Kyle place was simply AWESOME. I would personally recommend Kyle as a Super Host. Kyle was very proactive about all our needs during the stay. He was very responsive about any questions. The house was very clean and he had put notes on places so that if we have any questions then it would solve it. The view from the house was great, the property has dedicated basketball and long tennis court for the guest. Each one of us enjoyed to the fullest. Thanks Kyle once again for letting us stay at your place. It was one of the most memorable long weekend we have ever spend.

I chose Kyles house because of the location and area. My prime goal was to escape reality with comfort. Kyle's house was so big and clean and the kitchen was perfect for hosting. I will be returning back to this property as soon as I have more vacation time. We really enjoyed our short vacation! Hill crest Manor is a perfect place to get away! With beautiful views all around, this house is spacious, comfortable and well equipped. Kyle is an excellent host! He was very welcoming, easy to reach and provided us with everything we needed! The location is great- short drive to Woodstock and Quechee! We wish we had stayed longer!

This was the first time I've ever used AirBnB and I can't imagine a better place or host than Hillcrest Manor and Kyle. Beautiful property with breathtaking views of the surrounding hills. We saw hot air balloons lift off from between the trees and sail over the hill all 3 nights. The house has all of the room and comforts for a large troop and is stocked with anything you would need. Great kitchen table for games and cards. Perfect perch for a fire pit that appears to put your head in the stars. Super comfortable heavy wooden adirondack chairs on the front deck with a great view of the hills was probably my favorite spot. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants an authentic Vermont experience. Thank you Kyle! A true gentleman.

Absolutely beautiful. Very secluded and private. The area around the cottage is full of flowers - so beautiful. The cottage is a perfect size and Amy could not have been nicer and easier to chat with. The cottage is beautiful inside - very comfortable and clean with everything you could need. Amy offered to buy me food prior to my arrival to make it easier since it is a little drive to the store. She brought me freshly baked bread and cream for my coffee too! I'll stay here again for sure!

The Peaceable Kingdom was fantastic. It was the perfect way to get a true Vermont experience. Amy and her dog were sweet and the apartment was beautiful. Hopefully one day I'll return!

As many other reviewers have said, Amy's place is a real hidden gem. The cottage is beautiful, spacious, clean, quiet, comfortable, and absolutely perfect when you need to get away for a night or a weekend. Although I only met Amy briefly on my way out, you can really tell that she puts extra care into making sure her guests have what they need. I spent a great evening reading and relaxing, and then, in the morning, the fridge was stocked with everything I could ever want for a gourmet breakfast. Definitely, definitely plan on returning again!

Had a wonderful time at Amy's home. The guest house on her property is well furnished, has a fully equipped kitchen and was a relaxing home away from home. The property is fantastic. Nested up in the hills, with views of the adjacent valley, Amy has a beautiful garden and a quiet, tranquil spot in the woods. The fridge was stocked with breakfast supplies, Amy was extremely responsive and gave great directions to the house (you want to be careful following (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) Maps too closely in rural Vermont). Highly recommended!

The area was gorgeous and the house is even more beautiful in person than in the pictures. Everything we could have wanted was there! It snowed during our visit and she even plowed the long driveway right before we left to make it easier to get out. I would definitely stay there again, 10/10!

We had such a nice stay at the Brookside Studio! Justin and Maggie couldn't be more wonderful. Maggie was there to greet us when we arrived, and showed us around the space, which was so much larger than I'd expected! It's a beautifully decorated light-filled space, in a peaceful little spot, but there's river swimming within easy walking distance, as well as a great spot to get ice cream. We requested a couple of extra kitchen items for the dinner we were cooking, and Justin and Maggie were very accommodating and prompt responding. They were such warm hosts, happy to socialize, or give us our space, whichever we preferred. The sheets were so soft, and the bed was nice and firm. My boyfriend who often has back trouble when he travels said he slept better than he has in weeks! There's a cozy little fireplace in the living area, and although it was a little warm for a fire this time, I'm already plotting to stay there again when the weather turns cold enough to snuggle up by the fire. Thanks again, Justin and Maggie!!!

