dinner servings. It is located about 5 miles north. The Refinery is fairly new, we haven't tried it but hear great things about it. It's about 8 miles north of the site. *********** Due to Covid-19 the Kitchen is doing most of their food as take out. ******************** The Barnstore, 7 miles south of us, has great food, but is not open on a regular basis. Call ahead to see. They serve locally grown meats. Try the pork chop breakfast!! Another great place for breakfast and lunch is Tuckers, located 15 miles east in New London. Well worth the trip for good food! For a good pizza at a good price, try the CrossRoads Country Store, about 6 miles south. Gas, basic necessities, and homemade cookies are their specialities.
  • We stayed here on a very cold night and Dawn made sure that we were well prepared by giving us plenty of blankets to stay warm throughout the night. Definitely would come back again!

  • Loved staying here! It is a very clean, cozy, and unique space. Perfect for a get-away from technology :) Dawn is also very nice and I highly recommend staying at her place.

  • Would love to come back to this site during a warmer season! The tent is very cute and comfortable! Highly suggest checking this out

  • The space was absolutely magical and Dawn went above and beyond to ensure a comfortable and safe arrival. Could not recommend this space and the kind humans that host it. Truly a perfect stay, so fortunate to have had the support of Dawn and her family during the snowy arrival. Really an exceptional spot!

  • Glancing is the way to go! Not only does New Hampshire’s beauty speak for itself, but the place was cozy, stylish, and unique! Dawn was an incredible host and willing to put in any extra effort we could have asked for. If you are looking for a quiet unique and comfortable space to have alone time or get to know your friends/significant other better, this is the place for you. Even in the winter it was a great experience. The heaters kept us warm and the lights added a magical holiday touch. 10/10!

    Shannon2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • Dawn was a great host. She did a great job keeping in contact with us incase we needed any extra items that she could deliver. The place was clean and super cozy, and looked just like the pictures. Her family did a great job helping take care of us as well and her son helped us start a fire when we couldn’t. All in all, we had a great experience and were very well taken care of.

    Salina2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • It’s cold in the winter but that’s expected. Was a wonderful stay since we knew what we’d be getting into. Was a good stay. Lots of stuff in the place that was unexpected. Coffee. Hot chocolate. Things for s’mores. Will stay again!

Socially distance in style! Wake up to the call of loons from this tiny and cozy lakefront cabin. Fast internet, stocks of toliet paper, and nestled at the remote base of Mt. Kearsarge, who could want more? With unobstructed views of Ragged Mountain, this location affords year-round adventure on the protected south shore of Bradley Lake, abutting conservation land. 5 min. from Proctor, 90 min from Boston. This retreat mixes ample amenities with outdoor adventure!
In the warmer seasons enjoy easy access to hiking at abutting Mt. Kearsarge and Winslow State Parks, a 58-mile long rail trail for running or biking, mountain biking on abutting conservation lands, swimming on the far end of Bradley Lake, and golfing at Kearsarge Valley Golf Course. Canoe and kayak out into the lake (boats provided), or fish for smallmouth bass, pickerel, and perch from the dock. Spend evenings catching fireflies and roasting marshmallows around the fire pit. In the winter enjoy downhill skiing at Mt Sunapee & Ragged Mountain, ice fishing, and unlimited backcountry (XC) skiing & snowshoeing. Spend evenings cozied up by the wood stove with a glass of wine. The entire cabin was recently renovated with hickory cabinetry and flooring, stainless steel appliances, and rustic, mid-century modern decor. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the basics: refrigerator and freezer, oven, stove, toaster, French press for coffee, water kettle, blender, pots and pans, cooking and eating utensils. The cabin has one bedroom with a queen bed on the first floor. A wooden ladder with handrails up to a half-floor loft area offers a shared space with an additional queen bed and a full bed. Individuals staying in the loft should be nimble-bodied. The cabin offers robust and fast internet at 300/300 mbps so bring your laptops! There is intentionally no standalone TV in the cabin, in an effort to keep the cabin a sanctuary in which to unplug. A selection of books and board games are available for your enjoyment. A fire pit is available for use on the deck or in the yard, for roasting marshmallows for hot chocolate.
Wake up to the call of loons and paddle your kayak to view osprey, bald eagles, and moose from this cozy year round cottage. 90 min to Boston 5 min to Proctor Academy 20 min to Colby-Sawyer College 15 min to Ragged Mountain Ski Resort 25 min Mt. Sunapee Ski Resort 45 min to the White Mountains 5 min to the Northern Rail Trail (58 mile long pathway)
  • The PERFECT place to stay. The cabin is very private and on the lake so it was wonderfully peaceful. It is the perfect escape and has everything you need so that you won’t have to leave if you don’t want to (and you won’t want to!). Highly recommend this place to anybody! Probably my favorite Airbnb I’ve stayed at ever.

    Hannah2020-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • Quaint, beautiful, and quiet area. Definitely need 4 wheel drive to get to the house, which made it even cooler! Super nice and updated interior. Fabulous spot on the lake as well and close to Ragged Mountain and a few cool breweries for those who enjoys local brews! Our family of 4 plus our dog enjoyed ourselves immensely!

