Just minutes from Elgin & Sonoita area wineries - Breathtaking mountain views - World renowned hunting and birding opportunities! 25 minutes from most places on Ft. Huachuca! Gorgeous casita (studio guest house), 400 sq.ft. open floor plan that sleeps up to 4 with 1 queen-size bed, and couch that folds out into a full-size bed. Full bathroom w/ shower. Kitchenette w/ refrigerator, microwave, stove, toaster oven, sink, & coffee makers (standard and K-cup). Smart TV, DVD, and high speed wifi.
We clean the casita thoroughly between stays to ensure the health and safety of our guests. We have put a lot of consideration into how we clean in light of the current situation, and are confident that the casita is the type of place we would feel safe staying in. The casita is detached from the hosts' main residence, providing you plenty of privacy. The casita has a cozy porch for guest use to take in all of the mountain views and stunning sunsets. Ample parking space available for guests. The kitchenette is stocked with everything you need to cook with. There is a refrigerator/freezer, 2-burner electric cooktop stove, microwave, countertop toaster oven, sink, and three types of coffee makers (Kuerig, travel mug, and standard). Decent supply of K-cups, sugar, and creamer on hand. We have several free range chickens on the property, and collect up to 20 fresh eggs per day, so please just say the word if you want free eggs! All common eating and cooking utensils provided, as well as plates, bowls, pans, etc. All we ask is that you please help with basic clean-up of used kitchen items (we don't charge a cleaning fee). After washing your dishes, please leave them on the counter or in the sink so we can make sure they are thoroughly cleaned for the next guests. We just added a grill for casita guests - We keep the valve on top of the propane tank shut off, and ask that you fully close it after each use to help ensure the tank doesn't leak. The couch folds out into a full size bed. Extra sheets and pillow cases are kept in the dresser, and extra pillows and blankets are in the closet. The top of the coffee table by the couch lifts up to make a convenient table to eat at or to setup your laptop. There is an extra supply of soap, shampoo, conditioner, and toothpaste kept below the bathroom sink, in case you forget anything, as well as a hair dryer. The bathroom is kept stocked with two towels (extras in the closet), two washcloths, and a hand towel for each stay. If you need more for your stay just let the host know ahead of time via message and we'll make sure more are available for your visit. The 32" Samsung Smart TV has all common apps (Netflix ((guest access included)), Amazon Prime, Pandora, etc.) and also receives 30+ over-the-air channels from Tucson. A DVD player is also provided. Please keep in mind that the casita is located in a rural area, and internet service occasionally drops or is weak (usually only a few hours per month or during storms), therefore limiting video streaming services.
Located about 1/8th of a mile off Highway 82 on a neatly graded gravel drive. Rural and quiet country setting with stunning views of the Mustang Mountains, Whetstone Mountains, and million-dollar sunsets over the Santa Rita Mountains. Local mule deer roam the area and the hosts have a few free-range turkeys that also roam the property. Parker Canyon Lake and Patagonia Lake are both approximately 1/2-hour drives away. A perfectly located start and end-point for your Sonoita-Elgin wine tour (the wineries are only minutes away), bird watching, or hunting adventures!
  • Great place to stay! Super comfy bed, clean space, well stocked kitchen, and gorgeous views of mountains and beautiful sunsets. We came for a distanced anniversary getaway and it was perfect. We mostly stayed at the Casita, which was wonderful, but it is also a great jumping off point for all the wineries in the area if you're here for that. Very kind hosts with a lovely family (including fun farm animals and a very sweet puppy!) Thanks Josh and family!

  • This is an amazing Casita and wonderful host. Clean and well apportioned. I recommend Josh’s Casita to all who want to experience Elgin and the surrounding area.

  • In Josh’s own words, his homestead is a beautiful slice of heaven. He is a great host and has created a welcoming environment.

    Terrence2020-04-12T00:00:00Z
  • This place was absolutely amazing! The location is gorgeous and quiet! The host was very welcoming and actually came out to speak to us! That was a first with our airbnb experience. The decor inside and out is very stylish. If this was an actual tiny home for sale, would definitely buy! My girlfriend and I stayed over for a night as we were traveling back home from a cross-country drive (from SC-CA). This was our last stop of the whole trip. Definitely a great place to end our trip with. We would have stayed a few more nights if we had the time. On our next trip through Arizona, we will definitely be picking this place again! :)

    Sean2020-04-09T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderful casita in an amazing place! Josh is a great host, and we would highly recommend the place to anyone wanting to check out the area or for a relaxing getaway.

    Blake2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Immaculate, new construction casita in the country. The owner thought of everything. Fabulously comfortable bed, large closet, fully loaded kitchen, and peace.

    Theresa2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • The casita is cute and beautifully renovated/modeled. The kitchenette has everything you’ll need, and we were so thankful for the complimentary coffee!! The views are absolutely stunning and the location is very close to everything you’d want to do in that area (wineries, rodeo, restaurants). We will be back!

    Jacquelyn2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay. Quiet and views were great. The place was super clean and cozy. The location was perfect. 8 min to local watering hole and restaurants and 30 min to Tombstone and then Bisbee. Had a great stay. Josh was very friendly and knowledgeable. We will stay again if returning. Highly recommended

Snuggle into your cozy Tiny House haven in a remote arroyo of your own which paradoxically is extremely close to the charming little mountain pueblo of Patagonia! Ideally suitable for one or two guests, the spartan yet tasteful layout will provide the essential comforts of home plus immediate access to the glorious nature setting of this sky island area.
  • What is not to love about this peaceful, quiet, cozy retreat! The Tiny House has everything you need with so many sweet touches in how it is furnished and decorated. Plus your hosts are wonderful, so thoughtful and available if you need them.

    Sarah2020-05-06T00:00:00Z
  • This tiny house has all you need and much more—-a sweet, comfortable, quiet and peaceful retreat.