Justin and Maggie was my first time with Airbnb. The experience was WAY better than I anticipated. My friend and I stayed for a weekend. Their hospitality was outstanding, the facilities were extremely comfortable and peaceful. It felt as if we knew Justin for years, right from the minute we met. Justin and Maggie should be the yardstick that other Airbnb hosts are held up to. We were floored by their hospitality, which included an impromptu homemade pancake breakfast. Thanks to this great experience, we will definitely use Airbnb again. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the eastern Vermont/Western New Hampshire area.

A cozy little studio apartment in Vermont. Very peaceful and quiet, and beautifully set up. Great for a weekend of r&r. Justin is very accommodating and friendly.

We stayed the whole weekend and this place was absolutely amazing! It was quite, no cell service, but the wifi was on point. When you stay here, I recommend going to the Samurai Soul Food restaurant. There's also a drive in theater near by. The personal touch they added just for me made me really feel welcome. Everything was clean and stocked. Take a beer, leave a beer. I'd give it a full five stars, and Justin and his GF deserve it for making our stay just perfect, but the only black mark is the pictures need to be updated. There is a wooded mountain behind the house, but it's not in the woods like I thought.

Ned's fortress nestled into the green Vermont hills was the perfect weekend escape from the city. The cabin itself is gorgeously designed with ample natural light that is refreshing and beautiful. The fortress came stocked with everything we needed to be able to cook our own meals. The views are wonderful during the day and the stargazing is amazing at night. This is a great place for a couple to stay. We enjoyed a delicious dinner at Stone Soup in Strafford and highly recommend the restaurant. The only suggestion I would make is to (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) map everything beforehand and have detailed directions - we had trouble finding the house and a couple of the hikes listed in the guidebook.

My husband and I had a great stay here and plan to come back in August. We were visiting from Brooklyn and were both happy to unplug and enjoy the peace and quiet (no cellphone reception or wifi were major pluses for us). The Fortress is especially conducive to getting work done: I had plenty of time to read and write and would love to return in a couple years when the time comes to work on my dissertation. Of all the region's many attractions, we had time to visit the Magic Mountain hiking trail (which was lots of fun, look out for the abandoned farm house) and Soup Stone Restaurant (which was excellent; I highly recommend it. If you are vegetarian the Chef will gladly prepare something special for you). The only thing that we didn't consider: in mid-April, the hiking trails are still quite snowy and not readily accessible (given our lack of adequate snow gear). So if you plan to visit in April and intend to see some of the outdoor sights (of which there are many), bring proper apparel. Also, staying 2 nights was definitely not long enough! Next time we will plan to stay for at least a week.

It was dissappointing that there were only three beds whilst it was listed as four. The description of the house says that you can call Ned anytime you need, but thats difficult when there is no internet or cellphone coverage. The house was poorly equiped and THE pictures were somewhat over promising.

Really enjoyed our stay. Photos are pretty representative of the place, though the upstairs has only ambiance lighting, so it is pretty dark at night. Place was very clean upon arrival. I'm more of a city person, and I felt that there was a bit to do upon arrival (like any summer home my friends say). There were a few wasps between the porch door and screen, but that just took us a little bit to coax them away. The bed sheets were folded on each bed, so that took us a few more minutes. But otherwise solid stay. Really beautiful house and environment. The sunrise is stunning. Definitely no cell reception!

This was the perfect romantic getaway for my boyfriend and I. We had the most magical time. The house was perfect because it was secluded... we loved the fact that there was no wifi, cell service or television. This is a perfect escape from the hussle and bustle of every day city life. I would highly recommend this place for a peaceful getaway. Ned was extremely helpful and a wonderful host, we especially found the guidebook extremely thoughtful and helpful. We would definitely stay there again.

We were here for attending the commencement ceremony at Dartmouth. We had a great time. It was clean, serene, quiet, scenic and waking up to the happy chirping sounds of birds and farm animals was the best of all! There is a lovely garden in the backyard with flowers, geese, hens and cows too. Chuck and Joan are very good hosts who let us check in earlier than planned and were willing to help us in any way they could to make our stay comfortable. Highly recommend this place.

A great place to stay to get out for a weekend. Not more than 15 minutes away from activities like lake Morey or lake Fairlee. The hosts are a pleasure to stay with as well. Would highly recommend for a weekend getaway.

We were promptly greeted when we arrived. This was a perfect location for our visit. The apartment was clean and exactly as advertised. Well equipped kitchen. Loved listening to the farm animals as well.

