This is one of my favorite places to go take a hike without having to drive far from the city. The park is 326 acres & there are also designated trails for mountain biking! There are plenty of picnic tables for having a picnic and a large playground to bring the kiddos. Please not it is a state park & therefore has an entry fee ($10 for the day or a $30 Discover Pass)

Mt Pilchuck is one of my personal favorite hikes in the area. It's relatively close to the city. There is an amazing view and a fire lookout at the top! Due to the elevation, snow can arrive in late spring and last into the summer at the top. Definitely check out the Washington Trails Association (wta.org) website for recent trip reports and more details (including photos) on the hike.
