We can host alongside events aboard the yacht for up to 25 people to include Champagne and canapés. Alternatively, we can offer a full buffet or the ultimate drinks party onboard.
Extremely welcoming and organised. The boat was in stunning condition and the host provided food and drinks and even 7 of us could not finish half of it. Beautiful weather made the weekend and air show in Torquay was spectacular. After we docked up for the evening the host left us to it and we enjoyed a lovely evening. It was perfectly executed by the owners/host Weekend to remember. Matt South Wales
Ready for her relaunch in May 2017.
This wooden sailing boat has been converted into a lovely escape for a couple or a family of four. If you like, you can pop up a tent or two next to it too. (Charges apply).
We had a rocky start, see terrible review below and decided to let her outside of Airbnb last year with great success. But we crowdfunded £5000 to improve her and now she is RELAUNCHING!
As the name suggests she sits on top of a hill. She is a 30ft wooden sailing boat which has been lovingly converted into a glamping adventure!
With more than a goodly dollop of humour, we built a quay wall which she is "authentically" (cough splutter) moored alongside and cunningly houses a little kitchen and place to hang coats below. In the cabin you will find a double bed and two single day beds which can act sofas for a couple on a romantic break or beds for the kids for a family adventure.
The views from the deck are wonderful.
The host was very friendly and welcoming. The views and the setting are both very special. The accommodation felt unfinished and very poorly converted, there's nothing good quality about it. The interior of the boat was dirty and quite uncomfortable. It's a great idea but not very professionally done, it feels 'shabby' rather than 'shabby chic' The lean-to kitchen dining area is very badly thought out, we all banged our heads constantly on the unnecessarily low ceiling and the table and chairs are unusable. The toilet, shower and cooker all didn't work. There was a large party going on on the first night which kept us awake until 2.30am. The hosts dogs roamed free in our 'private' area and deficated and urinated were we were eating and then sat on the dining table. The breakfast was good and there is a plentiful supply of logs for the fire.
Come out with me for an evening on Phoebe. I will cook you a meal on-board, we can drink to the sunset and tell tales of the sea under lamp light. I live on Phoebe year round, beautiful!
We might even go sailing.
Double bed in main cabin.
She is a boat
Phoebe is moored in the middle of the Exe estuary, it is stunning, and has some of the best sunsets i have ever seen.