Great hosts! A nice, clean, spacious, and private apartment. The area is rural surrounded by farmland. Close to Lake Fairlee and a short drive to Morely Lake. Did some hiking, boating and much needed relaxing. We would love to stay there again if in the area.

Great value for rustic cottage which worked out great for my family (2 adults, 4 kids, and a dog). Hosts were very helpful and provided some groceries which was great since we arrived late and there aren't grocery stores nearby.

Tara was a great host! She was very thoughtful with everything she provided for a delicious breakfast and even put out toys and water for our dogs. The house was even more beautiful than I had imagined. We had a great time. It was the perfect spot for a nice getaway from the city.

The cabin was very comfortable and warm . Set back in the forest it was quiet and we rested well . I would recommend it .

We had a wonderfully relaxing week at Tara's guest house. It was everything we were hoping for: a secluded and quiet gem which seems to melt into the surrounding woods. Nearby, there's plenty to do, and we spent several days hiking the Cross-Rivendell trail, making forays into the Green and White Mountains and paying a rainy day visit to the Fairbanks Museum in St. J. This is a guest house with personality: awesome views from each window, lots of interesting nooks and crannies, a great collection of nature/environmental books.. spacious kitchen, comfortable beds (and bedrooms) and an especially awesome cathedral ceiling which fills with sun each morning. The home is clean from top to bottom and well-cared for, with the essentials you'll need to get-away-from-it-all. Tara and Elizabeth.. you were perfect hosts and easy to reach when needed. We'd stay with you again without hesitation. Thanks for such a perfect week!

Tara's cabin is a wonderful place to get away. The house itself is cozy and charming, and the woodsy setting is absolutely wonderful. As the website description says, the location is a little off the beaten track. She had thoughtfully stocked the refrigerator with some basics, but come prepared with the groceries you want or to drive a bit to find them. Highly recommend this for a quiet get-away!!

We stayed at Amanda's place for 3 nights and would recommend it to anyone looking for a lovely spot with spacious accommodation and well-equipped kitchen. It is a ground floor apartment with lots of room and open views across the wooded hills beyond. We self-catered whilst staying here and the kitchen had everything we needed. The bedroom was comfortable and the bathroom fine. All clean and well-maintained. There is a lot of storage space should you need it. Amanda met us on arrival and check-in was easy. All in all a pleasant stay in a lovely part of Vermont.

It was great. Even though she had checkin time of 3-7PM but we couldn't reach on time but still she was up to welcome us to her home. I felt good when i actually entered home (fresh, things at hand, breakfast basket). Also the location a bit top so it was good to enjoy starry night.

We were pleasantly surprised at how nice the accommodations were. Amanda greeted us warmly and made our stay very enjoyable. This is a nice quiet place and we definitely would stay here again when traveling to this area.

The house had everything one would need, from a full kitchen, with continental breakfast items, to a cozy fireplace, and a TV with movies. The view from the front windows is breathtaking, and Amanda made sure there was nothing lacking.

Harrison's place is a handmade heaven. Warm and cozy with the most incredible views. Harrison greeted us and was very communicative throughout our stay and gave us our privacy. Absolutely fell in love with the spot, couple miles away from two different lakes and the coolest drive in movie theatre. We'll be sure to check back in next time we're up that way.

Harrison's place was definitely the most artistic and magical airbnbs we've ever stayed at, and now one of our favorites! His house is a dream, pictures don't even do justice. Every detail in his house is truly remarkable and unique, down to the wood stove hot tub. He even greeted us in the morning, and offered us coffee! Best host ever! This place had amazing architecture and had great vibes. It was so relaxing being set back into the woods, waking up to the sun shining in through the huge windows and hearing birds chirping. When we got there the power was out but Harrison was quick to get us situated with candles for the evening. He was very accommodating and gave great recommendations for nearby attractions. Fairlee is a much underrated area. There are a bunch of neat things to do including a hot air balloon museum and farms with fresh fruits, meats and cheeses.