    Sarah2020-04-27T00:00:00Z
  • Elvia has been a wonderful host, and our stay here has exceeded our expectations. Lots of thoughtful details make you feel right at home. Comfortable bed, nice shower, tasteful decor, and lots of places to sit and enjoy your beautiful surroundings. Easy access to the town and hiking trails, and excellent bird-watching. Would highly recommend a stay here.

    Andrew2020-03-26T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful little house. Very quiet and quaint. It is very clean and had everything we could need. We enjoyed having our tea outside in the mornings. The town of Patagonia is fun. The first night there we were invited to a pancake feed with mesquite flour pancakes and prickly pear syrup. A local band played folk music. There was dancing and lots of laughing.

    Diane2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Such a sweet little place to be. The hosts are very wonderful people and will go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and welcome in the casita as well as in Patagonia. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and look forward to a return visit.

    Marty2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • This is an adorable casita with really nice updates. My stay was super comfortable and the place was very clean. It has all the amenities you could want for a visit to Sonoita wine country, plus it's less than a half mile from Copper Brothel Brewery and Tia Nita's. You have all the convenience of being close to "town" but still get to enjoy spectacular night skies. Anna was very responsive. Make sure you stop by the Rune tasting room while you're there too. Salud!

    Kati2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Anna is a great host and her casita is comfy and well appointed. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was very clean, the kitchen has everything you need for one night or even a week's stay! We loved the area, although it is located right on a road it was very quiet. We look forward to visiting again.

    Ben2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • We had a very nice stay at Anna’s place. The space was new, very nice and clean. Anna was a very responsive hostess and was very clear in her communications. Wish we had more time to stay and explore! Would highly recommend Anna’s place!

  • The Winemaker's Casita was a terrific place to stay! Super clean, stylish modern space, with everything we needed for our stay. Great location near beautiful wildlife/birding areas (Patagonia, Las Cienegas, etc.). Anna was very responsive to communication. The perfect "getaway" that's still "near" it all! Our stand alone southwestern bunkhouse offers comfortable accommodations in a very unique setting, surrounded by thousands of acres of the Coronado National forest. Located in the desirable Sonoita/Elgin area of Southern Arizona. From just soaking up the quiet serenity for a day or two, to an adventure filled longer stay, we can help tailor your experience to enjoy the many different things to see and do in the area.
You can expect an abundance of great weather, as our 5000 foot elevation keeps you 10 to 15 degrees cooler than the Tucson/Phoenix area in the Summer, while still providing mild temps throughout the Winter...… Sunny and dry is the norm with inspiring sunrises, breathtaking sunsets, and night skies that leave you in awe.
The diversity of "things to do" run the gamut from hundreds of hiking trails, world famous birding both migratory and residents, fishing/kayaking/boating at Parker Canyon Lake, lots of wildlife, very popular bicycling routes, many wineries being in the heart of Arizona's famous wine country, great restaurants/brew pub in Sonoita, the quirky town of Patagonia and Patagonia State Park, Montezuma Pass/Coronado National Memorial, shopping in Sierra Vista, day trips to the cowboy town of Tombstone and the mining town of Bisbee, hunting, ATV/ 4 wheeling, great motorcycling roads, close to Mexico and it's shopping/dining opportunities, and much, much more.
  • Peace and tranquility

    Shayna2020-03-29T00:00:00Z
  • This bunkhouse was great for us (two people)- close to a lake and with gorgeous mountain views, with a very calm and welcoming feel. The room is not large but was very well laid out and had everything we could need. It was also very clean and easy to relax in. Dave was friendly and a great host and the property is easy to find with a map. We had a wonderful stay and will come back!

    Cole2020-03-22T00:00:00Z
  • Really neat little "tiny house"- just difficult to find in the dark. Very very remote. Comfortable bed and nice bathroom.

  • Great place to stay down in southern Arizona. Beautiful location

    Scott2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • The Bunkhouse was a great retreat. We completely enjoyed our stay and would highly recommended this experience.

    Belen2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Overall we had a great stay. We arrived a little later then anticipated but the owners helped us find our way. WiFi and cell service was tough to get at the house as well as hot water. Location was great as far as views go. Was a little further out than what we expected. Overall I’d recommend!

    Derrick2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • The bunk house trip was a totally incredible experience! Dave was great to work with, and the house was clean, unique, perfect, and both rustic and modern at the same time. The property was unique and very exciting to be in, and the ambiance was just what we needed for our one night getaway.

    Taylor2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • The bunkhouse is a great place to unplug. Really peaceful surroundings and lovely hosts who run such a wonderful ranch. They have an awesome dog who will greet you at the gate and is so sweet. Keep in mind this accommodation is a bit far out from anything and without good cell service or WiFi, but I think the hosts make that very clear (and we were perfectly fine with it).

A beautiful setting with a very comfy and clean home. The house offers a screened in porch from which to watch beautiful sunsets and an outdoor Ramada from which to bird watch, grill or enjoy a glass of wine. Under the Oaks is located under 3 enormous oak trees; hence the name. These beautiful trees offer shade, scenery and homes to many varieties of birds.
The home has 3 bedrooms. 2 bedrooms have queen beds and the third bedroom has twin beds. There are 2 sofas that can also accommodate sleepers although they are not sleeper sofas. There are 2 full bathrooms. One has a shower, the second has both a bathtub and a shower. Plenty of towels, shampoo, conditioner and hand soaps are available for you use! The screened in porch provides gorgeous views of the Santa Rita mountains. The Outdoor ramada offers bird watching, sunrises and a great place to enjoy a glass of wine!
The wineries are all within a short drive! Patagonia and Nogales are only a 20-30 minute drive away. Sierra Vista (with spectacular bird watching in the Huachuca Mountains!) Kartchner Caverns, Bisbee, and Tombstone, are a very easy 45 minute drive!
  • What a beautiful location and lovely house. We had an amazing stay and highly recommend this unique rural property in beautiful southern Arizona.