    Rachele2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Clean, quiet, location with a terrific view and all the privacy you could ask for. We look forward to returning

    David2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • What a great cozy cabin on the lake we had four adults and one child comfortably in this nice cabin very clean with all the amenities including a lot of privacy and quietness right on the lake in this time of year people icefishing. I stay in a lot of airbnb’s and Alexander has been one of the best hosts so far very sweet quick to respond in very Willing to help out with whatever you need definitely look forward to coming back sometime soon hopefully in the summertime!

    Doug2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • The house was just what me and my family were looking for to unplug and unwind! The house was perfectly clean when we arrived and had all the things we needed to cook and make coffee which was a plus! There were plenty of trails and mountains to explore nearby which was perfect for us. Alexandra also left an awesome list of places to hike nearby and places to eat for all meals which came in handy. The decor cute and the cabin had a super cozy vibe me and my family enjoyed. I would 10/10 recommend a stay here if you’re looking for a great little getaway!

    Jennie2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Alexandra's cabin is awesome! It is a nature retreat. It's a perfect place for a family with kids to unplug and enjoy the surrounding nature. The cabin gets nice and warm quickly, and has everything you need to cook and enjoy. The location is just minutes away from skiing and hiking areas. Communication with Alexandra was clear, easy, and timely. She responded to all our questions and gave us lots of hiking suggestions. We all, including our 13 y.o. son, enjoyed hiking in the area and absolutely loved the cabin. We highly recommend this place!!! We hope to come back there again!

    Ksenia2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was perfect for what we needed. It was clean and comfortable. It is not large and if someone is sleeping in the loft, you need to be able to get up the ladder. For its size, it is well laid out. The host was amazing. Fabulous communication and gracious.

    Leann2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Located a few minutes from Ragged mountain, Alex's cabin was the perfect place for our family to come back to after a long day of skiing. It's incredibly cozy and the interior appears professionally designed (although I am no expert). The host Alex is very attentive over text message and phone in answering questions and giving recommendations, but she lives remotely, so we truly had the place all to ourselves which is what we wanted. The cabin is lakefront and we could see people ice fishing out on the lake in the mornings. Behind the cabin is all natural forest so even though you are just 5 minutes from town, you feel like you are really out there. In terms of getting to the cabin, we had no problems using our phone GPS. The road is partially dirt, but we had no issues with 4WD. I look forward to staying at the cabin again in the summer, because I would be pumped to see the lake in action.

  • Warm and sensible host and the room is more private than you would expect.

    Rob2020-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • If you need someplace near Concord at an affordable rate, the host is very hospitable. Off street parking, a set of keys, bathroom in room (shared shower).

  • More space than expected and good feature to have a Toilet and Sink in the Suite. Only have to use common bath to shower. Economical and worth it.

  • I stayed with Kathy for about a month. I have nothing but good things to say about her. She was very welcoming and I felt very comfortable here. I met with her multiple times during my stay. The location is in a quiet neighborhood about 20 minutes from Concord. The room was perfect and we had access to the kitchen and washer and dryer for free. The experience was amazing and I wish I had a reason to stay longer. This location is perfect and everyone should stay here.

There is another room available with a larger space that for some reason is not showing to people searching. If you cannot find please contact me and I will copy paste link. :) My place is within short walk to Proctor Academy, post office, Jakes market, Library, school, playground, 15 min to Ragged, 15 min to New London where you can find places to eat out, 35 min from Hanover and Concord. I am right on the rail trail so you can hike, bike or cross country too for many miles!

    Rory2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Kim’s place was great. It has a true bnb style with a beautiful yard, wrap around porch and adorable decor inside. The pictures don’t do it justice. It was really bright and cozy. Her two dogs were sweethearts and she was a great host. We locked our keys in the car on our way out in the morning. She was nice enough to entertain us while we waited for AAA for 3 hours and we enjoyed talking with her and playing with the pups during that time. I look forward to staying with Kim again the next time I am in the area. Thanks Kim. 😊

    Jen2019-10-06T00:00:00Z

I really wish there are more Airbnb like Kim’s around. The place is right near Proctor Academy, very convenient for Proctor’s guests. I’ll definitely choose Kim’s place for the next visit to Proctor.

This Tiny House is in a spectacular spot with a mountain view on one side and a giant granite cliff on the other. It is quiet, peaceful, with no lights or noise. It is small but has a kitchenette, bedroom in the loft, nice porch, tiny bathroom and a patio with a view of a field and mountains. Often people see deer, turkeys, a fox also. We are only 30 minutes to Concord and the Lakes Region; one hour to the ocean and an hour and a half to Boston.
This is a 'secret' hideaway, but only 3 miles from rte 93, affording shopping malls, lakes, rivers for boating, swimming and skiing. The White Mountains are an hour north for touring, hiking and climbing. There are many activities in the summer: agricultural and craft fairs, music and theatre performances, festivals of all kinds.
This land is very beautiful, varied with forests, huge granite outcroppings and fields with streams here and there. It is on a hill so has some spectacular views of the mountains. It was once farmland so stone walls run through the forest which has since grown in. There is an old graveyard nearby. My house was built in 1778 and we moved a barn here, built originally in 1780, so there is history everywhere as well.
  • We highly recommend the Tiny House! Martha was a wonder hostess! The land and view was absolutely amazing. We can’t wait to go back!!! Thanks for everything Martha!🌸💜💕

  • It was exactly what we were looking for, a cabin in the woods. Very rustic, secluded, quiet. Still the town was just 10 minutes away with great restaurants. We will definitely be back.