Anita and Mark are friendly, gentle off-grid Vermonters. Their garden and field are nicely tended. We arrived at night and our way to the tipi was lit by soft solar lanterns. In spite of heavy recent rains, the tipi was dry and cozy, although certainly more like camping than like being in a house -- there's a certain amount of dirt and moisture to contend with. It's a good idea to learn how to close the flaps in case of a sudden rain in the night, which can be an adventure. Bugs were not a problem, and having a fire inside in the fire circle was easy and nice, and worked for coffee and hot dogs in the morning (using their wood and our own gear). The outhouse was clean and delightful and works well. Be prepared to navigate on your way to the location -- it's a fair way out into the woods on small roads. Well worth the trip, and we would certainly come back.

Our stay at the tipi was truly unique experience. Kids loved sleeping by the fire, roasting marshmallows, and playing outside. Anita and Mark are wonderful hosts. They set everything up at the tipi, provided beakfast in the morning, and even drove us to a pond for a swim. We would love to stay longer and will definitely plan to come back. Thank you!

A stunningly beautiful spot on a hill with meadow paths leading up and the woods beyond. Anita and Mark were wonderful, warm and welcoming. The S'mores ingredients they left for us made for a wonderful campfire dessert in the Tipi despite a little rain. A lovely spot.

Anita and Mark weren't there when we were staying there but their son helped my friends and I get settled and we enjoyed our stay at the tipi. It was clean and warmer than I thought it would be which was great. The fireplace was really nice and smores were fantastic!

Mark and Anita are wonderful.. very accommodating, super helpful and overall just very kind people. Our stay at their tipi exceeded our expectations and we would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for something a little different! Definitely look forward to staying again!

Had a blast at this small off the grid farm in Vermont. Brian was very helpful with everything and we really couldn't of asked for a better host. From starting a campfire to sending us home with a bagful of his farm picked green beans for our drive back he was just extremely welcoming. Definitely going to stay here again!

Fantastic start to finish! Brian went out of his way to make the stay a great memory. This is an off the grid experience and he was very generous with his time. The animals on the farm are star attractions and the camper was clean and situated perfectly on the edge of his property. He even supplied a hearty breakfast. Will be back. Can't go wrong staying here if you want an off the grid experienced.

This place is awesome! Brian and his wife have created a farm haven behind the house complete with open air enclosures for their sheep, their pigs, their majestic turkey...and the list goes on. The camper at the back of the property is cozzy and we slept three very comfortably. We'll be staying again next time we'll be in the area for sure.

Brian and family were excellent hosts. Brian assisted us with checking in, using the tractor to transport our things down to the site and a fire was already lite... The camper was an experience to remember... So much rain, that I thought we would get wet inside (some water sweat through the canvas). Double check the weather report prior to camping. We are new to camping... It rained most of the time and so we did not get a chance to enjoy the farm or the outdoors. Beautiful though... Brian suggested a children's museum, which was a great idea for the girls, when it was raining. When it was not raining our girls enjoyed greeting the animals (turkey, sheep, chicken, and the rabbit was their favorite)! This was a good first our family (2 toddlers and parents)!

Terri & Brian have a lovely farm. Although Brian was away for the length of the stay, Terri was very sweet and accommodating. The camper is in the back of the farm and we spent many hours relaxing in the sun and visiting the animals. Our stay gave us a real peak into the life of homesteading. They have everything you need for an off the grid experience. Not to mention, an outdoor shower which we enjoyed with the summer light on our skin as it shone through the grape leaves growing above and around it. We had a wonderful time. A nice "break from it all". Any experienced camper would be missing out if they didn't stay a night here. If we are in the area again we would definitely try to stay with them. Their three labs are were the first to welcome us as we pulled into the driveway. We bonded with the pups and will have fond memories of our stay for years to come.

Brian and Terry made us feel very, very welcome. The tent is on a corner of the property that gave us privacy. At the same time, the doors of their home were open to us if we needed anything. They shared the vegetables in the garden and invited us to a family party. Brian made sure the camper had enough water and power every day, and brought a brand new grill down to the camper for our use. The night sky was spectacular.

We felt most welcomed at Brian's, even given the short notice given to them of our arrival. It met all our expectations and more.

We never got to meet Bonna in person because we came in the afternoon and left early the next morning. We truly appreciated her quick responses and flexibility. We enjoyed our "getaway" and the yurt was comfortable and warm. We would come again!

Unfortunately could not stay at the yurt but Bonna is very responsive and nice and I hope to have the opportunity to stay if I'm in the area again!