  • Awesome place!

    Brent2020-04-29T00:00:00Z
  • This is such a nice retreat! The area is private and scenic with just a short drive to hikes and wine.

  • Location was incredible! The house was lovely! Would stay here again for sure!

    Allison2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • We had an absolute fabulous stay. The photos do not do the home and property justice. It is quite beautiful and offers awesome serenity under the oak trees, and the amenities and special touches in the home really make you feel welcome. We loved our stay and will return.

  • Loved it!

    Marshall2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • This is our third stay at this house. The home is filled with love and care. Home is on a ranch and that is how it feels. Open air, open space and views of mountains, ranges, meadows of rolling hills as far as the eyes can see. The bedding is soft, all Cotten perfect comfort. Lots of pillows, blankets and quilts. Plenty of soft fluffy towels. Kitchen is fully equipped even with paper plates! The well water is the very best, no bottled water necessary. Makes exceptional coffee. We tried the new brewery in Sonoita. The appetizers are very GOOD. lots of home brew beer for the tasting. This is the best place to relax. The enclosed porch invites to get comfortable, grab a book and a glass wine. Let everything else pass you by. Enjoy

Extra large master bedroom suite with king bed, futon and large master bathroom located in winery in the heart of Arizona's oldest and original wine country. The bedroom is located on the second floor with stairway access only.
  • What a great place to stay in the heart of wine country! Our host went above and beyond to make us comfortable during our stay. The sunsets and star gazing was amazing. The room was comfy and large. Very comfortable king size bed. 10/10 would recommend. Will likely visit again.

  • Great place to stay! My second time here. Although the circumstances were not ideal (during the pandemic) the location was perfect for escaping the craziness. Wide open spaces!!!!

    Tracy2020-03-23T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome views. Sunset and sunrise.

    Alec2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was wonderful - the room above the winery tasting room is private, comfortable, and spacious. The bathroom is amazing and the balcony overlooking the property is perfect for watching the sun rise and set. I highly recommend this room! You can't beat the location (close to a handful of other wineries too!), the hosts are attentive and hospitable, and they have great wine too! We will definitely stay again. (Bonus: there is a Keurig in the room 😁)

    Michelle2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Enjoyed our stay. Beautiful views and excellent star-gazing. Great location as a base for wine tasting in the area, plus fun to stay right above a tasting room. Bring snacks as there's not a lot of food in the area. Also consider bringing an eye mask as the room is bright in the morning, could use room darkening shades/blinds.

    Joanne2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • What a perfect spot to stay to enjoy all the amazing aspects of Arizona wine country! The room itself was extremely spacious and had gorgeous views off the balcony and then of course it is in perfect proximity to all the wineries you could hope for. Our hosts were extremely gracious and went above and beyond making our experience great. Cannot wait to come back!

    Brittany2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • What a beautiful space. Everything was perfect, and the wine was great!

  • Kief-Joshua winery is a beautiful place. The family who own it are truly awesome people. While we were there getting married in a private ceremony, we felt as if we were home. This was our second time staying with them and hope to travel there again.

Beware, it is far from full service grocery stores, city lights, and fancy hot spots. However, this was a hot spot perfect for us. Relax, read, hike, or go to one of a couple decent restaurants or vineyards. Wonderful downtime where we could still work from our laptops part time.

    Bob2020-03-29T00:00:00Z
  • An absolute gem of a place for those seeking a quiet getaway in Arizona's wine country. The pet friendliness was a major plus since we were able to bring our dog and hiking companion. The bunkhouse is located on a horse ranch with amazing views of the rolling hills of grass and mountains common to the region and is only a 10 minute drive from the town of Sonoita. The space is small but well economized with sufficient room and cookware in the kitchenette for making your own meals. The internet was fast and reliable and we appreciated the selection of DVDs provided to accompany the television. Overall if you want to experience the quietness of living on a ranch for a few days while exploring beautiful southern Arizona this is an ideal place to stay.

    Joshua2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • Cute studio in Elgin/Sonoita wine country that is also close to great birding hotspots. We originally booked this place because we are bird watchers, but since we are also wine drinkers we decided to spend one of our days touring the wineries. To our surprise we were very impressed with the wines (and bought a lot to take home)! The “bunkhouse” has a great view on the back porch and the sunset views from both the front and back were mind blowing!

    Judy2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome place to stay if you the horses or just want a place to crash for a wine tour weekend. Very relaxing property, functional space, and fun. You’ll love staying here!

  • Great little cabin! Super clean and comfy home for the weekend. Not too far away from eateries but enough to feel out in the country. David was so helpful and friendly when my hubby met him while walking our dog. Also great place to stay if you have a puppers! Dog-friendly is a huge plus including the wineries!

A private room in a 105 year old house in the heart of Patagonia. Right next door to Patagonias only health food store, Red Mountain Foods and across the street from the Patagonia town park. View the Butterfly Garden from the front window. Hike, bike and walk to all local attractions. Less than a mile from Audubons Paton Center for birding.
This house is a unique space located on the main street of Patagonia. Although we are next door to a market and across the alley from the public library it is quiet and private.
The neighborhood is quiet with little traffic at night. We are located in what is considered downtown but you won't notice. From our home you can walk everywhere; shopping, library, postoffice and recreation. You'll hear dogs barking ( the neighbor dogs name is Pippa) and chickens clucking. It is common to see Javalinas in the alley and across the street in the park. Dont forget to close the gate- Javalinas love to eat our flowers.
  • We can't say enough good things about this place! It was cute, quiet, comfortable, and close to everything. The amenities were thoughtful and just what we needed. I especially loved the items made by local artists, I had to head to the art co-op (conveniently just a few doors away) and buy something for myself! We will most certainly book this location again when we return to Patagonia.

    Kris2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Gorgeously decorated, the Painter Guest House is a comfortable space to relax in and a great base for birding. I would definitely stay here again. Perfect for visiting Paton’s Center for Hummingbirds.