  • Martha’s tiny home was great! It has amazing views and the outdoor patio is wonderful. The water pressure in the shower is amazing (huge plus). It also comes with everything you could possibly need. Would absolutely stay here again.

  • We had a wonderful stay at Martha’s tiny house. It was cozy and private but had everything we could need and there were lovely views of the hills and meadow. Martha was lovely to meet, and helped us pick fresh vegetables from her garden!

  • Tiny house with a view, interesting construction, appealing woodwork.

    Alexis2019-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • The tiny house was very clean and had everything we needed for a weekend away. It was in a great location for our day excursions to the White mountains and the lakes. Would stay there again!

    Marlyse2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed a weekend here and it was great! You have to like the outdoors, as it's similar to camping except you're in a little cabin. Bring bug spray! The place itself is fantastic and very private, with a pretty view and everything you need. I wish we could have stayed longer. Martha was really hospitable and we ended up purchasing some vegetables from her garden, which were delish.

  • This was our first time renting an AirBnB, and it could not have been any better! From the moment we stepped through the doorway and were greeted with banana bread, fruit, candy, and the subtle scent of wood smoke, we knew we hit the jackpot! Our hosts were close enough to respond super quickly to a very small issue, yet we had the quiet privacy of a mountain top retreat! The house was immaculate and so very warm and welcoming! The kitchen was divine! I cooked more here than I do at home!! We were able to get the R&R we were craving, yet also were close enough to many amenities if we so chose! We we definitely be visiting Timothy House again! PS...Our grandchildren loved the videos we sent them of us playing the piano!!

  • Amazing house

    Marcos Philip2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • The Timothy house is a beautiful and you can tell how much love, care and pride of ownership went into the space! There was banana bread waiting for us when we arrived and it was delicious. It was an absolutely perfect place for us to host our annual writing retreat, quiet and set back from everything but still close enough to town that we could get everything we needed. We would definitely come back!

    Ali2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Clean, home like environment, beautiful open kitchen and open floor plan, comfy couches and chairs, and quiet setting for a great night's sleep! Close to lots of shops and lots in reach for day trips to MA, VT, ME, or further up in NH. Dave and Cathy are prompt, helpful, and friendy in their responses. Timothy House is a perfect blend of quiet getaway and local accessibility for fun vacation spots!

    Steph2020-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • It was perfect, even more beautiful than the pictures. Everything was very clean and every need was anticipated. Will definitely be staying here again.

  • The pictures are not enough to describe this place... If I could give 6 Stars I would!!! This place saved our “Sanity” for the weekend and was ABOVE & BEYOND our expectations!!! Anyone who stays here YOU WILL NOT be disappointed!!! Dave & Cathy YOU Rock!!!

  • We came to New Hampshire for a ski trip and needed a pretty decent sized place and this was exactly what we needed. The house was 2 stories and was quite big. With the fire places and heating felt very cozy and the hosts was terrific! Would recommend to stay whoever is in the area

PLEASE NOTE NEW PRICING: A $25.00 refund per night is offered after the first night stay. Your refund for this offer will be paid by me and not Airbnb after your arrival here. And & I apologize for needing to do this method of pricing but my one nighters are more costly in preparation for the next guests as four or five others may be quickly following you.
Tiny Earth Cabin is situated on a sixty-acre parcel of privately owned land in the small town of Canterbury, NH. In case you have forgotten something the Country Store in Canterbury Center is just a couple minutes away or available en route. Upon your arrival at the owners driveway (1.88 miles from Canterbury center Eastward on Hackleboro Road) your host or one of his staff will greet you and assist in parking and with the transfer of your personal items for your stay. When unloaded at the trailhead there is a five-minute stroll on a groomed path to your unique Eco-designed Cabin. Your host will accompany and assist you in transporting items to the Cabin and provide you with a tour of the cabin's amenities. Should you require access to the Cabin via SUV there is an access road available usually? Being isolated and secure from any onlookers the Tiny Earth Cabin is delightfully off grid and is fully equipped with 12 volt LED lighting and ceiling fans to better circulate heat from the small wood stove. Recently a new double hung screened window has been installed at head level and easy to operate during the night. The wood stove is equipped with a glass window, which provides a fireplace-like flickering light ambience for your cozy room. With firewood provided for at no cost during mild temperatures your reduced carbon footprint will be noticed by our Earth’s most grateful ecosystem. Winter stay with more wood burning required may raise the price of dry firewood available. Fresh Spring Water is contained in two 5-gallon carboys. A small copper sink is tucked into the food preparation countertop for cooking and wash ups. On the entry porch an antique ice chest will be chilled prior to your arrival with plenty of space available for a few days stay. Two small 12v overhead quiet fans move fresh air around well. The Queen bed consumes one quarter of floor area and is the inviting centerpiece of your lodging with fresh sheets & towels for your arrival. See deals below. A combination two-burner stove with oven provides for your food preparation needs and a new propane grill rests on the outside dining table. A very cool sunken FirePit with a cooking grill is also close to the cabin door. Fire wood may soon be packaged in small bundles for purchase or you pack it down from my house no cost. The adorable Earth composting loo a few steps from the side door accommodates your disposal needs and is well light along the path. Verizon cell service is usually available at the cabin for voice but data is slow up load tho a great upload was posted on Instagram by guests from the cabin door? The fee structure is $125.00 for a single night occupancy but bring your own sheets and save another $10.00 per night. A comforter/duvet is available as well and blankets are overhead the bed storage area. FEE STRUCTURE: A stay of one night is $ 125.00 but with your own sheets you can save $10.00. For two or more nights and with my fresh sheets the rate is $125.00 per night which lessens the burden for me doing laundry more often. With your sheets then it would be $10.00 less per night. (This pricing becomes effective on January first ‘19) The fire pit wood is presently free but your salvage efforts from close by fallen limbs is encouraged. Few ticks are usually detected near the groomed cabin grounds and have never been noticed on the walking trail. Don’t forget Cabin Slippers, rain gear if sketchy weather is forecast. Try to bring your own ice for the cooler if needed but if burdensome I will fetch it for you ahead of time.
Tho the cabin is secluded your short drive to Concord (the State Capital) can offer numerous social, artistic and entertainment venues to enjoy. From C’bury to Manchester is about a 50 minute drive and The Currier Museum of Art is a must if you have time to go there. Historic Shaker Village is also located in C’bury and is a major destination for cultural/historically curious visitors. If visits here are Winter oriented then numerous ski tours and snow machines are welcomed about the area and here. Bring your pets if desired but remember that the floor space is small. Emus are fine as well but must be stabbed outside or in one of my exterior studios. Have a pack Lama too perhaps?
  • The tiny earth cabin is a wonderful retreat from everyday city life. It is secluded on miles of New England forest, with lots to explore. Chance was a great host and the cabin itself was very accommodating and provided all we (2 humans, 1 dog) needed. There was no one staying here the day after us so he let us leave later. I will definitely stay here again. I recommend staying for at least two nights. Bring your dog, build a fire, make some s'mores.