Bonna was excellent. We didn't see her all that much, which was fine because a quiet vacation in the woods of VT was just what we were looking for. Bonna and Megan had everything set-up for us; wood, water, flashlights, candles, internet (if we needed it), snow-shoes, kayaks, and a whole lot of wooded land! Bonna made it very clear that her home was our home and she opened up everything to us. Also, house and both yurts are all off the grid, which is pretty awesome in its own right.

Due to horrible weather we could not make it to the beautiful yurt. Bonna was kind and generous and we felt terrible that we couldn't stay at the yurt, another time!

Bonna is a delightful, warm, and friendly host. My wife and I stayed at the yurt the night before our anniversary, and enjoyed a secluded forest retreat near a babbling creek and many fun places to hike and adventure. We went with Bonna to a nearby blueberry patch and picked two buckets-full, then made blueberry pies with Bonna in the evening. We were happy to have such a great yurt and beautiful surroundings, but the true joy was in the friend we made in Bonna. I would highly recommend this stay to anyone looking for peace, calm, and a caring community.

Please do your self a favor and book this cabin, this is a steal. The pond on the property was gorgeous and no one around to bother you. It was such a joy to enjoy the quietness and nature in the property. The host provided with water, beer, and the kitchen is fully functional. All you need to bring is your clothes and food that you want to cook. The host does offer to do grocery shopping for you prior to your arrival since the nearest market is 30-40 minutes away (Hannaford) with a $30.00 charge. My furry friend enjoyed the outdoor, ran around all day and enjoyed playing Frisbee with me in the open land. There is no reception at the house, but there is a home phone and WiFi if you need to stay connected with others. She has a drawer full of DVDs, and board games if you want to sit down and play with your significant other. The DVR is filled with recorded shows and TV shows, have your pick (catch up on Shameless!). Please print out the directions prior to arrival, there is no reception at least 20 minutes driving radius from the property. Whenever you leave the cabin, make sure you turn on your WiFi and use the cabin's internet to provide GPS to your destination... so that way you still have the map and directions working even if you lose internet service on your smartphone. If you plan to hike Mt. Moosilauke, please be advised to bring gloves, hat, jacket, plenty of water/food, and hiking shoes! What are you waiting for? BOOK NOW!

Great host, very communicative and was able to accommodate our breakfast request since we could not eat sugar, Rick brought mini bagels for our breakfast. Cabin is very cozy and filled with books, DVDs and kids' toys. The only thing I would suggest is it would be nice to have a table there, so if people order take out, they have a table to eat on. Overall, a good experience!

Great spot to stay! Adorable cabin right next to a bubbling brook. Definitely the best of Vermont! Check-in was easy and they had everything I could have needed. Woke up rested and ready to face the world.

We had an amazing time at Rick's! The perfect spot for a quiet weekend getaway. Minutes away from a resort that has a cute bar with live music, and pond skating. The cabin was very quaint and cozy, and Rick was an awesome host. Highlight of the trip was a daring chicken rescue. We would love to stay again.

Rick and communicated back and forth about staying at his place and he made someone was there to greet our party. We had 5 of us staying in the cabin for a nearby wedding, which fit us all and felt cozy and warm, on this damp weekend. Although all the beds are in the same room, essentially, there is privacy provided by a wall divider. Everything was comfortable, easy to get to and a perfect spot to stay for our nearby wedding. We even went on a easy, but climbing hike down the road to Eagle's Bluff, with a bit of a view through the fog. Breakfast was delicious!

A picture perfect weekend in a picture perfect place. Rick and Lauren's place is amazing...we can't say enough about it! Our two boys loved all of the games and toys as well as roasting marshmallows over the fire that Rick had built. We loved the super comfortable beds, the immaculate cleanliness, the in-house coffee maker, the really cool books...really we loved all of it! The homemade muffins and sweet rolls, yogurt, juice and fruit delivered in the morning in a basket just topped off one of the best airbnb experiences we have had.

Justin was great at communicating before hand. Getting to the studio was easy as it is off a main road. The place was so welcoming and had everything we needed for a great weekend. This is a place where you choose to interact (which I recommend Justin and crew were a great time!) or spend sometime alone. We loved walking to the river, hanging on the porch and my pup loved exploring the backyard! All in all a lovely time! Thanks so much for our weekend getaway!