  • We loved this place! It is really in a perfect location. Across the street from a park and next door to a great market, walking distance to a coffee shop. Super comfortable bed and pillows! Will for sure stay here again next time we go to southern AZ.

  • I've stayed here before. Great space and location. Z and C are very hospitable and accommodating. I've been coming to Patagonia for over 20 years. Their place is hands down best place to stay in area in terms of value, comfort and locale.

We love vintage mobile homes remodeled from the frame up to include modern appliances and amenities. Our place is conveniently located just minutes away from the Nature Conservancy and the Paton Center for Hummingbirds. We are in town within walking distance from Patagonia art, culture and dining. The world famous Wagon Wheel Saloon is right down the street. So whether you are a couple, a solo adventurer on the AZ Trail, or a business traveler on the go, our place will suit your needs.
The Nest is intended to be an efficient studio that includes a modern, walk-in shower, a comfortable full size bed, an efficiency kitchen with refrigerator and microwave. The space is comfortable and cozy with heating and air conditioner. There is a small porch and private yard for rest and relaxation. Some of our guests like to set up their chairs for a view of the sunset on Red Mountain. If you are looking for a five star resort, Trump Towers, or the Hyatt, this is probably NOT the space for you. We don’t have fancy soaps or shampoos or conditioners. The oven is actually a space saver. And the windows are vintage and original. However, if you are an incurable romantic, or a trekker in need of a hot shower and a bed, or someone new to town looking for a great getaway along the Sonoita Creek, the Nest IS the place for you. We provide hot showers with soft towels, comfortable beds with clean sheets, and clean accommodations for that special getaway. We look forward to hosting you and your guest. Book the Nest today.
The neighborhood is a typical Patagonia neighborhood. Mobile homes butted up against million dollar homes. Funky and eccentric, just the way we like it! Please note that our spaces are a small part of a larger project going on in our park.
  • The Nest was a great place to stay in Patagonia. Simple and close to everything. I would go back.

    Cassandra2020-03-11T00:00:00Z

  • Awesome place to stay in Patagonia! Walking distance to trails, hummingbird sanctuary, and downtown. Cute and clean and relaxing.

    Chase2019-12-25T00:00:00Z
  • The Nest was just as described. It’s no frills, yet cozy. (It is a trailer). We never had to drive anywhere, because the Patton Hummingbird Center, Nature Conservatory and restaurants were all within walking distance. The price was right and we had a nice weekend getaway in a part of Arizona that very few even know about. Patagonia is beautiful!

A little house in the back next door to Dos Cabezas WineWorks.
Situated in the heart of Sonoita, enjoy the bounty of all the area has to offer from wine tasting to birding and everything in between. Grab a glass of wine and head next door to take in the sunsets or monsoon rains. The casita has a kitchen complete with refrigerator, dishwasher & oven. There is a bathroom, a king-sized bed and a sleeper sofa.
We are located within walking distance of all of the local restaurants and shops. There are a couple of nice boutique stores in the area. There are two markets across the street in case you forgot something that we don't have. And of course, we're next door to Dos Cabezas WineWorks, so you can pick up wine for your vacation.
  • Perfect location, perfect space. Clean and comfortable. Right in the middle of everything. This is where you should stay if you come to Sonoita.

    M2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • I would highly recommend staying at Todd and Kelly’s place while enjoying the beautiful wine country of Arizona!

    Charleen2019-12-11T00:00:00Z
  • We were really happy with our stay! The location is phenomenal and the accommodations were lovely. Check in was a breeze during our tasting and we could not have been happier with our decision to stay here. Would highly recommend!

    Raechel2019-12-08T00:00:00Z

  • A great place to stay! Perfect location.

    Deborah2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • Stylish western aesthetic with a super comfortable bed. Located right behind the tasting room. Our tasting was really good. Walking distance to the Cafe (no sidewalk though) which has great comfort food and local wines. Close to a lot of beautiful hikes.

    Catherine2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Comfy bed. Satellite tv and wifi were great. Fully stocked kitchen. Extra linens and towels. Perfect place for a couple or a family with small children. I would definitely book this again.

    Sara2019-11-04T00:00:00Z
  • Todd & Kelly’s place is absolutely perfect. Tucked in behind the wine tasting room, its quiet and private with everything you need. The have a spacious front yard (excellent for taking some nights shots pf the stars). Location is ultra convenient, with great access from fuel to food and most important wine. I would definitively book it again.

This is a great alternative to hotel or extended stay living arrangements. Perfect for traveling nurses, military, contractors or just visitors! Large (1100 sf) two bedrooms, two full bathrooms, washer/dryer, central air, wi-fi and more. Kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to create a great meal! Patio has bbq, table and chairs for outdoor enjoyment. Just bring your suitcase and go grocery shopping! Very clean, quiet & private! See below -
Dogs are a maybe. Cats are no-go. Also, please know I own two identical buildings. They are four-plex apartments; two up and two down and they are located two blocks apart. Same furnishings, etc. Equally nice. I will give the exact address upon confirmation because some guests do not book through this site and some have special requests (only want a downstairs because can't negotiate stairs; or only want upstairs for view, etc.). Not doing a "bait and switch" just trying to accommodate everyone! Thanks for understanding!