    Laura2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • If you’re an outdoor lover then you NEED to stay at this magical Tiny Earth Cabin. It felt like I was camping inside the cutest little cabin, with a wood stove to stay oh so cozy. Not to mention all the surrounding land and trails that are able to be explored. Chance was one of the best hosts I’ve dealt with, and went above and beyond to accommodate for us. I will absolutely be back to this peaceful retreat in the forest, and cannot recommend it enough! The Tiny Earth Cabin is truly magick on earth.

    Emilie2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • An amazing, tranquil getaway. Rustic and raw, a perfect escape from city life. We had such a nice time grilling food, keeping a fire, and wandering the woods. Would highly suggest to anyone looking to get away! Chance is such a friendly and unique host, makes for a memorable experience.

  • The Tiny Earth Cabin is a dream getaway if you seek beautiful scenery, peaceful nature and an adorable house. Chance was the perfect host - accommodating, communicative, and friendly. We will definitely be back for longer next time!

    Tom2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • First off...what an amazing stay. If you are looking for a complete getaway from the outside world this is your place. Chance is amazing!! He is so kind and helpful. We would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone who is up for a tiny nature cabin adventure. Some things to think about before booking/arriving. We went in the winter and there was about 2 feet of snow. The driveway is massive, long, and STEEP! Chance kindly offered to come get us and we are so thankful we took him up on the offer. It’s a doosey even with 4 wheel drive we recommend having him come get you at the bottom of the driveway if it’s snowy. Trust us you think you can do it but it’s steep and keeps going. Very slippery in the snow! Additionally it is about a 5 min walk from the hosts house to the tiny cabin. Once again if it’s winter and it’s snowy plan accordingly. Chance walked us out to the cabin and helped us bring our things, but pack as little as possible given you have to bring your stuff in a sled when it’s snowy or carry it. All of these suggestions come with the fact that there was snow. Chance is more than accommodating for all these struggles so just ask! This is amazing adventure for anyone looking for nature! Can’t wait to stay again (maybe in the summer with less snow).

  • This is a very spacious and clean property. Easy access on and off the highway, very convenient. Everything you would need is provided. Nice washer and dryer available too. The heating system was cozy and warm. Parking area was plowed and easy to navigate. Would definitely recommend.

  • Sharon's guesthouse AirBnB is a dream. Check in was super easy and the location is convenient, right off of 93. It has everything you need, plus a few extras. The heater is very efficient and kept us cozy through the chilly New England nights. I actually was not feeling very well on one of the days we were here and usually it sucks to be away from home when you aren't feeling well. However, the tea selection, warm blankets, and comfy couch made it feel like home away from home and I was quite comfortable and able to rest. Since a snow storm also happened on our last night, Sharon was very thoughtful and messaged us to find out what time we planned on leaving in the morning so that the driveway would be plowed for us. Would love to stay here again in the warm weather!

    Rachel2019-12-02T00:00:00Z
  • Our fourth stay at the guesthouse and certainly not our last! It was a little cold in the area during our stay but the excellent main heater kept us nice and toasty warm :) We're looking forward to coming back again and again to this wonderful place!

  • Nancy’s place was very cute, clean, and affordable. It was plenty of space for two people and we were extremely comfortable. Although her house is on the property, we felt that the Airbnb was secluded and offered the privacy we were looking for. Nancy’s place is also 20 minutes from Ragged Mountain, so it was very convenient for our ski vacation! We will definitely be back!

