Royal Springs is a 5-acre county park with a beautiful natural spring, a spring run, and a few short waterfalls in the spring run depending on the height of the river. There are four overlook decks so you can enjoy the view. One of the most popular aspects of Royal Springs is the jumping platform for those who like a little adventure but there is also a shallow end that is kid-friendly. The pool area is 200 feet wide and 42 feet deep and there is exposed limestone around the pool area.

If you are staying for a few days and want to take a day trip to the oldest town in the US then you must go to St.Augustine FL. It’s only a 2 hour drive through farms and gorgeous pine forests, so if you leave right after breakfast you will make it just in time for lunch.

City advice

Getting around

Car

Even though some of the roads are not paved our county does a great job of maintaining everything. You don’t need a truck and a regular sedan will be just fine.
Don't miss

Springs

The area is all about springs and nature. Make your list and visit every spring. We have several people that sell produce or fresh farm eggs so pay attention to the signs.
Don't miss

Fresh eggs and produce

As you drive around town, pay attention to the signs. A lot of people in our area will sell fresh produce or fresh farm chicken eggs(absolutely delicious). We recommend you have cash with you and support our small local community.
Ways to save

Visit state park springs

It only costs $6 per car to get into a state park spring(Ichitucknee, gilcrest, little river). Genie springs will cost about $15 per each passenger.
