This is a really nice drive into the desert and mountains. There is a campground at the end of the road and trails. Be sure to have high top hiking shoes, plenty of water, and walking sticks would be advised. Rocky trails

Great place for quick hikes. Don’t underestimate this little mountain, it’s a work out. Wear boots as trails have loose rock. Fully exposed to the sun so be prepared. Great views and native plants and cacti.

This is my favorite little hole in the wall Mexican restaurant. They have great fresh food. Wonderful chili rellenos. Huge hamburgers,and delicious shrimp cocktails. Open early till 7pm, closed on Sunday.

It’s hot in the desert 🏜 I recommend you plan to be up early
The most comfortable time of day in the summer is early! Plan for a nap instead of sleeping in to enjoy the desert. Take water everywhere! Cactus blooms open once it warms up