    Stephanie2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderful place to stay. Well appointed and completely as described. Directions from the host are perfect (Garmin sent me past the driveway). Although I arrived during the night of a snow storm, the drive was clear enough for my very poor handling 2-wheel drive. The apartment was very private and was the perfect quiet location, yet well within striking range of local dining, entertainment, Colby-Sawyer College, and several outdoor recreational venues. The "host-book" offers great recommendations and advice. I felt at home immediately and would come again without hesitation. No shortcomings and no surprises. A splendid place to stay!

    Frank2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • 10/10 recommend Nancy's place! The apartment itself was beautifully decorated, the location was secluded and scenic with access to trails and lakes. The apartment was fully stocked with everything you could need from utensils to games. There were thoughtful touches in every corner. The bed was so comfortable! Thankful for all of Nancy's hospitality.

200 year old farmhouse, wide pine board floors, huge private space. Enjoy built in dormer queen sized bed with window overlooking farmland and a separate king sized bed. So Comfortable. All inclusive Sunday Breakfast....This farm brings peace to the souls of all that enter! This space gives you the sense that you are in a loft apartment and that you are private yet everything is accessable. Meals, smoothies and muffins are made availble as schedule allows . Check in before bringing pets!
Entire upstairs available w gorgeous views out every window. Private bathroom, mini fridge and microwave. This house has wide and wider pine board floors through out. Old soapstone farmers sink in kitchen. Host works a variety of shifts off premises through out the week and sometimes Saturdays. Mostly evenings and weekends I am home to interact with. Please let me know if there is something I can do to make your stay that much more special. Everyone's privacy is highly respected here, so if you wish to close yourselves off and not mingle, the upstairs space is perfect for that. You will be happy!!!!
It is all farmland. Close to All the area lakes, hence the "Lakes Region" 20 minutes to Gunstock ski area, closer to restaurants and Tanger Outlet Mall. Dont forget, we are right next door to the only other neighbor on this street, Heritage Pancake House and petting farm. If you like the wilderness, the lower property sports a newly built beaver pond which you could bring and use a canoe or kayak and paddle around and check out their home. I am actively attempting to protect them from trappers and make it so they have a permanent home here. They have attracted blue heron, coyotes, moose and deer. They are a family of 6 about to give birth to some kits this April/May.
  • The space is very cute, with thoughtful touches and considerate amenities everywhere. We especially enjoyed the companionship of all the animals, and were warmed by the hospitability of Rickie and Brandy! We had some very interesting conversations! I would most definately recommend this Abnb!

    Lance2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Great farm experience. Very friendly pets, very clean. The space upstairs is adorable. If you love farms and love animals, this is the perfect place.

    Sharon2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic spot, really enjoyed the space. Loved being able to bring my dog, and her pets were awesome too! Really fun being able to go out and see the chickens and alpacas. Ulrike was incredibly friendly and relaxed, was always around if we needed anything!

    Christopher2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • We loved this place, it was so unique. The animals are great, the alpacas are hilarious to watch. Ricki also let us bring our dog Cora along, and set up a teepee in the room for our daughter! Though I think the cat liked it best. The host is super nice and welcoming. The only thing I'd mention would be that the door to the house is never locked, and the door to the room (which has a common entryway with the rest of the house, albeit at the top of a set of stairs) doesn't really latch, and definitely doesn't lock. Which means the home's 3 dogs and kitty can and do come and go. They were well-behaved and we love animals, AND it made my 9 year old sooooo happy so it was a plus for us! But maybe not a good fit for others, so just take note. :)

    Carla2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time! Ulrike was a fantastic host with a beautiful property. The room was a super cute loft with everything we could have needed. The farm was a dream to wonder around. We will definitely be back!

    Kathleen2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Ulrike's place was super convenient to reach, had the most thoughtful touches and offered more than that was promised at every step. The loft offered us the privacy we needed along with accessibility to the whole house. The alpacas and all other animals were so sweet which made the experience even better. She makes you feel like you are part of her family and takes care of you like no other host I have met. Can't wait to visit again in the summers!

    Ayush2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Great stay at this farm. Amazing hospitality. Would recommend to anyone.

    Angelo2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Rickie's place was really nice. We were staying in loft which was super cute with full privacy. I wish there was a sink in the upstairs kitchen but you can always use one in the bathroom or downstairs kitchen. Breakfast muffins were delicious. Loved hanging out with Alpacas, dogs and cats. Really great experience.

  • We came up for a little weekend getaway. There were 4 of us that just wanted to enjoy some peace and quiet, cook some food and just hang out. Everything was perfect. The kitchen was well stocked with appliances, cookware and the basic necessities. Overall, I was in love with the way the home is decorated. Very comfy and cozy, but super updated as well. The beds were very comfortable with soft sheets and a comforter - super soft pillows and an extra blanket. The bathroom was great with some amenities as well in case you may have forgotten any at home. Towels, etc all were there. Clean and comfortable from top to bottom! Beautiful mountain views as you enjoy your coffee while looking out all the windows that go from one end of the house to the other. Even watched several deer grazing in the morning AND 2 moose! Can’t wait to go back again!

  • What a quaint home away from home! We couldn’t have asked for more. The beds were SO comfy. They were exactly what you hope for in a vacation. Also the kitchen was so lovely and well stocked! We gathered around the kitchen island in the barstools as we cooked and it felt like we were right at home.