The apartment is very cozy and has everything you might need. I felt very well taken care of and would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Maggie greeted us upon our arrival. She was very warm and welcoming. The rooms were very well arranged and decorated. The rack with tourist brochures and maps was a nice touch. The kitchen was stocked better than any airbnb we've stayed at. The funiture looks fine but is a little uncomfortable for guests who plan on spending a lot of time in the space during their stay. Although a lack of cell reception made communications challenging, the wireless worked flawlessly.

Beautiful private studio and very welcoming hosts in a wonderful surrounding! A place where one should stay definitely more than just one night!

Justin and Maggie were extremely welcoming. With the exception of toothpaste there was nothing that I needed. Lol The place was above and beyond my expectations. The photos on they Pro vied do not do justice to the space.. The space is well-designed down to small details. Justin and Maggie had Maps along with restaurant locations and menus available in the unit. It took a little while to get to the location, but wad extremely worth it. I'm already planning my return trip.

This was our second stay at Riverside studio, we loved it just as much as the first time! The space is very calm and clean, with beautiful surroundings. We had great time exploring Hanover/ Lyme/ Norwich, and hanging out on the porch with Justin, Maggie and their friends! Would love to come back again.

STAY HERE!!!! Sadly, we were only at the riverside studio for a quick night stay, but were so very happy to have chosen such a wonderful place. Justin was so kind, welcoming, and open to all our needs. Provided us a great map to hike and directions. The place was clean and well organized, the bed was so very comfortable, and the peace the surroundings provide are amazing. We would defiantly stay again!

The Riverside Studio was just as described and pictured, a really great place. We arrived via bicycle so we didn't have a car to go out to dinner. Justin was very accommodating, he offered us a place to store our bicycles for the night on his covered porch. He also recommended the local general store for a local option for dinner within walking distance. The store usually serves dinner, such as pizza and a full deli . Unfortunately the pizza/deli portion of the general store unexpectedly closed early the night we arrived; but since the studio has such a well stocked kitchen we were able to grab some hamburg and a few other essentials at the general store and cook in! The studio is clean, cozy and comfortable, just perfect after our long bike ride. We will definitely stay here again when we return to the area. Thanks Justin

This place was absolutely gorgeous! The home was very spacious and we were able to relax with ease. Surprisingly there was even WiFi. I would definitely recommend a stay here!

We had a wonderful stay at Fairlee. We needed lodging for parents weekend at Norwich University and this was perfect. A little bit of a commute but it was a beautiful scenic drive on a low traffic route. The house was fully equipped with anything we needed. Farm stands and a supermarket were close enough to make preparing meals easy. It was a quiet, clean, comfortable space that allowed us to have family time and hang out together like we were at home. Chandra was very accommodating with special requests. Any information that you could possibly need is available in the house. We will be looking to stay here again next year. It was everything we needed to be comfortable and enjoy time with family. Thank you for such a wonderful stay

We had an amazing time at Chandra's chalet! The beds were comfy.. It was spacious for the 5 people we had and the location was perfect for the wedding we had down the road! She was responsive and we had a lovely time:)

Went to Fairleee for a pond hockey tournament with some friends and didn't want to do the hotel thing. This was a perfect option for our group. It was about 10 minutes from Lake Morey Resort, had all of the amenities we needed, and was easy to get to. Not sure what it's like in the summer but if you're looking for winter sports, this is a great place! I would definitely recommend Chandra's place for a small group that's looking for a home away from home feel. Very clean, very quiet, all around great stay!

Our group of six people in three generations, and a loveable dog, had a superb four night vacation and we appreciated all Chandra's suggestions over the phone and on emails. Her airbnb on Lake Fairlee is a wonderful vacation house in a secluded neighborhood away from other houses. It is on a hill with a view of the lake from an attractive deck on three sides and there is a big living room with comfortable couches and chairs, and a dining table. The kitchen is well appointed and includes a garbage disposal, dishwasher, and ice maker. There is also a WiFi connection and we found lots of plugs for laptops and Ipads. For an entrance fee, there was great swimming and boating at the town beach about 1/8 mile down the road and there were lovely walks near Thetford. The people in the area were delightful and our stay was a special treat.