Built in 1984 by modernist architect William Cook, this house was his first residential project after "retiring" to Sonoita. With an inherent sense of balance, the house sits atop a hill overlooking the grasslands of the Santa Rita foothills. Brick floors, 15-foot ceilings, and walls of windows bring the outdoors in. Fully renovated in 2018, Sunrise Ranch is perfect for your peaceful getaway. Horses are welcome in the barn. The rodeo, Elgin wineries and Patagonia are all just minutes away!
Two bedrooms on opposite ends of the house afford visitors excellent privacy. Each bedroom has its own full bathroom. Large windows in almost every room look over the rolling hills of the high desert grasslands. Vaulted 15-foot ceilings in the living and dining space lead up to a unique 6-foot pyramid shaped skylight. The kitchen has been completely modernized with new countertops and appliances. Mature apple and young apricot and peach trees are in the front garden - if there is fruit, please feel free to pick and eat! The courtyard garden is a lush and lovely oasis with blackberry bushes and lots of drought tolerant, butterfly and hummingbird friendly plants. We use non-toxic, eco-friendly cleaning products free of bleaches, pthalates, ammonia and other harsh chemicals. Our bath soaps are made by hand in Tucson. We reduce waste by using refillable shampoo, conditioner and soap dispensers. Horses are welcome in the steel barn in the lower pasture. We have two 170-square foot stables, each with a small pen attached.
The house is in a rural setting off a dirt road and surrounded by open grassland and cattle ranches. Neighbors are friendly and fairly close by and can often be found out walking the local trails.
  • Great setting and close to nearby amenities. Comfortable house with everything you need for a getaway.

    Lori2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Kaety's place is as beautiful as it looks in the photos and was fully stocked with everything you could need. We came for a girls reunion and enjoyed cooking, relaxing by the fire, and taking in the the beautiful scenery all around the property. We did have a bit of inclement weather, and I would echo the recommendation that a 4 wheel drive is best in that scenario to navigate the road in and out of the property. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

    Kelly2020-02-23T00:00:00Z

    Paulette2020-02-04T00:00:00Z
  • Gorgeous home in a spectacular landscape; better than the photos. The kitchen is fully equipped for serious cooking/baking and there is plenty of common space for meals, games, hanging out. Hosts were communicative and very helpful. Precipitation can make the road a bit muddy and challenging, but even in a low-clearance 2WD we managed fine.

    Nelson2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • Kaety’s place in Sonoita is gorgeous (even better than the photos)! The location is beautiful, check-in was easy, and the house was decorated very nicely with all the amenities you could wish for for a comfortable stay with a truly “at home” feeling. We have stayed at a number of AirBnbs in the past and Kaety’s place in Sonoita is the first time we felt like we would definitely like to return to in the future for a longer stay! Thanks so much Kaety!

    Tashena2019-12-21T00:00:00Z
  • No question- this place is truly 5 STAR ! Kaety and her home are amazing! We were lucky enough to book for 4 nights and it was the most relaxing and comfortable stay for all of us. The home was not only gorgeous and stylish, but spotless when we arrived. All amenities were in place, and there was even a fantastic welcome gift waiting for us. This home is impeccably clean, cozy and well appointed. They have thought through every last detail which made our stay easy and enjoyable. Our host was easily available for questions and so kind. The location is breathtaking with gorgeous views for miles. Plenty to do and see just minutes away. Thank you for having us all and we hope to come back again and again!

COVID-19 NOTE: WE ARE KEEPING THIS PLACE UNOCCUPIED FOR 3 DAYS BETWEEN EACH RESERVATION. Patagonia is not full of million dollar homes - it does have lots of funky homes like this little old trailer - redecorated to provide a clean, cheerful and economical stay so that you can enjoy the town and the surrounding areas. Walk down 800' of paved sidewalk to post office and bakery! (FYI my husband and cohost is English and 'cheap and cheerful' is an English expression - so - Bob's your uncle! )
Simple all electric kitchen includes single induction cooktop, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker, kettle, and fridge. Interior doorways curtained to increase space and accessibility. Screen porch includes table and chairs. For the writers, poets and yogis - there is an uncluttered extra room with a desk, yoga mat and meditation cushion. There is off-street parking, check-in with keypad and high speed WiFi.
You'll be close to all the action in Patagonia and because of its size you can soon be out in the countryside - hiking or biking or birding.
  • Spent 2 nights and the house was comfortable and relaxing. Full kitchen for meals, nice screened in porch overlooking a small meadow. Bed was very comfortable. The town of Patagonia a lovely town to know, and beautiful Patagonia lake a 20 minute drive away. I definitely plan to stay again.

    George2020-05-05T00:00:00Z

    Lawton2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • The space was actually bigger than we expected. And we would have used the screened in entrance area every day...if it hadn’t rained as much (lol!). Could quickly and easily walk to the Main Street with restaurants, grocery store, art store, etc. so super convenient location. Had everything we needed.

    Michelle2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • We came down for a 2 day dirtbike event through TRS called There Will Be Dust. Through text messages Virginia was so very kind and helpful . She updated me about how the town park on Friday was starting to fill up with other riders. I text her and told her our later approximat arrival time. She went over turned on a few lights for us and the heat. So when we got there in the dark we had a nice warm cozy little place to relax and get ready for our super amazing big day. All worked out perfect. Good weather for riding motorcycle in the dirt and a nice cozy little place to relax when we were all done. Thank you again for sharing your rental home with us and for your amazing hospitality.

    Heather2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • It is a great for through hikers that want a night on a bed. It is right on the AZT. Big trucks start rolling through the road early but that's no big deal for the early rising hiker.

My husband and I spend our anniversary weekend touring the winery’s, we enjoyed our stay at Laura’s home. The hot tub was a wonderful delight which we were able to enjoy. We would definitely consider staying there again for future trips.

  • Everything was very clean, warm and welcoming. The house has a beautiful view and is right down the street from one of my favorite wineries I got to visit. We woke up to fresh coffee and lemon bread which was a nice touch. Don’t forget your swimsuit, the hot tub is a great way to end the night!

    Laura2019-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Really cute and cozy place. Glad only one room was rented so we didn't have to share the bathroom with anyone else. New puppy, Nacho, was sooo adorable! The place is really chilly (don't believe there is a heater) but there is an extra blanket in the closet, which we should have used (our own faults). Centrally located to wineries and the two main restaurants. Would stay again if we're in the area.