    Cody2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Place was clean, warm, and exactly what we expected! Loved being close to the mountains and spending a cozy night in with friends. Palace pizza up the road was some great eats too!

Located atop a lovely ravine, centered on a 24 acre estate, in scenic rural NH, our Cabin is a cozy and stylish spot for escaping to nature while having a few present day necessities. The Cabin itself is a unique design (A-frame/Salt box combo) that we call the G-Frame! The interior space is open, airy and full of light. There are a few large windows so that nature is part of the experience. With lots of land to enjoy this winter, bring your firewood, slippers, snowshoes and cross-country skis!
This Freshly built cabin is 196 square ft, with a loft bed, kitchenette, dining table, futon sleeper, wood stove and Nature's Head Compost Toilet (indoors!). This is off the grid yet is solar powered with 4 electrical outlets (including USB ports). There is a downloadable app that will keep track of power usage, and we ask that guests use it responsibly without draining the battery. The Loft has a step ladder, a medium plush king sized memory foam mattress with bedding and views through the pyramid window. There is a small over head window in the loft as well, for crisp air and sounds of nature. There is a one burner electric hot plate for one pot meals and such, a few plates, utensils, glassware, tea box, small pot, large pot, very small cast iron pan, a couple of Tea mugs etc. The ceramic sink in the kitchenette is for hand washing and other small items. It has a foot pump powered water faucet and we will provide two 5 gallon BPA free jugs (which we can refill when possible). The bathroom is the only private room in the cabin, with space to change clothes and what have you. There is a wonderful composting commode (with specific care instructions), and a vintage medicine cabinet. There are 2 wireless rechargeable lanterns (one in the bathroom and one on the kitchenette shelf) that are moveable, and fairy lights that line a few ceiling walls (with remote and settings). The window for the woodstove provides some firelight...and we have plans for a few outdoor solar lights as well. The decor is sort of simple rustic boho kitsch ....otherwise eclectic? There is photography and artwork made by us (sometimes for sale), as well as other pieces that we've collected from all over. There are a few art books, mags and a cards against humanity box. Its all meant to be a little refreshing, relaxing, fun and possibly inspiring. It is our hope that we are sharing a space conducive for respite, and connection to nature, each other and/or to ones own peace-passion-creativity.... When springtime comes we will be able to build a few more features and add some other exciting amenities and shower/bathing options. We don't have a shower at this point and could suggest a few possible options, yet nothing close by.
Sanbornton is a vast rural town with a small historic town square and one general store. That said there are some wonderful farms and privately owned businesses as well as beautiful back roads, scenic views, and lots of nature. We are located 5 minutes off of 93, and 10 minutes to Tilton which has large chain restaurants and shops, an outlet mall, a brewery and a few good restaurants. We are also located in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire, close to some beautiful lakes, ski resorts and hikes. At the edge of our property there is a view of Highland Mountain (sometimes viewable from the cabin), which is a world-renowned mountain biking spot. This location is also great because we are in reasonable driving distance to the white mountains and Franconia but also Boston.
  • Great little spot! Wished it was snowy, but the get away was still relaxing and quaint. Timely responses, and very clean! Roads there a little dicey if you don’t have a 4 wheel drive. :)

  • This is a lovely and magical cabin for a weekend getaway! My boyfriend and I came for a night and it was everything we could have hoped for. We even had complimentary coffee which was such a thoughtful touch. We had a wonderful stay and we will be back!

    Clare2019-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great location for a cozy week of fun on the lake. We really enjoyed being right on the beach and the hospitality that Alfa and Eric showed including providing the canoe, kayaks and paddle boats as well as mulitiple areas on the property to relax and enjoy. Although the cottage is close to the main house, they provided us with our own space and were very gracious hosts. Loved also have the fire pits and grill areas. The cottage was very clean and they thought of nice touches like providing coffee and tea as well as some other essentials.

    Gayle2019-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • Alfa and Eric are great hosts. They are very responsive and nice. The property is perfect with a nice beach for kids to play and a fire pit at night. We had a wonderful time.

    Heather2019-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • The amenities and accommodation are best I’ve ever experienced. Best part was the full and sole access to the property’s private beach with grass. It was great for kids who want a large yard to play in right on the beach. The beach’s soft sand and very gradual decline to deeper water will make any parent’s concern around child safety greatly mitigated. The access to kayaks and paddle boats was a great treat. The fire pits on the property, grill, lounge chairs, and toys provide a great experience with much to do. Most of all the shaded areas give you plenty of space to chill and read books. While it is on a busy street the distance from the street mitigates concern for kids running into it. Light sleeps may also find the car noise a bit distracting. Overall the property and amenities and accommodations make it a must.

    Jason2019-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • The property was beautiful, and the water was very clean! There was plenty to do between the fire pit, lake, canoes, and grill. The guest house is a bit small so it’s nice for an intimate get away.

    Nealisse2019-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • Had a wonderful time at Eric and Alfa’s. The place was perfectly clean for me and my 3 friends celebrating the 4th of July. Loved the open access we had to their boats the most, with a nice backyard to hangout in being up there as well. Overall they are just two nice people with a good listing!

  • Just finished our first long weekend at the Red Barn Inn. The location is IDEAL if you’re headed to Ragged Mountain for skiing. Gorgeous inn with 4 stylish, modern bedrooms all with in-suite private bathrooms. Our group of 8 rented out the whole place for the weekend and everyone was thrilled with how great it was for such a reasonable price. The hosts are warm and gracious. The beds are SO comfortable that none of us wanted to get up in the morning. The whole place was spotless and inviting. The hosts think of everything...from snacks, coffee, tea, cocoa and bottled water to the delicious continental breakfast in the morning. This place is a gem! We will definitely be back.

  • Excellent experience all around, from booking and communicating with Jeanne prior to my and my fiancé’s stay, to check in, the stay and the room, and check out. Jeanne is fantastic. It is very close to Ragged Mountain, where we were attending a wedding, which was a big bonus for us. The room was clean, the bed comfy, the place as a whole had a very warm and welcoming feeling.... OH and she had most delicious quiche I’ve ever had for breakfast.

This small cottage is beside a brook. There are two upstairs bedrooms- one with a queen bed and the second with a twin. A second queen bed is located on a screened in porch for seasonal use (June-September usually). A deck provides views of woodsy yard and brook. The cottage is clean and well-equipped but needs some cosmetic repairs—please ask for details if there is concern. Two indoor-only cats are in residence - you can provide cat care or request cat sitter to come in.
The cottage is 1 mile from the center of New London and less than a mile from beautiful hiking trails. It’s quiet and calming and a short drive to skiing, restaurants and shops—perfect as a writing or painting retreat. Two indoor cats will be in residence -please indicate if you will feed them or if you’d prefer a daily cat sitter visit.
This cottage has a rural feeling to it with woods and a stream, but a mile back up the hill brings you to the heart of New London, where you’ll find coffee shops, bakeries, restaurants, gift shops, and more.
  • We all felt very comfortable in Kathryn's cottage. We were arriving very late, after a transatlantic flight, and were very tired. Kathryn realized this and made checking in and getting settled very easy.

  • Highly recommended cottage. Clean and comfortable with a relaxing screened in room facing trees and a deck. Able to walk to nearby hiking trails. Also near New London and the Flying Goose Brewery. The cottage was well equipped and communication with Kathryn quick and easy. Hope to spend more time in this neck of the woods. Thanks again!

  • Everything about this space was excellent. Easy to find, interior was very cool and made it surely feel like home. The porch was a nice spot to sit & have a quiet cup of morning coffee, and the beds were very comfy. The main town area is very close nearby, so anything quick (including a good meal) is a stone’s throw away. Loved our stay here- highly recommended!

  • Wonderful cottage close to Pleasant Lake and town. The sleeping porch was fun and unique. It was a wonderful space in which to relax, and it is a great lake house. Kathryn was a good host and helpful with communication.

  • Kathy is a fabulous host, very attentive and quick to respond to all of our needs. Her space is immaculately clean, cozy, simple, with a unique closed in porch overlooking a babbling brook!! A rare experience. Priceless!

    Stacey2019-07-12T00:00:00Z
  • Kathryn goes above and beyond to provide n amazing experience! She even delivered an item I left at her house to a town a half hour away, after I had gone! She's an exceptional host.

    Stacey2019-07-11T00:00:00Z
  • Kathryn was amazing and was a host beyond our expectations! She was so sweet and gave us so many great recommendations of things to do in the area I would absolutely come back!!!

    Olivia2019-06-30T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay at Kathryn's place. The covered porch is fantastic, we ate all our meals there and just enjoyed spending time watching the trees and listening to the brook behind. Everything else was also wonderful and comfortable, and the location was great for hikes in the area.

Enjoy this clean and cozy lake house that includes views and amenities that will make your vacation one to remember. There is access to a shared dock just a few steps away. This is a great location to enjoy everything the lakes region has to offer! Some of the many things to do in the area other than lake activities include: hiking, mountain biking, climbing, white water kayaking, shopping, and concerts.
This charming lake house has plenty of room to sleep 6 people; 2 bedrooms-1 with a bunk bed and trundle that can sleep up to 4 and a master bedroom that can sleep up to 2. There is a living room, kitchen, and dining area that will accommodate all your in-house needs during your stay.
  • This is such a cute little place and perfect view!

    Stacey2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • The lake house is right across the street form the lake and has access to a dock. We came with our family and several kids. Everyone loved it! We went swimming, went on the kayaks and inflatable rafts. The lake was super clean and the water was pretty warm. We also BBQ'ed on the grill while we were here, making things easy on vacation. We took advantage of all the amenities. Christine & Kyle were fast with communication and great hosts! Thanks again!

    Ann2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Great place for vacation!

    Megan2019-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • This place is great! A really good location and you can’t beat having a lake right across the street. Christine and Kyle are very attentive and respond quickly to any needs you might have. It was a perfect place for our little family reunion. We grilled out one day and spent a lot of time on the front deck, enjoying the view and being serenaded by the loons. I definitely recommend this sweet little lake house.

    Alice2019-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful, relaxing spot on Webster Lake! Our second stay was even better than the first. The dock and water access is so convenient. We loved using the kayaks and hanging out by the water. The home is clean, cozy, and comfortable. We will be back again!

    Amy2019-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • My family of 4 and our pup had a great time staying at Christine and Kyle’s place! The house is cute and clean. Walking distance to the shared dock was very convenient with kiddos. Suggested local activities were helpful. Quick responses from the home owners with our questions/requests was much appreciated. We would definitely stay here again!