    Sally2018-12-30T00:00:00Z

Surround yourself with nature in this quiet, cozy, private get-away. This spacious guest room has its own entrance and private covered patio with a gorgeous view of mountain ranges in all directions. Enjoy birding, boating, hiking and swimming with the lake only 3 minutes away. Ideally located between Patagonia and Nogales. All natural fibers (wool, cotton, jute, linen) and 100% organic cotton sheets. A mini-fridge, organic snacks, tea, coffee, shampoo, bath salts, and sundries are provided.
You'll see a variety of birds near-by as well as occasional cows grazing in the distance. The dark skies make star gazing easy. Sleep well in luxurious down bedding and wake refreshed to explore the local offerings. This twin mattress is firm and very comfortable and a queen air mattress can also be added upon request for extra sleeping space for a second guest. The space is clean and includes a high speed internet/ Wi-Fi connection. Parking just in front of house on a quiet road with a pathway that winds around to the guest room entrance. Whether you want to just relax and head to the near-by lake or use this location as a jumping off point for jaunts into Patagonia, Nogales, Mexico, or the vineyards, it is the perfect spot. It is the perfect place to enjoy some quiet time in a serene setting.
The Patagonia Lake State Park is a true gem with amazing hiking trails at the Sonoita Creek Natural Area. It is also nice to walk directly from the house and enjoy the views. We have great neighbors, but these lots are large so you'll barely be able to see a few houses in the distance. Mostly what you'll see are the circle of mountains in all directions. At night the twinkling lights of Rio Rico and Nogales are visible.
  • We had a great stay at Juliet’s home and highly recommend this location for a variety of reasons.....Juliet was a great host who made us feel very comfortable and welcome, the room was super clean and filled with thoughtful decor, interesting books, and eco-conscious/ local products. There was an amazing view of Mt. Wrightson and the surrounding Santa Rita mountains from the room and the cozy patio. The location is also minutes from Patagonia Lake. This is a great place for a meditative retreat from the city and also makes a great base camp for outdoor adventures in Patagonia!

    Jason2020-04-19T00:00:00Z
  • Wow!! What an amazing stay! Juliet is responsive, friendly, and provides a fresh little space for you to make the most of your Southern Arizona adventure! The room is clean, contemporary, and comes with a gorgeous view of grasslands and the sky islands! Enjoy some coffee or tea on your secluded patio, and then cruise over to Patagonia Lake State Park, just two miles down the road and full of unique wildlife. This room provides the simple comforts of a peaceful retreat and entices you to go out and explore your surroundings! Juliet helped me make the most of my stay by providing some local pro tips and made me feel at home at her unique location.

    Jill2020-04-10T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was exactly as advertised. Excellent view, stylish space, and very private even though attached to the main house. Very close to the lake and fishing, birdwatching, or very easy hiking. We arrived just after sunset and the area is pitch dark! So nice to get away! I’d imagine bringing a telescope would be rewarding. Town of Patagonia is a short drive away and Sonoita is about 30 minutes away if you want to check out the Meading Room, any of the vineyards, of the brewery (delicious beers and food!). Only drawback was the need to use a blowup mattress for sleeping (we stayed as a couple) because the daybed only sleeps one, comfortably.

    Audrey2020-03-22T00:00:00Z
  • If you are looking for a place to rest near Patagonia Lake with everything you need it is a perfect place

  • We have been AirBnBing for going on 10 years and Heidi's place was one of the true gems. The unit was sparkling clean, extremely well stocked and very comfortable. The price was also very competitive. Well done and we highly recommend this casita for your stay. You can't go wrong.

    Jane2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Heidi and Loren are ten star hosts! My new husband and I stayed there for our wedding weekend and they even got us champagne and made us chocolate covered strawberries! They were so generous with allowing my bridesmaids to park at their house as well so we could all get ready together at the air bnb. They even stopped in each morning to check on us! The space itself was so clean, comfortable, and spacious. Thanks for a great stay, Heidi and Loren!

    Danielle2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Every review I read was accurate. The Fairway Casita far exceeded my expectations. Heidi and Loren truly make you feel at home. Highly recommend if you want a 5 star experience.

    David2020-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • I had a great time at Amanda’s place. The communication was super easy and quick and the place looks exactly like it does in the pictures. The suite is very spacious and perfect for cleaning/organizing hiking gear and conveniently located on the Arizona Trail and close to local dining/shopping. The suite is very quiet with an AMAZING bed! Amanda was very helpful with local recommendations (Crown B $1 taco night!) and area points of interests. Would absolutely recommend to stay there!

The space was very clean, the bed was comfortable and soft, the kitchen is stocked with cooking utensils and a stove (though we didn't cook), we easily walked into town for a bite to eat, and Amanda herself is very personable. We wold recommend this place to anyone!

Very large, private room on 10 beautiful acres. Private entrance and full bath. Clean, comfortable and peaceful. Great birding, hiking, relaxing. Enjoy the view on a sunny patio while sipping your morning beverage. Accommodates 1-2 guests comfortably.
2 cozy beds, large room with table and chairs, 2 stuffed reading chairs, natural lighting, PRIVATE full bath, private entrance, 10 acres with a trail system and 5 sunny patios. Refrigerator and dishes in the room. Tea kettle and tea supplied. Enjoy freshly ground morning coffee. Two small dogs live here. Shiya and Lacey. There are lots of bird species that migrate through my yard in spring and fall. Resident birds are abundant.
My neighborhood is on a private road. A beautiful and peaceful walk to town only 2 miles away on a paved, rural road. There are lots of open spaces, air so clean that the stars at night are blinding, outrageous views especially from my home, a few quaint restaurants, and a charming coffee shop in town. Our local library and coffee shop have free WiFi internet connection.
  • They were incredibly thoughtful. Fast at respoding to messages. Very detailed in instructions. Absolutely beautiful property. Will definitely visit again!

    Gordon2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • This rural property is a birdwatcher’s dream destination although we were a bit early in the season. Stargazers would also love it even though it was a bit too cold to be out for long. Kathy and Nathan are friendly and hospitable people, knowledgable and happy to share.