    Carrie2019-07-11T00:00:00Z
  • Great views and comfy beds!

  • Lorraine’s place is great. She USA great host and anticipated all possible needs. We wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again!

    Paul2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Lorraine was an amazing hostess! From the moment we arrived, she made us feel right at home. She made homemade blueberry muffins for us which was very thoughtful and she went out of her way to bring more ice packs when she heard we needed some more for the cooler. The cabin was great! It does get cooler at night so I would recommend people to bring sweaters. I would definitely stay again:)

    Malky2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Lorraine was friendly and the amenities were great! Her cats were also fun.

    Logan2019-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • Extremely cute rustic cabin hidden away down the hill from the owner's property. Quite private, with very thoughtful touches such as electric candles to light the stairs at night, coffee, camp stove, grill, outhouse, firepit, cribbage board. Showers and great conversation available up at the house :D. Lorraine and her husband and cats are really lovely - we love cats but for those who don't, she was careful to keep them out of our way. She gave us great directions for a hike and let us borrow a map to make sure we could get there, which was very helpful. The only downside was it was a little bit buggy, as we were there after a rain.

    Rebecca2019-06-30T00:00:00Z
  • This was the perfect weekend escape. Lorraine and her husband Jay were lovely hosts and the cabin was cozy and peaceful. This is an especially good escape for those looking to totally unplug because cell phone service doesn’t work (we have AT&T) and we needed that extra nudge to totally unplug. Definitely a place we would come back to.

    Megan2018-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • A great place to get away from busy life and Lorraine is a wonderful host making sure we had everything we needed

    Pam2017-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • We couldn't have asked for a better stay! Lorraine's cabin is cozy and secluded. Tucked away in the woods of NH. My partner and I stayed for 2 nights and loved every minute of it. The definition of a romantic off grid "glamping" experience!

  • Ulrike's place was amazing. A beautiful farm with a great view. We fell in love with those alpacas! Also, the farm next door is a must-have for breakfast. We would definately love to come back and visit again!

    Mike2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • Ulrike's place was absolutely perfect. Her home was filled with thoughtful touches from handmade soaps to artwork of her alpacas. The farm itself featured stunning grounds and the welcome wagon (aka Ulrike, her pups, kittens, chickens, and alpacas) made the stay superbly special. The bed was extremely comfortable and the home had anything you could need. Ulrike was also full of local knowledge and helped make our visit to New Hampshire even better than we anticipated. The location was quiet but conveniently close to town. Would love to return!

    Samantha2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Ulrike's place is a location we can't wait to return to! So special and welcoming.

    Angela2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • The house is cozy and warm and there is welcoming committee of lovely and playful dogs and kitties. Rickki made the experience wonderful, friendly and fun! We even were able to partake in a wonderful dinner and soapmaking class and meet some new people in the process. We will return in the spring hopefully so we can see the lovely family again.

    Robin2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • What an incredibly unique home! This was truly above and beyond what we expected. We loved the little touches, feeling welcomed, waking up to a hot breakfast, meeting the alpacas and collecting chicken eggs, everything! Can’t wait to come back!! I would recommend this home to ANYONE but especially to someone looking for more than just a place to lay their head down. The farm was a truly unique experience and stay

    Dina2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Such a fun, short little visit. We had been looking for a place to stay that was decently close to the Whites (compared to Boston). Her home (1820s farm house) is as advertised: cozy space, nice rooms, warm clean bathroom. Definitely a place for animal-lovers! Whether you like dogs, cats or alpacas, there's an animal to entertain. Ulrike made us dinner and breakfast which we don't ever expect from an AirBnb-- She's a great cook! Fun conversation, unique place, highly recommend.

    Justin2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Ulrike has a beautiful home and is a very hospitable host. Would absolutely recommend!

This room is on second floor of 1900 home. I just switched the bed from a Full to a Queen. Summers there are lots of flower gardens here and a porch you may relax on and sip your drink or morning coffee. I am on the rail trail so you can bike, walk, run, x country ski for miles just outside the door. close to river, walking distance to Proctor Academy, Jakes Market, post office, library, bank. I do have a friendly dog (and a shy cat) No smoking in or near home.
Colorful home with wood floors and rugs, wood stove, ... kitchen with eat in island. The bedroom is very sunny and bright....lots of windows.
  • Perfect for visit @ Proctor👍🏻. Short walk to dorms & campus from Kim’s lovely home. Loved sunny large upstairs bedroom & bathroom. Easy in & out related to school activities & best is just 1 minute from Campus!

  • The room was perfect! I was visiting my daughter who attends Proctor so the location was great. Kim was the excellent host who made me feel welcome. I enjoyed the location as I could xc ski from the front door to the Nordic trails at Proctor. I would recommend this location to anyone visiting Andover.

  • Kim's place was amazing. I came to visit my sister who teaches at Proctor, and the place was very close (walking distance.) The house is lovely, with a wraparound porch surrounded by flowers. If I had more time, I would've loved to sip coffee on one of the many places to relax out there. She has a private walkway to the rail trail, which is great for running/biking/etc. The room was huge and comfy, Kim was very kind, and her dog is a beauty! Would def. stay again.

    Greg2017-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely delightful . Comfortable, warm, clean, sunny. Kim is kind and welcoming and you feel like you are staying with a friend. Right on ski trails and perfect for walking to Proctor!!Will visit again and again.