    Trish2020-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • Super nice people. Magical place.

    Clay2020-01-31T00:00:00Z
  • Kathy's place is etched in my memory from 2-3 years ago. I gave too-short notice to be able to stay with her last week, as my routes this trip were decided from moment to moment. She responded within an hour or so but we had already passed Patagonia, I'm sorry to say. Her home is beautiful! The accommodations comfortable, welcoming, and peaceful. I will be back, with better planning.

This spacious guesthouse is in an ideal rural setting. Located near the Mexican border and the art community at Tubac, and the old Spanish mission of Tumacacori, there is lots to see and do. (Not to mention the many good golf courses nearby!) Come on over, everyone is welcome! Despite COVID 19 you may still need to travel. To make your stay both pleasant and sanitary I steam clean floors, sani-wash all linens and towels, and wipe counters, sinks and toilet with clorox spray. Rest easy here!
The guesthouse in nearly 400 square feet. The well stocked kitchen has a microwave, a two burner stove top, a small fridge, a coffee maker, electric teapot, toaster, dishes, pots and pans, and a dining table with 4 chairs. The bathroom and shower are ample and well stocked. The California king bed, dresser, desk, and sofa are all comfortable and inviting. Outside you will see a patio table with chairs and an umbrella. Enjoy the sunshine!
The guesthouse is in a rural area nestled into a dip on a ridge. The the house itself sits on 4 acres. There are neighbors nearby but not too close.
  • Karen is great. Smart, interesting, funny. She gives you your space but is very approachable. I liked the combination of privacy and proximity by having the outbuilding with her right next door. The place was clean, nicely decorated, and very comfortable. I loved the umbrella-covered table in the lovely backyard and sat out there every evening. Highly recommend!

  • It's rare to find that "perfect little Airbnb spot," but Karen has succeeded in creating it. Her guesthouse is inviting and comfortable, and she's really put thought into the needs of the traveler—not to mention the view from right outside the door is absolutely stunning. If you need a place to stay in the Rio Rico area, this is definitely it.

    Kayleigh2020-03-27T00:00:00Z

  • I came to stay at Deep Dirt with my partner Claire, and our time here not only made for a wonderfully romantic anniversary; it also had a meaningful impact on the direction of our lives. Kate is an incredibly inspiring woman who I feel lucky to have had the opportunity to meet and learn from. Mackenzie is equally delightful and we enjoyed her thorough tour of the farm. We didn’t get to meet Richard, but look forward to doing so on our next visit. The inside of the adobe house was more spacious and comfortable than the pictures would have you believe, and the little propane heater kept us warm in mid-January. At night, step outside to see the a dark and star filled sky and hear coyotes calling back and forth. During the day you can hang out with the ducks and forage in the greenhouse. The outdoor shower is a must. And the nearby town of Patagonia is so quaint and charming. We left Deep Dirt feeling grounded, centered, refreshed, and inspired. Excited to come back again soon.

  • A visit to Deep Dirt Farm is not to be missed!

    Carolyn2019-11-26T00:00:00Z
  • What an amazing property! Richard, Kate, and MacKenzie were kind and informative. Their project in permaculture is truly amazing and interesting - if you are interested in such things, try to see if they will give you a little tour of what they are doing! The room is very small and basic but functional. Definitely check out the "outdoor" shower and composting toilet - very cool. Thanks Deep Dirt Institute for a memorable stay!

  • What a special and fascinating tract of land and special people who care for it. I felt blessed to get to know Kate and learn what she has to share that can create a sustainable society for humans to continue on our planet. The space was very peaceful. A wonderful way to spend a weekend.

It's about a 10-minute drive to the main gate of Fort Huachuca. We are also minutes away from popular hiking and sightseeing areas.
  • A nice little efficiency apartment in Sierra Vista. Very clean and easy to find. The shower is small, but the space overall is great. Quiet area to be in, close to Ramsey Canyon. Beautiful views of Miller Peak also.

In addition, it is less than an hour to Madera Canyon and approximately thirty minutes to Patagonia and the San Rafael grasslands. The rental was clean and quiet. It’s situated in a small gated community. There’s a mini fridge and a microwave, with coffee and bottled water waiting for you. The king-sized bed is extremely comfortable. • If you come for only a day or two, you will enjoy the accommodations, the scenery, and the e town with an opera house that you're living in the country. But if you stay a couple of weeks you will discover a rich environment to explore, including a unique town with an opera house, hiking trails from the property, and hosts who leave with a tear in your eye.

  • If you want a spot in the grassy hills around Patagonia that's quiet and cute this is the place for you. The house is charming as are the hosts.

  • This is a very nice guest suite in an occupied house on a hill, convenient to the town of Patagonia but out of the way of the urban hustle & bustle. Very friendly & hospitable family hosts.

    Tyler2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Cozy colorful guest suite just outside of town. Easy access to many places. Our hosts were very kind and accommodating.

  • We had a terrific prolonged stay and hated to leave. All the prior reviews were accurate in their descriptions of the location (at the edge of town, in the hills, with great walking opportunities), the great hospitality of the hosts (especially Rene and Elvia Sr., who live in the adjoining house), and the accommodations themselves. The quirky little town of Patagonia is a short drive or 20 minute walk away and you can also walk to the Paton Center in 20 minutes. The views are outstanding from the private patio - it is such a peaceful and quiet setting. Although the suite is attached to the main residence, we experienced a good sense of privacy (except for a telephone that rang on the other side of the wall occasionally). We'd like to experience Patagonia at other times of the year. If we do, this is where we would like to stay again.

  • Wow! This apartment is perfect for a trip to Patagonia. It’s quiet and peaceful with lovely mountain views. You are close to town and yet it feels remote and as if you’re out in the country. It’s quiet and dark, great for stargazing and sleeping. You will have everything you need here. After a hike, there was a good hot shower, and the flannel sheets sure felt nice when I was here in late December and there was a 22 degree night. Kelley, Elvia, and her family are friendly, warm, and kind. I felt right at home. I would definitely stay here again and am already dreaming of coming back next winter. Definitely recommend.

  • This was a great place to stay! The rooms were beautifully decorated and clean. There was an amazing view of the mountains and the sunrise/sunset. The hosts were wonderful. I would definitely stay there again!

  • Elvia's place is homey, comfortable and well-equipped. It's a short drive from town. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Casita Mariposa is tucked into one of Patagonia's most charming neighborhoods, just a five-minute walk from shops, restaurants and the Tucson Audubon's Paton Center for Hummingbirds. The casita's many large windows look out onto expansive gardens planted and designed to delight the senses as well as serve as habitat for the incredible variety of birds found here. The kitchenette with full stove and refrigerator allows guests the option of preparing meals, a definite plus for longer stays.
Casita Mariposa and the main house share an interior wall, but do not have any shared interior spaces. Guests have a private entrance and private patio. The spacious great room holds a sitting area, a kitchen area with stove and refrigerator, table and chairs for eating, as well as a partially screened nook where a twin bed nestles under the windows with a lovely view of the garden. The light-filled bedroom has a queen bed with extra-nice bedding, a closet and chest of drawers. There is a down comforter for chilly nights. The bathroom is decorated with Southwest flair, including a copper sink, Mexican tin and tile mirror, and slate tile in the shower.
It's a short walk to everything! Town restaurants and shops are five minutes away. The Paton Center for Hummingbirds is less than ten minutes. If you're up for more of a walk, the Patagonia-Sonoita Creek Preserve is less than two miles away. And you can walk for miles beyond that in beautiful natural surroundings
  • Relaxing, perfect location. Feels like home.

    Janet2020-03-22T00:00:00Z
  • A great place to relax and feel at home. Fantastic hosts and you can feel free to ask them anything as they are extremely hospitable. If you want your space you’ll have it... in fact Doug only mowed the lawn when I was gone so as not to disturb me. And there were a ton of birds and also spring blooming in the gardens... just beautiful! I will be back! Thank you for everything!

    Sandra2020-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • Casita Mariposa is the perfect getaway! It is within walking distance of the Paton Center for Hummingbirds and the Nature Conservancy as well as hiking trails and local restaurants. When you travel it is often the little touches that make you feel extra special and Doug and Mary Jo really went out of their way to make us feel welcomed! They provided us with excellent local recommendations and stocked their place with every amenity you could possibly think of to make your stay comfortable. Casita Mariposa is a must visit and we are already planning our next visit!

    Allison2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great spot: quiet, peaceful, easy access to town and the Paton Center, plenty of birds out our window, firm comfortable bed, quality kitchen appliances, lots of towels and toiletries. The real surprise is the friendly, responsive hosts, Doug and Mary Jo. They put extra ease and joy into our stay.

    Lisa2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Charming cottage in the village. Lovely garden and lotsa birds. Doug and Maryjo are very helpful and friendly and we were very comfortable in Casa Mariposa.

  • We loved our 10 day stay with Mary Jo and Doug! They were both so sweet and helpful, and gave great recommendations. The bnb had everything we needed and we loved enjoying their beautiful yard. Can’t wait to visit again!

    Gabrielle2020-01-21T00:00:00Z
  • This is the sixth or seventh time we’ve stayed here. Doug and Mary Jo are the best hosts. Place is always clean and fresh. And it is walking distance to everything in town.

COVID-19 NOTE: WE ARE KEEPING THIS PLACE UNOCCUPIED FOR 3 DAYS BETWEEN EACH RESERVATION. This house is pet friendly, situated on a large unfenced semi wild playing area but still only 1000 feet of paved sidewalk from the post office and bakery. Then walk half a block on to the start of downtown and the visitor information center! There are multiple easy, large off-street parking spaces, check-in with keypad and now we have WiFi also!
Excellent heating and air conditioning systems.
Patagonia is a small, charming, peaceful town with all stores, restaurants, and birding within walking distance. There is easy access to nearby attractions such as Patagonia Lake State Park, San Rafael Valley grasslands, Arizona Trail, Sonoita wineries and breweries, Audobon's Paton House, Nature Conservancy, Sonoita Creek Preserve and many more.
  • Virginia’s place is great! Lots of room to spread out. Great location for venturing out throughout southern Arizona. Nice quiet place to come home to each evening. Patagonia is charming with some great restaurants and shops. We loved our visit!

    Barbara2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • This house was all that we hoped for. Don’t let the exterior fool you, because the house is every bit as charming as the pictures show and more. We had a great 4 days of hiking and bike riding.

    Amy2019-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • Nice and cozy. Loved the big bathroom. Nice and bright and very clean.

    George2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • This place was an amazing spot to stay while bird hunting in the area. We enjoyed the quiet and cozy space that welcomed our dogs! If you are particular bring your own sheets (we are picky about bed sheets), other than that it was perfect! Virginia even authorized an extra night which was much appreciated!!!

    Amanda2019-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • Virginia's place, as always, was great! Will stay here again.

    Walt2019-11-28T00:00:00Z
  • The location is perfect for enjoying town and the surrounding beauty. The house was very clean and it also has an amazing shower. The hosts were so friendly, warm, and inviting: we felt like family.

    Theresa2019-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • Virginia’s place is convenient and everything you need.

    Walt2019-11-01T00:00:00Z
  • The Meadow Cottage is such a sweet spot to stay in Patagonia - easily walkable to town, and so comfortable, like home away from home. The area is peaceful and quiet, and the cottage is decorated with love. The beds were comfortable, with fluffy linens, and there were a lot of nice touches - tea, coffee, sweeteners and creamers, plus shampoo and conditioner. It felt like we could move right in and enjoy our visit. Virginia was awesome at communicating with us in advance, and called to make sure we settled in okay. All around, a lovely stay!
